취학 전 자녀에 대한 부모의 유아복 소비가치에 관한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on the Consumption Value of Preschooler Clothing by Mothers)

  • Due to the growth of the preschooler clothing industry, significant research has been conducted on the pursued benefits, purchase behavior, and purchase intension related to preschooler clothing; however, reports on the consumption value of preschooler clothing remain limited. This study provides a consumption value for preschooler clothing through qualitative research. A total of 15 mothers of preschoolers aged 1-6 years old were interviewed on the consumption value of preschooler clothing. The subsequent consumption value of preschooler clothing consisted of 9 major factors (vicarious satisfaction value, social display/image value, safety value, convenient value, economic value, distinguishable value, expressive-aesthetic value, fashionable value and conditional value). In addition, the vicarious satisfaction value, social display/image value, safety value, and convenient value were new-expressed values that differed from previous reports on the consumption value of adult clothing.

Applying design thinking to the educational problems: A student-centered instructional approach and practice in an undergraduate course

  • The aim of this study is to provide the values and descriptive implications of the Design Thinking (DT) method into the context of educational problems of practice in an undergraduate course. To achieve the research objective, both quantitative and qualitative studies were conducted. For the qualitative study, the student's productions and reflections on the experience of the application of the DT into educational problems were analyzed. For the quantitative research, one-group pre and post-test were designed to validate the effectiveness of the DT method into educational contexts in terms of creativity level to measure the student's Creativity Potential and Practiced Creativity, Academic Self-Efficacy Scale, and Problem-Solving Inventory. This study validated that the DT method had a statistically significant influence on those three competencies and also illustrated the detailed process from a qualitative viewpoint. The results and implications reflect the potential of the DT approach with the educational problem of practice, especially, in the ill-structured problem-solving contexts for student-centered instructional setting.

  • 인적자원관리 (HRM)는 조직 내 구성원과 관련된 복잡한 현상과 인간관계의 다원성을 다룬다. 이러한 이유에서 정량적인 접근방법을 적용한 HRM의 연구에서는 분석의 대상과 영역이 필연적으로 제한적일 수 밖에 없다. 기업의 HRM이 포괄하는 다양한 영역 가운데 정성적인 영역이 기업의 성과와 경쟁우위를 실질적으로 좌우하는 경우가 많다. 그러나 기존의 정량적인 시각을 통한 접근은 HRM의 정성적인 측면을 등한시 해온 경향성을 보여주었다. 점차 복잡해지고 있는 HRM과 관련된 연구의 현실에서 정량적인 접근방법에 의한 연구방법은 본질적인 차원에서 그 한계를 배태하고 있다. 이러한 의미에서 본 연구는 HRM과 관련된 선행 연구를 바탕으로 질적인 방법을 적용하기 위한 주요 논점의 제시를 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 HRM 연구가 직면하고 있는 현실에서 정성적인 접근방법의 필요성을 강조하였다. 또한 HRM 연구의 다차원적인 발전을 위해 사례연구 방법의 적용을 제안함으로써 관련 연구 주제의 복잡성에 대응하고 심층적인 이해의 확대 가능성을 제시하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 이분적 암반분류 방법 보다 일반적인 다분적 암반분류 방법의 응용에 관해 연구하였다. 특히, 정성적 데이타를 체계적으로 이용할 수 있는 방법이 모색되었다. 응용 예를 통해 Bieniawski의 암반평가 시스템 (rock mass rating system, RMR)과 같이 암반을 두개 이상의 다등급으로 분류할 경우 본 논문에 제시된 방법이 효과적으로 사용될 수 있고 체계적인 암반조사를 위해 크게 기여할 것으로 생각된다. 또한, 오차에 대응하는 비용(cost of errors)의 기대값이 암반조사를 위한 시추 방법이 잘 계획되었는지에 관한 평가척도로 이용될 수 있음을 알았다.

디스플레이 산업의 직무기술요소에 대한 정성적 훈련수요 분석 연구 (A Qualitative Analytic Study on Job Skill Elements and its Training Demand of the Display Industry)

  • 기존의 과부족인원 중심의 정량적 분석을 위주로 하는 직업훈련 수요연구에서는 직무능력의 질적 불일치에 대한 문제점이 존재한다. 이에 대한 보완적 연구로써 특정한 산업과 관련한 직종 내 직무기술에 대한 정성적 분석을 통해 직업훈련 프로그램에 대한 개선논의가 필요하다. 본 연구는 디스플레이 산업을 대상으로 직종별 직무기술요소의 상대적 중요도와 격차를 이용한 시급성 분석결과를 제시하고, 이를 기반으로 정성적 상향식 훈련 프로그램의 설계 가능성을 논의하고자 한다. 연구 수행방법으로는 디스플레이 산업에 특화된 직무기술요소 수요조사를 수행하였으며, 직종과 직무, 그리고 각 직무기술요소의 정성적 수요를 분석하여 8개의 직종과 29개 세부직무별 직무기술요소들에 대해서 인력수준별로 제시하였다. 또한 기업의 직무기술의 확보방법을 분석하고 지역의 대표적 교육과정과 연계를 예시함으로써 직업훈련 프로그램의 적정한 공급 방안을 찾고자 하였다.

