This paper presents an ASF (Aluminum Space Frame) BIW (Body in White) optimal design, which minimizes weight and satisfies multidisciplinary constraints such as static stiffness, vibration characteristics, low-/high-speed crash, and occupant safety. As only one cycle CPU time for all the analyses is 12 hours, the ASF design having 11-design variable is a large scaled problem. In this study, ISCD-II and conservative least square fitting method were used for efficient RSM modeling. Likewise, the ALM method was used to solve the approximate optimization problem. The approximate optimum was sequentially added to remodel the RSM. The proposed optimization method uses only 20 analyses to solve the 11-design variable problem. Moreover, the optimal design can achieve $15.6\%$ weight reduction while satisfying all the multidisciplinary design constraints.

We propose a systematic method to select the master states, which are retained in the reduced model after the order reduction process. The proposed method is based on the fact that the range space of right eigenvector matrix is spanned by orthogonal base vectors, and tries to keep the orthogonality of the submatrix of the base vector matrix as much as possible during the reduction process. To quentify the skewness of that submatrix, we define "Absolute Singularity Factor(ASF)" based on its singular values. While the degree of observability is concerned with estimation error of state vector and up to n'th order derivatives, ASF is related only to the minimum state estimation error. We can use ASF to evaluate the estimation performance of specific partial measurements compared with the best case in which all the state variables are identified based on the full measurements. A heuristic procedure to find suboptimal master states with reduced computational burden is also proposed. proposed.

This study aims at developing the high speed/intelligent machining system suing the plug/play method of an open architecture controller. The plug/play technology by the Application Specific Function (ASF), can readily implement the open architecture controller into various machining system or other automatic equipments. For the open architecture controller, this study developed the open HMI, screen editor, ASF, visual builder, and controller OS technology as software components. On the other hand, we developed the I/O module and main board as control hardware system. This study, as an example, presents integration of individual component technologies for the plug/play type open architecture CNC system.

The ASF(Automatic Sheets Feeders) part of the printer has many bosses supporting gear-trains. Steel-pin bosses are substituted for plastic mold bosses because of advantages such as cost reduction, convenience of manufacturing and accuracy in dimension, but they have a weak point such as fatigue fracture due to low material strength, which causes a serious problem in the reliability of product. To prevent the fatigue fracture of bosses, we should exactly estimate the life to failure of the various shapes of bosses. We take the linear FEM analysis and the statistical method in this paper to figure out the life to failure of bosses. The maximum stress and life to failure of bosses can be easily estimated by this method. This paper specifies how to figure out the life to failure of bosses.

NPR1 is a positive regulator of systemic acquired resistance in Arabidopsis and rice. Expression of the rice gene OsNPR1 is induced by salicylic acid (SA). To identify the region of the OsNPR1 promoter involved in response to SA, we carried out deletion mutagenesis of the region 1005 bp upstream of the OsNPR1 start codon. Ciselement analysis revealed that the OsNPR1 promoter contains W-boxes and ASF1 motifs, both of which are known to be functional cis-elements of the WRKY and bZIP proteins, respectively. The deletion constructs 1005:LUC and 752:LUC, were induced by up to 4.3- and 3.8-fold, respectively, following SA treatment, suggesting that W-boxes and ASF1 motifs may play an important role in the strong induction of these constructs by SA. Using mutation analysis, we also showed that both the W-box and ASF1 motif are necessary for SA-induced expression of OsNPR1.

디지털 정보의 생성과 배포의 용이성은 디지털화된 동영상의 제작을 증가시키고 있다. 그러나 디지털 콘텐츠는 복제가 쉽고 누구나 접근이 가능한 인터넷을 통해 전달될 수 있으므로 저작권 침해가 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 이러한 문제점은 특히 사용자의 PC에 저장되어 재생되는 동영상에 주로 발생하였으며, 종래에는 사용자의 PC에 저장된 동영상 파일의 보호를 위해 동영상 파일의 전체를 암호화한 후 적법한 사용자에게만 암호화된 동영상 파일을 복호화 할 수 있는 정보를 제공하는 방법을 사용하였다. 사용자의 PC에 저장되어 재생되는 동영상에 비하여 스트리밍 서비스를 통하여 재생되는 동영상은 사용자의 PC에 저장되지 않도록 함으로써 불법 복제등의 문제를 해결하였다. 하지만 근래 스트리밍을 통하여 서비스되는 동영상을 저장할 수 있는 프로그램이 속속 등장하면서 스트리밍을 통하여 서비스되는 동영상에 대한 보호 방안도 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 스트리밍 컨텐츠로 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 마이크로소프트의 멀티미디어 파일 포맷인 ASF를 기반으로한 스트리밍 시스템에 DRM을 적용하는 방안에 대하여 설명한다.

With fixed sinks, the network stability could be improved while the network life time could be decreased by the rapid energy dissipation around the fixed sink because of the concentrated network traffic from sensor nodes to the fixed sink in wireless sensor network. To address this problem, mobile sinks, which decentralize the network traffic, has received a lot of attention from many researchers recently. Since a mobile sink has a limited period to communicate with each sensor nodes, it is necessary for a scheduling algorithm to provide the fairness of data collection from each sensor nodes. In the paper, we propose the new scheduling algorithm, ASF(Availability based Scheduling scheme for Fair data collection), for the fair data collection by a mobile in the sensor networks. The ASF takes account of the distance between each sensor nodes and the mobile sink as scheduling metric, as well as the amount of collected data from each sensor nodes. Experiment results shows that the ASF improves the fairness of data collection among the sensor nodes, comparing to existing algorithm.
