A clinical case of hybrid telescopic double crown using friction pin with an isolated few remaining teeth (고립된 소수 잔존치 환자에서 프릭션핀을 이용한 하이브리드 텔레스코픽 이중관 국소의치의 임상증례)

  • A few authors have reported good clinical results using double crown removable partial denture (RPD) with a few remaining teeth. Hybrid telescopic double crown is a good indication for a patient with poor periodontal condition and/or few remaining teeth after extraction, especially located in cross-arch position. In this case, there was a poor periodontal condition with teeth mobility. Several teeth with poor prognosis were extracted. Remaining anterior teeth was restored with fixed prostheses and edentulism was restored with Kennedy class I removable partial denture in maxilla. In mandible, it was hard to restore with clasp removable partial prostheses because of bilaterally isolated remaining teeth so that hybrid double crown removable partial denture with friction pin was suitable for this case. The objective of this report is to discuss the characteristics and the utility of hybrid double crown prostheses using a few remaining teeth in mandible.

  • Tasty constituents such as free amino acids. free organic acids and free sugars and minerals in clavariaceae botrytis were surveyed through the course of this study. The results were as, follows: 1. Isoleucine valine threonine alanine methionine cysteine glutamine histidine glutamic acid and aspartic acid were presented in clavariaceae botrytis, and aspartic acid showed the highest amount. 2. Succinic acid was the major organic acid in clavariaceae botrytis, and also citric acid malic acid and fumaric acid were presented. 3. Clavariaceae botrytis contained fructose, maltose glucose and sucrose ; glucose and sucrose were more than 80% of total sugars. 4. Na K Mg Ca Zn Mn Cu am Fe by atomic absorption spectrometer were detected and assayed. and Al Si Ni Sn Ti Cr Ag Pb B and Sr detected by emission spectrograph. K of these minerals showed the highest amount but very small amount of Ca was presented.

  • Natural lighting is directly connected with our mental and physical health. For working or learning effect, the proper natural lighting is required for improving our living conditions. School facilities, especially, are the place where includes students' ordinary activities with learning behaviors during the school years from elementary to high school. This study was carried out for the purpose introducing a basic database in that planning a school by researching on the actual in the natural lighting system of some schools' classroom, estimating, and analyzing through a simulation, which resulted in a method of improving the natural lighting system. As a result of measuring and analyzing Daylight Factor(DF) during the time from 9 am to 3 pm when students are activating in their classroom, generally DF range of the sides near to window and aisle seats zone are not distributed well. Besides, two out of four school which are researched would not reach the standards of the law for school sanitary while rest of the schools meet the standards; Average DF 5% and Minimum DF 2%. And the result of a simulation by RADIANCE program shows the most appropriate DF range when it is applied in variable numbers about an oriehows the- South-east 15, south-east 30, south-east 45, south-west 15, south-west 30, and south-west 45 degrees. When it is applied in the variable numbers about glass transmittance - 60%, 70%, and 80% in condition facing south of a classroom, the result shows that the DF range of 80% transmittance is relatively higher than other glasses in the classroom. Thus, when a school is built, plans for an orientation is necessary for improve of elementary schools' environment with the glass installation which is made for high transmittance and is regarded with the students' activities time.

  • $SrBi_2Ta_2O_9$ thin films were etched at high-density $Cl_2/CF_4/Ar$ in inductively coupled plasma system. The chemical reactions on the etched surface were studied with x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and secondary ion mass spectrometry. The etching of SBT thin films in $Cl_2/CF_4/Ar$ were chemically assisted reactive ion etching. The maximum etch rate was 1060 Am /min in $Cl_2$(20)/CF_4(20)/Ar(80). The small addition of $Cl_2$ into $CF_4$(20)/Ar(80) plasma will decrease the fluorine radicals and the increase CI radical.   • The productions of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal(AMF) spores were observed by adding three different commercial fertilizers on AMF inhabiting soils. Various morphological features, vesicles, arbuscles, sporulations of spore, and flower-like-structures, were also found in the mycorrhizal roots during 80 days after transplanting. Spore prodcutions of the employed AMF were observed to be periodically increased with the intervals of 40 days. Sorghum, green onion, hot pepper, and wild legume plants were appeared to be a good plant for productions of AMF and as the host of AMF. The productions of AMF spores was inversely related to phosphate fertilizer, and also observed to be low in the plant pots added with whole balanced fertilizers.

  • Today, everybody lives in the stress. So 50% to 80% or 60% to 80% of the modern diseases are estimated what is caused by the stress. And one of the most important point of the stress is a too serious and continuos tension state. Therefore the best way to promotion, persistence, prevention and treatment of the modern man's health will be the relaxion from the tension state. The relax therapy as known as am effective method to the disease which as concerned with stress. that can be adapted to the treatment of anxiety-related diseases, insomnia, hypertension, tension headache, migraine, asthma, preparation of delivery, G-I disorders and menstrual disorders. Until now we guess the change of a relaxed state by the observation to the change of autonomic nervous system(ANS) and EEG. From the point of the ANS, sympathetic nervous system progresses slowly but parasympathetic nervous system increases the activity. In the EEG, both the alpha-wave concerned with the deep physical relaxed state and emotional stability and the theta-wave appeared in the state of meditation are increased. Current studies show that among the biochemical changes, especially serotinin like body hormone is increased by the feeling of the stability or the happiness. So, to see the change of the relaxed state in the image of the D.I.T.I., we used the deviational differences between the pre-relaxed state and the post-relaxed state of 70 people. As a result, the portional deviation of the face is decreased in the image of the D.I.T.I. So it can be thaught that we can determine the changes of the relaxed state by the D.I.T.I.

