The fruit body of Forsythiae Fructus (Oleaceae), a common Korean medical herb, is widely used in the treatment of cold and inflammation. In order to elucidate the action mechanism and the active principles from the plant against anti-influenza virus, the influenza virus hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) gene RT-PCR and Viral Screening & Identification (VSI) assay were conducted, and the activity against viral replication was also investigated. Consequently, one active constituent, namely pinoresinol showed the in vitro antiviral principle using a cytopathic effect (CPE) reduction method, indicating pinoresinol possessed anti-influenza viral activity. Furthermore, combination of pinoresinol and Tamiflu exhibited higher activities than Tamiflu alone against influenza virus (H3N2) infection. The results suggested that combination of pinoresinol with Tamiflu could be a better candidate for an ant-H3N2 viral agent in the treatment of the influenza.

The objective of this study was to compare the Dutch DVE/OEB system and the NRC-2001 model in the prediction of supply of protein to dairy cows from processed field tick beans. Comparisons were made in terms of 1) ruminally synthesized microbial CP, 2) truly absorbed protein in the small intestine, and 3) degraded protein balance. The results showed that the predicted values from the DVE/OEB system and the NRC-2001 model had significant correlations with high R (>0.90) values. However, using the DVE/OEB system, the overall average microbial protein supply based on available energy was 16% higher and the truly absorbed protein in the small intestine was 9% higher than that predicted by the NRC-2001 model. The difference was also found in the prediction of the degraded protein balances (DPB), which was 5% lower than that predicted based on data from the NRC-2001 model. These differences are due to considerably different factors used in calculations in the two models, although both are based on similar principles. It need to mention that this comparison was based on the limited data, the full comparison involving various types of concentrate feeds will be investigated in the future.

This study introduces the adoption of the logistics industry by the Korean government as a threshold of overcoming economic difficulties. The core contents of the National Logistics Plans (2001-2020) which contain the basic principles of the logistics policies of the Korean government and its aim to be an 'Excellent Nation of Logistics' is introduced. The economic effect of the logistics policies implemented between 2001 and 2005, (the period of the first Medium-term Logistics Plan according to the National Logistics Plans (2001-2020) set up by the Korean government at the end of 2000) is estimated through input-output analysis. The input-output analysis result is as follows: the total output effect is 8,856 billion won of which indirect output effect is 3,982.9 billion won; indirect output effect comes mainly from real estate and business services, non-metal products, metal products, electrical and electronics products, finance and insurance, wholesale and retail, petroleum and coal; the total amount of value-added effect is 3,376 billion won and total import effect is 726 billion won. Employment effect including self-employed and unpaid family supporters with paid laborers is 79,203.7 people of which paid laborers comprise 67,547.7 people.

Also, because it can be difficult that all registered customs brokers who is acting for certificate of origin issuance booking get acquainted in place of origin problem, it is expected to can become confrontation plan train FTA and place of origin professional registered customs brokers.

The international government committee is progressing their agreements about intellectual property protection of traditional knowledge(TK), gene resource(GR), folklore(FL) in WIPO. It is in the course of selection with precedence of TK, GR, FL in WlPO, focused on discussions about listing of TK documents, standardization of DB construction, sharing and profit distribution of GR. Their are disagreements between developed countries and underdeveloped countries about intellectual property protection agreements of TK, GR. The developed countries insist on using, the existing intellectual property protections, but the underdeveloped countries ask new ones on character of TK, GR, It causes intangible assets to be valuable trade properties in future world trade. We have to make national plans to face agreements about IP of TK, GR in WIPO with our own TK, GR. We must have a basic attitude about laying down these plans such as raising national economy, considering our TK, GR to be relics of mankind culture. In addition to these, it needs accurate analysis about agreements in WIPO, our TK, GR, scientific mechanical level and capital power.

