인천지역 초등과학영재학급의 교육과정 운영실태 분석 (An Analysis on the Curriculum for the Classes of Elementary Science Gifted in Incheon)

  • The purpose of this study was to analysis the curriculum for educating and operating the classes of elementary science gifted in Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education. We developed the framework for curriculum content analysis based on the principles of curriculum development for gifted education. The developed framework was applied to the curricula of four classes of elementary science gifted in Incheon. And the needs of gifted students were surveyed in the classes of the elementary science gifted. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The current curriculums of two classes described the goal of the elementary gifted education, but the content and theme of the curricula of three classes were not related to the contents of the 7th national curriculum. 2. The teaching methods used in the science gifted class were mainly a lecture and an experimental activity. and there was little the process of individual instruction. 3. There was not mostly the products as the results of learning because of little performed by a project teaming, an announcement and an exhibition in gifted class. 4. Most of the students of the science gifted class were estimated by the paper tests and observation of the teacher in charge of the gifted class, not by the products and presentation etc. 5. They mostly preferred the theme of everyday life in addition to the textbook, and the instructional type of enrichment teaming and acceleration learning over the grade of themselves. 6. They mainly expected that the curriculum of the gifted class is operated during the semester.

중학교 1학년 수학과 서술형 평가문항 개발 연구 (A Study on Development of Problems for Descriptive Evaluation in Grade 7 Mathematics)

  • In this paper, descriptive assessment method for middle school mathematics was evaluated by developing a framework for designing and grading problems for descriptive assessment and analyzing the effectiveness of the problems. The new descriptive assessment problems were developed by reviewing the current 7th National Mathematics Curriculum of Korea and aligned mathematics textbooks to define a set of problem design principles and evaluation framework for the assessment strategy. The developed problems were first pilot tested and then revised based on the feedback from the test. The final version was field tested by 100 students in 7th grade middle school. After the field test, the problems were graded by two middle school math teachers and one math education researcher to determine the overall correlation between graders and also to analyze effectiveness of the evaluation framework of the test. This result of this study is expected to assist in the further development of descriptive problems and grading framework by providing a reference work for teachers to better understand the process and the limitations of executing the new assessment strategy.

수학 교과에서의 집단탐구식 수업 방법에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Exploratory Learning in Groups Method in Mathematics Education)

  • The 7th Curriculum emphasizes that in mathematics classes, mathematical concepts be understood and mathematical problems be solved through student's own exploratory activities including the use of data, manipulatives, andtechnological devices. Following the main idea of the Seventh Mathematics Curriculum, this paper dealt with instructional methods applied suitably and effectively in mathematics classes, and focused on the 'exploratory learning in groups' method in mathematics education. For this purpose, this paper reviewed and summarized theories related to general pedagogy and of mathematics education. Based on the results, it investigated appropriate instructional methods in mathematics education. In particular, this paper focused on studying the exploratory learning method while investigating its properties and understand- ing the relationship between the 'exploratory learning in groups' method and the discussion-centered method. Finally, in order to show the usefulness of the exploratory learning method, this paper developed an example of a teaching module using the exploratory learning method in addition to discussion and lecture-centered methods by the use of manipulatives. The main goal of the module was to make students understand the principle of multiplication of integers.

제7차 중학교 '기술.가정' 의생활 단원의 환경교육관련 내용에 관한 학생 인식과 수업실행인식도 조사 (The Study on the Recognition and the Class Practice Rate of Environmental Education-Relevant Contents in the Unit of 'Clothing Life' of the 7th 'Technology-Home Economics' Curriculum of Middle School)

  • 본 연구는 중학교 의생활 단원을 이수한 학생들의 제7차 교육과정 중학교 '기술 가정' 의생활 단원의 환경교육관련 내용에 관한 인식과 수업실행인식도 조사를 목적으로 하며 이를 통해 환경보전실천도를 높일 수 있는 수업 개선을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구 방법으로 중학교 의생활 단원을 이수한 전국 13개 중 고등학교의 중2, 중3, 고1 학생을 대상으로 임의 표집하여 2007년 12월$\sim$2008년 1월에 걸쳐 우편을 통해 550부의 설문지를 수집한 후 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 우리나라와 현 거주지의 환경문제가 심각하여 그로인해 피해를 받고 있는 것으로 인식하고 있으나 환경단체에 가입하는 등의 실천의지와 환경보전 실천을 위한 의생활 행동이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 중학교 '기술 가정' 의생활 단원에 대하여 '의복마련과 관리' 단원의 환경오염이란 단어가 제시된 일부 내용을 제외하고는 환경교육과 관련성이 없거나, 적다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 의생활 단원의 환경교육 관련 수업실행인식도에서도 '의복계획과 구입' 단원을 제외하고 환경교육 관련 수업이 잘 이루어지지 않고 있다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났으며 환경보전 실천도도 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 일반적인 특성에 따라서는 중학교 2학년생, 그 중에서도 여학생이 환경관심도나 수업실행인식도에서 좀 더 높게 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 가정과 교사들은 의생활 단원의 교육내용이 환경과 밀접한 관련이 있음을 학생들이 잘 인식하고 학생들의 환경보전 실천을 위한 의생활 행동이 이루어질 수 있도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

