록볼트 긴장에 의한 수평절리암반의 보강효과 (Reinforcing Effect of Pre-Tensioned Rock Bolts in the Jointed Rocks Condition)

  • 록볼트는 지하공동 굴착시 암반의 과도한 이완을 초기에 방지할 수 있는 가장 중요한 터널 지보재 중 하나이다. 국내외에서 록볼트의 설치에 따른 침하저감 및 보강효과, 다양한 록볼트 형태에 따른 터널 안정성 증대효과 등 록볼트 지보효과에 대한 많은 연구는 있으나, 록볼트에 긴장력을 가함으로써 절리암반의 지반보강 효과에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 수평절리암반을 모사한 모형지반에서 록볼트의 긴장력 및 설치간격을 변수로 하여 대형모형실험을 실시하여, 록볼트에 의한 지반 보강효과를 확인하였다. 록볼트의 긴장력에 의한 절리암반 보강효과를 확인하기 위하여 단순보를 조성하여 긴장력과 설치간격을 변수로 하였다. 굴착에 따른 모형지반 중앙하부 처짐량을 측정하여 록볼트로 보강된 보강영역의 지반변형계수를 도출하였다.

Algorithm for Measurement of the Dairy Cow's Body Parameters by Using Image Processing

  • Purpose: Recent mechatronics technology is the most appropriate high technology in agricultural applications to save repetitious labor. Method: Cow's body parameters were measured by several traditional measurers. Image processing technology was used to measure automatically their parameters to reduce labor and time. The parameters were measured form a small model cow which is easily measured, instead to a real cow. The image processing system designed and built for this project was composed of a PC, grabber card, and two cameras, which are located on the side and the top of the model cow. Tests of verification had measured 10 dairy cows. Result: Nine parameters of the model cow's body were measured, and the difference between the real data and the data by image processing was less than 16.7%. Based on the results of the research, the parameters of a real cow had measured of chest depth, withers height, Pelvic arch height, body length, slope body length, chest width, hip width, thurl width, and pin bone width were compared with image processing data. Conclusions: In the Demonstration test, Result had obtained similar data of cow model experiments, and the most of errors were shown less than 5% relatively good result.

DCC 모형에서 동태적 상관계수 추정법의 효율성 비교 (Performance Comparison of Estimation Methods for Dynamic Conditional Correlation)

  • 본 논문에서는 다변량 DCC(dynamic conditional correlation) GARCH 모형에서 동태적 상관계수를 추정하기 위한 대표적 방법인 쌍별 추정법과 다차원 추정법의 효율성을 비교한다. 이를 위하여 금융 시장의 변동성을 반영하는 다변량 시계열을 생성하고 이에 대한 DCC GARCH 모형을 수립 및 추정하는 시뮬레이션을 실시하였다. 또한 KOSPI 200 섹터지수를 이용하여 포트폴리오를 구성하고 이의 변동성 추정 및 VaR 계산을 통하여 동태적 상관계수 추정에 대한 정확성을 평가하였다. 그 결과로서, 전반적으로 다차원 추정법이 쌍별 추정법보다 우수함을 발견하였다. 특히, 다차원 추정법에서 상대적으로 상관관계가 낮은 시계열을 추가할수록 쌍별 시계열에 대한 동태적 상관계수 추정의 정확성을 높여줌을 발견하였다.

Nonlinear boundary parameter identification of bridges based on temperature-induced strains

  • Temperature-induced responses, such as strains and displacements, are related to the boundary conditions. Therefore, it is required to determine the boundary conditions to establish a reliable bridge model for temperature-induced responses analysis. Particularly, bridge bearings usually present nonlinear behavior with an increase in load, and the nonlinear boundary conditions cause significant effect on temperature-induced responses. In this paper, the bridge nonlinear boundary conditions were simulated as bilinear translational or rotational springs, and the boundary parameters of the bilinear springs were identified based on the measured temperature-induced responses. First of all, the temperature-induced responses of a simply support beam with nonlinear translational and rotational springs subjected to various temperature loads were analyzed. The simulated temperature-induced strains and displacements were assumed as measured data. To identify the nonlinear translational and rotational boundary parameters of the bridge, the objective function based on the temperature-induced responses is then created, and the nonlinear boundary parameters were further identified by using the nonlinear least squares optimization algorithm. Then, a beam structure with nonlinear translational and rotational springs was simulated as a numerical example, and the nonlinear boundary parameters were identified based on the proposed method. The numerical results show that the proposed method can effectively identify the parameters of the nonlinear boundary conditions. Finally, the boundary parameters of a real arch bridge were identified based on the measured strain data and the proposed method. Since the bearings of the real bridge do not perform nonlinear behavior, only the linear boundary parameters of the bridge model were identified. Based on the bridge model and the identified boundary conditions, the temperature-induced strains were recalculated to compare with the measured strain data. The recalculated temperature-induced strains are in a good agreement with the real measured data.

