가정방문 인지 및 신체활동 작업치료 프로그램이 재가 치매환자의 인지, 우울 및 삶의 질에 미치는 효과 (Effects of home-based cognitive and physico - occupational therapy program on cognitive function, depression and quality of life in dementia patients of a community)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine the effects of home-based cognitive physico-occupational therapy(HBCPOT) on cognitive function, depression, and quality of life in dementia patients, using a cognitive impairment model. Methods: The data was analysed for Mini-Mental State Examination-Korean version (MMSE-KC) for assessing cognitive function, Quality of life-Alzheimer's Disease (QOL-AD) and Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) in 31 dementia patients who received home-based cognitive physico-occupational therapy for one hour once a week for 12 weeks by a trained occupational therapist at the Dementia Prevention and Management Center of Y-city during 20111-2013. Results: Among these 31 patients, 18(58.1%) were female, and 25(80.6%) had Alzheimer's Disease. After HBCPOT, the mean scores of MMSE-KC and QOL-AD were significantly improved, but GDS score was not significantly decreased. Conclusions: It was suggested that HBCPOT was effective in improving cognitive function and quality of life.

공간문화콘텐츠 창제작 프로젝트 기반 수업 :신촌 도시재생 커뮤니케이션 캠페인 PBL 효과분석을 중심으로 (Project Based Learning for University-Led Urban Regeneration: A Case Study on the Strategic Communication Campaign Class for the Sinchon Regeneration Project)

  • 광고PR을 포함한 문화콘텐츠 응용학문에서 프로젝트기반학습(이하 PBL)에 대한 수요가 날로 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 '전략 커뮤니케이션 캠페인'과목을 PBL 방식으로 두 학기 동안 진행한 후 수업 프로젝트가 목표한 성과를 측정하고 관련된 요인 구조를 파악했다. 구체적으로, 서울시 '서대문구 신촌 도시재생'을 주제로 진행된 프로젝트 기반수업에서 수강생 대상으로 학기 초와 말에 두 차례 진행한 사전-사후 설문 분석결과 본 수업에서 주요 변수로 간주한 '신촌에 대한 장소애착'에서 유의미한 증가를 확인할 수 있었다. 더불어, 수업의 지적효용, 수업의 즐거움, 수업만족과 장소애착 간의 구조적 관계를 검토한 결과 수업만족이 장소애착을 예측하는 주요 변인임을 확인했다. 수업성적은 장소애착에 직접적 영향을 행사하지만 타 변인들과의 영향관계를 보여주지는 않았다. 본 연구는 '문화콘텐츠 창제작 분야 PBL 수업 실제 사례를 다룬 연구로 문화콘텐츠 영역 PBL 학술연구뿐 아니라 대학교육 현장에서 PBL을 실제 적용하는데 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 나아가, 본 연구가 대학들에 PBL 교수법을 확산시킴으로써 문화콘텐츠 관련 전공 학생들의 수업 만족도를 높이는 동시에 청년들의 취창업 경쟁력을 강화하는 데도 일조할 수 있다는 점에서 실용적 함의가 크다.

Content Analysis of Food Advertising Directed at Korean Children

  • Children have become the target of intense and specialized food advertising efforts. This study examines the content of TV food advertising and discussed possible concerns from the perspective of children. A total of 102 ads were collected from two cable networks aimed at children. Most of the food ads used emotional appeals and did not provide information clues such as nutrition values. Ads with high sales pressure and celebrity endorsements appeared frequently and the ads for snack foods and high-carbohydrate bakery products were dominant. Understanding food ads can be a significant indicator to establish the orientation of consumer ad education and build educational programs appropriate for children. The issue that appears conspicuous in child targeted advertising and marketing is the childhood obesity and food advertising relation; subsequently, there is a need to evolve advertising that targets children into a positive educational information source.