  • The purpose of this research is to compose the curriculums of mathematics for the technical high school students to ream their own majors effectively. First, we analysed the goal of mathematics education in high school and the goal of education in technical high school and the 6th and 7th National Curriculums of mathematics. And next, we researched the reality and the necessity of mathematics education in technical high school. As the result of this analysis, we found some problems of mathematics education in the technical high school. So we composed the scope, the sequence, and the units of mathematics textbook which reflect the curriculum of technical high school.

2007 개정 교육과정에 의한 중학교 과학 교과서의 삽화에 나타난 성역할 고정관념 분석 (An Analysis of Gender-Role Stereotyping in the Illustrations of Middle School Science Textbooks Developed under the 2007 Revised National Curriculum)

  • 이 연구에서는 2007 개정 교육과정에 의한 중학교 과학 교과서 27권의 삽화를 성역할 고정관념의 측면에서 분석하고, 그 결과를 7차 교육과정에 의한 중학교 과학 교과서와 비교하였다. 삽화의 유형을 분류한 후, 삽화에 등장하는 학생과 성인의 성별 등장 빈도, 활동 유형 및 행동 특성의 성별 빈도를 분석하였다. 7차 교육과정기에 비해 모든 분석 항목에서 성별에 따른 차이가 감소하였으나, 학생의 학습 활동과 학생 및 성인의 행동 특성을 제외한 모든 항목에서 여전히 성역할 고정관념이 나타났다. 남학생의 등장 빈도는 여학생보다 많았는데, 학생의 학습 활동에서는 성별 빈도가 균형을 이루고 있었으나 학습외 활동은 남학생을 중심으로 묘사되어 있었다. 성인의 경우에는 남성이 여성보다 많이 등장하였고, 가정 활동에서는 여성의 비율이, 가정외 활동에서는 남성의 비율이 우세하였다. 직업 활동에는 남성이 주로 묘사되어 있었다. 학생과 성인은 대부분 적극적 행동 특성을 보였고, 학생과 성인 모두 각 성별 내에서 행동 특성의 비율이 비교적 유사하였다.

Keller의 동기유발 전략을 적용한 중학교 가정 '영양과 식사' 단원 교수.학습 과정안 개발 (The development of the teaching.learning process plan applying Keller's motive induction strategy to 'Nutrition and Meal' unit of the revised 7th middle school home economics curriculum)

  • 본 연구는 2007 개정 교육과정의 중학교 1학년 기술 가정 '청소년의 영양과 식사' 단원에 동기유발 전략을 활용한 교수 학습 과정안을 개발하는데 목적을 두었다. 교수 학습 과정안 개발을 위해 먼저 켈러와 송상호가 밝힌 Dick과 Carey 모형과 ARCS 모형의 인터페이스를 기초하여 수업 설계 단계를 추출하였다. 수업설계는 2007년 개정 교육과정에서 밝히고 있는 가정과교육의 성격과 특징을 분석하여 수업의 목적을 규명하고, 대단원과 중단원, 소단원의 학습목표를 연계하여 공통의 목표를 지향할 수 있는 5개의 학습 문제를 추출하였다. 구상한 교수 학습 활동의 학습 목표를 진술하고, 교수전략과 교재를 개발하였다. 교수전략은 교수 학습 과정안에 접목할 동기요소들을 교수전략과 연계하여 제시하였고, 교재 개발은 교수 학습 활동에서 활용할 수 있는 학습 활동지를 구성하는 단계로 사용하였다. 개발한 5개의 교수 학습 과정안의 도입 단계에서는 학생들의 생활과 밀접한 관련이 있는 문제를 제시하였다. 다음 단계에서 그러한 문제와 관련된 배경지식을 학습하고, 제기된 문제와 관련하여 학습자 스스로 자신의 모습과 비교하여 이루고 싶은 목표를 설정하게 하였다. 설정한 목표가 자신과 가족, 친구들에게 미치는 영향을 생각해 봄으로써 목표에 대한 결과를 고려하고, 자신의 행동으로 어떻게 옮길 지를 작성하여, 실생활에서 실천할 수 있도록 교수 학습 과정안을 구성하였다. 개발된 교수 학습 과정안의 평가는 켈러와 송상호가 밝힌 동기전술 체크리스트를 기준으로 동기요소와 그에 따르는 하위요소의 문항에 적합한 요소를 추출하여 교수 학습 과정안의 오른쪽에 아이콘화 하여 나타내었으며, 이 교수 학습 과정안과 학습 활동지를 가정과교육 전공 교수 1인과 가정과교육전공 박사학위를 소지한 현장교사 1인, 중등 가정과교사 5인으로부터 검토 받고 검토 내용을 참조하여 교수 학습 과정안을 다시 수정하고 보완하여 완성하였다.

