DEGENERATE VOLTERRA EQUATIONS IN BANACH SPACES

  • This paper is concerned with degenerate Volterra equations Mu(t) + ∫(sub)0(sup)t k(t-s) Lu(s)ds = f(t) in Banach spaces both in the hyperbolic case, and the parabolic one. The key assumption is played by the representation of the underlying space X as a direct sum X = N(T) + R(T), where T is the bounded linear operator T = ML(sup)-1. Hyperbolicity means that the part T of T in R(T) is an abstract potential operator, i.e., -T(sup)-1 generates a C(sub)0-semigroup, and parabolicity means that -T(sup)-1 generates an analytic semigroup. A maximal regularity result is obtained for parabolic equations. We will also investigate the cases where the kernel k($.$) is degenerated or singular at t=0 using the results of Pruss[8] on analytic resolvents. Finally, we consider the case where $\lambda$ is a pole for ($\lambda$L + M)(sup)-1.

Analysis of the North Galactic Pole region with FIMS

  • Cooling hot gas sets a floor on the ionization level for diffuse gas in the ISM in general and the galactic halo. Many high galactic latitude sight lines, cooling hot gas is the dominant source of the ionization. Such sites are prime regions for the formation of both C IV and Si IV ions at a temperature of T~105K. To study of the ISM that have the 104.5~6K ionization state by ionization or photoionization by the collision, searching for the radiation energy that is emitted at far ultra violet range is required. In this paper, we report the analysis of NGP( North Galactic Pole, $l:270^{\circ},b:90^{\circ},rad:40^{\circ}$) region by fuv($1350{\sim}1750{\AA}$) data that are surveyed with FIMS. After making the FIMS FUV image of the NGP region, we divided up into 50 small regions for that and got the spectrum emission lines from each one.

  • 본 논문에서는 선형 시불변 시스템에 대해 상태되먹임을 이용한 폐루프계의 지정된 영역내의 극배치법을 제안한다. 본 제안된 기법은 해밀톤 행렬의 하중행렬 Q의 설정에 의해 지정된 영역 (α중심, γ반경)내에 극배치가 가능함을 보인다. 먼저, Gershgorin의 이론을 적용하기 위해 해밀톤 행렬을 등가 변환시킨 후 행렬의 각 계수를 α와 γ의 관계를 이용하여 유도한다. 위의 관계를 만족하는 해밀톤 행렬의 각 하중행렬과 변환행렬을 이용하여 폐루프계의 상태되먹임 제어칙을 구한다. 또한 본 기법은 해밀톤 행렬과 최적제어와의 관계를 지니고 있으므로 얻어진 폐루프계는 최적제어법에서와 동일한 강인함을 가지게 된다. 끝으로 예제를 통하여 지정된 영역내의 극배치가 이루어짐을 보인다.

  • Tricyanopyrrolidene chromophores were prepared in order to compare their macroscopic nonlinear optical (NLO) properties with a conjugated structure through the long molecular axis. A thiophene or phenyl ring was tethered to an ethylenic bond; it may act as a lateral moiety to disrupt the planarity of a chromophore and lessen the electrostatic interaction. Thin film composites of these chromophores dissolved in amorphous polycarbonate (APC) were fabricated. Real time pole and probe method was employed to investigate the change of electro-optic (EO) signal during poling. The EO properties and their relaxation behaviors of the guest-host systems containing newly synthesized chromophores were investigated in detail.

  • A controller disign method is proposed for multivariable nonlinear stochastic systems with hard nonlinearities such as Coulomb friction, backlash and saturation. In order to take the nonlinearities into account statistical linearization techniques are used. And multi- variable pole placement techniques are applied to design controller for the statistically linearized multivariable systems. The basic concept of the controller design method is to solve two coupled equations, characteristic equation and Lyapunov equation, simultaneously and iteratively for statistically linearized multivariable stochastic systems. An aircraft with saturation serves as a design example. The design example illustrates the influence of nonlinear effects. The results of the analysis are compared to Monte Carlo simulation to test their accuracy.

건식 진공 펌프의 배기 소음 저감 (Exhaust Noise Reduction of Dry Vacuum Pump)

  • This paper considers acoustic characteristics of silencer within a dry vacuum pump. The main objective is to reduce noise in dry vacuum pump using the new designed silencer. First, SPL and sound intensity are measured for noise source identification and the new model silencer is designed corresponding to noise characteristics. 4-pole parameters are used to predict the transmission loss which is one of the interest characteristics of the new silencer. The calculated transmission loss is then used to change main effective factor and optimal value is selected by using design of experiment. By conducting an experiment, it is proved that the new designed silencer has reduced noise level by 6 dB(A) more than the original one.

부갑상선 선종에 의한 원발성 부갑상선 기능 항진증 (Primary Hyperparathyroidism due to Parathyroid Adenoma)

  • A case of primary hyperparathyroidism due to parathyroid adenoma is presented. A 14 year-old male was admitted to the hospital comptaining of voiding difficulty. The intravenous pyelogram demonstrated a stone in the proximal one third of the left ureter and marked hydronephrosis of the left kidney. The Tc-99m sestamibi nuclear scan demonstrated a hot spot below the lower pole of the left lobe of the thyroid. Laboratory study demonstrated hypercalcemia (12.4 mg/dL) and elevated parathyroid hormone (143.67 pg/mL). A parathyroid gland located below the lower pole of the left lobe of the thyroid was excised. A parathyroid adenoma, consisting of mainly chief cells was found on pathologic examination. Postoperatively the patient had transient hypocalcemic symptoms, which resolved with administration of calcium preparation and vitamin D.

  • Outer rotor type in-wheel switched reluctance motor for Welfare neighborhood electric vehicle is researched. In-wheel system is to drive the electric vehicle without mechanical transmission, shaft, differential gears or other mechanical system. To calculate drive power for each wheels, the elder's and disable's safety driving conditions are considered. The designed outer rotor SRM has a 6-stator and 8-rotor pole. The determined dimensions as well as the stator and rotor pole arc are simulated and tested with CAD and finite element analysis to verify the performance of the proposed motor.

A Single-Pole, Eight-Throw, Radio-Frequency, MicroElectroMechanical Systems Switch for Multi-Band / Multi-Mode Front-End Module

  • This paper presents a single-pole eight-throw(SP8T) switch based on proposed a radio-frequency(RF) microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) switches. The proposed switch was driven by a double stop(DS) comb drive, with a lateral resistive contact. Additionally, the proposed switch was designed to have tapered signal line and bi-directionally actuated. A forward actuation connects between signal lines and contact part, and the output becomes on-state. A reverse actuation connects between ground lines and contact part, and the output becomes off-state. The SP8T switch of 3-stage tree topology was developed based on an arrangement of the proposed RF MEMS switches. The developed SP8T switch had an actuation voltage of 12 V, an insertion loss of 1.3 dB, a return loss of 15.1 dB, and an isolation of 31.4 dB at 6 GHz.
