  • This study analyzes the travel behavior for short-term demand forecasting model of KTX. This research suggests the following. First, the outlier criteria is considered to appropriate twice the standard deviation of the traffic. Second, the result of a homogeneity test using ANOVA analysis has been divided into weekdays(Mon Thu and weekends(Fri Sun). Third, a cluster analysis for O/D pairs using trip frequency, traffic averages and th distance between stations was performed.

  • The method of cancer classification based on microarray could contribute to being accurate cancer classification by finding differently expressing gene pattern statistically according to a cancer type. Therefore, the process to select a closely related informative gene with a particular cancer classification to classify cancer using present microarray technology with effect is essential. In this paper, the system can detect marker genes to likely express the most differentially explaining the effects of cancer using ovarian cancer microarray data. And it compare and analyze a performance of classification of the proposed system with it of established microarray system using multi-perceptron neural network layer. Microarray data set including marker gene that are selected using ANOVA method represent the highest classification accuracy of 98.61%, which show that it improve classification performance than established microarray system.

  • The goal of this study is to determine the influence of major factors on the spiral surface microparticle injection machining of cylindrical specimens by the statistical method ANOVA. Before the experiment, rod-shaped test specimens and jigs for helical surface spraying were prepared, and the surface roughness was measured with a surface roughness meter. The injection particle, nozzle diameter, and injection pressure were the primary parameters of the experiment. Other factors that were considered were injection height, injection time, revolutions, and feed distance. The surface roughness after machining was measured, and the effects of the surface roughness data on the primary factors were determined with ANOVA.

  • This study was performed to validate reference materials (RMs) for proficiency testing (PT) in waste inter-laboratories. Dioxin RMs were prepared from fly ash in industrial incinerators. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) of analytical results were 2.6~15.7% for the dioxin RMs in 10 replicates (between and withinbottles). Data were collected and statistical analysis was performed by the One-way ANOVA test. The combined uncertainties of target isomers in dioxin analysis were 0.114~7.091.

  • This research aimed to analyze the differences in financial variables classifying chain restaurants. A total of 126 samples were drawn from financial statements for $2001{\sim}2006$. As a result of analysis, there was a significant difference in Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, and Roy's Largest Root values at the significant probability value(p<0.05) based on F value in terms of stability among chain restaurants. Difference was found only in current rate and liabilities in ANOVA. There was a great difference in current rate among institutional restaurants, fast food restaurants, and cafeterias. There was a significant difference in Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, and Roy's Largest Root values at the significant probability value(p<0.05) based on F value in terms of restaurants' profitability. In ANOVA, difference was found only in net profits to net sales. It was revealed that all factors showed no significant differences in multiple comparison. All multi-variant test statistics showed a significant difference in growth and turnover. ANOVA showed a significant difference in net sales growth rate, net profit growth rate, and total assets growth rate.

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the influences of service experience and brand reputation on intention by word of mouth(WOM) when consumers get experiences at beauty salon. We made 2(valence of service experience: positive/negative) ${\times}$ 2(brand reputation level: high/low) subjects experimental design in order to find reason that there is a significant difference of intention by word of the mouth between positive experience condition and negative experience condition. Also we tried to find the interaction of two factors. To test our hypothesis, an experiment was performed on 68 university students in seoul area. Specifically, we used 2-way ANOVA and planned contrast method through SPSS 12.0 procedure. As a result, a two-way ANOVA demonstrated a significant main effect of service experience, which means that people more intend to make WOM when they experience a negative service than a positive service. Also the ANOVA showed a significant interaction effect between service experience and brand reputation, which represents that people more intend to make WOM for high-reputed(low-reputed) brand than low-reputed(high-reputed) brand when they encounter negative(positive) services.

  • This study was conducted to identify the factors that influence nursing students' adjustment to college life. Self-report questionnaire surveys were conducted toward 333 South Korean nursing students to measure emotional intelligence, perfectionistic self-presentation, and clinical stress. Data were collected from October 20th to December 8th, 2014. The collected data were analyzed by using t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicated that emotional intelligence, religion, perfectionistic self-presentation significantly influenced on the adjustment to college life and the explanatory power of the model was 27.2%. Based on the study results, we suggest that it is necessary to develop and apply the educational strategy to improve the emotional intelligence for the adjustment to college life.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of college life adaptation program on nursing students' college life adaptation and nursing professional attitude. College life adaptation program of a freshman at college which consists of two area : theory-practice and liberal-cultivation of character and college freshman for 70 hours, 5 a week in 10 session for 2 weeks. The collected data were analyzed using paired t-test, ANOVA. As a result of the study, the score for college life adaptation(t=11.42, p=<.000) and nursing professional attitude(t=12.45, p=<.000) increased significantly after college life adaptation program. The conclusion, this study showed that college life adaptation program was effective in improving nursing students' college life adaptation and nursing professional attitude.

  • This study investigated differences in the level of delinquent behaviors depending on family structures among adolescents. The subjects were 552 middle and high school students living in Seoul and Incheon, of whom 247 were being raised by single-parents and 305 by non-divorced parents. All respondents answered by self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed by t-test, Scheffe test, ANOVA and two-way ANOVA. The major findings were as follows. First, the level of adolescents' delinquent behaviors differed by sex and age. High school students tended to be more engaged in violence and status delinquent behaviors than middle school students. Male students were more likely to engage in social, sex and properly delinquent behaviors than female students. Second, there were differences in the level of delinquent behaviors depending on family structures among the adolescents. Mostly, adolescents with non-divorced parents were less delinquent than those with a single parent. Third, among the adolescents from a divorced family, then whose parents had been divorced for 1-2 years had the highest score in sex and property delinquent behaviors.
