Implementation of Control and Monitoring System Using Embedded web server (내장형 웹서버를 이용한 감시 및 제어 시스템 구현)

  • 본 논문은 기존의 PC기반의 웹 서버를 이용한 것이 아닌 리눅스 기반의 임베디드 웹 서버를 제작하여 원격지 하드웨어의 제어와 감시를 구현했다. 리눅스는 2.4.1 버전을 ARM7 보드에 포팅했으며 웹 서버는 GPL(General Public License)규약인 Boa web server를 사용했다. 원격지 감시와 제어를 위해 Cirrus Logic의 ARM7 칩인 EP7312의 GPIO(General Purpose Inpout Output) B포트에 입력장치와 출력장치를 연결시켜 실험하였다. 리눅스 운영체제 환경에서의 GPIO 장치 드라이버를 작성하고 이를 구동시키는 응용프로그램은 리눅스용 C언어를 CGI프로그램화시켜 클라이언트 PC의 웹 브라우저에서 제어와 감시가 가능하게 했다. 이는 기존의 PC기반의 웹 서버를 사용하는 것 보다 비용절감이라는 장점이 있고 또한 운영체제 없이 구현되는 웹 서버보다는 응용 범위의 다양성과 개발기간 단축이라는 장점을 가지고 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템 온칩 적용을 위한 통합 보안 프로세서를 SIP(Semiconductor Intellectual Property)로 설계하였다. 각각의 SIP는 VHDL RTL로 모델링하였으며, 논리합성, 시뮬레이션, FPGA 검증을 통해 재사용이 가능하도록 구현하였다. 또한 ARM9과 SIP들이 서로 통신이 가능하도록 AMBA AHB의 스펙에 따라 버스동작모델을 설계, 검증하였다. 플랫폼기반의 통합 보안 SIP는 ECC, AES, MD-5가 내부 코어를 이루고 있으며 각각의 SIP들은 ARM9과 100만 게이트 FPGA가 내장된 디바이스를 사용하여 검증하였으며 최종적으로 매그나칩 $0.25{\mu}m(4.7mm\times4.7mm)$ CMOS 공정을 사용하여 MPW(Multi-Project Wafer) 칩으로 제작하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose how to design a fire control system main control board for individual combat weapons using a small and low power processor. To design an electric board of small weapon systems, Size and power consumption are very important factors. We solved the problem using selection of an adaptive processor, introduction of MicroChipPackaging method, and separate design of a main board Also we applied these methods to make the fire control system for small arms.

  • This research paper is to develop remote data transmission terminal which is adequate to RFID R/W by using UHF/RF RFID R/W module (WJR7090) and Bluetooth communication(FB755AC) with ARM chipset(AT91SAM7S256). The developed UHF RFID R/W terminal performs tagging of RPID value and transmit the value to server with Bluetooth communication, the transmitted RFID tag value is compared to the Database value and the result is transmitted to the terminal. Performance test was done in order to prove the performance of the terminal, and the test result of the terminal's excellency and transmitted/recevied packet is described.

  • 유전자 알고리즘(Genetic Algorithm, GA)은 자연적 진화과정에서 생존 경쟁 측면의 가장 적합한 메커니즘이다. GA를 소프트웨어로 수행하는데 큰 지연시간은 필수적이기 때문에 하드웨어 설계를 이용하여 알고리즘 실행 속도를 증가시키기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 염색체의 임의의 유전인자를 기준으로 입력 받은 염색체에 대하여 GA 연산을 수행하는 유전 연산자를 설계한다. 설계된 디자인을 ARM 코어와 PLD로 구성된 Altera사의 Excalibur칩에 구현하여 동작을 검증하였다.

  • 스마트폰 및 태블릿 PC에 들어가는 핵심 부품인 AP(Application Processor)는 모두 GPU(Graphics Processing Unit)를 내장하고 있다. 이는 칩 면적의 제약과 사용 가능한 전력의 한계로 데스크톱의 그래픽 카드에 탑재된 고성능 GPU와는 다른 설계 제약을 받는다. 본고에서는 고성능 GPU와 다른 설계 조건을 갖는 mobile GPU 기술에 대해서 알아보았고 대표적인 commercial mobile GPU인 Imagination, ARM, Qualcomm, NVidia사의 mobile GPU의 특징 및 성능에 대해서 알아보았다.

  • In the future, robots and drones for the convenience of our lives in everyday life will increase. As a method for controlling this, a remote control or a human voice method is most commonly used. However, the remote control needs to be operated by a person and can not ignore ambient noise in the case of voice. In this paper, we propose an economical attitude information acquisition method to accurately acquire the posture information of the arm in real time under the assumption that the surround drones or robots can be controlled wirelessly with the posture information of the arm. For this purpose, the extended Kalman filter was used to eliminate the noise of the arm position information. in order to detect the arm movement, a low cost MEMS type sensor was applied to secure the economical efficiency of the apparatus. To increase the wear ability of the arm, We developed a compact and lightweight attitude information acquisition system by integrating all functions into one chip as much as possible. As a result, the real-time performance of 1 ms was secured and the extended Kalman filter was applied to acquire the accurate attitude information of the arm with noise removed and display the attitude information of the arm in real time. This provides a basis for generating commands using real-time attitude information of the arm.

  • The requirement of a system-on-a-chip (SoC) design is increasing, which combines various and complex functional units on a single device. However, short time to market prohibits to release the device. To satisfy this shorter time-to-market, verification of both hardware and software at the same time is important. A virtual platform-based design method supports faster verification of these combined software and hardware by reusing pre-defined intellectual properties (IP). In this paper, we introduce the virtual platform-based design and redesign the existing ARM processor based S3C2440A system using the virtual platform-based method. In addtion, we implement and evaluate the performance of a JPEG decoder on the S3C2440A virtual platform. Furthermore, we introduce an optimized technique of the JPEG decoder using the ARM based inline assembly language, and then verify the performance improvement on the virtual platform. Such virtual platform-based design allows to verify both software and hardware at the same time and can meet the requirement of the shorter time-to-market.

  • In this paper, we design the FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) of the CAMB (Constant-Amplitude Multi-code Biorthogonal) modulation, and implement the SoC (System on Chip). The ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) chip is be implemented through targeting and board test. This 12Mbps modem SoC includes the ARM (Advanced RISC Machine)7TDMI, 64Kbyte SRAM(Static Random Access Memory) and ADC (Analog to Digital Converter)/DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) for flexible applications. Additionally, the modem SoC can support the variable communication interfaces such as the 16-bits PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association), USB (Universal Serial Bus) 1.1, and 16C550 Compatible UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter).
