Recently, interest in edutech has been focused on its fusion with AI technology, and the market in this field is expanding. This study aims to analyze the technological competitiveness and key technological areas of major countries in the AI-edutech field. Additionally, considering that AI-edutech is a convergence of AI technology and edutech, the study seeks to examine the path dependence of AI-edutech in each country to determine whether they are based on existing AI technologies or edutech. To this end, AI-edutech patents were collected and competitiveness was analyzed using patent activity, patent impact, and market acquisition indicators. Path dependence for each country was analyzed using the hurdle negative binomial regression model. The analysis results indicate that the major countries in the AI-edutech field are China, South Korea, the United States, India, and Japan. In terms of patent activity, China had the highest level, followed by South Korea. In terms of patent impact and market securing power, the United States was high in both aspects, Japan had high market securing power, and South Korea had high patent influence. The results of the hurdle negative binomial analysis presented unique findings. The logit part results indicated that the possession of existing AI and edutech did not positively affect the emergence of current AI-edutech, but the count part results showed a positive influence. This suggests that, overall, it is difficult to assert that current AI-edutechs are based on past AI and edutechs. However, once some AI-edutechs based on existing AI and edutechs emerge, they are influenced by the existing technologies. These findings provide implications for future research and technological strategies in this field.

Recently with the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies such as Chat GPT, AI semiconductors have become important. AI technologies require the ability to process large volumes of data quickly, as they perform tasks such as big data processing, deep learning, and algorithms. However, AI semiconductors encounter challenges with excessive power consumption and data bottlenecks during the processing of large-scale data. Thus, the latest packaging technologies are required for AI semiconductor computations. In this study, the authors have described packaging technologies applicable to AI semiconductors, including interposers, Through-Silicon-Via (TSV), bumping, Chiplet, and hybrid bonding. These technologies are expected to contribute to enhance the power efficiency and processing speed of AI semiconductors.
This study assesses the national AI competitiveness of 38 OECD countries with focus on AI human capital, AI infrastructure, and AI innovation capacity. Utilizing the fuzzy-set ideal type analysis method, these countries were categorized into eight distinct types based on their national AI competitiveness levels, leading to the derivation of pertinent implications. The analysis identified a category termed "AI Leading Country" consisting of North American, Western European, and Nordic countries, along with several Asian nations including South Korea. Remarkably, the United States demonstrated dominant global national AI competitiveness, achieving the highest fuzzy scores across all three evaluative factors. South Korea was classified as an "AI Leading Country" primarily due to its superior AI infrastructure, but its performance in AI human capital and AI innovation capacity was found to be moderate relative to other analyzed nations; thus highlighting the necessity of sustained focus on the accumulation of AI human capital and bolstering of AI innovation capacity.

In this paper, we propose an artificial intelligence(AI) technology analysis using partial least square(PLS) regression model. AI technology is now affecting most areas of our society. So, it is necessary to understand this technology. To analyze the AI technology, we collect the patent documents related to AI from the patent databases in the world. We extract AI technology keywords from the patent documents by text mining techniques. In addition, we analyze the AI keyword data by PLS regression model. This regression model is based on the technique of partial least squares used in the advanced analyses such as bioinformatics, social science, and engineering. To show the performance of our proposed method, we make experiments using AI patent documents, and we illustrate how our research can be applied to real problems. This paper is applicable not only to AI technology but also to other technological fields. This also contributes to understanding other various technologies by PLS regression analysis.

The purpose of this study is to explain and predict trends the AI development process based on AI technology patents (total) and AI reporting frames in major newspapers. To that end, a summary of South Korean and U.S. technology patents filed over the past nine years and the AI (Artificial Intelligence) news text of major domestic newspapers were analyzed. In this study, Topic Modeling and Time Series Return Analysis using Big Data were used, and additional network agenda correlation and regression analysis techniques were used. First, the results of this study were confirmed in the order of artificial intelligence and algorithm 5G (hot AI technology) in the AI technical patent summary, and in the news report, AI industrial application and data analysis market application were confirmed in the order, indicating the trend of reporting on AI's social culture. Second, as a result of the time series regression analysis, the social and cultural use of AI and the start of industrial application were derived from the rising trend topics. The downward trend was centered on system and hardware technology. Third, QAP analysis using correlation and regression relationship showed a high correlation between AI technology patents and news reporting frames. Through this, AI technology patents and news reporting frames have tended to be socially constructed by the determinants of media discourse in AI development.

In information security, AI technology is used to detect unknown malware. Although AI technology guarantees high accuracy, it inevitably entails false positives, so we are considering introducing XAI to interpret the results predicted by AI. However, XAI evaluation studies that evaluate or verify the interpretation only provide simple interpretation results are lacking. XAI evaluation is essential to ensure safety which technique is more accurate. In this paper, we interpret AI results as features that have significantly contributed to AI prediction in the field of malware, and present an evaluation method for the interpretation of AI results. Interpretation of results is performed using two XAI techniques on a tree-based AI model with an accuracy of about 94%, and interpretation of AI results is evaluated by analyzing descriptive accuracy and sparsity. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the AI result interpretation was properly calculated. In the future, it is expected that the adoption and utilization of XAI will gradually increase due to XAI evaluation, and the reliability and transparency of AI will be greatly improved.
