  • We synthesized a spirobenzofluorene type phosphine oxide (SPPO2) as a new triplet host and an universal electron transport material for phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes(PHOLEDs). Red PHOLEDs with the SPPO2 host material showed a high quantum efficiency of 14.3 % with a current efficiency of 20.4 cd/A. In addition, the SPPO2 could be applied as an electron transport material which can be matched with any host material due to the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital of 2.4 eV. Electron injection from a cathode to the SPPO2 electron transport layer was better than common electron transport materials. In particular, the SPPO2 was effective as the electron transport material in blue PHOLEDs and the quantum efficiency was more than doubled and driving voltage was lowered by more than 3 V using the SPPO2 instead of common electron transport material.

  • Fungi of the genus Tuber are ectomycorrhizal fungi that form a symbiotic relationship mainly with oak and hazel trees. Tuber spp. exhibit a highly selective host plant preference; thus, for cultivation purposes it is important to select an appropriate host plant for successful mycorrhization. In addition, as mycorrhizal characteristics differ according to Tuber spp., it is necessary to understand the differences in mycorrhizae according to the fungal species. Tuber huidongense and Tuber himalayense were recently discovered in Korea; therefore, we used spore suspensions from these two species to inoculate two species of oak trees, Quercus acutissima and Quercus dentata, to compare colonization rates and morphologies of the mycorrhizae. The colonization rates demonstrated that the different Tuber spp. favored different host plant species. In addition, unique morphological and anatomical characteristics were observed for T. huidongense and T. himalayense depending on the host species. These findings can lead to new economically important agricultural activities related to truffle cultivation in Korea.

  • In CDMA cellular system, inefficient Channel assignment for high-speed mobile host increase call blocking probability For it has been method proposed to guarantee QoS upon tn the speed of hierarchical cell that is allocated Queues and dedicated channels of high speed mobile host's speed. In this paper, We allocated the dedicated channel of high-speed handoff In FA (Foreign Agent), only if the receive signal strength of mobile host in current cell that there is low traffic in HA (Home Agent). also, we created new Circular queue LiFA (Limited Foreign Agent) for high-speed handoff call that signal strength is weak in certain FA, and had this High-speed handoff call to be ready for Life time to the new Circular queue LiFA. Thus improve the rate of the forced call termination.

  • Viruses continue to evolve a new strategy to take advantage of every aspect of host cells in order to maximize their survival. Due to their central roles in transducing a variety of transmembrane signals, GPCRs seem to be a prime target for viruses to pirate for their own use. Incorporation of GPCR functionality into the genome of herpesviruses has been demonstrated to be essential for pathogenesis of many herpesviruses-induced diseases. Here, we introduce US28 of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) as the best-studied example of virally-encoded GPCRs to manipulate host GPCR signaling. In this review, we wish to summarize a number of US28-related topics including its regulation of host signaling pathways, its constitutive internalization, its structural and functional analysis, its roles in HCMV biology and pathogenesis, its proliferative activities and role in oncogenesis, and pharmacological modulation of its biological activities. This review will aid in our understanding of how pathogenic viruses usurp the host GPCR signaling for successful viral infection. This kind of knowledge will enable us to build a better strategy to control viral infection by normalizing the virally-dysregulated host GPCR signaling.

  • Modern production systems are very complex by request of automation, and failure modes that occur in thisautomatic system are very various and complex. The efficient fault diagnosis for these complex systems is essential for productivity loss prevention and cost saving. Traditional fault diagnostic system which perforns sequential fault diagnosis can cause catastrophic failure during diagnosis when fault propagation is very fast. This paper describes the Real-time Intelligent Multiple Fault Diagnosis System (RIMFDS). RIMFDS assesses current machine condition by using sensor signals. This system deals with multiple fault diagnosis, comprising of two main parts. One is a personal computer for remote signal generation and transmission and the other is a host system for multiple fault diagnosis. The signal generator generates various faulty signals and image information and sends them to the host. The host has various modules and agents for efficient multiple fault diagnosis. A SUN workstation is used as a host for multiple fault modules and agents for efficient multiple fault diagnosis. A SUN workstation is used as a host for multiple fault diagnosis and graphic representation of the results. RIMFDS diagnoses multiple faults with fast fault propagation and complex physical phenomenon. The new system based on multiprocessing diagnoses by using Hierarchical Artificial Neural Network (HANN).

  • In the current Internet, IP addresses does not support Mobility and Multi-homming because it depend on their topological location. To resolve these problems, IETF hip WG introduces Host Identity Protocol that separates the endpoint identifier and locator roles of IP addresses. However the DNS that was presented for the HIP had only a part of the expansion design from the existing DNS function, so it was not an absolute complete method. This paper propose how the dymanic DNS has been designed so that it support the HIP completely. We added the Host Identity Namespace and the Rendezvous Server Namespace, defined the new PRs in DNS.

  • Virginia creeper (or five-leaved ivy; Parthenocissus quinquefolia) is one of the most popular and widely grown climbers worldwide. In September 2021, Virginia creeper leaves with typical rust symptom were found in an arboretum in Korea, with severe damage. Globally, there is no record of a rust disease on Virginia creeper. Using morphological investigation and molecular phylogenetic inferences, the rust agent was identified as Neophysopella vitis, which is a rust pathogen of other Parthenocissus spp. including Boston ivy (P. tricuspidata). Given that the two ivy plants, Virginia creeper and Boston ivy, have common habitats, especially on buildings and walls, throughout Korea, and that N. vitis is a ubiquitous rust species affecting Boston ivy in Korea, it is speculated that the host range of N. vitis may recently have expanded from Boston ivy to Virginia creeper. The present study reports a globally new rust disease on Virginia creeper, which could be a major threat to the ornamental creeper.

  • The Korean Boletoxenus known as fungivorous are taxonomically reviewed as two species including a new recorded species, Boletoxenus incurvatus (Lewis, 1894). And the host fungus of B. incurvatus is revealed through this study. Therefore, we provide the taxonomical information as well as the ecological information on the host fungi of the Korean Boletoxenus species.

  • While the advantages of multicast delivery over multiple unicast deliveries is undeniable, the deployment of the IP multicast protocol has been limited to network domains under single administrative control. Deployment of inter-domain multicast delivery has been slow due to both technical and administrative reasons. For this reasons overlay multicasting technologies are recently proposed. We propose a End-Host Multicast Tree Protocol (EMTP) that searches two levels of the tree at a time until reaching to a leaf node and can select the nearest node that a new node try to join in the tree. Even if there is no available degree of the desirable node that a new node want to join, selecting the node as a potential parent by EMTP can reduce the number of tree switching with robustness of the tree and bring to ruduce the data delivery time.