  • Let R be a prime ring with characteristic different from two and let $\theta,\varphi,\sigma,\tau$ be the automorphisms of R. Let d : $R{\rightarrow}R$ be a nonzero ($\theta,\varphi$)-derivation. We prove the following results: (i) if $a{\in}R$ and [d(R), a]$_{{\theta}o{\sigma},{\varphi}o{\tau}}$=0, then $\sigma(a)\;+\;\tau(a)\;\in\;Z$, the center of R, (ii) if $d([R,a]_{\sigma,\;\tau)\;=\;0,\;then\;\sigma(a)\;+\;\tau(a)\;\in\;Z$, (iii) if $[ad(x),\;x]_{\sigma,\;\tau}\;=\;0;for\;all\;x\;\in\;RE$, then a = 0 or R is commutative.

Effect of nano-composite materials on repair of ligament injury in sports detoxification

  • Extraordinary properties of nanocomposites make them a primary replacement for many conventional materials. Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, which is a frequent surgery in sport activities, is one of the fields in which nanocomposites could be utilized. In the present study, the mechanical properties of different porous scaffolds made from graphene nano-composites are presented ad load bearing capacity of these materials is calculated using finite element method. The numerical results are further compared with experimental published data. In addition, several geometrical and material parameters are analyzed to find the best configuration of nanocomposite scaffolds in reconstruction of ACL. Moreover, coating of detoxification chemicals are extremely easier on the nano-structured materials than conventional one. Detoxification potential of nano-composites in the injured body are also discussed in detail. The results indicated that nano-composite could be successfully used in place of auto- and allografts and also instead of conventional metallic screws in reconstruction of ACL.

Protective Immune Response of Bacterially-Derived Recombinant FaeG in Piglets

  • FaeG is the key factor in the infection process of K88ad enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) fimbrial adhesin. In an attempt to determine the possibility of expressing recombinant FaeG with immunogenicity for a new safe and high-production vaccine in E. coli, we constructed the recombinant strain, BL21 (DE3+K88), which harbors an expression vector with a DNA fragment of faeG, without a signal peptide. Results of 15% SDS-polyacrylamide slab gel analysis showed that FaeG can be stably over-expressed in BL21 (DE3+K88) as inclusion bodies without FaeE. Immunoglobulin G (IgG) and M (IgM) responses in pregnant pigs, with boost injections of the purified recombinant FaeG, were detected 4 weeks later in the sera and colostrum. An in vitro villius-adhesion assay verified that the elicited antibodies in the sera of vaccinated pigs were capable of preventing the adhesion of K88ad ETEC to porcine intestinal receptors. The protective effect on the mortality rates of suckling piglets born to vaccinated mothers was also observed one week after oral challenge with the virulent ETEC strain, $C_{83907}$ (K88ad, $CT^+,\;ST^+$). The results of this study proved that the adhesin of proteinaceous bacterial fimbriae or pili could be overexpressed in engineered E. coli strains, with protective immune responses to the pathogen.

의료인문학 교육과정 개편에 대한 Kern의 교육과정개발 모델에 근거한 비판적 성찰 (A Critical Review of Medical Humanities Education Curriculum Development Based on Kern's Curriculum Development Model)

  • Medical humanities education (MHE) is as essential as basic medical sciences and clinical medicine education. Despite the importance of MHE, MHE curriculum development (CD) has proven to be challenging. This critical review examines the MHE CD at one medical school. The critical review methodology was developed based on Kern's six step CD model to systematically examine the CD of "Doctoring and Medical Humanities (DMH)" at the Yonsei University College of Medicine. Five review questions were developed related to (1) necessity, (2) direction and purpose, (3) design, (4) operation, and (5) evaluation of CD based on Kern's model. The review showed that the process of DMH CD mapped to components of Kern's model. The DMH curriculum content selected was closely related to medical practice and aimed to combine the acquisition of understanding and skills by designing a student-participatory curriculum based on clinical cases. Assessment methods that emphasized students' reflections were actively introduced in the evaluation section. Since the regular committee for DMH continued the work of the special ad hoc committees for DMH CD, the CD was effectively completed. However, the planning and evaluation functions and responsibilities of the DMH committee need to be strengthened. Despite the apparent limitations, the fact that students showed a high satisfaction rate and preferred small group discussions based on clinical cases has significant implications in the instructional design of MHE, where changes in self-awareness and attitude are more important than the acquisition of information. It is necessary to systematically review and study students' reflection results produced by the changed assessment methods and to develop assessment indicators for MHE that reflect the achievements of the MHE competencies of students.

