Web Expert System for Nutrition Counseling and Menu Management

  • This study was conducted to develop a web expert system for nutrition counseling and menu management. This program manipulates a food, dish and menu and search database that has been developed. Clients can select a recommended general and therapeutic menu using this system. The web expert system can analyze nutrients in menus and compare nutrient contents of menus with Korean Recommended Dietary Allowances. It can access the food, dish and menu database. The expert menu database can insert, store and generate the synthetic information of age, sex, and therapeutic purpose of disease. With investigation and analysis of the client's needs, the menu planning program on the internet has been continuously developed. This system consists of the database that reaches to the food composition, the dishes and the menu. Clients can search food composition and conditional food based on nutrient name and amounts. This system is able to draw up the food with its order in dish. The menu planning can be organized and nutrients analysis can be compared with Korea Recommended Allowance. This system is able to read the nutrient composition of the each food, the dish and the menu. The results of analysis is presented quickly and accurately. Therefore it can be used by not only usual people but also dietitians and nutritionists who take charge of making a menu and experts in the field of food and nutrition. It is expected that the web expert system can be useful of nutrition education, nutrition counseling and expert menu management.

인터넷에서 행동 수정 이론을 적용한 체중 감량 상담 방법 개발 (Development of Nutritional Counseling for Weight Reduction based on behavior modification through Internet)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop an internet nutritional counseling program using an expert system to assist obese people to lose weight through behavior modification. The internet counseling program for weight loss was developed by the accumulation of knowledge dealing with eating habits and exercising behaviors in expert system tool, Knowledge Engineering Agent (KEA) by a dietitian without any help of computer expert. To accumulate knowledge into KEA, survey was performed in 150 obese people, dietitians reviewed and consulted each survey case, and the consulted contents were learned and accumulated into KEA. Survey questionnaire was the same as that of the internet consulting program, and it included general characteristics, dietary habits, lifestyle, and exercise patterns related to obesity. Also, the dietitian selected proper factors inferred from the survey questionnaire of each case, and added the conclusions for them. Conclusions were made for helping clients to correct bad eating behaviors and accumulate good behaviors to lose weight. Counseling was divided into two parts; a two-week part and a daily part. Two-week counseling was performed based on 4 step questionnaires, and daily counseling was done for daily food consumption and physical activity. When clients answered survey questionnaires in a counseling internet program, the recommendations on how to eat, to exercise and to deal with stress in a real time for each case, was given. In conclusion, a counseling internet program for weight reduction can be used to give advices how to deal with obesity in a man-to-man way in a real time using KEA where nutritional knowledge based on behavior modification for weight loss was accumulated.

  • Many people including teachers and students' parents must assist each student who will be a hero of future to develop their potential abilities and acquire various skills. Counseling is a fundamental thing to achieve this goal. But, in reality, it is usually difficult to do counseling which makes it possible to establish desirable self-view and world view expertly and systema tically because of burdensome task of teachers, spatial and time limit and students' extracurri cular activities. Taking advantages of computer networking, this research was designed to solve various problematic situations we can usually face with in school and home, to reduce limitations among three parties: teachers, parents and students, and to keep record continuously on the process and contents of counseling. And, also, this research is focused to web-based counseling network that makes possible to build database system easily adapts to specialty of each schools. Web based counseling system will provide these advantages: 1. Through analyzing and editing which will be done by expert In of accumulated database, to realize more systematic and expert database will be possible. 2. Owing to the physical characteristic of cyber space, counseling will be done any time and anywhere the computer is. 3. Because it is possible to minimize social limitations on physical condition, communication channel and anonymity of cyber space, counseling will be relatively easy to perform. 4. The contents of counseling will be automatically recorded on the database.

NutriSonic web expert system for meal management and nutrition counseling with nutrient time-series analysis, e-food exchange and easy data transition

  • This study was conducted to develop the NutriSonic Web Expert System for Meal Management and Nutrition Counseling with Analysis of User's Nutritive Changes of selected days and food exchange information with easy data transition. This program manipulates a food, menu and meal and search database that has been developed. Also, the system provides a function to check the user's nutritive change of selected days. Users can select a recommended general and therapeutic menu using this system. NutriSonic can analyze nutrients and e-food exchange ("e" means the food exchange data base calculated by a computer program) in menus and meals. The expert can insert and store a meal database and generate the synthetic information of age, sex and therapeutic purpose of disease. With investigation and analysis of the user's needs, the meal planning program on the internet has been continuously developed. Users are able to follow up their nutritive changes with nutrient information and ratio of 3 major energy nutrients. Also, users can download another data format like Excel files (.xls) for analysis and verify their nutrient time-series analysis. The results of analysis are presented quickly and accurately. Therefore it can be used by not only usual people, but also by dietitians and nutritionists who take charge of making a menu and experts in the field of food and nutrition. It is expected that the NutriSonic Web Expert System can be useful for nutrition education, nutrition counseling and expert meal management.

