  • A miniature size electrostatic induction motor have been constructed and studied by applying a three phase ac power source with a maximum voltage of 5 KV and a variable frequency ranged 0.0 - 150 Hz. A maximum no load speed of the motor tested was about 7600 RPM at the applied voltage of 4330 volt and the frequency of 130 Hz for the case of the rotor surface material of polyprophylene sheet screen-printed $TiO_2$ powder on it. It is found that there are 3 different regions of the motor operation, a rotor stop region, a stable operation region and a high speed abnormal region. And it is also found that the motor speed is influenced greatly by the charge relaxation time constant of the rotor surface materials, which however was changed by the means of vapour-deposited Ti or Ni and screen-printed $TiO_2$ powder on the surface of the rotor material, polyprophylene.

  • DC and small-signal ac characteristics are examined for a pulse-width modulated (PWM) dc-dc buck-boost converter with a peak voltage modulation (PVM) feedforward control. Circuit model is used to derive an expression for the output voltage in terms of the input voltage and load resistance. Small-signal circuit model is used to derive the input-to-output voltage transfer function (audiosusceptibility).

유니몰프 압전소자를 이용한 발전 판넬의 출력특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Output Characteristics for the Generation Panel using Unimorph Piezoelectric Element)

  • The ability for energy harvesting via the piezoelectric effect was studied for a unimorph element such as piezo buzzer. A simple equivalent circuit was proposed to predict the energy generated based on the internal stress. Unimorphs with a metal-cavity were used as a driving device of the generation panel. Both the AC open voltage and DC output voltage as a function of pressure period and number of element were measured. For the unimorph generation circuit, DC output voltage varies with pressure period, reaching a maximum value at $470{\mu}F$. The maximum output voltage a according to load resistance was measured at $1M{\Omega}$. Data analysis of the DC output voltage and time constant indicated that number of piezoelectric element of optimum was 60~80. It was found that piezoelectric unimorph has the possibility to be used as the driving element of the electric generation.

  • This paper proposes a grid-connected inverter using the negative conductance of PV power system, which has four IGBTs and simple controller. Most of modern electric loads generate the current harmonics and the line voltage distortion. The new solar-to-ac converter(STAC) provides by emulating a negative conductance load to the line voltage, so the current harmonics from STAC is canceled the effect of the harmonics from other loads. As a result, the line voltage distortion is decreased. The proposed system have low cost, small size, and light weight compared to conventional photovoltaic converter

  • 본 논문에서는 고정민 위치제어가 가능한 선형초음과 모터를 설계 및 제작하였다. 제안된 선형 초음파 모터의 발파장 진동자에 진계(Usinwt, Ucoswt)를 인가했을때 진동법의 불출부에서 발생하는 타원궤직은 이동자를 구동시킨다. 제작된 선형 초음파 모터의 면위궤적은 시뮬레이션 결과와 일치했으며, 압차력이 50 N일 때 이동자에서 발생하는 최대 힘은 9 N, 최대속도는 0.9 ㎧이고 20 N일 때 최대 힘은 2.4 N, 최대 속도는 0.38 ㎧의 특성을 나타냈다.

A Sliding Mode Control Design based on the Reaching Law for Matrix Rectifiers

  • This paper presents a novel approach for achieving both a tight DC voltage regulation and a power factor control by applying the Reaching Law Sliding Mode Control (RL-SMC) and the conventional Sliding Mode Control (SMC). Applying these strategies on a matrix rectifier (MR) can achieve a unity grid side power factor when the DC load changes widely and it can provide a ripple-free output voltage that is easily affected by distortions of the three-phase ac voltage supply. Furthermore, by employing the reaching law on the SMC can solve the chatting problem of the sliding motion. Comparative Matlab simulations and experimental verifications for these strategies have been presented and discussed in this paper. The results show that by applying the SMC and RL-SMC on a MR can achieve a unity grid side power factor and a regulated ripple-free DC output.

