갯닦기 전후의 해중림초의 해조상과 시험 부착판에서의 해조류 초기 천이 (Changes in Marine Algal Flora settled on the Artificial Seaweed Reefs Before and After Rocky Cleaning and the Early Succession of the Seaweeds attached to the Test Panels)

  • The marine algal flora assemblages settled on the artificial seaweed reefs in Jeju-do before and after rocky cleaning were investigated during summer and the early succession of seaweeds attached to the test panels on the structures of the artificial reef after rocky cleaning were observed by visual observations and under the dissecting microscope in order to evaluate the effects of this rocky cleaning operation. Species composition and algal biomass on the Bboolsamgak-typed seaweed artificial reefs before and after rocky cleaning were measured and compared before and after rocky cleaning. Before rocky cleaning in July 2012, only nine algal species had existed on the Bboolsamgak-typed seaweed artificial reefs, however, twenty algal species occurred on the seaweed artificial reefs after rocky cleaning in July 2013. Particularly, 15 species among them in July 2013 were not found in July 2012 and they seemed to occur newly on the artificial reefs. A large quantity of algal biomass increased in July 2013 after rocky cleaning. Based on the importance value, there was a drastic change in the dominant species between July 2012 and July 2013 after rocky cleaning. By dissecting micrographs, an epiphytic diatom, Licmophora sp. and flagellates, were observed on the 9th day. A chlorophyte, Ulothrix flacca was observed after 14 days, Ulva pertusa, Bryopsis pulmosa, crustose coralline algae, and Cladophora spp. were after one month. After two months, a significant species succession was observed from three previous chlorophyte species to crustose coralline algae existed as a dominant species on the panels. In this study, however, any brown algae were not found until three months in the early seaweed succession. All above results indicates that the rocky cleaning is a very efficient method for the establishment of macroalgal assemblages on the artificial reefs.

AHP 기법을 이용한 바다목장화사업 성공요인에 대한 비교평가연구 (The Comparative Evaluations of the Factor Weights for a Successful Sea-ranching Project based on AHP)

  • This study is to estimate the factor weights for a successful sea-ranching project using the Analytical Hierarchy Process. Furthermore, it investigates the policy implications revealed by the differences in group opinions throughout fishermen, government officials, researchers and the scholars when the weights are assessed. The hierarchy is constructed for the 3 levels of factors which must be evaluated for a successful sea-ranching project. The top level of factors is divided by the ecological factors and the socioeconomic factors. As the middle level of factors, there are 3 factors such as the choice of fish, the habitat environment and the production technology under the ecological factors and another 3 factors such as the stability of fishery society, economic factors, and the law & system under the socio-economic factors. And then, at the bottom level of the hierarchy, the economic factors have two different sub-factors such as the fishing revenue and cost. The law & system has also 3 sub-factors such as the accessibility to sea-ranching area, fishing method, and surveillance. The fishermen and government officials show us quite opposite tendencies in assessments of the weights while both the researchers and scholars reveal almost the same opinions positioned at somewhere between first two groups. The study also reports the evaluations of efficiency measures for resource recovery methods among the sea-ranching project, artificial reef, release of fish seeds, and marine protection area. Both the sea-ranching project and marine protection area have the same efficiency in terms of resource recovery while the artificial reef and release of fish seeds are revealed as somewhat less efficient methods comparing to the former two methods.

울진바다목장에서 자망으로 어획된 수산자원의 종조성과 계절변동 (Seasonal Variations in the Species Composition of Fisheries Resources Caught by Trammel Net in the Uljin Marine Ranching Area, East Sea)

