The research has been conducted in order to classify the vegetation types of natural forest in Mt. Janggunbong, Bonghwa-Gun and establish its following characteristics of stands. Vegetation data were collected by June in 2014 to August in 2016. Based on the 71 quadrates, we carried out an analysis of species-area curve, vegetation types, importance value, species diversity, coincidence method and CCA. As a result of the species-area curve, it was showed the proper investigation, vascular plants consisted a total of 227 taxa; 67 families, 152 genera, 197 species, 3 subspecies, 27 varieties. The forest vegetation was classified into 7 vegetation units, when it comes to a community group, they are classified into the Quercus mongolica community group. As for community, Q. mongolica community group is classified into the Acer pictum subsp. mono community, Pinus koraiensis community and Q. variabilis community. As for group, A. pictum subsp. mono community is classified into Lychnis cognata group and Deutzia glabrata group. The P. koraiensis community is classified into A. komarovii group and P. koraiensis typical group. The Q. variabilis community is classified into Parthenocissus tricuspidata group and Q. variabilis typical group. As for subgroup, P. tricuspidata group is classified into P. tricuspidata typical subgroup and Salix caprea subgroup. As a result of the importance value, Q. mongolica showed highest importance value in tree layer of vegetation units 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Betula schmidtii showed highest importance value in tree layer of vegetation unit 6. P. densiflora showed highest importance value in tree layer of vegetation unit 7. In subtree layer, shrub layer and herb layer of vegetation units 6 and 7, Q. mongolica and Q. variabilis showed high importance value. This implying that a vegetation units 6 and 7 is predicted to be composed by Q. mongolica and Q. variabilis. As for species diversity, vegetation units 1, 2 and 3 showed high species diversity(2.130~2.353). It was considered to be due to the topographical characteristics of valley. As a result of coincidence method and CCA, altitude showed high correlation than other environmental factor.
The purpose of this study was to interpret ecological characteristics and to estimate successional trend for seven classified forest cover types (Quercus mongolica pure forest, Q. mongolica-Q. serrata forest, Mixed mesophytic forest, Abies koreana-Q. mongolica forest, Fraxinus mandshurica forest, Q. serrata forest, and Carpinus laxiflora forest) in the natural forest of Western Jirisan. Q. mongolica pure forest and A. koreana-Q. mongolica forest which were distributed in a high-altitude ridge had the lowest species diversity index. On the other hand, mixed mesophytic forest and F. mandshurica forest which were mainly distributed in the valley had higher index. Based on characteristics of species diversity and topographic conditions, successional trends for forest cover types were estimated as follows; 1) Q. mongolica pure forest and A. koreana-Q. mongolica forest would be changed toward Q. mongolica-A. koreana forest. 2) Q. mongolica-Q. serrata forest, distributed between ridge and mid-slope, would be changed toward Q. mongolica-C. laxiflora-C. cordata forest. 3) Q. serrata forest, distributed in mid-slope, would be changed toward Q. serrata-Q. mongolica-C. laxiflora forest. 4) Mixed mesophytic forest, F. mandshurica forest and C. laxiflora forest, distributed in valley, would maintain the current condition in terms of species composition.

The black pine bast scale, Matsucoccus thunbergianae is one of the most serious insect pest in Japanese black pine, Pinus thunbergii forest in Korea. Insecticidal activity of 10 folds hot water extracts from 7 herbal plants (Atractylodes lancea, Eugenia caryophyllata, Lonicera japonica, Melia azedarach, Quisqualis indica, Sophora flavescens and Taraxacum mongolicum) were tested against different stage of M. thunbergianae using spray method both in laboratory and field. Efficacies of herbal extracts were different depending on stage of M. thunbergianae. Q. indica sprayed with hand sprayer produced the highest corrected mortality of 95.7% on intermidiated nymph stage, however, A. lancea produced the highest corrected mortality (51.3%) on pupae of M. thunbergianae in laboratory. Q. indica and A. lancea were highly effective against female M. thunbergianae in laboratory, however, corrected mortality was lower than other stage (40.0%). Efficacy of Q. indica was similar to effective insecticide, fenitrothion 50% EC against M. thunbergianae in field trials. These results indicated that Q. indica could be an environmental friendly control agent of M. thunbergianae.

