음이온계 합성세제인 ABS (alkyl benzene sulfonate)의 분해능이 우수한 균주를 자연계에서 분리하여 Pseudomonas caryophylli로 동정하였다. ABS 10 ppm을 함유한 인공폐수에서 분리균주를 배양시 ABS는 40％ 이상, BOD는 89％, COD는 71％ 감소되었으며 ABS분해능은 자연미생물군에 의한 혼합배양시의 2배 이상이었다. 분리균주에 의한 시판 합성세제의 분해율은 Hiti 46.2％, Kleenup 37.5％, No.1 29％, OK 27.8％이었다.

This study was conducted to compare the perception and fast food usage patterns of adults classified by age in Busan. The survey was conducted from April 15 to June 15, 2017 by questionnaires and the data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 Overall, 74.1%, 58.1%, 40.7%, 20.3%, 29.7% and 17.9% of individuals in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, respectively, consumed fast foods more than once a week. Additionally, 66.0%, 52.5%, 25.7%, 16.0%, 22.9% and 11.7% of individuals in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s, respectively, preferred fast foods. There was a significant difference in the basis for choosing menu among the groups, with 'preference' and 'price' being most important to those in their 20s and 30s, on the other hand 'preference' and 'companion' being most important to members of other age groups. As their age increased, individuals spent less money on fast food. Overall, 81.5%, 59.9%, 50.0%, 40.1%, 46.3%, and 28.4% of individuals in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s thought that fast food was a suitable substitute for a meal. Age affected the substitutability of fast food for a meal (P<0.001). Additionally, the ratio of individuals in their 20s and 30s that skipped breakfast was higher than in other age groups. In addition, age showed a significant positive correlation with obesity and dietary attitude, whereas it showed a negative correlation with nutrition knowledge, use frequency, perception degree and preference. Nutrition knowledge and dietary attitude showed no relationship with preference. These results imply that a nutrition education program should be developed and conducted to induce subjects to manage their dietary habit and develop healthier dietary patterns.

Merluccins hubbsi는 알젠틴 해역의 남위 $36^{\circ}$에서 $54^{\circ}$까지 분포하지만, 특히 $48^{\circ}S$ 이북의 100 fathom 이천에서 분포밀도가 높다. 성숙지수에서 본 성숙임계체장은 자는 40cm, 웅은 35cm이고, 산란성기는 자에서는 $12{\sim}l$월, 웅에서는 $11{\sim}12$월로 추정된다. 춘기에 북부해역($36^{\circ}{\sim}39^{\circ}S$)에 분포하고 있던 군이 하기($12{\sim}l$월경)에 $42^{\circ}{\sim}46^{\circ}S$해역으로 남하하여 주로 산란하지만, 남하에 참가하지 않았던 일부의 군, 혹은 남하후 북상하는 군의 일부가 $42^{\circ}S$이북의 해역에서도 동기($7{\sim}8$월)를 제외한 장기간에 걸쳐서 산란하는 것으로 추정된다. 또한 남부의 군도 북상하여 $12{\sim}l$월경 $42^{\circ}{\sim}46^{\circ}S$해역에서 북부의 군과 혼합하여 산란하는 것으로 추정된다.

Synthetic oligodeoxynucleotides (ODNs) containing unmethylated CpG phosphorothioate (PS CpG-ODN) are known to decrease IgE synthesis in Th2 allergy responses. Nonetheless, the therapeutic role of PS CpG-ODN is limited due to cytotoxicity. Therefore, we developed a phosphodiester (PO) form of CpG-ODN (46O) with reduced toxicity but effective against allergies. In this study, we first compared the toxicity of 46O with CpG-ODNs containing a PS backbone (1826S). We also investigated the therapeutic efficacy and mechanism of 46O injected intravenously in a mouse model of ovalbumin (OVA)-induced atopic dermatitis (AD). To elucidate the mechanism of 46O underlying the inhibition of IgE production, IgE- and TGF-β-associated molecules were evaluated in CD40/IL-4- or LPS/IL-4-stimulated B cells. Our data showed that the treatment with 46O was associated with a lower hematological toxicity compared with 1826S. In addition, injection with 46O reduced erythema, epidermal thickness, and suppressed IgE and IL-4 synthesis in mice with OVA-induced AD. Additionally, 46O induced TGF-β production in LPS/IL-4-stimulated B cells via inhibition of Smad7, which suppressed IgE synthesis via interaction between Id2 and E2A. These findings suggest that enhanced TGF-β signaling is an effective treatment for IgE-mediated allergic conditions, and 46O may be safe and effective for treating allergic diseases such as AD and asthma.

