Purpose: Helmet type bolus for 3D printer is being manufactured because of the disadvantages of Bolus materials when photon beam is used for the treatment of scalp malignancy. However, PLA, which is a used material, has a higher density than a tissue equivalent material and inconveniences occur when the patient wears PLA. In this study, we try to treat malignant scalp tumors by using M3 wax helmet with 3D printer. Methods and materials: For the modeling of the helmet type M3 wax, the head phantom was photographed by CT, which was acquired with a DICOM file. The part for helmet on the scalp was made with Helmet contour. The M3 Wax helmet was made by dissolving paraffin wax, mixing magnesium oxide and calcium carbonate, solidifying it in a PLA 3D helmet, and then eliminated PLA 3D Helmet of the surface. The treatment plan was based on Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) of 10 Portals, and the therapeutic dose was 200 cGy, using Analytical Anisotropic Algorithm (AAA) of Eclipse. Then, the dose was verified by using EBT3 film and Mosfet (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor: USA), and the IMRT plan was measured 3 times in 3 parts by reproducing the phantom of the head human model under the same condition with the CT simulation room. Results: The Hounsfield unit (HU) of the bolus measured by CT was $52{\pm}37.1$. The dose of TPS was 186.6 cGy, 193.2 cGy and 190.6 cGy at the M3 Wax bolus measurement points of A, B and C, and the dose measured three times at Mostet was $179.66{\pm}2.62cGy$, $184.33{\pm}1.24cGy$ and $195.33{\pm}1.69cGy$. And the error rates were -3.71 %, -4.59 %, and 2.48 %. The dose measured with EBT3 film was $182.00{\pm}1.63cGy$, $193.66{\pm}2.05cGy$ and $196{\pm}2.16cGy$. The error rates were -2.46 %, 0.23 % and 2.83 %. Conclusions: The thickness of the M3 wax bolus was 2 cm, which could help the treatment plan to be established by easily lowering the dose of the brain part. The maximum error rate of the scalp surface dose was measured within 5 % and generally within 3 %, even in the A, B, C measurements of dosimeters of EBT3 film and Mosfet in the treatment dose verification. The making period of M3 wax bolus is shorter, cheaper than that of 3D printer, can be reused and is very useful for the treatment of scalp malignancies as human tissue equivalent material. Therefore, we think that the use of casting type M3 wax bolus, which will complement the making period and cost of high capacity Bolus and Compensator in 3D printer, will increase later.
To estimate daily canopy photosynthesis, accurate estimation of canopy light interception according to a daily solar position is needed. However, this process needs a lot of cost, time, manpower, and difficulty when measuring manually. Various modeling approaches have been applied so far, but it was difficult to accurately estimate light interception by conventional methods. The objective of this study is to estimate the spatial distributions of light interception and photosynthetic rate of paprika with time by using 3D-scanned plant models and optical simulation. Structural models of greenhouse paprika were constructed with a portable 3D scanner. To investigate the change in canopy light interception by surrounding plants, the 3D paprika models were arranged at $1{\times}1$ and $9{\times}9$ isotropic forms with a distance of 60 cm between plants. The light interception was obtained by optical simulation, and the photosynthetic rate was calculated by a rectangular hyperbola model. The spatial distributions of canopy light interception of the 3D paprika model showed different patterns with solar altitude at 9:00, 12:00, and 15:00. The total canopy light interception decreased with an increase of surrounding plants like an arrangement of $9{\times}9$, and the decreasing rate was lowest at 12:00. The canopy photosynthetic rate showed a similar tendency with the canopy light interception, but its decreasing rate was lower than that of the light interception due to the saturation of photosynthetic rate of upper leaves of the plants. In this study, by using the 3D-scanned plant model and optical simulation, it was possible to analyze the light interception and photosynthesis of plant canopy under various conditions, and it can be an effective way to estimate accurate light interception and photosynthesis of plants.
In this study, an interactive analysis considering column-pile interaction is performed on the basis of an equivalent base spring model for supplementing virtual fixed point design of bent pile structures. Through this analytical method, the application of the minimum steel reinforcement ratio of the pile (0.4%) is analyzed by taking into account the major influencing parameters. Furthermore, the limit depth for steel reinforcement ratio is proposed through the relationships between column and pile conditions. To obtain the detailed information, it is found that an interactive analysis is intermediate in theoretical accuracy between the virtual fixed point model analysis and full-modeling analysis. Base on this study, it is also found that the maximum bending moment is located within cracking moment of the pile when material nonlinearity is considered. Therefore, the minimum steel reinforcement ratio is appropriately applicable for the optimal design of bent pile structures. Finally, the limit depth for steel reinforcement ratio ($L_{As=x%}$) is proposed by considering the field measured results. It is shown that the normalized limit depth ratio for steel reinforcement ratio ($L_{As=x%}/L_P$) decreases linearly as the length-diameter ratio of pile ($L_P/D_P$) increases, and then converges at a constant value.

