Analysis of Podcast User Behaviors and Classification of Users (팟캐스트 콘텐츠 이용자 행태분석 및 유형 파악)

  • As the audio content market grows due to the spread of the AI speaker market and the influence of connected cars, the demand for podcast service is increasing. Therefore, in this study, the behaviors of podcast users were identified and the user types were classified. In the background study, podcast usage motives and user types were studied, and they were referred to when making the questionnaire. In the survey, preferred audio content was identified according to the situation, and in the in-depth interview, the user type and insights were derived by identifying the audio service usage behavior. As a result of the survey, there was little difference between preferred content for single listening and multitasking, but the difference in preferred content according to time period was statistically significant. The three user types derived from the in-depth interview were divided into users who listen alone for the purpose of study, find and listen to useful information quickly while on the go, and multitask and listen to the light and comfortable contents. It is expected that the results of this study will be an important reference for designing an audio content platform to improve user experience.

  • The evolution of new digital technologies is progressing rapidly. In particular, many changes in software and artificial intelligence are progressing rapidly in the field of education. The Ministry of Education is planning an educational program by linking software and artificial intelligence regular curriculum. Before applying it to regular subjects, various software and artificial intelligence related experience camps are being promoted. This study aims to construct an educational model for software and artificial intelligence education programs for high school students based on new digital technology. By expanding and distributing software and artificial intelligence education, we aim to enhance the basic capabilities of software and artificial intelligence for high school students. I would like to define the concept of software and artificial intelligence in high school and propose a model that links software and artificial intelligence learning factors to the regular curriculum.

  • Metaverse is at the center of heated debates in many areas recently. Coupled with real world, metaverse is extending its domain into social and cultural activities in addition to economic value creation as untact activities increase. Global companies are investing in R&D for metaverse. The reason is that metaverse is supposed to create new value by converging virtual and real worlds thanks to technology advancement such as AI, big data, 3D graphic, 5G, cloud computing, etc. Thus, innovative changes are expected in the economic, social and cultural areas. However, there are many problems to be solved yet for connecting virtual world and real one. Also, epoch-making development of products and services should be done for realistic experience and profit creation using virtual space in various industries beyond untact social activities against pandemic situation. The essence, present condition, development and its application areas of metaverse will be analyzed, and expected problems researched so that the strategy and methodology for securing global competitiveness will be addressed in coming metaverse era.

  • Engineering's work area for plants is a technical area that directly affects productivity, performance, and quality throughout the lifecycle from planning, design, construction, operation and disposal. Using the different types of data that occur to make decisions is important not only in the subsequent process but also in terms of cyclical cost reduction. However, there is a lack of systems to manage and analyze these integrated data. In this paper, we developed a knowledge base-based plant engineering analysis platform that can manage and utilize data. The platform provides a knowledge base that preprocesses previously collected engineering data, and provides analysis and visualization to use it as reference data in AI models. Users can perform data analysis through the use of prior technology and accumulated knowledge through the platform and use visualization in decision-support and systematically manage construction that relied only on experience.

  • This study investigates the comprehensive system for collecting intelligent learning activity data tailored to learner-centered personalized education. We compared and analyzed the characteristics of xAPI, Caliper analytics, and cmi5, which are learning activity data collection standards, and established a system that allows not only standardized data but also non-standardized learning activity data to be stored as big data for artificial intelligence learning analysis. As a result, the system was structured into five stages: defining data types, standardizing learning data using xAPI, storing big data, conducting learning analysis (statistical and AI-based), and providing learner-tailored services. The aim was to establish a foundation for analyzing learning data using artificial intelligence technology. In future research, we will divide the entire system into three stages, implement and execute it, and correct and supplement any shortcomings in the design.

  • This study focuses on considering the factors affecting the user intention to adopt an intelligent service - A.I. speaker services. Currently there can be a considerable difference between the expectation and the realized diffusion of IT-based intelligent services. This study aims to find out this gap based on the idea of diver previous researches including TAM and UTAUT studies and to identify the direct and indirect effects of diverse factors such as security issues, perceived time pressure, service innovativeness, and the experience of these IT-based intelligent services. And this study considers the expected impact of perceived time pressure factor on the user acceptance of A.I. speaker services. In analysis results, not only the traditional factors such as the perceived usefulness and the hedonic/utilitarian motives but also the perceived time pressure, the perceived security issues, and the experience of the services should be considered as meaningful factors to affect the users adopting A.I. speaker services.

