Development of Smart Pet House with AI Function (AI 기능을 탑재한 스마트 반려동물 하우스 개발)

  • The population of domestic companion animals is estimated to be about 10 million now. In recent years, the domestic pet market has been launching a wide range of products and services for high quality, smart and well-being. As a result, the market size will increase from 900 billion won in 2012 to 2.3 trillion won in 2016, which has more than doubled in five years. The industry expects to reach 6 trillion won by 2020, expecting 3 trillion won this year. In particular, domestic dogs and cats market is estimated at 275.5 billion won, accounting for 19% of the domestic animal market and 1.425 billion won for the world market. However, despite the growing market for companion animals products, unfortunately the import dependence on related industrial goods is still high and the quality of service is very low. Unlike Europe and the United States, 90% of companion animals are housed in apartments, often causing problems in the health and safety of companions and companions. The purpose of this study is to develop a smart house for companion animals with environmental friendliness and AI function that can be won in competition with products of developed countries. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the creation of a new value - added base for the related industries through the strengthening of the competitiveness of the related SMEs and further the effect of employment increase and import substitution.

Recommendation System Development of Indirect Advertising Product through Summary Analysis of Character Web Drama (캐릭터 웹드라마 요약 분석을 통한 간접광고 제품 추천 시스템 개발)

  • This paper is a study on the development of an artificial intelligence (AI) system algorithm that recommends indirect advertising products suitable for character web dramas. The goal of this study is to increase viewers' content immersion and help them understand the story of the drama more deeply by recommending indirect advertising products that are suitable for writing lines for web dramas. In this study, we analyze dialogue and plot using the natural language processing model GPT, and develop two types of indirect advertising product recommendation systems, including prop type and background type, based on the analysis results. Through this, products that fit the story of the web drama are appropriately placed, allowing indirect advertisements to be exposed naturally, thereby increasing viewer immersion and enhancing the effectiveness of product promotion. There are limitations of artificial intelligence models, such as the difficulty in fully understanding hidden meanings or cultural nuances, and the difficulty in securing sufficient data for learning. However, this study will provide new insights into how AI can contribute to the production of creative works, and will be an important stepping stone to expand the possibilities of using natural language processing models in the creative industry.

  • The AI speaker is a simple operation that provides users with useful functions such as music playback, online search, and so the AI speaker market is growing at a very fast pace. However, AI speakers always wait for the user's voice, which can cause serious problems such as eavesdropping and personal information exposure if exposed to security threats. Therefore, in order to provide overall improved security of all AI speakers, it is necessary to identify potential security threats and analyze them systematically. In this paper, security threat modeling is performed by selecting four products with high market share. Data Flow Diagram, STRIDE and LINDDUN Threat modeling was used to derive a systematic and objective checklist for vulnerability checks. Finally, we proposed a method to improve the security of AI speaker by comparing the vulnerability analysis results and the vulnerability of each product.

A Study on Major Issues of Artificial Intelligence Using Keyword Analysis of Papers: Focusing on KCI Journals in the Field of Social Science (논문 키워드 분석을 통한 인공지능의 주요 이슈에 관한 고찰 : 사회과학 분야의 KCI 등재학술지를 중심으로)

  • Today, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a key driver of national competitiveness, but it is also causing unexpected side effects in society. This study intends to examine major social issues by collecting papers on AI targeting KCI journals in the field of social science. Therefore, we conducted keyword analysis of papers from 2016 to 2020. As a result of the analysis, the keywords for 'robot' and 'education' appeared the most, and the top six clusters (issues) were derived through the keyword network. The main issues are as follows: the background and/or basic concept of AI, AI education, side effects of AI, legal issues of AI-based creations, intention to use AI products/services, and AI ethics. The results of this study can be used to expand the discussion on the social aspects of AI and to find policy directions at the national level.

  • With the advent of the 4th industrial era and the development of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), metaverse, 3D printing, and 3D virtual wearing systems, the fashion industry continues to attempt to use digital technology and introduce it into various areas. The purpose of this study was to determine whether fashion and digital technology could be combined to create works and to suggest ways to apply digital technology in the fashion industry. As a research method, image generative AI, Midjourney was applied to the initial design ideation stage to derive inspiration images. 3D printing technique was then introduced as a production method to print fashion jewelry. As a result of the research, a total of six jewelry designs printed with a 3D printer were developed. One necklace, one bracelet, three earrings, and one ring were developed. This study identified the possibility of applying digital technology to real fashion jewelry design products by designing jewelry based on inspirational images derived from image generation AI and producing pieces of fashion jewelry with 3D modeling tasks and 3D printing outputs. This study is significant in that it expands the expression area of fashion jewelry design that combines digital technology.