This study was conducted as a post - study on the development of a centralized controller and a hydraulic lift system including structural analysis and remote control for the development of a vertically elevated car. The safety review was carried out through the structural modification of the elevator lift which was developed during the previous research. 3D modeling was performed with Solidworks, and a model of finite element was created through Hypermesh S / W. In addition, the loading environment of the work vehicle for the evaluation is a condition in which the loading amount is 250 kg per position (total, upper, upper, lower, and lower) on the work table, ), The structural analysis was carried out under the condition that the load was 600 kg, and safety was examined in various aspects. As a result, when the allowable load of 250 kg and the excess load of 600 kg are excluded (except Case-11), the stress level is below the yield strength. In the case of Case-11, there is a region exceeding the yield strength at the center support portion of the safety bar at the upper end even after excluding the component which generates the maximum stress, but it does not affect the safety aspect of the whole structure Respectively. Looking at the deflection results, it can be seen that in all cases the maximum deflection occurs in the same table, and the tendency of sagging in both 250 kg and 600 kg is the same.

The purpose of this study is to identify the flow resistance of the bottom trawl net. The bottom trawl net being used in the training ship of Chonnam National University was selected as a full-scale net, and model nets such as 1/10, 1/25 and 1/50 of the actual net were made. Total resistance of the net part, the height of the net mouth and the flow resistance of components of the net such as wing, bag and cod-end part was measured, converted into full-scale and compared. Additionally, the model rule of Tauti (1934), which has been most frequently used in fishing net modeling experiments, was applied to interpret flow resistance and scale effect of model experiment was investigated. Presumed that the flow resistance R is $R=kS{\upsilon}^2$ against the flow velocity of each net ${\upsilon}$, resistance coefficient k was calculated by substituting R, ${\upsilon}$ and S of the net. From the result, it was found that k decreases exponentially when u increases which makes $k=c{\upsilon}^{-m}$. Whereas m of each net is ranged between 0.13-0.16 and there was not significant difference between nets. c does not show big difference in 1/10 and 1/25 model and the value itself was relatively bigger than in 1/50 model. The height of the net mouth of 1/25 and 1/50 model net h decreases exponentially according as ${\upsilon}$ increases to make $h=d{\upsilon}^{-n}$. Whereas d and n values were almost same in two nets. Additionally, when resistance of cod-end, wing and bag part in 1/25 and 1/50 model nets, both nets showed big resistance in bag part when flow is 1m/s as more than 60%. Wing and cod-end part showed almost same value or wing part had little bit larger value. On the other hand, when reviewing the reasons why both models showed difference in 1/50 model while c value against the resistance coefficient k did not show big difference in 1/10 and 1/25 model, it is inferred that the difference occurred not from material difference but from the difference in net size according to scale. It was judged that they are the scale effects concomitant to the model experiments.
The major petroglyphs of Bangudae site were composed mainly of hornfelsed shale. Surface of the rock was formed weathering layer (average porosity 25%) that discriminated mineral and chemical composition against fresh rock (average porosity 0.4%). The lost area of major petroglyphs in the past up images carved to the present was calculated about 23.8%. And occurrence area of exfoliation indicated 1.2% of the whole petroglyphs. As a result of the chromaticity analysis, color of the major petroglyphs was changed brighter and yellower than fresh rock by chemical and biological weathering factors. Average ultrasonic velocity of petroglyphs was measured 2,865m/s. This result indicated that ultrasonic velocity decreased especially bottom of petroglyphs than measured result in 2003 year. The results of the evaluation for slope stability, it identified the possibility of toppling, planar and wedge failure in host rock. The 3D image analysis and modeling data of the cavern obtained for structural reinforcement.

