In the modern age, it is important for people to maintain a good sitting posture because they spend long hours sitting. Posture correction treatment requires a great deal of time and expenses with continuous observation by a specialist. Therefore, there is a need for a system with which users can judge and correct their postures on their own. In this study, we collected users' postures and judged whether they are normal or abnormal. To obtain a user's posture, we propose a four-joint motion capture system that uses inertial sensors. The system collects the subject's postures, and features are extracted from the collected data to build a database. The data in the DB are classified into normal and abnormal postures after posture learning using the K-means clustering algorithm. An experiment was performed to classify the posture from the joints' rotation angles and positions; the normal posture judgment reached a success rate of 99.79%. This result suggests that the features of the four joints can be used to judge and help correct a user's posture through application to a spinal disease prevention system in the future.
This study investigated the effects of corrective exercise and TECAR on cervical alignment, pain threshold, and pain in forward head posture patients. The subject includes 30 forward head posture patients. In the intervention methods, the experimental group combined corrective exercise and TECAR treatment. Only the corrective exercise was applied to the control group. Assessments were made on cervico vertebra angle (CV angle), pain pressure threshold (PPT) and neck disability index (NDI) visual analog scale (VAS). The intervention was conducted six times a week for two weeks. Both groups showed significant differences in CV angle, PPT, NDI, and VAS. Also, PPT, NDI, and VAS excluding CV angle were significantly improved in the study group compared to the control group. These results suggest that the intervention method that combines corrective exercise and TECAR treatment has a more positive effect on pain and ADL ability of forward head posture patient.

Recently, modern people are increasing the incidence of various musculoskeletal diseases due to wrong posture. Prevention is possible through proper posture habit, but it is not easy to recognize posture by oneself. Various studies have been conducted to monitor persistent posture in daily life, but most studies using constrained measurement methods and high-cost measurement equipment are not suitable for daily life. In this paper, we implemented a posture discrimination system using a FSR sensor array that can induce posture correction spontaneously through sitting posture monitoring in daily life. The implemented system is designed as a cushion type so it is easy to apply to existing chair. In addition, it can identify five most common postures in everyday life, and can monitor real-time through Android-based smart-phone monitoring application. For the performance evaluation of the implemented system, each posture was measured 50 times repeatedly. As a result, 97.6% accuracy was confirmed.

At present, megavoltage computed tomography (MVCT) is the only method used to correct the position of tomotherapy patients. MVCT produces extra radiation, in addition to the radiation used for treatment, and repositioning also takes up much of the total treatment time. To address these issues, we suggest the use of a video image-guided setup (VIGS) system for correcting the position of tomotherapy patients. We developed an in-house program to correct the exact position of patients using two orthogonal images obtained from two video cameras installed at $90^{\circ}$ and fastened inside the tomotherapy gantry. The system is programmed to make automatic registration possible with the use of edge detection of the user-defined region of interest (ROI). A head-and-neck patient is then simulated using a humanoid phantom. After taking the computed tomography (CT) image, tomotherapy planning is performed. To mimic a clinical treatment course, we used an immobilization device to position the phantom on the tomotherapy couch and, using MVCT, corrected its position to match the one captured when the treatment was planned. Video images of the corrected position were used as reference images for the VIGS system. First, the position was repeatedly corrected 10 times using MVCT, and based on the saved reference video image, the patient position was then corrected 10 times using the VIGS method. Thereafter, the results of the two correction methods were compared. The results demonstrated that patient positioning using a video-imaging method ($41.7{\pm}11.2$ seconds) significantly reduces the overall time of the MVCT method ($420{\pm}6$ seconds) (p<0.05). However, there was no meaningful difference in accuracy between the two methods (x=0.11 mm, y=0.27 mm, z=0.58 mm, p>0.05). Because VIGS provides a more accurate result and reduces the required time, compared with the MVCT method, it is expected to manage the overall tomotherapy treatment process more efficiently.

Recently, the number of patients with habitual vertebrae is increasing due to inappropriate postures and habits while sitting on a chair for a long time, because modern people have a great deal of work and studying due to a lot of work and study. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent such a disease through real-time monitoring and to present a guide for the user to recognize the importance of correct posture. In this study, we implemented a posture discrimination system which can help users to calibrate posture by judging the user's sitting position and feedback by using a pressure sensor based weight distribution system. We analyzed the distribution pattern of body weight to determine one normal posture and six abnormal postures. If the abnormal posture is maintained constantly, the implementation of the application that induces the right posture by ringing the notification is described.

This study was performed to evaluate the reproducibility of natural head position according to skeletal malocclusion types and sex using cephalometric radiographs for establishing orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. The sample consisted of 90 young adults (male 45, female 45) who had the skeletal malocclusion. Cephalometric radiographs were taken in natural head position, and statistical analysis was performed and method error of 6 postural variables were estimated to evaluate the reproducibility of the natural head position. The following results were obtained : 1. In the reproducibility of the natural head position, postural variables had no statistical significance In male and female (P>0.05). 2. In the reproducibility of the natural head position, postural variables had no statistical significance in Class I, II, III, and total group (P>0.05). 3. The reproducibility of natural head position using method error was excellent in all groups.
The purpose of this study is to understand the principles of Balletfit and its program structure and to establish Balletfit's effects on body shape change and postural correction. Interview, the most commonly used method of qualitative research, was chosen as the research method. Ten Balletfit class participants, who have attended private lessons twice per week, for three to six months period of time, were selected. These participants were chosen from participants of private lessons instead of group lessons for in-depth insights. The research was limited to a small group of participants and therefore, it is difficult to standardize the result. Also, because this study is based on the opinions of the participants, not by a posture measuring device, the accuracy of the result is limited as well. The followings are the conclusion of this research. First, the participation motive was either internet research or acquaintance's recommendation. Secondly, the effort to change the body shape. After experiencing Balletfit classes, the participants became aware of their body and made an effort to recover their posture by holding the stomach tight and sitting up correctly. Thirdly, their posture became ideal. Most participants became aware of what an ideal posture is and as their body became ideal, the participants also recovered their health by becoming aware of their inner and outer body. Lastly, they tend to prefer beautiful body line. After the experience, all participants became interested in the body line and preferred to build a beautiful body line with correct postures. The most significant effect of Balletfit was the body line. Therefore, the experience of Balletfit develops the inner and outer body awareness and also can be consider to effect the change of the body shape. Balletfit will become a satisfying exercise for modern people, who desire a beautiful, healthy body.

Musculoskeletal disease is often caused by sitting down for long period's time or by bad posture habits. In order to prevent musculoskeletal disease in daily life, it is the most important to correct the bad sitting posture to the right one through real-time monitoring. In this study, to detect the sitting information of user's without any constraints, we propose posture measurement system based on multi-channel pressure sensor and CNN model for classifying sitting posture types. The proposed CNN model can analyze 5 types of sitting postures based on sitting posture information. For the performance assessment of posture classification CNN model through field test, the accuracy, recall, precision, and F1 of the classification results were checked with 10 subjects. As the experiment results, 99.84% of accuracy, 99.6% of recall, 99.6% of precision, and 99.6% of F1 were verified.
