Concrete Shear Strength of High Strength Concrete Beams Reinforced with FRP Bars (FRP Bar를 사용한 고강도 콘크리트 보의 콘크리트 전단강도)

  • This study evaluates the concrete shear strength for normal and high strength concrete beams reinforced with 3 type FRP bars (CFRP, GFRP, HFRP). Experimental results obtained from twenty-four simply supported concrete beams are compared with values predicted by FRP shear strength expressions proposed in the various literatures, including the ACI Committee 318 and ACI Committee440. The shear strength correction factors are proposed through the regression analysis.

국제학술회의 참관기 - 미 콘크리트학회 봄 학술대회

  • 지난 3월26일부터 6일동안 미국 샌디에고에서 열린 미국 콘크리트학회(ACI) 봄 학술대회는 30개국에서 1천2백여명이 참가해 성황을 이루었다. 이번 대회의 주제는 'Aesthetics'로 콘크리트의 아름다움과 미적 기술에 대한 현재까지의 사례, 연구결과 등이 중점 발표됐다. 특히 올해 서울에서 열린 ACI 가을 학술대회는 30여국에서 1백29편이 발표될 예정인데 필자는 국제의원회에 참석해 준비상황도 설명했다.

  • Eight singly reinforced high strength concrete beams without web reinforcement were tested to investigate their behavior and to determine their ultimate shear capacities. In this study, the main variable was the ration of longitudinal reinforcement. Test results were compared with strength predicted by using ACI code, Zsutty's dquation and Bazant & Kim's equation. As the result, for the beams of low steel ratio, the margin of safety in ACI code may be disappeared. It was shown that Zsutty.s equation well predict the trend of the test data.

  • 1. 서론 : 이온교환막은 1950년대 미국 Juda등이 이온교환수지를 부숴 Sheet상으로 만든 것이 최초이다. 그후 여러기업에서 정력적으로 연구개발되어 왔다. Azuma Isamu, Asahi Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.(이하 ACI)는 1951년부터 이온교환막 및 전기투석기술의 연구개발을 시작하여 1961년에는 세계 최초로 연산 50,000톤의 식염 Plant의 상업운전을 Hukushima현 Onabe에서 개시하였다. 현재 ACI의 이온교환막 전기투석기술을 이용하여 일본에서 630,000톤/년, 한국에서 150,000톤/년, 대만에서 100,00톤/년의 식염을 생산하고 있다. Shear Behavior and Performance of Deep Beams Made with Self-Compacting Concrete

  • An experimental study was carried out to evaluate fresh properties of a moderately high-strength (high-flowing) self-compacting concrete (SCC) and to investigate shear behavior and performance of deep beams made with SCC. Fresh and hardened properties of normal concrete (NC) and SCC were evaluated. The workability and compacting ability were observed based on casting time and number of surface cavities, respectively. Four-point loading tests on four deep beams (two made with SCC and two with NC) were then conducted to investigate their shear behavior and performance. Shear behavior and performance of beams having two different web reinforcements in shear were systematically investigated in terms of crack pattern, failure mode, and load-deflection response. It was found from the tests that the SCC specimen having a normal shear reinforcement condition exhibited a slightly higher load carrying capacity than the corresponding NC specimen, while the SCC specimen having congested shear reinforcement condition showed a similar load carrying capacity to the corresponding NC specimen. In addition, a comparative study between the present experimental results and theoretical results in accordance with ACI 318 (Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (ACI 318-89) and Commentary-ACI 318R-89, 1999), Hsu-Mau's explicit method (Hsu, Cem Concr Compos 20:419-435, 1998; Mau and Hsu, Struct J Am Concr Inst 86:516-523, 1989) and strut-and-tie model suggested by Uribe and Alcocer (2002) based on ACI 318 Appendix A (2008) was carried out to assess the applicability of the aforementioned methods to predict the shear strength of SCC specimens.