아동상담자의 변화에 관한 질적 연구 (A qualitative study of process of the child counselor's change)

  • The purposes of this study are to search for counselor's change process and factors in Theraplay, and to explore how they are changed into experts. This study used a method of qualitative study to reveal a concrete context of child counseling. The results are as follows. Therapist or counselor subjects realized that therapy(counseling) was not focusing on activities, but on meanings. In the beginning, therapist subjects acted according to the situation rather than according to the child's reactions and their own strategy. It was expressed into long and boring explanations, trials to flatter a child. Therapist subjects were often depressed because of their incompetence, they even did overpraise for the undistinguished behavior of children, but gradually they have changed into expert therapists through ceaseless interaction with Theraplay community, reflection, trial and practice.

전문가 시스템을 이용한 인터넷 체중 감량 상담 프로그램 개발 (Development of Nutritional Counseling Internet Program for Weight Reduction Using Expert System)

  • 본 연구에서는 인터넷상에서 일반 대중들이 행동 수정 방법을 통해 올바른 식습관을 비롯한 생활 습관을 가짐으로 체중 감량을 통해 정상적인 체중을 장기간 유지할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 전문가 시스템 툴인 KEA를 사용하여 실시간 상담을 해줄 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 전문가 시스템인 KEA는 MCRDR 이론을 사용하여 특정 분야의 전문가가 전문가 시스템에 관한 전문지식 없이도 시스템을 직접 구축 운용할 수 있는 환경을 구축하여 지식의 전문가가 직접 지식데이터 베이스를 구축하고 유지.보수하여 저렴한 비용으로 장기간 운영이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 처음에 KEA로 상담할 수 있도록 지식을 학습시키기 위하여 체중 감량에 관련된 설문지를 작성하여 과체중 또는 비만한 사람 150명을 대상으로 설문을 받아 전문 영양사가 이에 대한 상담을 하고 이것을 KEA에 학습시켰다. 설문지는 인터넷 상담 프로그램과 같은 설문지를 사용하여 각 대상으 비만의 원인, 식습관, 생활습관, 운동 습관을 조사하였다. 체중 감량 상담은 행동 수정 이론을 적용하여 내담자가 스스로 잘못된 식습관 및 생활습관을 수정함으로써 점차 체중을 감량하여 평생 적절한 체중을 유지할 수 있는 방법을 터득할 수 있도록 상담하는 것을 원칙으로 하였다. 지식을 KEA에 학습시키는 방법은 조사한 설문을 바탕으로 case에서 적절한 항목값으로 추출하고 KEA에 지식을 만들기 위한 조건으로 추가한 후 이러한 조건에 맞는 상담 결론을 선택하고 추가하는 방식으로 KEA에 학습시켰다. 이 프로그램은 인터넷을 통해 일반인이 사용할 수 있도록 인터페이스를 만들었고 사용자가 프로그램에 들어가서 실시간으로 전문가의 상담을 받을 수 있다. 사용자가 인터넷 체중감량 상담 프로그램을 사용하기 위하여 화면에 있는 설문에 답을 기입하면 이미 축적된 KEA의 지식으로 실시간으로 상담의 결론을 내려주었다. 만약 사용자의 상황이 KEA에 축적되어 있는 지식으로 결론을 내릴 수 없으면 '결론없음'이라는 말이 뜨게 되고 이때는 전문가각 직접 이 상담 case를 분석하여 KEA에 지식을 축적시켜 점차 KEA의 지식을 확충시켰다. 결론적으로 전문가 시스템인 KEA를 이용하여 체중 감량의 원칙을 행동 수정 방법에 따라서 사용자의 개인에 맞는 방법을 체중 감량을 할 수 있도록 전문가가 일대일로 실시간으로 상담할 수 있도록 하여 건강하게 체중 감량을 할 수 있도록 하였다.

가상현실을 활용한 병영상담 실습교육 효과 연구 (A Study on the Effectiveness of Military Counseling Practice Education using Virtual Reality)

  • 본 연구는 군(軍)에서 적용하고 있는 병영상담교육의 현실태를 살펴보고 가상현실을 활용한 병영상담 실습교육의 효과를 연구하였다. 먼저 상담에 관련한 가상현실 적용사례를 탐색하고 육군 병영상담교육에 벤치마킹(Benchmarking)할 수 있는 가상현실 기술을 검토하여 적용이 가능한 기술에 대해 고찰하였으며 교육생을 대상으로 교육방법과 교육과정을 분류하여 현 교육의 만족도 측정을 통해 통계적 분석방법인 분산분석을 사용하여 차이를 검정하였다. 또한 가상현실 콘텐츠를 교육생에게 실제 경험하게 한 후 가상현실 기술이 적용된 실습교육효과를 도출하고 현재 실습교육과 차이를 T 검정으로 비교 분석하였다. 이어 전반적인 상황을 고려할 수 있는 전문가 집단을 대상으로 계층적 분석기법을 활용하여 가상현실을 활용한 실습교육의 효과에 대해 분석하여 연구의 신뢰성을 높였다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 가상현실 기술이 접목된 병영상담실습교육의 발전방안과 현(現) 병영상담교육의 보완사항을 정책적 시사점으로 제시하였다.

