The importance of reliability and safety, recently, shows a tendency to increases in railway system constructions and projects. At the point of view of safety, especially, the railway authority proposes an establishment of the safety case that is the documented demonstration that products comply with the specific safety requirements in railway industry. In case of reliability activities, there is no systematic documented demonstration in the railway industry. At this circumstance, this study presents the establishment of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Case for railway system based on the MoD(Ministry of Defence) 00-42. This RAM Case will support that systems and products produced from suppliers or manufacturers meet the specific RAM requirements during the system life cycle(i.e, from design to operation & maintenance) through systematic process and evidences. Also, it is expected that railway system operations will be managed and supported from reliability activities in accordance with RAM Case.

Railway safety case is an important measure for demonstrates operating company's capability, commitment and competence in accordance with Railway Regulation 2000 in UK. Safety case describes the scope of operation, definition and boundary of activity, risk analysis, system safety activity, annul safety plan. Relationships between' these components and company's policy, organization, human resource, control measure, investment plan are also included. A case study for Network Rail (infrastructure manager)'s safety case is described in this paper for the construction of safety rule and safety planning.

The case series is a descriptive study that follows a group of patients who have a similar diagnosis or who are undergoing the same procedure and is the most prevalent type of research in the field of plastic surgery. Results of case series can generate hypotheses that are useful in designing further studies, including randomized controlled trials or a prospective cohort study. However, no causal inferences should be made from case series regarding the efficacy of the investigated treatment. The authors provide a guide to the design and report on the case series.

Purpose: This study was performed to develop the case management program that can provide the qualitative health care service to satisfy the increasing needs for health care elderly and prevent the increase in medical cost cased by prolonged and repetitive hospitalization. Method: The survey was completed as follows. First, 290 elderly patients who would be soon discharged in 4 hospitals are participated in the survey on needs of nursing care and case management programs. Second, 70 professionals working at 5 hospitals including doctors, nurses, social workers and so on are participated in the survey on the case management team operation. Result: Level of needs to Nursing care and case management programs showed so high. Professionals suggested on the case management team operation. Finally, based on the survey and literature review, the case management program was developed. Conclusion: In this study, the specific models for the five case management services were suggested. It is thought that the service provision by the case management team based on the multi-disciplinary case management program model suggested in this study would be suggested as a constituent of the effective health care delivery system for the hospitalized elderly patients.

Background/Objectives: The purpose of the study is to derive a goal usable in the field by exploring the case management success experiences of case managers. Civil case managers state that what is still important in case management practice is qualitative change made in the practice process. Therefore, the study will deal with detailed contents about case management that civil domain case managers consider to be important. Methods/Statistical analysis: For data collection, the study used focus group interview on 20 professional case management social workers and used Grounded theory method by Glaser for data analysis. The analysis of collected data consisted of a process of finding the categories and characteristics of the research problem. Findings: As a result of analysis, 4 categories, 10 subcategories, and 25 elements were derived for success experiences of case management practice. The categories were divided into satisfaction and ability improvement of client, case manager ability improvement, establishment of organization and environment function, and multilateral trust relationship strengthening. Improvements/Applications: The results of this study further clarified the goal of field case management practice and it was suggested as a plan to reflect on future case management related institutions evaluation.

Shihosamul-tang (柴胡四物湯, Bupleurum Four Substances Decoction) is a very effective and widely utilized prescription in Korean medicine. However, there has not been a clinical example written in the classical literature of Korean medicine that deals with Shihosamul-tang and the delicate and changeable clinical use of Shihosamul-tang remains unknown. This study tries, for the first time, to show the clinical practice of Shihosamul-tang through review of KyungBoSinPyun (輕寶新篇). KyungBoSinPyun is a medical book containing 143 case records in the tradition of the East Asian practice of describing clinical encounters and the therapies employed. This study examines eight examples of case records within KyungBoSinPyun highlighting use of Shihosamul-tang. The purpose is to understand how Shihosamul-tang is applied in clinical practice compared to the description of Shihosamul-tang in Donguibogam (東醫寶鑑). Different descriptions about the symptoms and transformation methods of the prescription have been found in the eight examples of Shihosamul-tang case records contained in KyungBoSinPyun. This paper concludes that the difference between clinical practice and a typical description in medical books should be overcome by medical virtuosity and the potential for change for each clinical case, which is gained when seeing beyond the text of medical books.

This paper discusses the nature of the associate NP of English there constructions and attempts to capture the underlying similarity between the associate NP in English and the nominative object in Korean. Specifically, this paper is centered on the Case property of the associate NP. As the first step, previous proposals on the case of the associate NP are critically reviewed. Through the criticism, this paper opposes to Chomsky's (1995, 2000, 2001) analysis and to Lasnik's (1999) partitive Case analysis. In particular, convincing reason for the partitive Case assignment to the associate NP, other than other cases, cannot be found. This paper, therefore, adopts a recent claim of Boeckx (2000) that the Case under consideration is nominative by Agree. His idea is extended to the analysis of the presentational expletive construction. This paper draws a conclusion that the associate NP of the presentational expletive construction has accusative by Agree. This dichotomy (or split) is also observed in the nominative object construction in Korean. In the nominative object construction, the nominative object has nominative Case by Agree, whereas the regular object has accusative by Agree.

Purpose: This study explores the impact of digital transformation (DT) strategies on gaining a competitive advantage in interactive educational services. Methods: We develop a service value proposition model by analyzing educational service elements to confirm the impact of DT in the classroom through case studies. This study focuses on educational services that DT has a positive impact on organizational competitiveness by providing opportunities for customers to engage in operational processes. This case study summarizes competitiveness using SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis. Results: The findings of the case study indicate that DT-enabled competitive factors contribute to an organization's competitive advantage. The study results present key resource as social cloud services, data combination, content sharing, and products/services. The online application that collects user data about education and shares class and evaluation information creates a new class operational process in the field of educational service for a value proposition of collection-merging-sharing with social cloud function. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used as a good guideline for educational service providers interested in applying DT for improved customer satisfaction and educational organizations' competitiveness. In addition, the study findings provide theoretical and practical implications on SWOT approaches to changing the educational service provision ways through digital transformation.

A lot of research works in the BPM area focuses on the development of new techniques in process mining. Even though the application of process mining to analyze real life process logs is important, only few case studies are available. Thus, in this paper, we conduct a case study on how to analyze a real life process log which comes from a Korean company in the heavy industry area. We analyze a customer service process that consists of a series of activities to enhance the level of customer satisfaction. In this case study, five research questions are derived based on collected questions from the company. Then we focus on bottleneck analysis, basic performance analysis and pattern analysis that are selected in order to answer the research questions. The analysis shows some abnormal behaviors in the process and possible ways to improve current processes are suggested.

Employability is a critical issue in construction education. Employability is more than students obtaining employment upon graduation. The concept is far more ranging, and should encompass enabling students to acquire the knowledge, personal and professional skills and encouraging attitudes that will support their future development and employment. This paper describes two case studies relating to how the true concept of employability can be incorporated into the construction higher education curriculum. Case study 1 was a collaborative venture with contributions from a higher education provider, employers, students and a professional body (Association of Building Engineers). It outlines the whole process from course inception through to graduation and feedback. Thus it presents a valid model for other higher education providers of construction courses to adapt or adopt. Case study 2 outlines how the opportunity of a degree programme revalidation process was utilized to introduce modules which would enhance students' employability on graduation.