In this paper, we implemented for the development of a high output induction lamp system, which lamp design is optimized by gas type, mixing ratio, pressure and discharge tube size, amalgam type and mixing ratio, and characteristics of ferrite core in the lamp. It's the circuit design by improving the power factor and efficiency according to the driving method, which has analyzing the characteristics according to the waveform and frequency. Finally, luminaries design part for applying the optimal lighting system considering the surrounding environment, the characteristics of the lighting circuit for electrodeless lamp has analyzed and the improvement has been proceeded. In conclusion, the driving frequency has optimized at 135kHz with degrading $7{\sim}10^{\circ}C$ based on the results of the optical characteristics of the induction lamp on peak noise FET(Q3,Q4) damage.
SmCo films were deposited on Si(100) substrate by a Nd-YAG pulsed laser ablation of the targets of Sm$\_$100-x/Co$\_$x/ (73$\leq$x$\leq$93) at the substrate temperature of 600∼700$\^{C}$ and the laser beam energy density of Q switching mode or fixed Q mode. The magnetic properties of the films obtained from the Q switching mode exhibited a 4 $\pi$ Ms of 5200∼7700 Gauss, iHc of 190-250 Oe, and 4$\pi$M$\_$r//4$\pi$M$\_$s/ of 0.4∼0.74, respectively, while the fixed Q mode gave the magnetic properties of corresponding films of a 4$\pi$M$\_$r//4$\pi$M$\_$s/ = 0.32∼0.91 and iHc of 430-6290 Oe, respectively. The fixed Q mode gave the better magnetic properties of the SmCo films which seems to be due to a formation of magnetically hard minor phases in droplet of Sm-rich intermetallics. However, the resultant rough surface of the SmCo films is a problem to be solved by a continued study.
During a survey of free-living marine nematodes of Korea, two new marine desmoscolecid nematodes belonging to subgenus Quadricoma Filipjev, 1922 were discovered. Tricoma (Q.) jejuensis sp. nov. and T.(Q.) unipapillata sp. nov. are described based on specimens obtained from washings of coarse sediments from eastern and southern coasts of Korea. Tricoma (Q.) jejuensis sp. nov. is characterized by having 33 quadricomoid body rings and inversion at main ring 23, pentagonal head with truncated anterior end, a pair of ocelli situated at main ring 6, somatic setae comprising of 8 pairs of subdorsal setae and 12 pairs of subventral setae, and relatively short spicules (42-46 ㎛ long). Tricoma (Q.) unipapillata sp. nov. is characterized by 44 quadricomoid body rings and inversion at main ring 32, somatic setae comprising of 7 pairs of subdorsal setae and 10 pairs of subventral setae, globular head truncated anterior end, relatively short and stumpy cephalic setae with cuticular flange, one single naked ventral median genital papillae situated on main ring 20, and spicules with a proximally marked capitulum. Detailed morphological descriptions and illustrations of these two new species are provided in this study.
Non-Lorentyian resonance is predicted to occur in two-photon photoabsorption processes due to the detuning off the intermediate levels. This type of non-Lorentzian resonance is distinct from the asymmetric resonance resulting from the effects of q uantum interference between competing indistinguishable dynamic pathways. The product distributions are shown to be constant near this type of resonance.

This study examined the gender role identity within the Korean context with particular focus on how the changes within Korean society may have impacted on the gender role identities of middle-aged men. This research adapting Q methodology created a sampling distribution of P with 40 middle-aged men aged between 40-59 years old. Each of 40 Q samples were placed in a forced distribution of 9 scales. Secondary analysis of the results was then conducted by principal component factor analysis using the QUANL PC program. Middle-aged men are likely to have traditional masculinity and newly developed femininity, such as caring for others and sensitivity. This means that a consideration of these characteristics needs to understand the gender role identity of middle-aged men.
After kidney transplantation, immunosuppressive medication is essential to enhance the quality of life and survival of the transplanted patient. To promote the medication adherence, subjects are required to have converged attitude with open mind. Medication adherence will depend on the attitude of the psychosocial characteristics and treatment guidelines. The purpose of this study was to identify the specific types and characteristics of medication adherence in the view of kidney transplanted patients. Q-methodology, a technique for extracting subjective opinions, was used. Forty participants completed the Q-sort activity, rating each statement relative to the others. The collected data were analyzed by QUANL PC program. Four types of medication adherence of kidney transplanted patients were identified: 'positive lifestyle management type', 'vigilant appearance management type', 'somber oblivion type', 'vigilant family support type'. Through the identification of attitudes to medication adherence, repeated and individualized medication adherence program will help to prevent graft rejection.
