Effects of Thermocouple Junction Shape on Output Characteristics of Thermopile (열전대 접합모양이 써모파일의 출력특성에 미치는 영향)

  • MEMS형 써모파일은 온도계, 유속, 가스, 칼로리미터 등 다양한 산업 분야에 응용되고 있다. 현재 상용화되어 있는 대부분의 MEMS형 써모파일에서는 습식 이방성 에칭방식으로 다이어프램을 제작하고, 막의 구성은 산화막/질화막/산화막 혹은 산화막/질화막의 적층으로 되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 $XeF_2$시스템을 사용해 전면으로부터 에칭하여 저응력 질화막을 다이어프램을 제작하였고, 열전대 물질로는 poly-Si과 Al을 사용하였다. 그리고 각각의 열전쌍은 열접점에서 Al 패턴시, 사각형의 오픈 면적을 두어 접합된 모양을 달리하여 설계 제작하였다. 소자의 크기는 $2{\times}2mm^2$이고, 능동영역은 $400{\times}400{\mu}m^2$이다. 써모파일의 출력은 적외선 램프의 전력이 3W($80^{\circ}C$)일 때, 오픈된 면적이 증가할수록 출력이 증가하였으며, 오픈된 면적이 $300{\mu}m^2$ 일때의 출력은 약1mV로 나타났다. 이러한 특성으로부터 계산된 오픈된 면적에 따른 출력비는 약 $0.3nV/{\mu}m^2$이다.

A Study on the Development & Evaluation of Defense Quality Maturity Index (국방품질성숙도지수의 개발 및 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research is to develop defense quality evaluation model in order to improve the problem of private sector quality evaluation model and propose the total integrated defense quality management model which enables to evaluate not only large defense industry, but also small-medium industry. Methods: This paper consider the characteristics on ISO 9001 Quality Management System, single PPM, PASS and defense quality and develop defense quality maturity model and index which enables to measure the current quality management level and characteristics and to evaluate operational characteristics in each maturity level for domestic defense industry. Results: From 176 DQMS certified defense industry, the defense quality maturity level is 68,2, C grade. The large defense industry shows, 80.9, A grade; medium industry 69.7, C grade; small-medium industry shows 54.1, D grade. Through the classified types of industries, the current level of quality management of defense industries was diagnosed and the areas to be supplemented for the total quality management were identified. Conclusion: Developed DQMI can be used as the basic information for spreading quality management activities in the defense industry by diagnosing the overall quality management of existing defense industries and quantifying the ambiguity of non-metric measurements and measurement standard that were presented as the threshold of the defense quality management system certification process.

Analysis of User Preference about the Color Rendering Index, Correlated Color Temperature and Illuminance of LED Lighting in Merchandising Spaces (상업공간에서의 사용자 선호 LED 조명 연색지수와 상관색온도, 조도의 분석)

  • This study aims to recommend the proper Color rendering index (CRI), the Correlated Color Temperature (CCT), and illuminance levels of Light-Emitting Diode (LED) lighting based on the analysis of the criteria of the current CRI, the CCT, and illuminance levels in merchandising spaces with LED lighting conditions. It would be a basic material to apply in line with user preference for LED merchandising lighting. To this end, it examines relevant literature review on the experiments designed to test whether lighting characteristics affect brightness perception, color appearance, and pleasantness. Highly saturated colors appear brighter than low saturated colors. Two lighting applications - grocery and clothing shop - were created in elaborating the effect of LED lighting characteristics of CRI on color appearance and the CCT and illuminance on pleasantness. The findings show that the criteria of CIE Ra<80 are appropriate to provide better color appearance of illuminated products in terms of LED lighting that can enhance color saturation, particularly for the red color. Furthermore, 2700 K and less than 500 lux for grocery, 4000 K and more than 500 lux for clothing shop are found to be the proper the CCT and illuminance levels respectively to bring better preference under LED lighting.

  • Natural ventilation through openings such as windows in school buildings is an efficient resource for natural cooling during the intermediate season of the year. Because the natural ventilation uses the wind outside the building, the amount of ventilation will depend not only on the wind speed and wind direction but also on the window layout and open window ratio. Therefore, in this study, the natural ventilation plans of school classroom windows are divided into 4 types and 8 cases as shown in Table 1. The characteristics of cooling effect by natural ventilation are simulated by applying Energyplus's Airflow Network Model and the comfort of the occupants is evaluated by the number of hours included in the 80% acceptability range of the ASHRAE Standard 55-2010 adaptive comfort model for the weekdays (Monday-Friday) and the class hours (08: 00-19: 00). Based on the analysis results of the above, this study presents basic data related to classroom cooling plan using intermediate season natural ventilation.

