  • This article deals the development of Agile and Intelligent Manufacturing System(AIM) for the assembly automation of a tiny ultrasonic actuator used in camera phones and PDAs. The system consists of multi-vision modules, end-effectors, a standard base frame, dispensers, jigs and modular manipulators. Subsystems are a vision system, a force control system and a virtual reality system. Experimental results show that the assembly process for the small components in the various IT applications can be realized by the AIM system.

  • 자동화된 조립 생산분야에서 복잡하거나 정교한 작업을 수행하기 위해 Workcell 안에서 여러개의 디바이스들을 제어할 수 있는 지능적인 제어기를 개발할 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 새롭게 만들어지는 생산 장비의 각 디바이스에서 센서들과 엑츄에이터들을 동시성(Parallelism)과 실시간성(Real timeness)을 고려하여 어떻게 작업 지시를 프로그래밍하는가 하는 문제를 해결하여야 한다. 이를 위해 지금까지 대부분의 장비에서 사용하는 작업 교시 방법들은 특정한 동작을 나타내는 의미 명령어로 구성된 작업을 기술하거나, 사용자 인터페이스를 통해 장비업체가 일방적으로 정한 작업 지시를 입력하는 형태로서 개발되었다.(중략)

  • This paper presents a design experience of supervisory control system for agile and intelligent manufacturing(AIM). For effectively program job instructions, a Petri net-type graphical language is proposed and it can be applied to a various task such as concurrency and synchronization. PGL is consisted of PGL editor, PGL analyzer and PGL translator; PGL editor generates a job instruction program using graphic symbol. PGL analyzer prevents a deadlock or resource allocation of unit cell. PGL translator transfers to adequate sequential job commands of each unit cell.

  • This paper present a design experience of supervisory control system platform for agile and intelligent manufacturing(AIM). Embodied integrated environment that can do in place that do work direction, analysis command file generation, achievement using Petrinet-type Graphical Language(PGL) in proposed Supervisory Control System. Also, embodying whole system software in Modular done form, did to have extensity to fit in developer's requirement.
