Several studies have investigated the success of ASP(Application Service Provider) from various perspectives. This study, thus, investigated factors affecting ASP effectiveness in various literature relevant ASP and outsourcing. By applying the basic ideas of the IS success model, this study proposes a research model of the factors affecting the success of ASP, in term of internal factors(Top Management Involvement, User Participation, IS Maturity) and external factors(Transaction Reliability, Service Reliability, System Trust Security). The proposed model is expected to help both researchers and practitioners extend their understanding of the success factors of the ASP effectiveness.

Application Service Provider(ASP), the service provider who manages and delivers standard application functionality or associated service across a network to multiple customers using a usage-based pricing model, has appeared as a new business style in information technology market. For successful implementation of the ASP model, some critical issues should be noted. Because these issues are related to service qualities, certification and audit of ASP are important. This paper investigates characteristics of the ASP model and designs the proper frameworks for certification and audit of ASP. It is examined how the framework can remove potential threats and risks of the ASP model, and how the framework can be compared with traditional approaches.

본 연구는 국내 섬유의류산업의 공급사슬관리 시스템인 QR(Quick Response) 시스템 구현에 웹서비스 기반의 ASP(WS-ASP) 모델을 제시한다. 국내 섬유의류산업은 대부분 중소기업으로 구성되어 있어서 전문 IT인력을 확보하기 어렵고 대규모 IT 투자여력도 없는 형편이다. ASP 모델은 소프트웨어 온 디맨드 서비스를 저렴한 사용 수수료로 제공받을 수 있다는 장점 이 있으나, ASP 벤더에 대한 의존도가 높아 벤더 위험이 크다는 단점이 있다. 본 연구는 WS-ASP모델을 통해 소프트웨어 온 디맨드 서비스를 여러 특화된 WS-ASP벤더에 분산시켜 벤더 위험을 감소시킴으로써 ASP모델의 단점을 보완하여 QR 시스템에 적절함을 제시하였다.

애플리케이션 아웃소싱의 새로운 형태로 등장하고 있는 ASP 모델은 정보시스템을 자체적으로 개발하여 운영할 인력과 전문성이 부족한 중소기업에 적합하다. 그러나 ASP 모델에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 서비스품질은 ASP 핵심성공요인 가운데 하나로 거론되고 있지만 아직 ASP 서비스 품질을 측정하기 위한 타당한 도구가 개발되지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 마케팅 분야에서 서비스품질을 측정하기 위한 도구로 개발된 SERVQUAL을 응용하여 ASP 서비스 품질 측정 모델을 개발하여 실증분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 표본은 "소기업 네트워크화 사업"에 참여하고 있는 소기업 가운데 무작위로 300개 기업을 선정하여 방문조사를 통해 240개의 설문지를 수거했다. 그리고 이러한 조사자료를 분석한 결과 신뢰성과 유형성은 다른 어떤 서비스품질 구성요인보다도 사용자 개인성과 및 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The development of POS (Point of Sales) systems for small retailers according to their needs is considered to be important to improve their competitive advantages. However, their financial statuses hinder the adoption of the tailored POS systems. Viewing ASP as a viable solution to provide tailored POS systems for the small retailers, this study develops ASP POS service models for the small retailers. First, this study elicits ASP POS requirements of the small retailers in the following areas: merchandising, pricing, store design and display, customer service, advertising and promotion and personal selling. Then, the requirements are clustered and the clusters are analyzed based on the characteristics of the retailers. Then, ASP service models are proposed according to the needs and profiles of the retailers.

To overcome rapidly changing business environment, companies are focusing on their core business areas. Outsourcing in general has become a standard to sustain competitive advantage. ASP(Application Service Provider) service, another form of IT outsourcing, is business model for providing a contractual service offering to deploy, host, manage and rent access to an application from a centrally managed facility. The main purpose of this study is to investigate on the factors contributing to the success of ASP services by conducting an empirical research to enterprises using ASP service. For this purpose, we developed a research model based on the literature reviews of ASP services, IT outsourcing, and relational exchange. A total of 106 usable survey responses has been used in the analysis. The unit of analysis was relationship and respondents were person in charge of ASP service of each corporation. The findings indicates that (1) service tangibles, customization, partnership, IS maturity and monitoring of the vendor had an positive influence upon non-economic benefits, (2) service tangibles, IS maturity and monitoring of the vendor had an positive influence upon economic benefits, and (3) service tangibles, reliability, partnership and monitoring of the vendor had positive influence upon satisfaction about outcomes of relationships.

