The experiments were performed in model conductors under the application of ac and dc high-voltages. The results of an experimental investigation into the flashover characteristics of air dielectric strength in the presence of oil/gas flame are reported. It is demonstrated that flame can reduce by more than half, 80% in maximum the breakdown voltage of a model line. Taking a horizontal model line with a k=0.5, it can be seen from the results that the reduction of flashover levels, in comparison with the no-flame case, are 78.7[%] for h=0[cm], 59.6[%] for h=3[cm], 46.4[%] for h=6[cm], 40.4[%] for h=9[cm] and 23.2[%] for h=12[cm] when ac voltage is applied.
A high performance and low cost single switch current fed energy recovery circuit (ERC) for an alternating current (AC) plasma display panel (PDP) is proposed. Since it is composed of only one power switch compared with the conventional circuit consisting of four power switches and two large energy recovery capacitors, the ERC features a simpler structure and lower cost. Furthermore, since all power switches can be switched under soft switching operating conditions, the proposed circuit has desirable merits such as increased reliability and low switching loss. Specifically, there are no serious voltage notches across the PDP with the aid of gas discharge current compensation, which can greatly reduce the current stress of all inverter switches, and provide those switches with the turn on timing margin. To confirm the validity of proposed circuit, its operation and performance were verified on a prototype for 7-inch test PDP.

A constant voltage AC-DC converter based on digital assistant technology is proposed in this paper, which has rapid dynamic response capability. The converter operates in the PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulation) mode. According to the load state, the compensation current produced by the digital compensation module was injected into the CS pin to adjust the switching pulse width dynamically and improve the dynamic response. The control chip is implemented based on NEC $1{\mu}m$ 5V/40V HVCMOS process. A 5V/1.2A prototype has been built to verify the proposed control method. When the load jumps from idle to heavy, the undershoot time is only 7.4ms.
This paper deals with the characteristics of a small scale $high-T_c$ superconducting(HTSC) levitation system. The levitation tester. which models after electrodynamic suspension(EDS) maglev, consists of one HTSC magnet, a reaction plate, and force measuring components. Instead of moving magnet, AC current was applied to the fixed HTSC magnet. The magnet also has persistent current switch(PCS). The inductance of the magnet was 18.5 mH and total joint resistance of the magnet was $5.74{\times}10^{-7}\Omega$. AC current was applied into the HTSC magnet with various frequencies and the levitation force was calculated and measured. According to the increase of the vehicle speed, the levitation force was saturated.