신선 물오징어의 도·소매시장 간 가격 변동성의 전이 및 비대칭성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Asymmetry Effect and Price Volatility Spillover between Wholesale and Retail Markets of Fresh squid)

  • Squid is a popular seafood in Korea. However, since the 2000s, the squid production has been declining. The unstable supply of the squid products may cause price fluctuations of fresh and chilled squid. These price fluctuations may be relatively more severe than them of other commodities, because the fresh and chilled squid can not be stored for a long period of time. Thus, this study analyzes the structural characteristics of price volatility and price asymmetry of fresh squid based on off-diagonal GARCH model. Data used to analysis of this study are daily wholesale and retail prices of fresh squid from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2016 provided in the KAMIS. As theoretical approaches of this study, first of all, the stability of the time series is confirmed by the unit root test. Secondly, the causality between distribution channels is checked by the Granger causality test. Thirdly, the VAR model and the off-diagonal GARCH model are adopted to estimate asymmetry effect and price volatility spillover between distribution channels. Finally, the stability of the model is confirmed by multivariate Q-statistic and ARCH-LM test. In conclusion, fresh squid is found to have shock and volatility spillover between wholesale and retail prices as well as its own price. Also, volatility asymmetry effect is shown in own wholesale or retail price of fresh squid. Finally, this study shows that the decrease in the fresh squid retail price of t-1 period than the increase in the t-1 period has a greater impact on the volatility of the fresh squid wholesale price in t period.

Comparison of accuracy between free-hand and surgical guide implant placement among experienced and non-experienced dental implant practitioners: an in vitro study

  • Purpose: This study investigated the accuracy of free-hand implant surgery performed by an experienced operator compared to static guided implant surgery performed by an inexperienced operator on an anterior maxillary dental model arch. Methods: A maxillary dental model with missing teeth (No. 11, 22, and 23) was used for this in vitro study. An intraoral scan was performed on the model, with the resulting digital impression exported as a stereolithography file. Next, a cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan was performed, with the resulting image exported as a Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine file. Both files were imported into the RealGUIDE 5.0 dental implant planning software. Active Bio implants were selected to place into the model. A single stereolithographic 3-dimensional surgical guide was printed for all cases. Ten clinicians, divided into 2 groups, placed a total of 60 implants in 20 acrylic resin maxillary models. Due to the small sample size, the Mann-Whitney test was used to analyze mean values in the 2 groups. Statistical analyses were performed using SAS version 9.4. Results: The accuracy of implant placement using a surgical guide was significantly higher than that of free-hand implantation. The mean difference between the planned and actual implant positions at the apex was 0.68 mm for the experienced group using the free-hand technique and 0.14 mm for the non-experienced group using the surgical guide technique (P=0.019). At the top of the implant, the mean difference was 1.04 mm for the experienced group using the free-hand technique and 0.52 mm for the non-experienced group using the surgical guide technique (P=0.044). Conclusions: The data from this study will provide valuable insights for future studies, since in vitro studies should be conducted extensively in advance of retrospective or prospective studies to avoid burdening patients unnecessarily.