  • Energy markets of the Northeast Asia countries and in particular South Korea are perspective enough from the standpoint of export of energy resources from Russia. South Korea Power System has been rapidly growing. However, recently it has been confronted with difficulties in regard to constructing new Power Stations and especially Hydro Power Plants. Therefore it is mutually beneficial to build electric tie to South Korea in order to use highly effective Power of Northeast Asia. In this paper, we describe the maximum available transmission power through interconnected line without loss of stability in power system. For this simulation, the AC transmission system is assumed appropriate for this preliminary study. The transmission system will pass through territory of North Korea and connect to 765 kV Network near Seoul with long distance.

병실 냉.난방을 위한 초퍼와 PWM 전압형 인버터를 이용한 계통 연계형 태양광 발전시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Utility Interactive Photovoltaic System Using a Chopper and PWM Voltage Source Inverter for Air Conditioner a Clinic room)

  • 태양전지는 일사량, 온도와 부하에 의해 크게 변동하기 때문에 가능한 한 많은 에너지를 얻기 위해서는 태양전지의 출력을 항상 최대로 제어할 필요가 있다. 태양전지의 출력은 직류이므로 교류부하에 적용하기 위해서는 전력변환장치 중 인버터가 필수적이며 단위 역률을 갖는 정현파 전류 및 전압을 부하계통에 공급해 주어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 태양광 발전시스템을 승압 쵸퍼와 단상 PWM(Pulse Width Modultion) 전압형 인버터로 구성하였고, 안정된 변조를 위해서 동기신호와 제어신호를 원칩 마이크로프로세서에 의해서 처리하였다. 전력비교에 따라 시비율을 변화시키지만 태양전지는 전형적인 수하특성을 갖고 있어, 일사량과 온도변화에 관계없이 항상 최대 출력 점을 추적하도록 승압초퍼를 제어하였다. 단상 PWM 전압형 인버터는 태양전지가 연속 발전할 수 없는 단점을 보완하기 위해 일반 상용전원과 연계함으로써 약 $10{\sim}20%$ 전력절감효과를 얻을 수 있는 에너지절약 전원복합형 전력변환장치로 구성되어 있다. 단상 PWM 전압형 인버터와 위상동기를 위해서 계통전압을 검출하여 계통전압과 인버터 출력을 동상 운전하므로 잉여전력을 계통과 연계할 수 있게 하여 고 역률과 저고조파 출력을 유지 하므로써 부하와 계통에 전력이 안정하게 공급될 수 있도록 제어하였다.

  • A medical treatment of alternating current high-voltage electric field therapy is a method in which we get a healing effect, applying electric field to an organism through an artificial device. In order to estimate the clinical effects of alternating current high-voltage electric field load(HEALTHTRON) on the rehabilitation of stroke patients, improvement of a peripheral blood circulation, and psychogenic symptom, we used BEUNZEUNGHEYNG Instrument, NIHSS(the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale), FIM(Functional Independence Measure)lnstrument to research BEUNZEUNGHEYNG and recovery of rehabilitative funation. and also we used Thermography, Pulse Meter to measure body temperature and pulse, blood elements, and neuro modulators. We have reached the following conclusions after researching the clinical effects of alternating current high-voltage electric field therapy on the recovery of rehabilitative function and peripheral blood circulation. 1. HEALTHTRON efficiently has increased the volume of peripheral blood circulation in stroke patients. 2. HEALTHTRON rapidly has treated the symptoms of sleeplessness, alertness, and dizziness of stroke patients. 3. HEALTHTRON rapidly has improved rehabilitative function of stroke patients and the adjustment to their activities.

V2G-V2H 기능을 갖는 3.3kW급 전기자동차용 양방향 충전기 (A 3.3kW Bi-directional EV Charger with V2G and V2H function)

  • This paper proposes a 3.3-kW bi-directional EV charger with V2G and V2H functions. The bi-directional EV charger consists of a DC-DC converter and a DC-AC inverter. The proposed EV charger is suitable for wide battery voltage control due to the two-stage configuration of the DC-DC converter. By employing a fixed-frequency series loaded resonant converter as the isolated DC-DC converter, zero-current-switching can be achieved regardless of battery voltage variation, load variation, and power flow. A 3.3-kW prototype of the proposed EV charger has been built and verified with experiments, and indicates a maximum efficiency of 94.39% and rated efficiency of 94.23%.