Case Study for the Application of PBL in Engineering School : Focused on an Artificial Intelligence Class (공과대학에서 문제중심학습 적용 사례 연구 : 인공지능 과목을 중심으로)

  • This thesis aims to develop PBL (Problem-Based-Learning) problems. Its goal is for some groups of students to creative their own problems and to confirm the effectiveness of PBL as they apply it to AI (Artificial Intelligence) in engineering schools. Modern industrial society needs competent people who have abilities in cooperative learning, self-controlled learning, united knowledge application, and creative problem-solving. Universities need to offer their students the opportunity to improve their problem-solving and cooperative learning abilities in order to train the competent people that society demands. PBL activity is an appropriate learning method for the accomplishment of these goals. The study subjects are 37 sophomore students in H University who are studying 'AI'. Five PBL problems were submitted to the class over a period of 15 weeks. The students wrote and submitted a reflective journal after they finished each PBL activity. In addition, they filled out a class evaluation form to assess the performances of each member when the $5^{th}$ PBL problem activity was accomplished. The study shows that the students experienced the effectiveness of PBL in many fields, such as the comprehension of the studied contents (86.48%), comprehension of cooperative learning (94.59%), authentic experience (75.67%), problem-solving skills (89.18%), presentation skills (97.29%), creativity improvement (81.08%), knowledge acquisition ability (86.48%), communication ability (97.29%), united knowledge application (78.37%), self-directed study ability (86.48%) and confidence (97.29%). Through these methods, the students were able to realize that PBL learning activities play an important role in their learning. These methods prepare and enhance their ability to think creatively, work systematically and speak confidently as they learn to become competitive engineers equipped with the knowledge and skills that modern industrial society demands.

  • Artificial intelligence technology is influencing across all areas as technology advances and social needs change. Therefore, Korean universities have actively developed and operated classes related to artificial intelligence, and have emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence not only in major education but also in liberal arts education. However, there is a lack of research on the development of educational methods and educational programs because artificial intelligence education in liberal arts is in its early stages. SSI is an education that can apply social and ethical problems related to science to open problems that can creatively and reasonably present solutions. SSI can be applied to make AI education more effective. In this study, an artificial intelligence liberal arts curriculum applied SSI was developed with three purposes: First, it is designed is designed so that students subject to education can access it by considering its characteristics as actors of the intelligent information society. Second, it is designed so that students can experience artificial intelligence programs themselves and deal with science technology and social relevance in depth, focusing on various examples of real life. Third, it is designed and approached so that students can participate and cooperate for the purpose of solving common problems to develop cooperative problem-solving skills.

  • Services for navigation and entertainment through AI-based voice user interface devices are becoming popular in the connected car system. Given the classification of VUI agent developers as IT companies and automakers, this study explores attributes of agent persona and user experience that impact the driver's perceived safety and satisfaction. Participants of a car simulator experiment performed entertainment and navigation tasks, and evaluated the perceived safety and satisfaction. Results of regression analysis showed that credibility of the agent developer, warmth and attractiveness of agent persona, and efficiency and care of the UX dimension showed significant impact on the perceived safety. The determinants of perceived satisfaction were unity of auto-agent makers and gender as predisposing factors, distance in the agent persona, and convenience, efficiency, ease of use, and care in the UX dimension. The contributions of this study lie in the discovery of the factors required for developing conversational VUI into the autonomous driving environment.

Factors Predicting Nurse Intent and Status Regarding Pap Smear Examination in Taiwan: a Cross-sectional Survey

  • Background: Nurses are the most visible, frontline personnel providing health education to patients. In particular, nurse experience with Pap examinations have the potential to influence women's attitudes toward screening for cervical cancer. However, nurses in Taiwan have lower rates of Pap testing than the general population. Understanding the factors predicting nurse intent to have a Pap exam and Pap exam status would inform interventions and policies to increase their Pap exam uptake. Therefore, the present study was undertaken. Materials and Methods: Data were collected by questionnaire from a convenient sample of 504 nurses at a regional hospital in central Taiwan between August and October 2011 and analyzed by descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, and logistic regression. Results: Nurse intention to have a Pap exam was predicted by younger age, less negative attitudes toward Pap exams, and greater influence of others recommendations. However, nurses were more likely to actually have had a Pap exam if they were older, married, had sexual experience, and had a high intention to have a Pap exam. Conclusions: Nurses who are younger than 34 years old, unmarried, sexually inexperienced, and with low intention to have a Pap exam should be targeted with interventions to educate them not only about the importance of Pap exams in detecting cervical cancer, but also about strategies to decrease pain and embarrassment during exams. Nurses with less negative attitudes and experiences related to Pap exams would serve as role models to persuade women to have Pap exams, thus increasing the uptake rate of Pap exams in Taiwan.
