대전.충남지역 근로자의 산업보건관리에 대한 지식태도 실천 조사연구 (A Study on Workers Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of Health Management in Taejon and Chungnam Province)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify K.A.P. of industrial workers on health management. The study was conducted Dec 5, 1992 to March 10, 1993. The results were as follows : 1. The total Score of K.A.P. of industrial worker on the Knowledge of industrial health management was 2.52, the Attitude score was 42, the Practice score 2, 62. 2. The office workers' score on K.A.P.(T=-2. 11, P=.038) Attitude score(T=-2.03, P=.045) were higher than that of productive workers' 3. The K.A.P. score of married worker was higher than that of single workers, and showed significant differences statistically. 4. There are significant statistical differences in the Attitude score of workers according to age(F=2.26, F=.0304). 5. There were statistically significant differences among total Scores of K.A.P. (F=3.1141, P=.0498). Practice score(F=8.4421, P=.0004), Knowledge Score (F=3.5833, P=.0323). Performed 84.7%. 6. The relationship between industrial worker's health level score and industrial health status had reverse relationship(R=-.7689. P<.001) Therefore the companies that performed better health management attained a higher health level.

F9 기형암종 세포에 대한 해양천연물질의 분화 유도 작용 (Differentiation Effect of Marine Natural Compounds on F9 Teratocarcinoma Stem Cells)

  • It has been known that many kinds of cancer are caused by continued proliferation or abnormal differentiation. Thus, recent approaches to anticancer therapy have been focused on developing drugs that induce differentiation of cancer cells to normal cells. A typical differentiation agent, all trans-retinoic acid, is unsuitable for anticancer drug because all trans-retinoic acid produces unfavorable side effects and cytotoxicity in normal cells. Therefore, we have screened some new differentiation-inducing compounds obtained from marine organisms using F9 teratocarcinoma stem cells as a model system. We observed that fatty acid. glycolipid, saponin, sphingosine and sterol compounds of marine organisms had differentiation-inducing activity in F9 cells, were determined by morphological changes and Northern blot analysis. The expression of differentiation marker genes, such as laminin B1, type IV collagen and retinoic acid receptor beta were induced by treatment with those compounds.

PVdF-HFP/TiO2 나노복합체 보호층을 통한 리튬금속전지 음극의 전기화학적 성능 향상 (Nanostructured PVdF-HFP/TiO2 Composite as Protective Layer on Lithium Metal Battery Anode with Enhanced Electrochemical Performance)

  • 고용량 배터리에 대한 요구가 증가에 따라 기존 음극재보다 높은 용량(3,860 mAh/g)과 낮은 전기화학적 전위(-3.040 V)를 갖는 리튬 금속 기반 음극재에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 수열 합성을 통해 제작된 아나타제(anatase) 타입의 TiO2 나노 입자 기반한 PVdF-HFP/TiO2 복합체를 리튬 금속 음극의 계면 보호층으로 적용하였다. 결정구조 및 형상 분석을 통해 유/무기-리튬 나노복합체 박막의 형성을 확인하였다. 또한, 전지화학 테스트(사이클 테스트 및 전압 프로파일)를 통해 리튬 금속 음극의 전기화학 성능 은 복합체 보호막이 TiO2 10 wt%, 코팅 두께 1.1 ㎛의 조건에서 가장 개선된 전기화학적 성능(콜롱 효율 유지: 77 사이클 동안 90% 이상) 발현을 확인하였다. 이를 통해, 처리하지 않은 리튬 전극 대비 본 보호층에 의한 리튬 금속 음극의 성능 안정화/개선 효과가 검증되었다.

산업장 근로자의 건강증진 행위 (A Study on the Industrial Workers' Health Promoting Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the major factors affecting performance of health promoting behavior and Pender's health promotion model was examined. The subjects were 508 workers employed in 4 manufacturing industries, data was collected from May 19th to 24th, 1997 using questionaires and it was used convenient sampling method. Data were analyzed by SPSS Win 6.1 program. The results of this study were as follows 1. The average score of health promoting behavior was 2.47. 2. The Health promoting behavior in the relationships between health promoting behavior and demographic factors, there is statistically significant difference in age(F=2.56, P=.0378), religion(F=6.34, P=.0001), working type(F=4.56, P=.0036)variables. 3. The performance score of health promoting behavior was statistically positively correlated with Definition of health(r=.2471. P=.000), Self-efficacy(r=.1385, P=.002), Internal health locus of control(r=.126, P=.000), External health locus of control(r=.2550, P=.000), Chance health locus of control(r=.3023, P=.000), but negatively with Perceived health status(r=-.2076, P=.000). 4. The major factors were Chance health locus of control. Definition of health, working hours, self-efficacy, External health locus of control. and explained for $39.58\%$ of Health promoting behavior performance score.