가족상담사의 전문직 정체성 및 발달 연구: 근거이론접근을 중심으로 (A study on professional identity and development in family counselors - Focusing on grounded theory approach -)

  • Objectives: This study is designed to explore and understand what professional identity and professional development are like in family counselors. Method: This study to achieve its purpose, collected data through in-depth interview with fifteen(15) family counselors through grounded theory approach. Results: Major research findings can be summarized as follows. 176 concepts were drawn through open coding, again classified into 47 categories and finally into 18 subcategories. Through selective coding, 'growing as an expert in family counseling through continuous exertions for growth' appeared as core category. Through this process, the types of professional development in family counselors were classified into job pursuing type, self achieving type, self understanding type, and volunteering type. Through process analysis, family counselors' professional development could be divided into three steps with the course of time: step of immersion, self-understanding and acceptance, and integration. Based on this, the hypothetical relations in four areas: personal area, family area, interpersonal area, and vocational area were summarized in statements. Conclusion: This study is significant in that it attempted to establish a theory to explain the professional identity, development and influence factors shown in family counselors. It also provides those who hope to grow as expert in family counseling with long-term visions and implications for family counselor training and supervision. In this study, the suggestions on the tasks to check and solve the factors for improving and supporting the foundations of family counselors' professional identities by highlighting the family counselors own identify that is different from other counselors are expected to be used as primary data for preparing laws and regulations related to family counseling in the future.

HIV/AIDS 상담간호사를 위한 교육 프로그램의 개발과 적용 (Development and Operation of an Education Program for HIV/AIDS Counseling Nurses)

  • Purpose: This aim of the present study was to assess a newly developed education program for HIV/AIDS counseling nurses. Methods: An education program was developed based on literature reviews, previous project analysis, focus group interview and expert meetings. The program comprised of 3 levels: basic, advanced, and intensive, which included 80, 70, and 60 hours of education, respectively. From May to December in 2012, 17 counseling nurses completed the program and we evaluated their learning achievements, attitudes towards AIDS, confidence in consultation, empathic ability, and training sessions. We also measured the nurses' satisfaction with the program before and after completion. Results: After completing a monthly education program lasting 12-15 hours, the nurses' mean learning achievement was 88.5%, 88.3% and 91.4% out of the basic, advanced, and intensive levels, respectively. Although the nurses' attitudes towards AIDS did not change, their confidence and empathic abilities increased following the basic and intensive components of the programs. Satisfaction with the educational sessions and program operation was 4.23 out of 5.0. Conclusion: This newly developed education program for HIV/AIDS counseling nurses promoted learning achievements as well as, confidence and empathic ability in consultation. HIV/AIDS counseling nurses should receive continuous education opportunities to enhance their potential.

정신건강사회복지 전문가의 비대면 정신건강 모바일 서비스 플랫폼 개발 및 상담 경험에 관한 자문화기술지 (An autoethnography on the Development and counseling Experience of Non-face-to-face Mental Health Mobile Service Platform of Mental Health Social Welfare expert)

  • 본 연구는 연구자가 정신건강사회복지 전문가로서 신개념의 전문적인 정신건강 모바일 서비스 플랫폼을 개발하고 상용화시켜 새로운 도전을 하기까지의 전 과정에서의 실제경험을 질적연구방법인 자문화기술지를 통해 자료를 수집하고 분석한 연구이다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리나라 국민들 중에는 정신건강 이슈에 직접 노출되어 전문적인 의료서비스를 받아야 하는 사람들도 있으나 치료적 개입 수준을 요하지는 않지만 일반적인 정신건강 서비스에 대한 욕구를 가진 대중들 또한 상당히 많다는 것이다. 둘째, 현대사회의 특성을 고려하고 특히 코로나-19와 같은 감염병 팬더믹 상황에서 모바일을 활용한 다양한 정신건강 서비스 플랫폼을 선호하는 대중들이 많아 지고 있다는 것이다. 셋째, 전 세대에서 가족문제, 스트레스, 대인관계, 직업 등에서의 정신건강 관련 이슈들을 많이 호소하고 있고 이와 같은 문제들이 우울이나 불안, 중독 및 외상후스트레스장애 등의 정신병리와 연관되어 자해나 자살사고와 같은 또 다른 정신건강 문제들과 잣은 빈도로 언급되고 있다는 것이다. 넷째, 청소년들이 다양한 정신건강관련 이슈들에 노출되어 있다는 것과 무엇보다 자해 및 자살사고와 같은 심각한 정신건강 문제들을 호소하고 있었다. 다섯째, 전문적인 정신건강 서비스를 전달하는데 있어 모바일 기기를 통한 온라인에서의 서비스 제공과 오프라인에서의 서비스 제공이 가능한 역량을 갖춘 정신건강전문가들이 필요하다는 것이다. 마지막으로 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 정신건강서비스 제공과 관련한 정책 및 실천적 제언과 후속 연구에 대한 방향성을 제언하였다.
