A Metal Enhanced Flow-Injection Chemiluminescence Method for the Rapid Determination of Norfloxacin in Pharmaceutical Formulations and Serum Sample

  • A simple and highly sensitive chemiluminescence method to determine norfloxacin (NFLX) has been proposed by measuring the chemiluminescence (CL) intensities using a flow injection (FI) system. The CL intensity of the luminol-$H_2O_2$ system is strongly enhanced by the addition of Cu (II) in alkaline condition. The CL intensity is substantially increased after the injection of NFLX into the luminol-$H_2O_2$-Cu (II) system. The enhancement effect is attributed to a catalytic effect of Cu (II) due to the interaction with NFLX which forms a complex with the catalyst. Under the optimal conditions, the sensitizing effect of the CL intensity is proportional to the concentration of NFLX in the range of $1.5{\times}10^{-9}-5.9{\times}10^{-7}molL^{-1}$ (r = 0.9994) with a detection limit ($3{\sigma}$) of $2.98{\times}10^{-10}molL^{-1}$. The proposed method had good reproducibility with the relative standard deviation (RSD, n = 5) of 1.6% for $1{\times}10^{-7}molL^{-1}$ of NFLX. The possible reaction mechanism of the CL reaction is also discussed. This method has been successfully applied for the determination of trace amount of NFLX in pharmaceutical preparations and serum samples.

The Synthesis of Eu3+ Doped with TiO2 Nano-Powder and Application as a Pesticide Sensor

  • Using tetrabutyl titanate as precursor, $Eu^{3+}$ doped $TiO_2$ nano-powder was prepared by sol-gel method, the nature of luminescence of nano-powder was studied. The interaction of chlorpyrifos with $Eu^{3+}$ doped $TiO_2$ was studied by absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. The results indicated the fluorescence intensity of $Eu^{3+}$ doped $TiO_2$ was quenched by chlorpyrifos and the quenching rate constant ($k_q$) was $1.24{\times}10^{11}\;L/mol{\cdot}s$ according to the Stern-Volmer equation. The dynamics of photoinduced electron transfer from chlorpyrifos to conduction band of $TiO_2$ nanoparticle was observed and the mechanism of electron transfer had been confirmed by the calculation of free energy change (${\Delta}G_{et}$) by applying Rehm-Weller equation as well as energy level diagram. A new rapid method for detection of chlorpyrifos was established according to the fluorescence intensity of $Eu^{3+}$ doped $TiO_2$ was proportional to chlorpyrifos concentration. The range of detection was $5.0{\times}10^{-10}-2.5{\times}10^{-7}mol/L$ and the election limit ($3{\sigma}$) was $3.2{\times}10^{-11}$ mol/L.

CPT와 DMT를 이용한 부산점토의 최대전단탄성계수 추정방법에 관한 연구 (The Prediction Method of the Small Strain Shear Modulus for Busan Clay Using CPT and DMT)

  • 본 연구는 콘 관입시험(CTP)과 딜라토미터시험(DMT)을 이용한 부산지역 점토의 최대전단탄성계수 추정($G_{max}$)에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해 부산신항 지역과 녹산지역에서 피에조콘 관입시험(CPT) 및 달라토미터시험(DMT)를 수행하였으며, 비교란 시료를 채취하여 hybrid oedometer 시험을 실시하였다. Oedometer 내벽에 장착된 벤더엘리먼트로 전단파 속도를 측정하여 최대전단탄성계수를 산정하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 부산점토의 최대전단탄성계수와 구속응력, 간극비, 응력이력간의 관계를 파악하였다. 현장시험 및 실내시험을 분석한 결과, $q_t$$G_{max}$의 상관계수 ${\alpha}_G$는 소성지수에 반비례하는 것으로 나타났으며, $E_D$$G_{max}$의 상관계수 $R_G$는 ($I/I_D$)$(p_a/{\sigma}'_v)^{0.5}$와 비례관계를 나타냈다. 이러한 관계를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 CPT와 DMT 시험으로부터 $G_{max}$를 추정하는 방법을 개발하였으며, 제안된 방법은 부산점토의 최대전단탄성계수를 적절하게 예측하는 것으로 관찰되었다.

