This paper proposes an algorithm for odd, doubly even, and singly even magic squares. In constructing an odd magic square, de la $Loub{\grave{e}}re^{\prime}s$ method is widely known and used, but it has an inherent defect of executing $O(n^2)$ steps. 2 types of cross algorithms have been proposed to the double even magic square, and more to the singly even magic square based on the odd magic square of ${\frac{n}{2}}{\times}{\frac{n}{2}}$, the most popular and simple of which is one proposed by Strachey. The algorithm proposed in this paper successfully constructs odd and doubly even magic squares by undergoing 3 steps and 4 steps respectively. It also directly constructs a singly even magic square without having its basis on the odd magic square.

이 논문은 에지나 정점, 혹은 모두에 고장이 있는 이중 루프 네트워크의 해밀톤 성질을 고려한다. 이중 루프 네트워크 G(mn;1,m)은 m$\times$m 그리드 그래프에 에지를 추가한 4-정규 그래프이다. m 과 n 이 모두 짝수인 이중 루프 네트워크 G(mn;1,m)은 고장난 요소(에지와 정점)의 수가 1이하인 경우에 해밀톤 연결되어 있고, 고장난 요소의 수가 2 이하인 경우에 항상 해밀톤 사이클을 가짐을 보인다.

The effect of carbon number of hydrocarbon used as a carbon source in the production of cellular lipid of Rhodotorula sp. and its fatty acid composition were investigated. Using Rhodotorula sp. on n-tetradecane and n-hexadecane whose carbon numbers are even, fermentation was carried out in a jar fermentor of 2 liter-capacity at $28^{\circ}C$, with pH range of 4.0∼4.6 and at oxygen flowing rate of 0. 4 vvm and agitation velocity of 1000 rpm. Drying the produced cell after completion of fermentation, cellular lipid was extracted from the cell using soxhlet extractor and examined its fatty acid composition by gas-liquid chromatography. Cellular lipid content in the cell produced on n-tetradecane and n-hexadecane were 12.0 % and 25,8 % on the basis of dry cell weight, respectively and their fatty acids were mostly even numbered in carbon number.

This paper finds the regular pattern of n = [3, ∞] for Euler square game related with n = 6(6×6=36) thirty-six officer problem that is still unsolved problem. The solution of this problem is exists for n = [3, 10] without n = 6. Also, previous researchers finds the random assigned solution for specific number using computer programming. Therefore, the solution of n = [11, ∞] Euler squares are unsolved problem because of anything but easy. This paper attempts to find generalized patterns for domains that have been extended to n = [3, ∞], while existing studies have been limited to n = [3, 10]. This paper classify the n = [3, ∞] into n = odd, 4k even, 4k+2 even of three classes. Then we find the simple regular pattern solution for n = odd and 4k even(n/2 = even). But we can't find the regular pattern for 4k+2 even(n/2 = odd).

A homologous series of linear liquid crystal dimers, ${\alpha},{\omega}$-bis(4-nitroazobenzene-4'-carbonyloxy)alkanes (NATWESn, n = 2~8, 10, the number of methylene units in the spacer) have been synthesized, and the thermal behavior of the series has been investigated. All the dimers formed enantiotropic nematic phases. The nematic-isotropic transition temperatures of the dimers and their entropy variation at the phase transition showed a large odd-even effect as a function of n. This behavior was rationalized in terms of the change in the average shape of the spacer on varing the parity of the spacer. The thermal stability and degree of order in the nematic phase and the magnitude of the odd-even effect of NATWESn were very similar to those of the corresponding ether compounds, while they were significantly different from those of the monomesogenic compounds, 4-{4'-(nitrophenylazo)phenoxy}alkanoyl chlorides and the side-chain liquid-crystalline polymers, the poly[1-{4-(4'-nitrophenylazo) phenoxycarbonylalkanoyloxy}ethylene]s. The results were discussed in terms of the 'irtual trimer model'by Imrie.

An adaptive Odd/Even Multi-shell Median Filter(Adaptive O/E MMF) is proposed by using a adaptive threshold strategy and odd/even multishells. This algorithm was verified in MATLAB and implemented on FPGA. The performance of the algorithm is evaluated by adding impulse noise and line missing into well-known images. A proposed adaptive threshold strategy may reduce the computation time and redundant arrangement. odd and even multishells can recover line missing of vertical and diagonal directions respectively Therefore, the algorithm proposed in this work can be effectively used in real time image processing applications.

재귀원형군 G(2m, 2k)는 다음의 조건을 만족할 때 길이가 l인사이클을 가지며, 정점이 서로소이고 길이가 l인 2m/l 개의 사이클로 분할할 수 있음을 보인다: (i) l은 짝수이고 4$\leq$l$\leq$2m, 혹은 (ii) l은 홀수이고 2k+1$\leq$l$\leq$2m. 이 조건은 사이클 존재와 사이클 분할 문제에 대해서 필요충분조건이 된다.

3상 독립형 인버터의 비대칭 출력 전압은 부하의 불평형에 의하여 야기되며 암 단락을 방지하기 위한 데드타임은 출력 전압에 비선형적인 특성을 발생시킨다. 인버터가 불평형부하 구동 시 3상 출력전압은 불평형의 홀수배 고조파를, 동기좌표계 상에서 dq전압은 서로 크기가 다른 짝수배 고조파를 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 불평형부하에 따른 불평형 출력 전압을 평형으로 유지하는 동시에 공진제어를 이용하여 데드타임에 의한 불평형 고조파를 보상하는 전압제어기를 제안하였으며 10kW 용량의 독립형 인버터를 제작하여 제안한 제어기법의 타당성을 입증하였다. 실험을 통해 출력 전압의 THD는 4.3%에서 1.5%로, 불평형율은 4.3%에서 1.1%로 감소함을 확인하였다.

In this paper, we define ideal autocorrelation property for balanced quaternary sequence with even period. We also prove that our definition is ideal autocorrelation property for balanced quaternary sequence with even period. Furthermore, we propose a generation method of quaternary sequence with ideal autocorrelation property of period $2{\times}(2^n-1)$ using a binary sequence with ideal autocorrelation of period $2^n-1$ and Gray mapping. We also derive the autocorrelation value distribution of the newly proposed quaternary sequence.

Two kinds of nitroazobenzene derivatives: 4-{4'-(nitrophenylazo)phenoxy}alkanoic acids (NAAn, n = 2~8, 10, number of methylene units in the alkyl chain) and 4-{4'-(nitrophenylazo)phenoxy}alkanoyl chlorides (NACn, n = 2~8, 10) were synthesized, and their thermotropic liquid crystalline behaviors were investigated. NAA6 formed an enantiotropic nematic phase, while the remainders, except NAA2, showed monotropic nematic phases. Isotropic-nematic transition temperature ($T_{iN}$) and change of entropy (${\Delta}S$) at $T_{iN}$ for both of NAAn and NACn varied by the change of n, and pronounced odd-even effects of n were also observed. However, the $T_{iN}$ and ${\Delta}S$ values of NAAn were much higher than those of NACn. This fact may be attributed to the hydrogen bonding between carboxyl groups. Thermal properties and degree of order in the mesophase and the magnitude of the odd-even effects of both NAAn and NACn were significantly different from those reported for 4-(alkoxy)-4'-nitroazobenzenes. It was discussed in terms of the differences in the molecular anisotropy and the temperature-dependent flexibility of the substituted groups.
