No one would deny that, despite the fact that they are the central factor in any given communication system, language signals have their limitations. For example, language cannot keep up with the radical changes that occur in the world and its ideas. The present meaning of a language signal is always pegged to the past when it was originally created. This limitation in turn puts limitations on the way we conceive of the world, and we have no choice but to watch the world through the refracted, darkly colored lens called language. Lee Sang′s was well aware of these limitations, and his works reflect his suspicion of language. This paper argues that Lee Sang′s "Ogamdo 1" is a poetic commentary on the ambiguity of language signals; that "Ogamdo 2" is an accusation of the stationary nature of language signals; ; and, finally, that "Sune-kwanhan-gakseo (Treatise on Lines) 7" is a poetic expression of Lee Sang′s negative view of the symbolic limitation of, and the fragmentary nature of, language signals.

미국의 양계산업은 한마디로 해서 산의 정상에 도달한 감이 있다. 즉 근년에 와서는 호당 사양규모는 증가하고 있으나 사양수수는 2억 7천만수를 전후하여 년도에 따라서 큰 변동이 없다. 계란소비량은 10년전만 해도 1인당 년간 350개정도 소비하였으나 차차로 감소하여 근년에 와서는 1인당 소비량이 270개로 감소하고 있는 현상을 볼 수 있다. (중략)

How to see nature and how to define the relation between nature and the human certainly influence fundamental attitude toward nature and any results derived from the attitude. Therefore, in order to figure out a way for how the humans and nature should coexist, the thesis has began a philosophical analysis on the origin of the biomimetics. Based on findings from the analysis, the thesis would work on the features of biomimicry space, presenting related possibilities. For the philosophical characteristic of the thesis which was an ecological world view, introduced at the end of mechanical world view era, the ideas of Spinoza, Nietzsche, Bergson and Deleuze about nature were quoted. Based on what the philosophers have said, the thesis looks into successful ideas, designs and ways of living that nature has shown by itself. After all, the purpose of the thesis is to investigate the constantly changing space of the biomimetics by organic forms, autonomous systems and dividing programs. Based on this, nine cases were analyzed to derive the characteristics. As a result, organic forms, autonomous systems and dividing programs characteristics of ecological appear simultaneously in harmony. Biomimicry space can coexist with nature and the human is an effective way.

SAR (Synthetic aperture radar) images are less affected by the weather compared to optical images and can be obtained at any time of the day. Therefore, SAR images are being actively utilized for military applications and natural disasters. However, because SAR data are in grayscale, it is difficult to perform visual analysis and to decipher details. In this study, we propose a color mapping method using RF (random forest) regression for enhancing the visual decipherability of SAR images. COSMO-SkyMed 2 and WorldView-3 images were obtained for the same area and RF regression was used to establish color configurations for performing color mapping. The results were compared with image fusion, a traditional color mapping method. The UIQI (universal image quality index), the SSIM (structural similarity) index, and CC (correlation coefficients) were used to evaluate the image quality. The color-mapped image based on the RF regression had a significantly higher quality than the images derived from the other methods. From the experimental result, the use of color mapping based on the RF regression for SAR images was confirmed.

The theory of post-heaven provided Korea's many emerging national religions with spiritual ground. The I Ching originated in China emphasizes the principles of change or static aspects of world, while Right I Ching, which Il-Bu Kim suggested, underlines dynamic aspects of world. Il-Bu Kim is perceived to open a new stage in the history of philosophy of I Ching in this regard. His most remarkable contribution is the view of Great Opening Era of Post-Heaven, according to which the clock of cosmos shows the era of great change from Pre-Heaven to Post-Heaven and in the world of Post-Heaven everything will take its proper place. As to human society, Il-Bu Kim foresaw the change from disharmony to harmony, imbalance to balance and era of xiaoren to that of junzi. The advent of such a new world, however, asks human's moral revolution as a prerequisite. In the tradition of East Asian thought, human is the center of the Samjae, Heaven-Earth-Human and the only being which could participate in the growth of Heaven and Earth. Without the change of human mind, however, human can neither participate in the growth of Heaven and Earth nor expect the right change of Heaven and Earth. Even though the world of nature changes according to the principle of cosmic harmony, as the Right I Ching predicts, the real change of Heaven and Earth can be achieved only with moral change of human. The human in the Right I Ching is a free man who sticks to nothing and communicates with cosmos with empty mind. This is the very image of perfect man(至人). The perfect man in the Right I Ching is the main agent of everything, that's to say, the main agent of the great opening to Post-Heaven Era. This is the reason why most leaders of Koran emerging religions concentrate on the change of human. In this regard, Jeung-San Kang encouraged people to become the perfect man through the purification of mind and body and the great opening of inner man, depending on the metaphysical principle of the Right I Ching. Cheok and Resolution of grievances for the mutual beneficence of all life are what he suggested as a method of the great opening of inner man. Such a view is based on the thought that the accumulated sinful behaviors are obstacles to cosmic change and the time of mutual beneficience opens with the removal of the obstacles. If such religious practices are so effective, as Jeung-San Kang says, that future world could consist of perfect men who have achived the great opening of inner man, moral change, and change of consciousness, we could expect that the activities of xiaoren will be shrinked and junzi will be welcomed, as the Right I Ching predicts.