Occurrence and Chemical Composition of White Mica from Wallrock Alteration Zone of Janggun Pb-Zn Deposit (장군 연-아연 광상의 모암변질대에서 산출되는 백색운모의 산상 및 화학조성)

  • The Janggun Pb-Zn deposit has been known one of the four largest deposits (Yeonhwa, Shinyemi, Uljin) in South Korea. The geology of this deposit consists of Precambrian Weonnam formation, Yulri group, Paleozoic Jangsan formation, Dueumri formation, Janggum limestone formation, Dongsugok formation, Jaesan formation and Mesozoic Dongwhachi formation and Chungyang granite. This Pb-Zn deposit is hydrothermal replacement deposit in Paleozoic Janggum limestone formation. The wallrock alteration that is remarkably recognized with Pb-Zn mineralization at this deposit consists of mainly rhodochrositization and dolomitization with minor of pyritization, sericitization and chloritization. Wallrock alteration is divided into the five zones (Pb-Zn orebody -> rhodochrosite zone -> dolomite zone -> dolomitic limestone zone -> limestone or dolomitic marble) from orebody to wallrock. The white mica from wallrock alteration occurs as fine or medium aggregate associated with Ca-dolomite, Ferroan ankerite, sideroplesite, rutile, apatite, arsenopyrite, pyrite, sphalerite, galena, quartz, chlorite and calcite. The structural formular of white mica from wallrock alteration is (K0.77-0.62Na0.03-0.00Ca0.03-0.00Ba0.00Sr0.01)0.82-0.64(Al1.72-1.48Mg0.48-0.20Fe0.04-0.01Mn0.03-0.00Ti0.01-0.00Cr0.00As0.01-0.00Co0.03-0.00Zn0.03-0.00Pb0.05-0.00Ni0.01-0.00)2.07-1.92 (Si3.43-3.33Al0.67-0.57)4.00O10(OH1.94-1.80F0.20-0.06)2.00. It indicated that white mica from wallrock alteration has less K, Na and Ca, and more Si than theoretical dioctahedral micas. The white micas from wallrock alteration of Janggun Pb-Zn deposit, Yeonhwa 1 Pb-Zn deposit and Baekjeon Au-Ag deposit, and limestone of Gumoonso area correspond to muscovite and phengite and white mica from wallrock alteration of Dunjeon Au-Ag deposit corresponds to muscovite. Compositional variations in white mica from wallrock alteration of these deposits and limeston of Gumoonso area are caused by mainly phengitic or Tschermark substitution mechanism (Janggun Pb-Zn deposit), mainly phengitic or Tschermark substitution and partly illitic substitution mechanism (Yeonhwa 1 Pb-Zn deposit, Dunjeon Au-Ag deposit and Baekjeon Au-Ag deposit), and mainly phengitic or Tschermark substitution and partly illitic substitution or Na+ <-> K+ substitution mechanism (Gumoonso area).

The study on water quality and phytoplankton flora at 3 rivers in the Taejon city (대전시 3대 하천의 수질 및 식물플랑크톤상에 관한 연구)

  • The studyies on physico-chemical factors and phytoplankton at the 3 rivers in the Taejon city were conducted from November 1997 to May 1998. The Results were as floows; In the water quality, the down streams were generally worse than the upper streams. Water temperature was varied from 2.4$^{\circ}C$ to 23.$0^{\circ}C$; DO from 1.80mg/$\ell$ to 17.6mg/$\ell$ ; pH from 4.7 to 10.4 ; BOD from 0.78mg/$\ell$ to 8.80mg/$\ell$ ; COD from 0.32mg/$\ell$ to 8.26mg/$\ell$ ; SS from 2.0mg/$\ell$ to 43.0mg/$\ell$ ; total phosphate was from 0.001mg/$\ell$ to 0.709mg/$\ell$ ; total nitrogen 0.01mg/$\ell$ to 11.69mg/$\ell$. In phytoplankton species, they were identified as total 191 taxa composed of 8 classes, 18 orders, 35 families, 74 genera, 152 species, 35 varieties and 4 forms. The dominant species were Synedra ulna in Taejon-chon, Diatomavulgare in Yudong-chon, Oscillatioria princeps, Scenedesmus qadricauda, Synedra ulna, and Diatom vulgare in Gap-chon. Standing crops of phytoplankton were from 2,076 cells/$m\ell$ to 97,356 cells/$m\ell$

