광대역 CARS를 이용한 불꽃 내부의 CO 농도 측정 (Measuring CO Concentration in a Flame with Broadband CARS)

  • 다중모드 레이저의 모드에 의해 광대역 CARS 분광에 생기는 모드 잡음을 줄이기 위하여 색소레이저의 증폭자발방출을 스톡스광으로 사용하여 CARS 분광을 측정하였다. 측정된 광대역 CARS 분광에 생기는 분광의 변조 폭에서 미량기체의 농도를 계산하는 새로운 방법을 제안하였으며, 변조 폭을 미랭기체의 농도와 기체 온도 변화에 대하여 수치적으로 계산하고 이를 분석하여, 계산된 변조 폭을 농도와 온도에 대한 함스로 기술하였다. 이러한 방법을 Ar과 미량의 CO 혼합기체를 셀에 넣고 CO 농도를 측정하여 검정하였으며, 실제로 응용하여 대향류 버너의 불꽃 속의 CO 농도 분포측정에 응용하였다.

  • A time-correlated single photon counting system combined with a mode locked $Ar^+$ laser has been utilized to measure the fluorescence decay. A side-on type photomultiplier tube has been used as a photon detector. By restricting the sensitive area and the position of the photocathode, the transit time differencies of photoelectrons in PMT has been reduced. The fluorescence life time of rhodamin 6G in ethylene glycol measured 3.9$\pm$10 ns.

  • Deafs train articulation by observing mouth of a tutor. sensing tactually the notions of the vocal organs, or using speech training aids. Present speech training aids for deafs can measure only single speech ter, or display only frequency spectra in histogrm or pseudo-color. In this study, a speech training aids that can display subject's articulation in the form of a cross section of the vocal organs and other speech parameters together in a single system Is aimed to develop and this system makes a subject to know where to correct. For our objective, first, speech production mechanism is assumed to be AR model in order to estimate articulatory notions of the vocal tract from speech signal. Next, a vocal tract profile mode using LPC analysis is made up. And using this model, articulatory notions for Korean vowels are estimated and displayed in the vocal tract profile graphics.

A Bright H${\alpha}$ kernel Observed Using the FISS

  • H${\alpha}$ transient bright kernels may be an important diagnostic of energy conversion processes occurring in the choromosphere during flares. We observed an H${\alpha}$ kernel that occurred in AR 11263 in associated with a small flare on 2011 Autust 5th using the Fast Imaging Solar Spectrograph installed at the 1.6m New Solar Telescope of Big Bear Solar Observatory. We find that both the H${\alpha}$ line and the CaII 8542${\AA}$ line appear in emission, with a red asymmetry in that they display red wings of enhanced emission. The red asymmetry shows 5-30 km/s downward motion for 8 minutes. We determine some physical parameters by adopting the Cloud mode and discuss the physical meaning of these results.

  • Using a low-energy Ar+ ion-beam with and without reactive gases, polymers such as chemically stable poly(ether ether ketone) (PTFE) and poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) films were modified to have special surface features. The adhesion strength between the polymers and the copper was significantly improved because of both changes in the surface topography and chemical interactions due to polymer surface functionalization (oxidation and amination). The surface modification altered the failure mode from adhesive failure for the unmodified polymer/Cu interface to cohesive failure for the surface-modified polymer/Cu layer interface..

  • In this study, the behavior of R/C beam strengthened with carbon fiber laminate(C.F.L) is analyzed from the test results. Test parameters ar the width and the thickness of C.F.L. The failure mode and ultimate load are analyzed from these measured data. Test results shows that the peak load of specimens strengthened with C.F.L. is increased to 1.27~2.04 times of that of non-rehabilitation specimen. The wider lap width, large amount of rehabilitation materials, the larger strength is obtained.

  • Sputtering yield of MgO film in the AC-PDPs has been calculated by Monte Carlo simulation of ion scattering. In the ion energy range less than 50 eV, the sputtering yield is 4 ${\times}$ $10^{-4}$ for Xe ions and it is between 0.1 and 0.01 for He, Ne, and Ar ions. The erosion rate is estimated about $25{\AA}$ per hour for Xe ions in an actual PDP plasma for sustain and full white mode.

  • In this paper, we propose the enhanced priority control algorithm that adaptively controls the cell service ratio according to the relative cell occupancy ratio of buffer. The asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) provides the means to support various multimedia services in broadband networks. To support multimedia services, various data traffics of different priorities should be controlled effectively. And also it needs congestion control functions required in the netowrk to carry out the control operation. To accomplish this in a flexible and effective manner, priority classes for the different services ar ecommonly used. The proposed enhanced priority control mechanism have two service calsses of the delay sensitive class and the loss sensitive class. The simulation results show that te proposed control mechanism improves the QoS, the charateristics of cell loss probability and mean cell delay time, by selecting propeor relativ ecell occupancy ratio of buffer and the average arrival rate.

  • 상용 ATM 기술은 전송로 상태가 극히 양호한 광섬유의 사용을 전제로 한 전송 방식이기 때문에 군 통신과 같이 전송로의 특성이 나쁜 무선 환경에 적응하기에는 문제가 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 먼저 상용 ATM 프로토콜을 높은 BER 환경에 적용할 때 나타나는 ATM 셀 전달 특성을 정량적으로 파악하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 무선 환경에 상용 HEC 알고리즘과 에러 제어 방식을 적용할 수 잇는지 여부를 분석하였다. 그리고, 이러한 결과를 토대로 상용 ATM 프로토콜을 무선 환경에 적용하기 위해 필요한 개선 방향을 제시하였다.

  • In metal forming, there ar problems with recurrent geometric characteristics and without explicitly prescribed boundary conditions. In such problems, so-called recurrent boundary conditions must be introduced. The present study deals with nonsteady-state three-dimensional finite element analysis for extrusion of a trocoidal helical gear through a curved die. The boundary-directed remeshing scheme based on the modular remeshing technique is developed to reduce the errors arising in fitting old and new mesh systems. The computed extrusion pressure in reaching the near steady-state loading stage is compared with the results of the experiment and the steady-state analysis. The three-dimensional deformed pattern involving warping at the extruded end due to torsional deformation mode is demonstrated.