Ship-Wake 이론을 이용한 잠수함 항적탐색 가능성 (The Detectability of Submarine's Turbulent Wake on the sea surface using Ship-Wake Theory)

  • 자유전단류(Shear free flow) 가정을 이용한 수상함 항적모델을 잠수함에 적용 결과 잠수함 난류항적 지름은 $x^n,\;({\frac{1}{5}}{\leq}n\;<{\frac{1}{2}})$ 에 비례하였으며, 난류항적의 최소 확산을 가정할 때(${\sigma}=50.25$, 즉 ${\infty}\;x^{1/5}$인 경우), 길이65m, 폭 6.5m 속력 6kts 인 잠수함의 난류항적 반지름은 잠수함 함미로부터 1.2Km 후방에서 약 20m, 10Km 후방에서는 약 30m에 달하였고, 해수면에서 관측 가능한 잠수함 난류항적은 잔잔한 해상상태에서 잠수함 후방 약 15Km에 이르는 것으로 나타났으나 쇄파가 발생하는 악천후에서는 해수면에서 난류항적을 관측하기는 매우 제한되었다. 이는 적어도 서해와 같이 얕은 잠수함 작전환경에서는 잠수함 난류항적이 해수면에서 나타나는 것을 의미하며 SAR와 같은 탐지체계를 이용 시 탐색 가능함을 의미한다.

수종의 청열약물의 미백 및 항알러지 효과에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental studies on the Whitening and Anti-allergic effect of various Herbal medicines that clear heat)

  • Objective : In this study, herbal medicine(GJE, Gardenia jasminoides Ellis; HCT, Houttuynia cordata Thunb.; CIL, Chrysanthemum indicum Linne; PMS,Paeonia moutan Sims, P. subfruticosa Makino; APL, Agrimonia pilosa Ledebour) were screened for their inhibitory activities against Tyrosinase and PMA plus A23187-induced $TNF-{\alpha}$, IL-6, IL-8 productions in HMC-1 cells to reveal their skin -whitening and anti-allergic effect. Method : To investigate Tyrosinase inhibition we treated Mushroom Tyrosinase(Fluka, 93898) $10{\mu}{\ell}$ and 7.5mM Tyrosine (Sigma, T3754) $20{\mu}{\ell}$ with 80% ethanol medicine extracts. Then we observed 96well micro plate extinction at 490nm. In the next experiment, to investigate Anti-allergic effect we blended cultured Human Mast Cells(HMC-1) with medicine extracts. We treated the blended solution with Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate(PMA) and A23187, then observed $TNF-{\alpha}$, IL-6, IL-8 by ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) at 450nm. Results : In inhibiting Tyrosinase the results are as follows. 1. We observed 22% inhibition of Mushroom Tyrosinase at $500{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ concentration of GJE extracts. 2. We also could observe that the decreased Mushroom Tyrosinase activities in HCT, CIL extracts. In inhibiing $TNF-{\alpha}$, IL-6, IL-8 productions in HMC-1 cells the results are as follows. 1. Of the extracts examined, HCT, PMS, APL extracts showed over 50% inhibitions of Cytokines at $200{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ concentration. 2. In particular, APL extracts showed the best inhibitory effect on Cytokine productions in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion : These results suggest that GJE extracts contributes to the anti melanin activities and represent a potential source of whitening agent. Thus these herbal medicines suggest novel drugs on anti-allergic effects.

  • 본 논문에서는 차륜을 등방성, 균질 재료라고 가정하였으며 웨브와 림의 두께 가 서로 다른 환형원판으로써 내원주는 고정되고 외원주는 자유라고 가정하였다. 외 원주상의 한 점에서 철로와의 구름조건에 따라 변하는 반경방향의 반력에 의한 내평면 압축응력과 원판의 회전에 의한 내평면 압축응력을 고려하고, 두께가 변하는 웨브와 림의 경계면에서의 연속조건을 이용하여 차륜의 횡진동방정식을 세워서 Rayleigh-Ritz 방법으로 수치해석을 하여 고유진동수와 임계좌굴하중을 계산하고, 실제 차륜의 1/6크 기로 형상화하여 제작한 연성진동장치로 실험하여 이론치와 비교, 검토하였다.