It is very important for performance of information system that we make an effort to raise user's satisfaction by continuously grasping user's requirement by evaluation of PMIS based on ASP service quality and reflecting this to information system. However, It is lack that developments of suitable evaluation index of PMIS based on ASP service quality. Hereupon, In this study, we propose the evaluation indicators. First, The evaluation area is classified by form the foundation of D & M IS Success Model (2003); system quality, information quality, service quality. Second, The detail evaluation item which include considerations which are gotten through investigation of the construction industry and PMIS based on ASP is grouping by form the foundation SERVQUAL which is a service quality evaluation tool proposed PZB(1988). It is suitable to evaluate PMIS based on ASP service quality in construction industry and able to evaluate various aspects.

Quality has long been considered as an important factor in creating competitive advantage, and researches on quality have not been limited to off-line products but actively extended to e-services and information goods. However, given the nature of multi-dimensional aspect of quality, the systematic study on the quality of online service is still in its early stage. Especially, studies on the quality of ASP services have been rare in academic and professional journals despite the growth of ASP industry in its size and the rapid expansion in the range of application. In this paper we clarified the multi-dimensional quality aspects of the ASP service using a Garvin's framework (1984) which encompasses the service aspects of Products, and developed a measurement model for ASP service qualify. Then we empirically tested the effects of ASP service quality on user satisfaction and perceived firm performance using the data from 240 Korean small firms with less than 50 employees that had experienced the ASP service. Our results show that there are positive relationships among ASP service quality and personal performance, user satisfaction and perceived firm performance, and that product and service-related aspects of ASP service exert differential effects on performance measures so that the product-related aspects of the ASP service such as performance, features, reliability and conformance are considered to be more important in evaluating benefits from ASP services. Contrary to the approaches In literature where only the quality of online services is evaluated, our results emphasize the importance of differentiating Product and service-related aspects of ASP service and provide a basis for more comprehensive evaluation of ASP service quality.

본 논문에서는 최근 들어 새로운 소프트웨어의 유통방식으로 이슈가 되고 있는 ASP/SaaS 산업현황과 비즈니스 모델의 개발전략에 대하여 기술한다. 먼저 ASP/SaaS 산업현황에서는 ASP의 진화개념으로서의 SaaS에 대하여 정의하고, ASP/SaaS 사업자와 이용자의 현황에 초점을 맞추어서 기술하기로 한다. 그리고 최신 IT 기술발전에 대응할 수 있는 ASP/SaaS 비즈니스 개발 전략을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 비즈니스 개발 전략은 ASP/SaaS 사업자들이 향후 비즈니스 시장에 새롭게 진출하거나 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 가이드라인으로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

최근 들어, 정보통신의 인프라구축 및 정보시스템의 도입에 대한 필요성은 널리 인식하고 있으면서도 막대한 초기 비용과 정보시스템의 관리비용의 부담으로 기업정보시스템(ERP)을 도입하지 못하고 있던 중소기업체에서 하드웨어와 ERP를 구입하거나 전문 요원을 배치하지 않고도 시스템을 도입할 수 있는 어플리케이션 서비스 제공(ASP) 모델이 새로운 대안으로 자리잡고 있다. 본고에서는 IT 비즈니스의 새로운 형태로 자리잡고 있는 ASP 모델을 바탕으로 학교도서관 정보시스템의 적용 가능성을 검토하고, ASP 기반 학교도서관 정보시스템을 구현하는데 필요한 하드웨어와 소프트웨어적인 요소 그리고 정보시스템에 포함되어야 할 정보서비스 및 교육적 기능을 제시하고자 한다.