Wide Band Microstrip line-to-Rectangular Waveguide Transition Using a Radial Probe for Millimeter-wave Applications (밀리미터파 응용을 위해 Radial 프로브 마이크로 스트립-웨이브 가이드 광대역 천이기)

  • In this work, a broadband microstrip (MSL) - to - waveguide (WR12) transition has been presented for millimeter-wave module applications. For improvement of a bandwidth, the radial MSL electrical-probe is designed on the low-loss organic dielectric substrate. The designed and tested characteristics of the proposed transition are characterized in terms of an insertion and return loss. Considering the loss contribution of the cable adapter and waveguide transition for the measurement, the proposed transition loss can be analyzed as -1.88 and -2.01 dB per a transition at 70 and 80 GHz, respectively. The bandwidth of the proposed transition for reflection at -10 dB is 26 GHz at all test frequencies from 67 to 95 GHz. Compared to the state-of-the-art results, improvement of 8.3 % is achieved for the operation bandwidth.

Temperature Dependence of Photoluminescence in $SiO_2$ (실리콘산화막의 광루미니센스 온도의존성에 관한 연구)

  • Photoluminescence(PL) were observed from room temperature to 8K on $Si^+$-implanted silicon-oxide films. The PL intensities are increased from room temperature to 50~80K and decreased below 50K. The blue-shift occurs during the increasing of PL intensity. Also, temperature-dependent PL were measured at peak wavelengths. The first peak is the most sensitive to the measuring temperature. The experimental results are explained by quantum size effect of O rich defects or(and) Si rich defects rather than nanocrystal silicon.

Immobilization of Endo- and Exoinulinase on Vinylsulfone Activated Agarose (Vinylsulfone Activated Agarose 에 Endo- 및 Exoinulinase의 고정화)

  • In order to reuse inulinase effectively, a method for immobilizing both endo- and exoinulinase to vinylsulfone activated agarose via covalent bond was investigated. The immobilized enzyme preparation had, respectively, 400 U for exoinulinase activity and 80 U for endoinu- Iinase activity per gram gel. A thermal stability by immobilization had increased in the case of exoinulinase. Optimum pHs for two immobilized enzymes were 4.4 to 5.0. Synergistic effect which depends on mixed ratio of two immobilized enzymes was the best when the mixed ratio of endo/exo lay between 0.1 and 0.5, and its activity of the mixed enzyme increased 1.7 times as compared to that of each immobilized enzyme. Inulinase activities of both of the immobilized enzymes did not change during 20 times experimental runs in a batch reactor.

  • 인쇄전자 기술은 기존의 다양한 인쇄 공정에 전자 재료를 적용하여 전자소자 및 전자소자에 적용 가능한 제품들을 생산하는 기술이다. 인쇄 공정은 크게 접촉식과 비접촉식으로 구분할 수 있는데 비접촉식 인쇄 방식의 대표적인 예가 잉크젯과 스프레이 방식을 이용한 인쇄라고 할 수 있다. ESD는 정전기력을 이용한 스프레이 방식의 인쇄 공정으로써 기존의 정전기력만을 이용한 인쇄 방식과는 달리 정전기력과 공압을 동시에 적용하여 상대적으로 빠른 시간 내에 나노 박막의 코팅과 패터닝이 가능한 공정이다. 일반적으로 터치 패널에 사용되는 ITO의 경우는 증착 방식에 의존하고 있어 공정 시간이 길고 생산 단가도 비싸다는 단점이 있다. ESD 코팅의 경우는 기존의 증착 방식이 아닌 직접 인쇄 방식으로 공정 시간과 비용을 절감할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 투명 전도막 형성에 사용되는 전도성 고분자의 경우 ITO를 대체할 수 있을 만큼의 성능을 지니고 있어 터치 패널용 전극으로 응용할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 ESD 공정을 이용하여 ITO 대체가 가능한 터치패널용 투명전극을 형성하였다. 전도성 고분자의 코팅 두께에 따라 전기적인 특성이 변화하지만 투과도 80%를 전후로 면저항이 $60{\sim}80{\Omega}/{\Box}$의 성능이 나타남을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 코팅된 투명 전도막을 이용하여 터치패널용 모듈 제작을 통해 동작 여부도 확인할 수 있었다.
