Characteristics Analysis of the Fluid Power System for a Double-color Injection Molding Machine Development (이색 사출성형기 개발을 위한 유압시스템의 특성 검토)

  • Double-color Injection molding machine is the assembly of many kinds of mechanical, fluid power part and electric electronic control system. From in these, fluid power is a part where becomes the first core of this machine. Fluid power systems of double-color injection molding machine are modelled and analyzed using a commercial program AMESim. Partial system models which is divided according to functional operation are made and its analysis results shows how design parameters work on operational characteristics like pressure, flow rates, displacement at each node and so on. Analysis modeling and compared the data which gets from experiment and the analysis result which has a reliability got data. The results made by analysis will be used design of fluid power circuit for developing a double-color injection molding machine.

  • A Common-Rail Direct Injection(CRDI) system for high speed diesel engines was developed to meet reductions of noise and vibration, and emission regulations. In this study, CRDI system analysis model which includes fuel and mechanical sub-systems was developed using commercial software, AMESim in order to predict characteristics for various fuel injection components. Each component which constructs system was modeled and verified by sub-model of AMESim obtained characteristics curves of each components. The parameter sensitivity analysis such as throttle size, injection rate, plunger displacement, supply pressure of fuel injection for system design were carried out by the analysis.

  • Hydraulic systems of injection molding machine are modelled and simulated with AMESim which is a commercial program. Detail models of hydraulic components are simulated and simulation results are evaluated with maker's test results in catalog. Sub system models which is divided according to functional operation are made and its analysis results shows how design parameters work on operational characteristics like cylinder speed, cylinder displacement, pressure, flow rates at each node and so on. Total circuit model is also made and analyzed. The prediction made by simulation will be used design of hydraulic systems of injection molding machine.

  • Electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS) system is the power-assisted steering which operates the hydraulic pump by BLDC motors for assisting the steering force. EHPS consists of BLDC motor, gear pump, oil-hydraulic circuit and steering system. Since EHPS is a convergence system consisting of electricity and electronic, hydraulic and mechanical system, it is difficult to establish the simulation model. In this paper, the mathematical model of EHPS system components were presented, and the simulations of the multi-domain system were performed by using AMESim. The trial and error of development would be reduced by using this simulation results, and it would be helpful for developing high-quality EHPS.

  • The goal of this study was to develop control algorithms to improve the steering performance of a 120-ton all-terrain crane. To accomplish this, a hydraulic steering system for the crane was modeled using AMESim software, and a PID steering control algorithm was designed in the MATLAB/Simulink environment. The performance of the designed controller was verified through multiphysics co-simulations based on a real-time simulator.

  • The hydraulic system have been used much in a heavy machine which high power source is desired. In the case of the heavy press machine and the injection molding machine, the use of the hydraulic power is essential especially for increasing productivity and getting the good products. Because the hydraulic circuit is very complex and the system parameters are uncertain, the development of the simulation model for hydraulic system is not easy in the heavy machine. In this case, Many researchers have used a commercial program for analysis and development in a major field of study. In this paper, the aim is to develop the simulation model of the hydraulic system with various commercial program for trajectory tracking. And adaptive control method is applied to the simulation model for the trajectory tracking of a cylinder motion. Load on the cylinder is modeled in ADAMS program, the hydraulic circuit including pump, spool valve and cylinder is modeled in AMESim program and a controller is designed in MatLab/simulink program. The suggested model is applied for the tracking of a cylinder motion, and through computer simulation, its trajectory tracking performance is illustrated.

  • In proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), proper thermal management of the stack and moisture generation by electrochemical reactions significantly affect fuel cell performance. In this study, the PEMFC dynamic characteristic model was developed through Simcenter AMESim, a development program. In addition, the developed model aims to understand the thermal resin balance of the stack and performance characteristics for input loads. The developed model applies the thermal management model of the stack and the moisture content and permeability model to simulate voltage loss and stack thermal behavior precisely. This study extended the C based AMESet (adaptive modeling environment submodeling tool) to simulate electrochemical reactions inside the stack. Fuel cell model of AMESet was liberalized with AMESim and then integrated with the balance of plant (BOP) model and analyzed. And It is intended to be used in component design through BOP analysis. The resistance loss of the stack and thermal behavior characteristics were predicted, and the impact of stack performance and efficiency was evaluated.

  • 중소형 냉동공조 시스템에 널리 사용되는 스크롤 압축기를 사용 목적에 맞게 최적 설계하기 위하여 필요한 해석 모델을 1-D 상용 프로그램인 AMESim을 이용하여 개발하였다. 타 기관에서 수행한 분석 결과와 비교하여 본 연구에서 개발된 모델의 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 본 연구 결과는 스크롤 압축기 개발 공정에서 고객의 요구를 신속하게 반영하여 압축기를 최적 설계할 수 있는 해석툴을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

  • The design of the main control valve, which is the main component of the flap control system, was based on actual manufacturing experience on the basis of trial and error method. In this paper, a model-based part design method is proosed. The flap control system consists of a main control valve, fail-safe valve, solenoid valve, LVDT and force motor. The main control valve consists mainly of a spool and slot. The important design parameters of the main control valve are the slot width, overlap and clearance. AMESim is linked to the model and it analyzes the flow path of the main control valve. Applying the proposed design procedure, it was confirmed that the required performance was satisfied within the allowable machining error range.