영국과 한국의 건강도시 사업 평가방법 비교 연구: 리버풀과 원주시를 중심으로 (A Comparative Study of Healthy City Project Evaluation in U.K. and Korea: Focusing on Liverpool City and Wonju City)

  • Objectives: This study was to compare two healthy cities, Liverpool in England and Wonju in Korea, which evaluated healthy city projects and to reorient evaluation strategy which fits into Korean Healthy cities. Methods: Comparatives analysis was used by reviewing documents, healthy city plan and evaluation report, of two cities. Results: Healthy city projects in two cities, fifteen programs were identical items among twenty-seven but there were differences in seven items for Liverpool and five items for Wonju. In Liverpool evaluation was done by a stakeholder group called Liverpool Local Involvement Network(LINK), while in Wonju by Yonsei Healthy City Research Center. The evaluation tool was two types; quantitative and qualitative analysis. Liverpool mostly used qualitative and added quantitative, vice versa in Wonju. Conclusions: Evaluation plan for Healthy city projects need to be made in the first phase of the projects, instead of in the end. Moreover, it is important to include stakeholder in conducting qualitative analysis for unquantifiable evidence of effectiveness, as well as quantitative analysis.

  • 다양한 중소기업 ICT 지원 사업들은 우리나라 산업전반의 체질 강화와 국가경쟁력 향상을 위해 매우 큰 의의와 성과를 보여 왔다. 그러나 중소기업간 및 지역 간 ICT 격차는 여전히 해소되지 못하고 있으며, ICT를 통한 양적성과에 비하여 내실화, 체질 개선, 경쟁력 강화 등의 질적 효과 또한 뚜렷한 성과를 나타내지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 중소기업 ICT 지원 사업에 대한 문제점과 요구사항을 수요자 측면의 정성적 조사연구(Qualitative Study)를 통해 중소기업의 ICT 전략의 방향과 목표를 설정하고, 새로운 중소기업 ICT 정책수립을 위한 기초자료를 구축하고자 한다.

성인 자녀의 부모 사별 경험에 대한 연구 (A Qualitative Study on Adult Children's Experiences of Parental Bereavement)

  • This research is intended to examine adult children's experiences with parental bereavement and the effect of the experiences on family relationships and their lives. In order to describe the subjects' experiences as they are and understand their meaning and essence, data was analyzed using the Colaizzi method, an approach to phenomenology as a qualitative research methods. The findings showed that subjects suffered from the loss of parents; however, they recovered from their conditions after an ancestor worshiping service. In addition, they took heavy responsibility for a survived parent after bereavement and experienced changes in the roles of family members. In conclusion, experience with parental bereavement caused adult children to reflect on themselves, to discuss the essence of life, and to change the attitudes of their life from a future-oriented perspective to a here-and-now perspective.

Korean heritage students and language literacy: A qualitative approach

  • This paper is a qualitative study of the experiences of Korean heritage language learners (KHLLs) with literacy (reading and writing), particularly before they enter the college-level heritage language classroom. Previous research, both qualitative and quantitative, has addressed the overall language background of KHLLs, including oral and aural proficiency and writing and reading ability, as well as demographic information (such as when the student immigrated to the United States) in relation to language test scores. This study addresses KHLL experiences in the following six areas as they relate to student perceptions and attitudes toward their own heritage language literacy: language proficiency, motivation for learning, academic preparedness, cultural connectedness, emotional factors, and social factors. Fourteen undergraduate students at a university in the western United States participated in a convenience sample by responding to a 10-question survey. Trends in responses indicated that KHLLs entered the classroom with high integrational motivation and experienced great satisfaction with perceived progress in literacy, but students also expressed regret for having missed childhood learning experiences that would likely have resulted in higher proficiency. These experiences include informal and formal instruction in the home and formal instruction outside of the home.

뇌성마비에 대한 국내의 질적 연구 분석 (Analysis of Korean Qualitative Studies on Cerebral Palsy)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyze Korean qualitative research studies on cerebral palsy and provide a basis for future direction of research. Methods : Twenty-six articles were selected by searching 4 Korean databases (NDSL, DBpia, KISS, and RISS) and reviewing the list of additional references. All the articles were analyzed and assessed using the Consolidated criteria for Reporting Qualitative research (COREQ). Results : Seventeen qualitative studies and 9 mixed quantitative and qualitative studies were selected, and methodologies such as case study (42.3 %), constant comparative method (23.1 %) and phenomenology (23.1 %) were used. The studies investigated the effects of interventions (38.5 %), support programs (30.8 %), and life experiences (26.9 %). Among the participants, 50.0 % were persons with disabilities only, 19.2 % were parents only, and 30.8 % were combination of persons with disabilities, parents, teachers, and therapists. The number of participants in most studies was 2-9 (57.7 %). The COREQ evaluation of the selected articles revealed many shortcomings in the studies. Interview guidelines were used only in 26.9 % of the studies. In particular, many articles did not describe in detail the characteristics of researchers and the relationship between researchers and the participants. Conclusion : In future, various research methodologies and research checklists must be used to stimulate high-quality qualitative research with on cerebral palsy.
