  • The eLoran(enhanced Long Range Navigation) transmitting antenna is analyzed for co-location with an AM transmitting antenna in an MF transmitting site. To compensate for the loading effect, the umbrella-type loading is applied for eLoran antenna. The validity of the co-location between the MF antenna and the eLoran antenna is verified through the simulation results of the radiation pattern and the return loss. Also, coupling including antenna matching circuit is analyzed to verify the effect of the transmitting circuit. The coupling between the LF and eLoran antenna is -53.3 dB at 100 kHz and -64.8 dB at 1,053 kHz, respectively.

  • This study examined the daily rhythmic patterns of mood in shift workers. Ten rotating shift nurses (shift worker group) were matched with ten non-rotating student nurses (non - shift worker group) working under the same conditions at University Hospital. The subjects completed the Mood Adjective Checkist (MAC) every two or three hours from 6AM to 9-11 PM for six consecutive days. The MAC was constructed by Mansour and conversed the mood factors of Anger - Depression. Happiness, Mental, and Social. These data were analyzed by using Cosinor method. The results are summarized as follows : 1. There was no difference in mean scores for Anger - Depression, Happiness, Mental, and Social mood rhythm between the shift workers and the non - shift workers. 2. There was no difference in the amplitude of Anger - Depression, Happiness and Social mood between the two groups, but the shift workers had a higher amplitude of Mental mood. 3. The acrophases of the Anger - Depression mood were between 1:28 and 2:05, and those of Happiness, Social, and Mental mood were between 12:5 and 15:03 for both groups. There were no differences between the groups. 4. The number of the subjects with statistically significant mean cosinor rhythms for Anger-De-pression and Mental moods were higher in the shift workers than in the non-shift workers, but there were no differences between the shift workers and the non-shift workers in those of Happiness and Mental mood. This study showed that the mod manifested circadian periodicities, and a rapidly rotating shift system did not changed the circadian rhythm of mood. It is expected that this study will facilitate a better understanding of circadian rhythm in mood in the shiftworkers.

  • Traumatic injury is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in children. This is a clinical review of pediatric blunt abdominal trauma. A retrospective analysis of the 112 children with blunt abdominal trauma aged 15 years or less treated at the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Chonbuk National University Hospital was performed. The analysis included age, sex, injury mechanism, number and site of the injured organ, management and outcomes. The average age of occurrence was 7.6 years, and the peak age was between 6 and 8 years. There was a male preponderance with a male to female ratio of 2.3:1. The most common cause of blunt abdominal trauma was traffic accidents (61.6 %), principally involving pedestrians (79.7 %). The accident prone times were between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, the weekends (40.2 %), and the winter respectively. Thirthy-five patients (31.2 %) had multiple intra-abdominal organ injuries and the most common injured organ was the liver. Seventy-four cases (66.1 %) were managed non-operatively and eleven cases (9.8 %) expired. Of the patients who were treated surgically or were to be operated on one patient died before surgery, the remainder died during or after surgery. Risk factors such as number of injured organ, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and trauma scores by Glasgow coma scale (GCS), Pediatric trauma score (PTS), revised trauma score (RTS), injury severe score (ISS), TRISS were significantly correlated with mortality rate.

  • The tunnel type spillways is under construction to increasing water reservoir capacity in Dae-am dam. The tunnel outlet was planned to be made after installing slope stabilization system on natural slope there. Generally, the tunnel outlet is made perpendicularly to the slope, but in this case, it had to be made obliquely to the slope for not interrupting flow of river. Because of excavation in condition of natural slope caused to deflecting earth pressure, the outlet couldn't be made. So, artificial ground made with concrete that it was constructed in the outside of tunnel for producing the arching effect which enables to make a outlet. We were planned tunnel excavation was carried out after artificial ground made. Artificial ground made by poor mix concrete of which it was planned that the thickness was at least 3.0m height from outside of tunnel lining and 30cm of height per pouring. Spreading and compaction was planned utilized weight of 15 ton roller machine. In order to access of working truck, slope of artificial ground was designed 1:1.0 and applied 2% slope in upper pert of it for easily drainage of water. In addition to, upper pert of artificial ground was covered with soil, because of impaction of rock fall from upper slope was made minimum. The tunnel excavation of the artificial ground was designed application with special blasting method that it was Super Wedge and control blasting utilized with pre-percussion hole.