  • According as the member of the automobile body structure have been thinned their thickness and have become high strength, each part of the body structure has been put more severe stress condition. And, because fatigue strength of the spot welded lap joint is influenced by its geometrical and mechanical factors, welding condition and etc., there needs a quantitative and systematic evaluation method for them. In this study, by considering nugget edge of the spot weld part of the IB-type spot welded lap joint under tension-shear load to the ligament crack. fatigue strength of various IB-type spot welded lap joints was estimated with the stress intensity factor(S.I.F.) KIII which is fracture mechanical parameter. We could find that fatigue strength evaluation of the IB-type spot welded lap joints by KIII is more effective than the maximum principal stress ($\sigma$1max) at edge of the spot weld obtained from FEM analysis.

점성진공계 특성연구 (Characteristics study of the spinning rotor gauges)

  • 점성진공계(spinning rotor gauge, SRG)는 고진공영역인 1${\times}$10-5∼100Pa에서 전달표 준기(transfer standard gauge)로 사용되고 있는 진공게이지이다. 제조회사가 각각 Leybold-Heraeus와 MKS회사인 두 개의 SRG에 대해서 질소가스를 사용하여 장기안정성과 적응계수(accommodation coefficient, $sigma$)결정에 영향을 미치는 변수들인 측정압력, 온도, 최 대도달압력(base pressure), 신호분산(signal scattering), 영점(offset)변화에 대한 특성을 10 개월에 걸쳐 조사하였다. 이 결과 장기안정특성 및 입력변수들에 의한 영향이 SRG 고유오 차인 $pm$1.0% 이내에 있음을 확인하였다.

취장 및 간장에 미치는 식이성(食餌性) Ethionine 과 Methionine 의 독성에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Toxicity of Dietary Ethionine and Methionine to Pancreas and Liver)

  • It has been demonstrated repeatedly that the administration of ethionine, a methionine analogue, will produce destruction of pancreatic tissue and liver cells. Destruction of acinar cells of pancreas by the administration of excess methionine similar to that seen after feeding diets supplemented with ethionine was also reported, but the liver was not involved by this amino acid. In an attempt to reproduce the results of these investigators the tissue damages were found to be slight and seen only irregulary in rats receiving ethionine on a complete diet and the result of tissue damages by excess methionine were also controversial. The present studies describe the toxicity of dietary supplemented ethionine and methionine to liver and pancreas in rats fed a low protein diet. Hundred five albino rats weighing around 120 gm were divided into three groups as follows; 1) Control group: A low protein diet containing 8% casein was fed throughout the experimental period. 2) Methionine group: A low protein diet (7% casein) supplemented with 1% methionine was used. 3) Ethionine group: A similar diet as methionine group except the supplementation of 1% ethionine instead of methionine was used. Five animals per wee from each group were killed for 6 weeks. The liver and pancreas were fixed in 10% formalin and histologic sections were prepared and stained with hematoxylin eosin. Serum amylase was expressed as much of glucose liberated from a starch substrate. The glucose was determined by the method of Nelson (1944). Serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT) and glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) were determined by the technique described in Sigma Bulletin.

The Crystal Structure of a $\beta$-Allyl Type Phenylpropanoid 2-(4-allyl-2, 6-dimethoxyphenoxy)-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl) propan-1-ol, from the Seeds of Myristica fragrans

  • The structure of a $\beta$-allyl type phenylpropanoid was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The compound was recrystallized from a mixture of n-hexane and benzene in monoclinic crystal system with a = 24.782 (2), b = 10.537 (1), c = 7.871 (1) ${\AA}, \beta=95.74$ (1)$^\circ, $D_x$=1.216, $D_m$=1.22g/$cm^3$, space group $P2_1/a$, and Z=4. The structure was solved by direct method and refined by least-squares procedure to the final R value of 0.054 for 2824 observed reflections {$F{\geq}3\sigma(F)$}. The molecular geometry shows a most stable trans-form with respect to the bulky phenyls, and this conformation is settled by an intramolecular hydrogen bond. In the crystal, the molecules are arranged along with the screw axis, and stabilized by the $O{\cdot}H{\cdots}O$ type intermolecular hydrogen bonds. The other intermolecular contacts appear to be the normal van der Waals' interactions. The compound is a dimeric phenylpropanoid, and belongs to the neolignan analogues.