Purification and Comparison of Properties of the C-Terminus Truncated Agarase of Pseudomonas sp. W7

  • Three plasmids derived from the ${\beta}-agarase$ gene (PjaA) of Pseudomonas sp. W7 were expressed in Escherichia coli AD494(DE3) pLysS with lactose as an inducer. These products corresponded to the complete (PjaA) and the two C-terminal truncated (PjaAI and PjaAII) forms of ${\beta}-agarase$. The PjaAI and the PjaAII were originated from exonuclease L treatment from PjaA by deleting 127 and 182 amino acid residues-encoded nucleic acids at 3' region, respectively. The molecular weights of the purified proteins were 71 kDa, 58 kDa, and 50 kDa on SDS-PAGE, respectively. The $K_m$ value of PjaAI was lower than that of the PjaA, and the catalytic efficiency ($k_{cat}/K_m$) of PjaAI was increased to 5 times. The enzyme of PjaAI retained more than 90% activity at $50^{\circ}C$. In contrast to the PjaAI, the remaining activity of the PjaA was only 20% at the same temperature.

The Effects of Oxidative Stress Induced by Aluminum on Cellular Macromolecules in the Hippocampus and Cerebral Cortex of Rats (알루미늄을 투여한 흰쥐의 해마와 대뇌피질에서 Reactive Oxygen Species 생성으로 인한 생체거대분자의 산화적 손상)

  • This work aimed to study the effectiveness of cellular oxidative parameter (malondial-dehyde, protein carbonyl, and 8-hydroxy-2'deoxyguanosine). The experimental groups were aluminum treated rats and control rats. Aluminum treatd rats were given intraperitoneally aluminum nitrate nonahydrate ($Al^{3+}$, 0.2 mmol/kg) daily for 30 days except Sunday. Control rats were injected 1 ml of saline. After the dose, rats were decapitated and hippocampus and cerebral cortex were removed. The measured parameters were tissue malondialdehyde (MDA, index of lipid peroxidation), protein carbonyl (index of protein oxidation), 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxy-guanosine (8-OHdG, index of DNA oxidation), reduced glutathione (GSH) levels as well as glutathione reductase (GR) and catalase. AI concentrations in the tissues were also measured. All results were corrected by tissue protein levels. The results were as followed; 1. The concentrations of AI in the cortex and hippocampus were significantly higher in the AI-treated rats than in the control rats. 2. Antioxidative enzyme's activity, catalase and GR, were significantly higher in the AI-treated rats than the control rats. GSH levels were also higher in the AI-treated rats. 3. MDA, protein carbonyl, and 8-OHdG concentration of AI-treated rats were significantly higher than those of control rats. 4. The concentrations of antioxidants, and oxidative stress parameter were correlated with the concentrations of AI in hippocampus and cerebral cortex. Catalase and GR activity were also correlated with the concentration of AI. Based on these results, it can be suggested that intraperitoneally injected AI was accumulated in the brain and induced the increase of antioxidant levels and antioxidative enzyme activity. Also, the oxidative products of cellular macromolecules are significantly related to tissue AI concentration. Therefore MDA, protein carbonyl, and 8-OHdG are useful markers for oxidative stress on cellular macromolecules.

  • As artificial intelligence develops rapidly, we can experience it in our everyday life such as with medical, education, and game applications. Traditional SW services were programmed explicitly by the intention of the programmer, and we have conducted evaluation on it. However, due to the uncertianty of AI services, risk follows to the products. Therefore, UX evaluations need to be different from traditional UX evaluations. Therefore, in this paper we suggest a AI-UX framework that consideres the task delegability, UX evaluations metrics, and individual differences.

  • This study was based on Android, one of the representative mobile platforms with the characteristics of connecting to the network anytime, anywhere and flexible mobility. In addition, using a demand prediction algorithm that can know the data of defective products based on AI, we will study the real-time monitoring UI design method based on Android studio with demand prediction data and company time series data.