  • The topic I have chosen for presentation to you today is entitled, the theory of change in nursing practice or to put it into simpler words. How do new ideas in nursing get started - Where do they come from\ulcorner - How are these ideas spread through the social system of nurses\ulcorner - What makes some Directors of Nursing more ready to accept change than others\ulcorner What factors in-fluence than to introduce change\ulcorner The process of change has been the subject of considerable research in such diverse disciplines and fields as anthropology and rural sociology, marketing and, also, education, for many years. The studies are called“diffusion”studies, or sometimes“adoption”studies, or“adoption of innovation”studies. They deal specifically with the transmission of innovations to members of a social system, and are considered a subset of research in the general field of communication, Although a number of studies have been undertaken in medicine, and, in the past decade, numerous ones in education, there have been few studies on the process of change in nursing. Yet, nursing has undergone tremendous changes in the past 10 years - the nursing process has been introduced, there is the expanded role of the nurse which is rapidly becoming a regular mode of practice - and many, many more changes, We seem to be always running to try. to keep up with changes that have already taken place. Yet little is known about known about the process of change itself - how practitioners learn about new ideas and techniques, or about the factors which influence nurses to accept some changes and reject others. The purpose of the study I am about. to describe was to analyze the process of change as it functioned in regard to nursing innovations in a selected segment of Canadian hospitals, and to relate the analysis to general research and theory about information transmission and the acceptance of change. Three aspects of the process were investigated : 1. The flow of information about changes in nursing practice through a network of hospitals. 2. Factors influencing the adoption of changes in nursing practice. 3. Factors influencing delay in the adoption process, the rejection of changes, or their discontinuance following adoption.

  • Magnetic properties and thermal stability by exchange biased perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in (Pd/Co)$_{N}$FeMn multilayer deposited by do magnetron sputtering system are investigated. We measured the perpendicular magnetization curves of (Pd(0.8nm)/Co(0.8nm)$_{5}$FeMn multilayer as function of FeMn thickness and annealing temperature. As FeMn thickness increases from 0 to 21nm, the perpendicular exchange bias(Hex) obtained 127 Oe at FeMn thickness 15nm. As the annealing temperature increases to 24$0^{\circ}C$, the E$_{ex}$ increased from 115 Oe to 190 Oe and disappeared exchange biased perpendicular magnetic anisotropy effect at 33$0^{\circ}C$.

  • Purpose: In this study, I am going to figure out Korean workers' actual exposure to risk factors and percentage of the workers who complain of health problems by performing a comparative analysis of the characteristics of the workers and working conditions in Korea and EU. Methods: The data used in this study includes the $1^{st}$ working conditions survey conducted in 2006 in Korea, the $2^{nd}$ working conditions survey in 2010, the $4^{th}$ EU working conditions survey, and the $5^{th}$ EU working conditions survey. I have compared the changes to Korean working conditions and those to EU working conditions in the categories of demographic characteristics, quality of labor, exposure to risk factors, and health problems included in the data. Results: The analysis of the characteristics of the demographic characters of Korean workers shows that aged and female workers register increased labor force participation. The analysis of labor quality shows that Korea has a long working time but with a lower work intensity compared to the countries included in EU working conditions survey. As for risk factors, Korea registers a low level of exposure as compared to countries included in EU working conditions survey and characteristically shows a decreasing exposure to tobacco smoke. The survey shows sharply increasing complaints of muscle pain in the upper and lower limbs. Conclusion: In this study, I have identified vulnerable social groups by using quantified values in a comparison of the working conditions of Korea and those of EU.

  • The Present study was performed to evaluate the stress distribution patterns of bone tissues around two Branemark implant fixtures with varying lengths. Six models were used with the combination of 10mm, 7mm, 5mm Branemark implant fixture analogs. The load distribution characteristics of surrounding bone tissues were observed under 64kg vertical static loading on central part of fixed bridge using 2 dimensional photoelastic technique. Through observing the pattern of stress distribution around the implant fixtures, I got the results as follow : 1. Stress distribution pattern of model I(10mm, 10mm) was best among those of six models. 2. When two fixtures were in equal length, stress was increased in proportion to the reduction of implant surface area. 3. When two fixtures were in unequal length, stress was concentrated on the neck portion of the shorter one.

  • Dynamic analysis of a marine slender structure is often involved with contacts among bodies or between bodies and seafloor. This paper presents an efficient and general contact search algorithm for dynamics in the context of the compliance contact model. A global detecting method that a bounding box is divided into several pieces in global coordinate system is presented in this paper. The method has an advantage that the number of contacting searching am be smaller than other methods for a system. The developed an efficient contact search algorithm is applied to the simulation program of 3D nonlinear dynamics of slender structure. Some examples are presented to show the validity of the proposed method.