  • Variations in the species composition, biomass and size distribution of fisheries resources in the Uljin marine ranching area were investigated using trammel nets at two stations (artificial reef and natural rocky area) from 2009 to 2010. During the survey, a total of 74 species were sampled with a mean density of 132 ind./net and mean biomass of 21.56 kg/net. In the natural rocky area, a total of 45 species were sampled at a mean density of 202 ind./net and mean biomass of 28.81 kg/net, while in the artificial reef area, samples included a total of 56 species, with means of 62 ind./net and 14.30 kg/net. The dominant species, comprising over 3% of the total number of individuals, were Suberites ficus (30.8%), Ovalipes punctatus (19.2%), Paralichthys olivaceus (11.7%), Pleuronectes herzensteini (4.7%), Kareius bicoloratus (3.5%), Pseudopleuronectes yokohamae (3.5%) and Eopsetta grigorjewi (3.0%). The dominant species, in terms of biomass, comprising over 5% of the total biomass, were P. olivaceus (22.1%), S. ficus (18.7%), O. punctatus (7.2%), Hexagrammos otakii (6.6%), P. yokohamae (5.7%), K. bicoloratus and P. herzensteini (5.3%). A cluster analysis and non-metric multidimensional scaling (nMDS) analysis based on the Bray-Curtis similarity of fourth root transformed data for number of species and individuals, was divided into two groups: the artificial reef area (group A) and the natural rocky area (group B).

Early Stage of Algal Succession on Artificial Reefs at Muronohana, Ikata, Japan

  • Different substrata fixed as the roof (for shadow) on artificial iron reef had been developed as a tool for valuable fishery resources. The experiment was set up on a sandy bottom substratum at 8m depth in Muronohana, Ikata, Japan. Within one month of placement of the plates, diatoms dominated the experimental plates with a coverage of $100\%$ approximately. Enteromorpha intestinalis and Colpomenia sinuosa dominated within three months after the placement. E. intestinalis coverage on substrata was estimated $7\%$ on the plate shaped iron bar, $12-14\%$ on concrete plates, $18\%$ on the plate fixed pebble, $61\%$ on the plate to accumulated wood, and 80-100% on the steel materials plate. Whereas after four months of placement, C. sinuosa coverage on plates became $1-36\%$ on different plates, and $100\%$ on the plate to accumulated wood. The differences in E. intestinalis and C. sinuosa colonization on the different substrata were probably due to variations in their surface roughness influencing the settlement of zoospores, and thus gametophyte. development. After five months of placement, the above two species slowly disappeared.

자란만의 해저지형 및 인공어초의 분포 조사 연구 (Research on the geographic characteristics of the sea bed and the distribution of artificial reefs in Saran Bay)

  • 연안어장의 해저지형을 조사하기 위한 정밀음향측심시스템은 Public-DGPS 수신기. 싱글빔 음향측심기 및 측량용 소프트웨어로 구성하였으며, 그 유용성을 확인하기 위하여 정치망어장의 해저지형 특성 및 투입된 인공어초의 분포를 조사하였고 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 본 연구에서 사용한 public-DGPS 수신기의 위치측정오차는 DGPS 모드일 때와 GPS 모드일 때 각각 5.47 m, 7.03 m이었다. 2. 실험정치망어장의 수심은 9~10 m이었고 해저는 대체로 평탄하였으며 이 어장으로부터 남쪽으로 120 m 떨어진 곳에 깊이 1~2 m, 폭 10 m내외의 골이 존재하였다. 3. 자란만 부근의 인공어초 수역에는 20개의 사각형 어초 (L3$\times$W3$\times$H3 m)가 수심 15~25 m에 낱개로 투입되어 있었고, 이 인공어초군의 가까이에 높이 5~8 m의 자연초가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 4. 본 연구에서 구현한 정밀음향측심시스템은 인공어초사업의 적지선정을 위한 사전조사에 활용할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

제주바다목장 해역 내 인공 어초군에 서식하는 어류군집의 종조성 및 계절변동 (Seasonal variation and species composition of fishes communities in artificial reef unit at marine ranching area in the coastal waters off Jeju island, Korea)

  • This study monitored a variety of marine fish communities in artificial reefs unit of the total 5 types (Dice type, Octagonal turtle type, Two-stage tube type, Gazebo type, Tetrapod type) which are located in the marine ranching at Jeju island by scuba diving in May, July, October and December 2009. Underwater photographing was accomplished at total 3 phases (condition of artificial reefs photographing, concentric circle movement photographing and line transect photographing). The preservation condition of artificial reefs facility was very good, and the dominant species were Chromis notatus, Sebastes thompsoni, Oplegnathus fasciatus and Halichoeres poecilopterus. Fish abundance was high in May and June, and low in October and December, 2009. Chromis notatus was dominant at the all types of artificial reefs, Halichoeres poecilopterus for Gazebo type and Tetrapod type of artificial reefs, and Sebastes thompsoni for Dice type, Octagonal turtle type and Two-stage tube type of artificial reefs.