TMA wire로 제작된 3종류의 MVLAW(Multi-Vertical Loop Arch Wire)의 초기응력분포에 관한 광탄성학적 연구 (A PHOTOELASTIC STUDY ON THE INITIAL STRESS DISTRIBUTION OF 3 TYPES TMA MULTI-VERTICAL LOOP ARCH WIRE)

  • 교정치료시 치축의 개선을 위한 많은 연구와 노력이 이루어져 왔다. 본 교실에서는 치축개선을 위해 MEAW를 응용한 Multi-Vertical Loop Arch Wire(MVLAW : 엠빌로)를 수년 전부터 다수치아의 치축을 동시에 개선코자 사용해 왔다. MVLAW는 일종의 근심경사된 치아를 세우는 장치로써 open vertical loop를 3가지 종류로 변형시켜 적용시켜 왔으며 이를 각각 A, B, C형으로 명명하였다. 각 MVLAW는 .017"x.025" TMAwire로 제작되며, A형 MVLAW의 경우 각 open vertical loop의 apex를 10도 정도 벌려주어 활성화시키며(electric welding stop을 각 loop의 근심측에 위치시킨다), B형과 C형 MVLAW의 경우 open vertical loop의 원심측에 10도의 tip back bend를 형성함으로써 활성화시킨다(B형의 경우 electric welding stop이 각 loop의 원심측에 형성되는 반면 C형의 경우 electric welding stop을 형성하지 않는다). 본 연구는 구치부의 치축을 동시에 개선코자할 때 MVLAW를 3가지 종류로 분류한 후 각 MVLAW의 효과를 알아보고자 상하악 1/2악을 광탄성 모형에 재현하여 그 응력분포를 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었기에 보고하는 바이다. 1. A형 MVLAW의 경우 3급 견인고무를 걸지 않았을 경우 하악 제1대구치와 제2대구치 치근의 원심면에서 강한 응력분포를 나타내나 전치부에 발생한 미약한 응력분포는 3급 견인고무의 장착으로 상쇄되었다. 따라서 A형 MVLAW는 초기에 치관의 직립효과가 있는 것으로 보인다. 2. B형 MVLAW의 경우 3급 견인고무를 걸지 않았을 경우 각 치아의 근심측에 응력분포를 보이며 견인고무를 걸었을 때와 비교시 전치부에 증가된 응력분포를 보였다. 따라서 B형의 경우 초기에 치근의 직립효과가 있는 것으로 보인다. 3. C형 MVLAW의 경우 3급 견인고무를 걸지 않았을 경우 하악전치부를 제외하고는 응력분포를 나타내지 않았으나 견인고무를 걸었을 경우 주로 견치와 소구치 근심면에서 응력분포를 보였다. 따라서 C형의 경우 견인고무 사용시 초기에 견치와 소구치에서 치근의 직립효과가 있는 것으로 보인다.

Multiloop Edgewise Arch Wire의 tip back 정도에 따른 응력 분포에 관한 유한요소법적 연구 (Stress analysis of Multiloop Edgewise Arch Wire with various degree of tip back bend : a study using the finite element method)

  • 임상에서 다양하게 사용되는 Multiloop Edgewise Arch Wire(MEAW)는 구치부 치아의 치축 직립을 위해 II급 고무줄이나 수직고무줄과 함께 사용된다. 이때 tip back bend의 정도는 각 환자의 구치치축의 근심경사의 정도에 따라 가감이 결정되나 이 장치가 실제 치근막에서 어떤 효과를 나타내는지 정확히 알려진 바는 없다. 이에 저자는 MEAW의 역학적 효과를 알아보기 위해 tip back bend의 정도를 변화시킨 후 II급 고무줄, 수직고무줄을 적용시켜 유한요소법을 통해 치근막에서 발생되는 응력의 분포와 크기를 정량적으로 비교, 관찰하여 장치의 역계를 이해하고 치료효과를 예측해 보고자 실험을 고안하였다. 발치나 교정치료의 경험이 없는 25세 남자 정상교합자를 대상으로 컴퓨터 단층촬영을 시행하여 얻은 방사선필림을 기초로 하여 유한요소 상악치아모델과, 치근막모델을 제작하였으며 여기에 beam element로 제작된 MEAW의 tip back bend를 5도, 10도, 15도로 달리하여 II급 고무줄 및 수직고무줄을 적용시켜 각 치근막에서의 압축, 인장력의 분포와 응력의 크기를 상호 비교한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. MEAW에 tip back bend를 5도, 10도, 15도로 부여하고 II급 고무줄이나 수직고무줄을 적용시켰을때 전체 치근막에 나타나는 압축, 인장의 분포는 II급 고무줄, 수직고무줄 각각의 경우에서 tip back bend의 정도에 상관없이 유사한 양상을 나타냈다. 2. 각 치아의 치근막에 나타난 압축, 인장력의 크기는 5도,10도의 경우보다 15도 tip back bend 부여시 더 크게 나타났다. 3. 제1, 2대구치 원심측 치근막에서는 압축력이 나타났으며 특히 제2대구치 치근막의 압축부위가 제1대구치 치근막 압축부위보다 더 넓고 압축력의 크기도 더 크게 나타났다. 또한 tip back bend 정도가 클수록 압축력도 크고 압축부위도 더 넓게 나타났다. 4. 대구치 치근막의 압축력은 소구치 치근막의 압축력보다 상대적으로 더 작게 나타났다. 5. II급고무줄과 수직고무줄 적용 시를 비교해 보면 수직고무줄 장착시 전치부 치근막에 인장력이 더 넓게, 그 크기는 더 작게 나타났다. 반면에 구치부 치근막에 나타나는 응력의 분포와 크기는 별 차이를 보이지 않았다. 5. 전치부 치근막 인장부위에서 인장력은 견치에서 제일 컸다.