EFFECT OF GONADOTROPHINS ON FOLLICULAR STEROID HORMONE PRODUCTION IN HYPOPHYSECTOMISED HENS (Gallus domesticus)

  • We assessed effects of ovine luteinizing hormone (oLH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (oFSH) on the granulose and theca layers from the four largest follicles, $F_1-F_4$ of hens which had been hypophysectomized 12 h before expected ovulation. Ovine LH (0.4 mg), oFSH (0.4 mg) or oLH in combination with oFSH (0.4 mg each) was injected intravenously 6 h after hypophysectomy. Progesterone, testosterone and $estradiol-17{\beta}$ levels of the granulose and theca layers which were removed 6 h after hormone injection, were measured by radioimmunoassay. Progesterone contents of $F_1-F_3$ granulosa layer at 12 h after hypophysectomy were much lower than those of control hens. This reduced progesterone level was restored partially by the injection of oLH alone for $F_1$, while no follicles responded to oFSH treatment. In contrast, the injection of oLH in combination with oFSH resulted in high progesterone content of the granulose layer from all four follicles. Progesterone content of the theca layer was negligible in all treatments. Simultaneous injection of oLH and oFSH also elevated $estradiol-17{\beta}$ level accumulating in the theca layer from all follicles, of which much higher concentrations of $estradiol-17{\beta}$ were observed when comparison were made to each of their corresponding controls. No appreciable change in testosterone contents of two layers was observed in the present experiments. These results suggest that oFSH augments function of oLH to stimulate the production of progesterone in the granulose layer and $estradiol-17{\beta}$ in the theca layer.

  • We have examined conduction properties and electrochemical properties of MCMB 6-28 and MPCF 3000. As results, electrical conductivity of carbon decreased with increasing the number of intercalated lithium ion. MCMB and MPCF showed reversible redox reaction, and the potentials of the oxidized and reduced peaks were 0.3V and 0V, respectively. First discharge capacity of MCMB was 190㎃f/g and that of MPCF was 220㎃h/g. MPCF has good properties for lithium secondary battery.

  • In this study Al electrode for OLED was deposited by FTS(Facing Targets Sputtering) system which can deposit thin films with low substrate damage. The Al thin films were deposited on the cell (LiF/EML/HTL/Bottom electrode) as a function of working gas such as Ar, Kr or mixed gas. Also Al thin films were prepared with working gas pressure (1, 6 mTorr ). The film thickness and I-V curve of Al/cell were evaluated by $\alpha$-step and semiconductor parameter (HP4156A) measurement.

  • The purpose of this study is to research and develop polypyrrole(PPy) positive for thin film rechargeable lithium battery. We investigated cyclic voltammetry, AC impedance response and charge/discharge cycling of PPy/SPE/Li cells as a function of temperature. The redox capacity of $PPy/CF_{3}SO_{3}$ film was the most large. The discharge capacity of PPy/SPE/Li cell with $PPy/CF_{3}SO_{3}$ film was higher than those of $PPy/ClO_{4}$ and $PPy/AsF_6$ films at all cycles. The energy density of PPy/SPE/Li cells during 1st cycle was 73, 90 and 101Wh/kg at $25^{\circ}C$, $45^{\circ}C$ and $60^{\circ}C$, respectively. The improvement of energy density is due to reduction of charge-transfer resistance associated doping-undoping process in PPy film with Increasing temperature. $PPy/CF_{3}SO_{3}$ film shows a good property on charge/discharge cycling in PEO-$LiClO_4$-PC-EC electrolyte.

β-catenin protein utilized by Tumour necrosis factor-α in porcine preadipocytes to suppress differentiation

  • The Wnt/$\beta$-catenin signaling pathway alters adipocyte differentiation by inhibiting adipogenic gene expression. $\beta$-catenin plays a central role in the Wnt/$\beta$-catenin signaling pathway. In this study, we revealed that tumour necrosis factor-$\alpha$ (TNF-$\alpha$), a potential negative regulator of adipocyte differentiation, inhibits porcine adipogenesis through activation of the Wnt/$\beta$-catenin signaling pathway. Under the optimal concentration of TNF-$\alpha$, the intracellular $\beta$-catenin protein was stabilized. Thus, the intracellular lipid accumulation of porcine preadipocyte was suppressed and the expression of important adipocyte marker genes, including peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-$\gamma$ (PPAR$\gamma$) and CCAAT/enhancer binding protein-$\alpha$ (C/EBP$\alpha$), were inhibited. However, a loss of $\beta$-catenin in porcine preadipocytes enhanced the adipogenic differentiation and attenuated TNF-$\alpha$ induced anti-adipogenesis. Taken together, this study indicated that TNF-$\alpha$ inhibits adipogenesis through stabilization of $\beta$-catenin protein in porcine preadipocytes.