어초의 형태와 어군의 위집에 관한 연구 (STUDIES ON THE SHAPE OF FISH REEFS AND THE THRONGING OF FISH SCHOOLS)

  • 서귀포 연안에 인공어초를 설치하여 어군의 형태와 어군의 위집에 관한 연구에서 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 어초설치 해역의 15.28cm/sec였고 유향은 WSW가 $20.5\%$에 대한 취송류는 최고유속이 15.28cm/sec 유향은 WSW가 $20.5\%$였다. 2. 흐름과 파에 의한 원형수하형어초의 유체저항은 약 890kg이 최대였고, 어초에 부착된 멍의 중량은 1,200kg로서 고정력이 충분하였다. 3. 파라슈트어초에 대한 최대저항은 전개용 자료가 약하여 유지되지 못하였다. 4. 제주도 근해산 중요어류 53종중 인공어초에 위집한 어종은 16종이었고 어획조성비는 참돔 $23\%, 볼라 $13\%, 보리멸 $11\%$, 우럭볼락 $7\%$, 주치 $6\%$이고 잠수관찰에서 어초의 중층부에 많은 치어가 위집된 것을 확인하였다.

인공어초지역에 대한 사이드스캔소나와 SBP 탐사 자료처리 (Processing of Side Scan Sonar and SBP Data for the Artificial Reef Area)

  • 사이드스캔소나(Side Scan Sonar)와 SBP (Sub-bottom Profiler)는 최근 해양탐사 기술의 발전과 더불어 수중과 해저면, 그리고 해저면 하부에 대한 정보가 필요한 분야에 많이 활용되어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 사각형 인공어초가 해저면에 분포하는 지역을 대상으로 사이드스캔소나와 SBP를 이용하여 자료를 취득하였다. 취득된 사이드스캔소나 자료에 대하여 디지털 영상처리 기법인 공간영역과 주파수영역에서의 각종 필터링을 적용하여 필터링의 종류와 매개변수에 따른 특징 및 영상분석을 시도하였다. SBP 자료는 이득회수, 디콘볼루션, 스펙트럼 분석, 뮤팅, 구조보정 등의 탄성파 자료처리과정을 거친 후 단면도를 구하였으며, 또한 통계적 특징에 기인한 평균값과 중앙값을 이용한 영상처리 과정을 거쳐 지층의 연속성 향상을 도모하였다. 사이드스캔소나와 SBP 두 가지 자료를 함께 시각화하는 방법을 이용하여 인공어초의 상태 및 구조물의 침하여부를 보다 쉽게 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 샘플링된 해저퇴적물 시료분석 결과와 사이드스캔소나의 Texture Filtering 적용결과, 그리고 천부지층결과의 연계해석을 통해 지층 상부퇴적물의 종류와 분포 및 두께를 파악할 수 있었다.

소파블록과 인공어초 주위의 유동 해석을 위한 PIV 적용 (PIV Applications for Flow Analysis of Tetrapod and Artificial Reef)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 유체역학 유동장 해석분야에서 각광을 받고 있는 PIV 해석기술을 이용하여 소파블럭과 인공어초 주위의 유동을 실험적으로 분석하였다. 실험에 사용된 소파블럭은 현재 현장에서 널리 채택, 운용되는 삼각뿔 tetrapod를 이용하였고 인공어초로는 원통형인 흄관어초 모형을 이용하였다. 유동장 촬영은 소형 회류수조와 아르곤 레이저, 고속 카메라 등을 이용하였다. 최종적으로 영상정보를 이용하여 PIV 해석을 실시, 실험 대상 물체 주위의 경계층(Boundary layer)영역, 박리 현상 등의 유동 특성을 조사하였다.