We are so used to the concept of the term 'space' that we do not question its conceptual validity. However, this paper argues that the notion of space prevailing all over the world, is not a universal concept that can be applicable to all architectures of the world, but is a particular concept that is generated from the Western way of thinking. This paper alms to identify the conceptual structure of the idea of space as it is originated in the tradition of the West, and, as an alternative view of space, tries to identify the nature of the view of space perceived in the tradition of the Eastern architecture. Comparison of the two views, that of the East and the West, and their meaning in the future of architecture, is another task to discuss in this paper. To be able to clarify the meaning of space in East Asian tradition, a set of new perspective of understanding of space was invited. They are ; 1. sky-earth(天地); insisting that the notion of space should be replaced within the context of sky, which is one half of sky-earth totality 2. energy of the air (空氣), space is not empty part inside of a building, but is a dynamic condition of air that is a part of the sky which always exist in form of energy 3. place(자리): instead of space, which, basically. is a man-made concept, idea of place is necessary, which include not only space but also earth Such concept of space which is different from the notion of space of the West, is meaningful not only to identify the idea of space in the East, but also to be able to contribute for more dynamic, varied, and balanced understanding of space.

본 논문에서는 가상현실 기술로 전 세계를 도보 여행할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 가상 여행 콘텐츠에 대한 가상현실 이용자들의 관심이 높으나 기존의 가상 여행 콘텐츠는 체험할 수 있는 공간이 한정되어 있고 상호작용성이 부족한 문제가 있었다. 기존 콘텐츠의 단점인 현실감 부족과 제한된 공간의 문제를 해결하고자 본 시스템에서는 구글 스트리트 뷰 이미지를 사용하여 가상 공간을 생성하였으며 사용자는 실제 거리 이미지를 통해 현실적인 체험이 가능하고 구글 스트리트 뷰 이미지에서 제공하는 방대한 지역을 여행할 수 있다. 또한 가상공간 안에서 사용자의 상호작용성을 높이고 몰입감을 극대화 하기 위하여 가상현실 헤드셋과 트레드밀 장비를 사용하여 사용자가 실제로 도보를 하며 가상공간을 이동할 수 있도록 하였다. 실제 관광 명소에서 산길과 골목길까지 자연스러운 도보 여행이 가능한 본 시스템의 활용으로 사용자들의 여가 활동에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

For many applications particularly in navigation system, a three-dimensional representation improves the usability of information. This paper introduces 3D Graphical User Interface (GUI) of indoor location tracking system, 3D Navigation View. The application provides users a 3D visualization of the indoor environments they are exploring, synchronized with the physical world through spatial information obtained from indoor location tracking system. It adopts widely used Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) to construct, represent, distribute and render 3D world of indoor environments over Internet. Java, an all-purpose programming language is integrated to comprehend spatial information received from indoor location tracking system. Both are connected through an interface called External Authoring Interface (EAI) provided by VRML. Via EAI, Java is given the authority to access and manipulate the 3D objects inside the 3D world that facilitates the indication of user's position and viewpoint in the constructed virtual indoor environments periodically.

주관투영도는 데이터베이스 설계자가 추상화 단계에서 사용자의 불완전한 관점에서 발견되지 못한 속성(uncovered attributes)을 찾아내어 사용자의 모델에 맞는 데이터베이스를 설계한다. 이런 데이터베이스는 고유한 의미를 유지하고 논리적으로도 실세계를 보다 정확히 표현하는 좋은 구조를 갖는다. 또한 주관투영도를 활용하여 설계된 데이터베이스는 사용자들에게 적은 수의 사용자 프로젝션(Projection)으로 실세계를 기술할 수 있는 방법을 제시 한다.

세계 곳곳에서는 새로운 도시들이 계속 건설되고 있으며, 도시로 이주하는 사람들의 수 또한 급증하고 있다. 현재 약 54 퍼센트의 세계 인구가 도시에 살고 있으며, 2050년까지 66 퍼센트로 증가할 것으로 예측된다. 따라서 도시지역 관리는 전지구적 지속 가능한 발전에 있어 가장 중요한 과제 중 하나라고 볼 수 있다. 효과적인 도시지역 관리를 위해서는 도시 주민들에게 미학적, 정신적 그리고 보건적 혜택을 제공하는 도시 내 녹지지역의 유지관리가 핵심이다. 그러나 녹지지역의 경제적 가치 평가의 어려움으로 인해 사회에서는 이러한 녹지지역 혜택의 필요성을 충분히 인식하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 송도 센트럴 파크가 제공하는 미학적 혜택의 경제적 가치를 추정하기 위하여, 공원 조망이 주변 아파트 가격에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는지에 대해 헤도닉 가격 기법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 아파트 가격과 송도 센트럴 파크 조망 간에 양의 상관관계가 존재하며, 조망이 있는 아파트의 가격이 조망이 없는 아파트의 가격에 비해 5 퍼센트 정도 높은 것으로 추정되었다. 또한 송도 센트럴 파크와의 거리 또한 아파트 가격에 영향을 미치는 것으로 추정되었다.