  • The prime cause of yield reduction of sesame is the lodging-induced damage, so a study of analyzing the products of sesame and frequency of a strong wind with the relation was implemented. The regression significance between the maximum velocity of wind during growing period of sesame and products was the highest in the Mokpo, Hampyung, Haenam, and Kohung district of coast but inland districts of Kwangju was non-significant. Estimated degrees of lodging-induced damage by a strong wind was shown as generally 31-41%, but a exceptional degree was observed as high as 80.5% at Mokpo district.

Chemical Composition of RR Lyn - an Eclipsing Binary System with Am and λ Boo Type Components

  • High-resolution spectroscopic observations of the eclipsing binary system RR Lyn were made using the 1.8 m telescope at the Bohuynsan Optical Astronomical Observatory in Korea. The spectral resolving power was R = 82,000, with a signal to noise ratio of S/N > 150. We found the effective temperatures and surface gravities of the primary and secondary components to be equal to $T_{eff}$ = 7,920 & 7,210 K and log(g) = 3.80 & 4.16, respectively. The abundances of 34 and 17 different chemical elements were found in the atmospheric components. Correlations between the derived abundances with condensation temperatures and the second ionization potentials of these elements are discussed. The primary component is a typical metallic line star with the abundances of light and iron group elements close to solar values, while elements with atomic numbers Z > 30 are overabundant by 0.5-1.5 dex with respect to solar values. The secondary component is a ${\lambda}$ Boo type star. In this type of stars, CNO abundances are close to solar values, while the abundance pattern shows a negative correlation with condensation temperatures.

  • 이족로봇이 stand-alone 형태를 가지기 위해서는 기계적인 구조가 중요할 뿐만 아니라 하드웨어시스템이 간결하게 잘 설계되어야 한다. 이렇게 하드웨어시스템이 가볍고 간결하여 설계되어야 쉽게 로봇에 장착할 수가 있다. 본 논문에서는 FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)를 이용해 모터 제어기를 구성해서 이족로봇을 설계하는 방법을 다루고자 한다. 본 논문에서 구성하는 하드웨어 시스템은 메인 CPU로 AM186ES를 사용하며 FPGA는 Altera사의 FLEX EPF10K20TC144-3을 사용하였다. 이와 같이 FPGA를 사용하는 하드웨어시스템은 기본적으로 VHDL언어를 사용하여 유연하게 하드웨어를 구성 할 수 있으며, 이족로봇의 여러 가지 보행 알고리즘에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 하드웨어가 간단해 지면서 가볍고 전력소모가 적으며 신뢰성 있는 시스템을 구축할 수 있다.

Antifungal Effects on Plant Pathogenic Fungi and Characteristics of Antifungal Substances Produced by Bacillus subtillis SJ-2 Isolated from Sclerotia of Rhizoctonia solani (벼 잎집무늬마름병균(Rhizoctoniz solani)의 균핵에서 분리한 Bacillus subtilis SJ-2의 식물 병원 곰팡이에 대한 항균 활성 및 항균 물질의 특성)

  • 벼 잎집무늬마름병균(Rhizoctonia solani)의 균핵에서 분리한 길항세균 SJ-2를 대치 배양 방법에 의해 벼도열병균(Pyricularia oryzae)외 6종의 식물 병원균에 대한 억제 효과를 조사하였다. 형태 및 생리적 특성을 조사한 결과, 이 균은 Bacillus subtilis로 동정되었다. 이 균은 AM 1(antibiotic medium 1)액체 배지에서 항균 물질을 분비하였으며, 배양 2일째 가장 항균 활성이 높았다. Butyl alcohol로 배양액에서 항균 물질을 조추출하여 100$\mu\textrm{g}$/ml의 농도로 조제한 감자 한천 배지에서 P. oryzae의 15개균에 대한 생육을 조사한 결과 P. oryzae, R. solani, Cochliobolus sativus에 대해서는 100% 생장을 억제하였으며, C. miyabeanus, Alternaria alternata, Botrytis cinerea, Cladosporium fulvum, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Fusarium moniliforme, F. oxysporum에는 80% 이상의 억제 효과를 보인 반면 난균강에 속하는 병원균에 대한 효과는 낮게 나타났다. 활성물질을 분리 정제하여 동정한 결과 B. subtilis가 분비하는 항균 물질로 알려진 polypeptides계의 iturins로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 항균 물질은 벼 도열병균(P. oryzae)의 포자 발아 및 발아관의 팽대(swelling)를 야기했으며, 벼 잎집무늬마름병균(R. solani)에는 균사의 용균(lysis)현상을 일으켰다.