This thesis' "Hwang Jae Nai Kyung(黃帝內經)", it is one among Uihak5kyung(醫學五經), is originally total of 18 volumes, the first half of 9 volumes are Somun(素問) and the latter half of the others are Youngchu(靈樞). Also, it is best of old book and literature integrating process of Chinese's medicine. Somun(素問) is comprehensive and extensive principles from fundamental problem of medical science related etiology, pathology, physiology to such parts of preventive medicine as regimen, recuperation. Moreover, therapeutic part of diagnosis and remedy, practice of acupuncture and moxibustion is recorded to Youngchu(靈樞). In the "Hwang Jae Nai Kyung(黃帝內經)", basic system takes precautions and medical cure for disease by approaching not method analyzing body but fundamentals of oriental medicine observed as organizing relation. For the purpose of mixing up beauty based on Buddhism of books, we shall pursuit notion of beauty treatment to method improving health because period flowing is changed to real well-being culture chasing outside beauty and healthy life. Then, to come close for part of oriental medicine and cosmetology, we shall present method of meridian pathways and understand device for cosmetic improvement by analyzing relation to 12 of pathways, the five viscera and the six entrails & skin.

In this thesis, improved full wave mode ZVT(Zero-Voltage-Transition) PMW DC-DC Converters are presented to maximize the regeneration ratio of resonant energy by only putting an additional diode In series with the auxiliary switch. The operation of the auxiliary switch in a half wave mode makes it possible soft switching operation of all switches including the auxiliary switch whereas it is turned off with hard switching in conventional converter. The increase of the regeneration ratio to resonant energy results in low commutation losses and minimum voltage and current stresses. The operation principles of the improved ZVT PWM DC-DC Converters are theoretically analyzed using the boost converter topology as an example. Both theoretical analysis and experimental results verify the validity of the PWM boost converter topology with the improved full wave mode ZVT PWM converters.

Recently, 2-dimensional flat light sources have been attracting much attention for its use in LCD backlight applications because of its high luminous efficiency and uniformity. A long-gap discharge, mercury-tree flat fluorescent lamp has been developed, which shows a high brightness ($>5000\;cd/m^2$) and high luminous efficacy (60 lm/W). Additionally, it has a wide operating margin and stable driving condition with the aid of an auxiliary electrode. For driving the lamp, a narrow pulse power to maintain the glow discharge state is required. Since there has been no research for this kind of lamp driving, this paper proposes a newly developed short-pulse, high-voltage lamp-driving scheme. The proposed lamp system uses a ballast with a coupled-inductor in order to raise the short pulse voltage up to the lamp ignition level and to obtain energy-recovery action during the glow discharge mode. The operation principles are presented and also the system performances such as the lighting efficiency, spatial and angular uniformities are evaluated by hardware experiments. The results show that the proposed lighting system is a good candidate for the next-generation of LCD backlight systems.

In article the concept of strategy of mankind's survival in XXI and next centuries, the principles of creation of planetary house of universal civilization for post-industrial world based on spirituality scientific and technological revolutions, ecology, space exploration, economy and world safety are considered. Introduction of uniform universal measurement of currency for the whole world in the form of "power" is offered. Important aspect of a research is theoretical postulate on integrated innovative society. The author puts forward a new paradigm of government on a basis of 5 spirals. The basic model of forced development of small and medium business, including 9 projects, is developed.

Although the demand and necessity for the facilities of nature environmental conservation and its utilization have been increased recently, the local governments has been experiencing difficulties to launch the facilities since there are no confirmed principles or guidelines for the direction of the facility and distinctions from the ordinary parks. In this regard, the aim of this paper is to provide the overall framework for establishing the facility by equipping checklists from planning to operational stage. The stages are disengaged into 5 steps of siting feasibility, planning, preliminary environmental assessment and environmental impact assessment, design, construction, and operation. This paper also include the recommendations to vitalize the existing facilities, of which expansion of educational program development; utilization of various manpower; provision of appropriate settings; strengthened monitoring; and increased public relations. Furthermore, it is suggested to consider the strengthened local characteristics, reviewing management plan at the stage of applying a new facility establishment to the concerned authority, fostering experts, and expansion of the facilities through restoration of environmentally damaged areas for a new facility.