This paper proposes a fast-processing and low-cost hardware multiple input multiple output (MIMO) channel emulator. The channel emulator is an important component of hardware-based simulation systems. The novelty of this work is the use of sharing and pipelining functions to reduce hardware resource utilization while maintaining a high sample rate. In our proposed emulator, the samples are created sequentially and interpolated to ensure the sample rate is equal to the base band rate. The proposed 4 × 4 MIMO requires low-cost hardware resource so that it can be implemented on a single field-programmable gate array (FPGA) chip. An implementation on Xilinx Virtex-7 VX980T was found to occupy 10.47% of the available configurable slice registers and 12.58% of the FPGA's slice lookup tables. The maximum frequency of the proposed emulator is 758.064 MHz, so up to 560 different paths can be processed simultaneously to generate 560 × 758 million × 2 × 32 bit complex-valued fading samples per second.
In most power electronic applications, the AC power input provided by the electronic utility needs to first converted to a DC voltage. Such conversion is accomplished by a diode rectifier due to its circuit simplicity and low cost. However, since diode rectifiers have some intrinsic problems such as low power factor and high harmonic distortion, a wide use of such rectifiers may cause noises, malfunction and heat damage in both electrical power systems and electrical machinery systems. This paper proposes soft switched three-phase single switch boost-type converter. The proposed circuit can perform Zero Voltage Switched(ZVS) without using any current and voltage sensors. For this circuit, both simulation and experiments have been performed. The results not only confirmed the ZVS but also indicated that, compared to the conventional hard switched converter, the prosed circuit can improve the efficiency as much as 1.7 to 4.7[%] while keeping the same high power factor and small harmonic distortion in their AC input.
SET (Suppressor of variegation, Enhancer of zeste, and the Trithorax) domain-containing proteins are known to have methyltransferase activity at lysine residues of histone proteins. In this study, we identified a novel SET domain-containing protein from mouse and named Kodo7. Indeed, Kodo7 has methyltransferase activity at K9 residue of the H3 protein as demonstrated by a histone methyl-transferse activity assay using GST-tagged Kodo7. Confocal microscopy showed that Kodo7 is co-localized with histones in the nucleus. Interestingly, ectopic expression of Kodo7 by transient transfection induced cell death and treatment of the transfectants with a caspase-3 inhibitor, Ac-DEVD-AFC decreased Kodo7-induced apoptosis. These results suggest that Kodo7 induces apoptotic cell death through increased methylation of histones leading to transcriptional repression.
Purpose: We make a qualitative analysis of whether Fusion SPECT/CT can find lesion's anatomical sites better than existing SPECT or not, and we want to show the usefulness of SPECT/CT through finding out effects of CT attenuation correction on SPECT images. Materials and Method: 1. The evaluation of fusion images: This study comprised patients who was tested $^{131}I$-MIBG, Bone, $^{111}In$-Octreotide, Meckel's diverticulum, Parathyroid MIBI with Precedence 16 or Symbia T2 from 2008 Jan to Aug. We compared SPECT/CT image with non fusion image and make a qualitative analysis. 2. The evaluation of attenuation correction: We classified 38 patients who was tested 201Tl myocardial exam with Symbia T2 into 5 sections by using Cedars Sinai' QPS program - Ant, Inf, Lat, Septum, Apex. And we showed each section's perfusion states by percentage. We compared the each section's perfusion-states differences between CT AC and Non AC by average${\pm}$standard deviation. Results: 1. The evaluation of fusion images : In high energy $^{131}I$ cases, it was hard to grasp exact anatomical lesions due to difference between regions and surrounding lesions' uptake level. After combining with CT, we could grabs anatomical lesion more exactly. And in meckel's diverticulum case or to find lesions around bowels or organs with $^{111}In$ cases, it demonstrates its superiority. Bone SPECT/CT images help to distinguish between disk spaces certainly and give correct results. 2. The evaluation of attenuation correction: There is no significant difference statistically in Ant and Lat (p>0.05), but there is a meaningful difference in Inferior, Apex and Septum (p<0.05). AC perfusion at inferior wall in the 5 sections of myocardium: The perfusion difference between Non AC perfusion image ($68.58{\pm}7.55$) and CT corrected perfusion image ($76.84{\pm}6.52$) was the largest by $8.26{\pm}4.95$ (p<0.01, t=10.29). Conclusion: Nuclear medicine physicians can identify not only molecular image which shows functional activity of lesions but also anatomical location information of lesions with more accuracy using the combination of SPECT and CT systems. Of course this combination helps nuclear medicine physician find out the abnormal parts. Moreover combined data sets help separate between normal group and abnormal group in complicated body part. So clinicians can carry out diagnosis and treatment planning at the same time with a single test image. In addition, when we examine a myocardium in thorax where attenuation can occur easily, we can trust perfusion more in a certain region in SPECT test because CT provides the capability for accurate attenuation correction. In these reasons, we think we can prove the justice after treatment fusion image.

This study was conducted to determine the content of 7 mycotoxins (aflatoxin $B_1$, $B_2$, $G_1$, $G_2$, $M_1$, ochratoxin A and zearalenone) using LC-MS/MS in pork available on the Korean markets. The analysis was carried out using following conditions; C18 column ($2.1{\times}100mm$, $1.7{\mu}m$), mobile phase composed of $H_2O$ (0.1 mM $NH_4Ac$ 0.01% HCOOH) : Methanol (0.1 mM $NH_4Ac$ 0.01% HCOOH), binary pump at a flow rate of 0.5 mL/min and $2{\mu}L$ of injection volume, MS/MS detector with ESI positive and negative mode. The quantication of mycotoxins was based on matrix-matched calibration curves with a correlation coefficient in excess of 0.99 for the 7 mycotoxins. The dectection limits were ranged 0.74~2.13 ng/g, with mean recoveries between 73.10~97.46% except aflatoxin $B_1$ (61.31%). We also monitored mycotoxin residues in 208 pork samples. The test results, mycotoxins were not found except one sample. Ochratoxin A in one sample of the test samples was detected below the quantification limit.