통신교육을 위한 학과편제에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Organization of Department for the Education of Telecommunications)

  • The education system is the communication field should be based on the characteristics of communication science and the function of manpower. However, the current education system at the level of college is insufficient and irrational to meet the requirements of the telecommunication field in our country. The main reasons are as follows: 1. Misunderstanding the characteristics of communication science. 2. Indiscretion of the categories of communication manpower due to lack of coordination between academic circles and communication industrial field. Telecommunication function could be performed only by combining the engineering and the suitable operational control. The communication engineering is similar to the electronic engineering, but the former should follow the miscellaneous international protocol and the domestic regulations, being only a means for the telecommunication function. In order to improve the education system of communiation, we aim to identify the principle of communication science, orthodoxy of the education, the categories of communication industrial field and manpower. The present system has been formed on the basis of ignoring the attributes of manpower and historical background of communication science. Therefore, this paper proposes to set up new departmental organizations for educating communication manpower as the following: In addition, this paper proposes a new curriculum model of the above twodept, and we believe that it well turn out more scientific, effective and reasonable education for the communication science. 1. Modification of the present formation, designated Electronic Communication Department. 2. New formation model: A. The best future model such as establishing ad independent telecommunication college which is composed of : Dept. of Radiocommunication Dept. of Telecommunication Enginnering Dept. of Communication Industrial management Dept. of Transmission Engineering Dept. of Telecommunication Law B. An immediately practicable proposal model instead of the existin Dept.. which is composed of the first two Dept. of the above five Dept. In addition, this paper proposes a new curriculum model of the above two dept. and we believe that it will turn out the education for the communication science to be more scientific, effective and reasonable.

Channel Statistical MAC Protocol for Cognitive Radio

  • opportunistic spectrum access (OSA) allows unlicensed users to share licensed spectrum in space and time with no or little interference to primary users, with bring new research challenges in MAC design. We propose a cognitive MAC protocol using statistical channel information and selecting appropriate idle channel for transmission. The protocol based on the CSMA/CA, exploits statistics of spectrum usage for decision making on channel access. Idle channel availability, spectrum hole sufficiency and available channel condition will be included in algorithm statistical information. The model include the control channel and data channel, the transmitter negotiates with receiver on transmission parameters through control channel, statistical decision results (successful rate of transmission) from exchanged transmission parameters of control channel should pass the threshold and decide the data transmission with spectrum hole on data channel. A dynamical sensing range as a important parameter introduced to maintain the our protocol performance. The proposed protocol's simulation will show that proposed protocol does improve the throughput performance via traditional opportunistic spectrum access MAC protocol.

전송성공률을 고려한 QoS보장 AODV 알고리즘 (AODV Routing Algorithm Considering Successful Transmission Rate for QoS Support)

  • 무선 센서 네트워크에서 효율적 데이터 전송을 위해서는 라우팅 프로토콜의 선택이 중요하다. AODV 라우팅 프로토콜은 소스 노드에서 목적지 노드까지의 홉 수가 가장 적은 경로를 선택하는 알고리즘으로 동작 원리가 단순한 반면, 홉수 외에는 다른 어떠한 것도 고려를 하지 않기 때문에 QoS 제공에는 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 점을 보완하기 위해 각 링크의 전송 성공률을 고려한 AODV 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 전송 성공률을 홉 수에 반영함으로써 기존의 AODV 알고리즘을 크게 변경시키지 않고 효율적으로 QoS 제공할 수 있다.