Increasing human activity due to rapid economic growth and land use change alters the patterns of the Asian monsoon, which is key to crop yields in Asia. In this study, we tested the performance of regional climate model (RegCM3) by simulating important components of Indian summer monsoon, including land-ocean contrast, low level jet (LLJ), Tibetan high and upper level Easterly Jet. Three contrasting rain years (1994: excess year, 2001: normal year, 2002: deficient year) were selected and RegCM3 was integrated at 60 km horizontal resolution from April 1 to October 1 each year. The simulated fields of circulations and precipitation were validated against the observation from the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis products and Global Precipitation Climatology Centre (GPCC), respectively. The important results of RegCM3 simulations are (a) LLJ was slightly stronger and split into two branches during excess rain year over the Arabian Sea while there was no splitting during normal and deficient rain years, (b) huge anticyclone with single cell was noted during excess rain year while weak and broken into two cells in deficient rain year, (c) the simulated spatial distribution of precipitation was comparable to the corresponding observed precipitation of GPCC over large parts of India, and (d) the sensitivity experiment using NIMBUS-7 SMMR snow data indicated that precipitation was reduced mainly over the northeast and south Peninsular India with the introduction of 0.1 m of snow over the Tibetan region in April.

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis mainly produces a wax which is a viscous liquid for long carbon chain. When a catalytic fixed-bed reactor is used for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, the wax generated on a catalyst surface can keep adsorbing on the catalyst surface. This liquid hold-up causes significant pressure drop and clogging problems through the reactor. Thus, the model for liquid hold-up is required to design the size of reactor and catalyst particles. In this study, the liquid hold-up model considering structural and operational conditions was proposed based on empirical equations for convective mass transfer between the syngas flow and the wax-adsorbed catalyst. The developed model was validated by comparing with the experimental data from Knochen's work (2010). The influence of reactor length and coross section on the wax hold-up in reactor were analyzed and the optimal reactor size were proposed.
We have presented a nonparametric stochastic approach for the SOI(Southern Oscillation Index) series that used nonlinear methodology called Nonlinear AutoRegressive(NAR) based on conditional kernel density function and CAFPE(Corrected Asymptotic Final Prediction Error) lag selection. The fitted linear AR model represents heteroscedasticity, and besides, a BDS(Brock - Dechert - Sheinkman) statistics is rejected. Hence, we applied NAR model to the SOI series. We can identify the lags 1, 2 and 4 are appropriate one, and estimated conditional mean function. There is no autocorrelation of residuals in the Portmanteau Test. However, the null hypothesis of normality and no heteroscedasticity is rejected in the Jarque-Bera Test and ARCH-LM Test, respectively. Moreover, the lag selection for conditional standard deviation function with CAFPE provides lags 3, 8 and 9. As the results of conditional standard deviation analysis, all I.I.D assumptions of the residuals are accepted. Particularly, the BDS statistics is accepted at the 95% and 99% significance level. Finally, we split the SOI set into a sample for estimating themodel and a sample for out-of-sample prediction, that is, we conduct the one-step ahead forecasts for the last 97 values (15%). The NAR model shows a MSEP of 0.5464 that is 7% lower than those of the linear model. Hence, the relevance of the NAR model may be proved in these results, and the nonparametric NAR model is encouraging rather than a linear one to reflect the nonlinearity of SOI series.
Due to the recent development of system semiconductors, technical innovation for the electric devices of the automobile industry is rapidly progressing. In particular, the electric device of automobiles is accelerating technology development competition among automobile parts makers, and the development cycle is also changing rapidly. Due to these changes, the importance of strategic planning for R&D is further strengthened. Due to the paradigm shift in the automobile industry, the Product-Technical Roadmap (P/TRM), one of the R&D strategies, analyzes technology forecasting, technology level evaluation, and technology acquisition method (Make/Collaborate/Buy) at the planning stage. The product-technical roadmap is a tool that identifies customer needs of products and technologies, selects technologies and sets development directions. However, most companies are developing the product-technical roadmap through a qualitative method that mainly relies on the technical papers, patent analysis, and expert Delphi method. In this study, empirical research was conducted through simulations that can supplement and strengthen the product-technical roadmap centered on the automobile industry by fusing Gartner's hype cycle, cumulative moving average-based data preprocessing, and deep learning (LSTM) time series analysis techniques. The empirical study presented in this paper can be used not only in the automobile industry but also in other manufacturing fields in general. In addition, from the corporate point of view, it is considered that it will become a foundation for moving forward as a leading company by providing products to the market in a timely manner through a more accurate product-technical roadmap, breaking away from the roadmap preparation method that has relied on qualitative methods.