Bloom의 신 교육목표분류학에 따른 슬기로운 생활 교과의 수업 목표 분석 (Analyses of Instructional Objectives of 'Wise Life' Based on Bloom's Revised Taxonomy of Educational Objectives)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore instructional objectives of 'Wise Life' based on Bloom's Revised Taxonomy of Educational Objectives. It was to extend understanding the 7th and the revised Wise Life 2007 as well. The written objectives of two curriculum of Wise Life were divided into two, the 'knowledge' dimension and the 'cognitive process' dimension based on Bloom's Revised Taxonomy of Educational Objectives. Major activity subjects presented in the 7th and the revised Wise Life 2007 were dominantly the basic inquiry activity types. It was found from this research that the 'factual' knowledge of the 'knowledge' dimension and the 'understand' of the 'cognitive process' dimension took a large proportion of the revised Wise Life 2007 objectives. The 'meta-cognitive' knowledge was increased. 'Remember' of the 'cognitive process' dimension was decreased and the high level objectives as 'analyze' and 'create', in the 'cognitive process' dimension was increased from the 7th to the revised curriculum. The 'factual' knowledge, 'conceptual' knowledge and 'metacognitive' knowledge were engaged with 'understand' and the 'procedural' knowledge were engaged with 'apply'. The 'meta- cognitive' were engaged with 'create' is the 'procedural' knowledge in the revised Wise Life 2007. 'Remember' was decreased. 'Create' was increased in the basic inquiry activities. It was analysed in zero percent of 'Observing', 'Investigating and Presenting', and 'Making'.

교과대체형 STEAM(융합인재교육) 프로그램 개발 및 적용 후 학생들의 인식 분석 - 6학년 에너지 관련 단원을 중심으로 - (Development and Students' Perceptions after Application of a Subject Substitute STEAM Program - Focusing on Energy Unit in 6th Grade Curriculum -)

  • In recent years, Korea encourages teachers to do STEAM education(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics), which includes Arts to STEM education to train creative science technology talent. Related to this, we developed a subject substitute STEAM program for the 6th grade students in elementary school and applied it in a field. The STEAM program which substitutes contents in curriculum related to Energy unit was developed and it was taught to twenty four sixth grade students during regular classes. During the classes, all activities of students were observed and they were written in recording notes during the observation. After all STEAM program ended, how students recognize the subject substitute STEAM program compared to general class, understand learning contents and think about the program before and after the STEAM classes were analyzed through questionnaire and interviews. The results were as follows. First, some students had difficulty in reconciling different ideas in group, creative thinking and crafts but most students liked the STEAM classes because many activities are fun and it is easy to understand. Second, learners regarded practical use of knowledge, learning different subjects together and interests as the reasons they can understand learning contents easily during STEAM program. Third, learners recognized STEAM classes are good to understand knowledge, think creative ideas and improve social skills after the STEAM classes while they showed anticipation, worry and fear before taking the classes. It is found that a subjective substitute STEAM program is helpful to increase learners' interests in learning, understand learning contents, increase creativity and have a good personality through a qualitative research.

7차교육과정의 초.중.고등학교 금융소비자교육 내용분석 - 실업과와 사회과를 중심으로 - (Contents Analysis of Personal Finance Education Curriculums in the Elementary, Middle and High Schools - Focusing on the Curricular of Home Economics & Social Science -)

  • The purpose of this research was to find the solution of problems originated from financial illiteracy. To accomplish this task, the content which supposed to be taught in the area of personal finance in the Elementary, Middle and High School curricular were identified based on the previous research. Then, the personal finance content taught in public education system were analyzed rising content analysis of over 100 text books related to Personal finance education, such as Home Economics, Social Science, Economics, and Human Life Sciences, etc. Based on the results, followings were concluded. In spite of the fact that only few personal financial education topics were included in the 7th Education Curriculum, many topics taught in the subject of Social Science were duplicated in the Home Economics Curricular. To accomplish the ultimate goal of personal financial education, an introduction of the new course(Personal Finance) in the regular curriculum like U.S. is strongly recommended.