침적 소독이 고무 인상재의 크기 안정성에 미치는 영향 (THE EFFECT OF IMMERSION DISINFECTION ON THE DIMENSIONAL STABILITY OF RUBBER IMPRESSION MATERIALS)

  • The purpose of this study was to evalute the effect of immersion disinfection on the dimensional stability of rubber impression materials. The metallic master model was made in order to simulate the intraoral arch form. Impressions were made from four impression materials (Exaflex, Extrude, Reprosil, Impregum-F) and immersed in three disinfectant solutions (Wydex, Vi-Pon, Potadine). Casts from the impressions were measured according to the interpreparation distance. The A-B and The B-D abutment distance were compared with the control group and disinfected groups. The results were as follows; 1. The measurements of the stone cast increased relative to the master model and there was a significant difference (P<0.05). 2. The relative dimensional change of the stone cast as compared with master model ranged from 0.10% to 0.56% in the A-B distance and ranged from 0.04% to 0.27% in the B-D distance. 3. The dimensional change of the disinfected groups as compared with the control group was significantly different in the three impression materials except for Impregum-F (P<0.05). 4. The relative dimensional change of the disinfected groups compared with the control group ranged from 0% to 0.20% in the A-B distance and ranged from -0.09% to 0.11% in the B-D distance. These results suggest that immersion disinfection of rubber impression materials by chemical disinfectants causes very small dimensional change and the change is clinically acceptable for prothesis fabrication

악교정수술 환자에서 교합기 석고 모형과 측면두부방사선사진의 교합평면에 관한 비교 연구 (THE COMPARATIVE STUDY FOR OCCLUSAL PLANE BETWEEN ARTICULATED CAST MODEL AND CEPHALOGRAM IN ORTHOGANTIHIC SURGERY PATIENTS)

  • The common errors in preoperative treatment plan for the orthognathic surgery can be occurred during cast impression, cast mounting procedure with face-bow transfer, surgical stent fabrication, and so on. One of the most common errors exists during mounting process of the model on the articulator. Accurate mounting of dental casts to articulator should be achieved by transferring the 3-dimensional spatial relationship of the maxillary arch to an articulator. A face-bow is used for transfer this relationship to articulator, usually by relating the face-bow to a plane of reference of maxillary cast. The purpose of this study is evaluation of the accuracy of face-bow transferring of maxillary model to the articulator. The maxillary casts of thirty patients for orthognathic surgery were mounted on articulator with an face-bow instrument. The relationship of occlusal plane angle to Frankfort horizontal plane relations were compared the cephalogram with the cast-mounted articulator. As a result of this study, the significant difference between the maxillary occlusal planes angle in the cephalogram and articulator were found. The results were followed, 1. The mean occlusal plane angle in cast-mounted articulator was $13.5^{\circ}\;(SD{\pm}5.4)$. 2. The mean occlusal plane angle in cephalogram was $10.4^{\circ}\;(SD{\pm}4.3)$. 3. The mean difference of occlusal plane angle between cast-mounted articulator and cephalogram was $3.3^{\circ}\;(SD{\pm}4.6)$. According to the result, we should suggest that the occlusal plane angle to Frankfort plane in cast-mounted articulator is more steeper than that of cephalogram. And then, maxillofacial surgeon should try to get a more predictable result by suggesting the proper correction method and mounting the cast accurately.