돌나물과 한국특산종 태백기린초의 교잡 기원에 대한 가설을 검증하고, 연관 종들의 형태적, 유전적 변이를 알아보기 위해 40개 집단으로부터 18개의 형태형질과 35개 집단에 10개 동위효소 좌위를 분석하였다. 동위효소 연구결과 가는기린초, 기린초 그리고 속리기린초에 높은 빈도로 나타났던 $MDH-2^a$, $PGI-1^a$는 태백기린초 집단에서는 전혀 나타나지 않았으며, 태백기린초의 모든 집단에서 높은 빈도로 나타나는 $MDH-2^c$는 다른 가는기린초아속 식물에서는 낮은 빈도로 나타나고 있어 태백기린초가 기린초와 가는기린초의 잡종화를 통해 기원되었다는 기존의 가설을 지지할 수 없다. 그러나 금대봉 일대의 일부 집단의 개체들은 태백기린초와 기린초 혹은 기린초와 가는기린초 사이에서 형질이입에 의해 만들어진 교잡 개체일 가능성이 높은 것으로 생각된다.

전보에서 분리 확보한 lysine 생산균주 Corynebacterium sp. S-27-12와 Brevibacterium flavum ATCC 15168 및 Micrococcus glutamicus ATCC 13032를 친주로 하여 자외선, $Co^{60}$및 N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine treatment를 처리, 90여주의 변이주를 분리하고 이들의 lysine 생산능을 비교하여 lysine 생산이 8mg/ml 이상인 균주 6주를 선정하였다. 이들 중 leucine 요구주 Brev. flavum U46-N59의 lysine 축적조건을 검토한 결과를 종합하여 포도당 100, urea 10, CSL 40, $KH_2PO_4\;2;\;K_2HPO_4,\;0.5;\;MgSO_4.\;7H_2O,\;0.4;\;antifoam\;S-57,\;1g;\;Fe_2(SO_4)_3.XH-2O,\;10;\;MnCl_2,\;4H_2O,\;10mg;\;biotin,\;30;\;thiamine-HCl,\;100{\mu}g;$ 증류수 1 l로 된 pH7.5의 합성배지에 Brev. flavum U46-N59를 $28^{\circ}C$에서 4일간 플라스크(20ml/500ml)에 진탕배양했을때(180진탕/분) 최대로 21.6mg/ml의 lysine을 생산하였다. Penicilin은 40U/ml의 농도가 되도록 배양 36시간 후에 첨가하였다.

The use of various cancer cell lines can recapitulate known tumor-associated mutations and genetically define cancer subsets. This approach also enables comparative surveys of associations between cancer mutations and drug responses. Here, we analyzed the effects of ~40,000 compounds on cancer cell lines that showed diverse mutation-dependent sensitivity profiles. Over 1,000 compounds exhibited unique sensitivity on cell lines with specific mutational genotypes, and these compounds were clustered into six different classes of mutation-oriented sensitivity. The present analysis provides new insights into the relationship between somatic mutations and selectivity response of chemicals, and these results should have applications related to predicting and optimizing thera-peutic windows for anti-cancer agents.

메탄올(95%) 용매내 $0{\sim}40^{\circ}C$에서 푸르푸랄, 5-메틸 및 5-브로모푸르푸랄의 알코올성 수산화칼륨에 의한 Cannizzaro 반응은 4차반응이며 푸르푸랄은 5-메틸푸르푸랄보다 3배, 5-브로모푸르푸랄은 푸르푸랄보다 10배 빠르게 진행된다. 그리고 이 반응에서 푸르푸랄, 5-메틸푸르푸랄, 5-브로모푸르푸랄의 활성화에너지는 각각 10.46 Kcal/mole, 16.27 Kcal/mole, 9.62 Kcal/mole이며 ${\Delta}H^{\neq}$ 와 ${\Delta}S^{\neq}$를 계산한 바 5-브로모푸르푸랄, 푸르푸랄, 5-메틸푸르푸랄의 순으로 증가 되었다.

이 연구의 목적은 경북지역에 거주하는 성별, 세대별 베이커리 제품 구매 선택 속성을 조사하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다 : 일반적 사항에서 남자 33.4%, 여자 66.6%로 남자보다 여자가 좀 더 높았다. 베이커리 구매 속성에서 세대별로는 20대는 미각관심형(44.7%)이고, 30~50대에서는 건강관심형(p<0.001)이었다. 베이커리 제품을 구매할 때 요인으로 맛 61.8%, 영양 17.6%, 가격 9.1%였다. 맛에 있어서 세대별로는 20대 73.9%, 30대 65.8%, 40대 55.8% 그리고 50대는 46.0%(p<0.001)였다. 베이커리 제품의 이용 형태는 프랜차이즈 베이커리 70.4%, 윈도우 베이커리 16.0%였으며, 세대별에 따른 프랜차이즈 베이커리 이용 형태는 20대 70.2%, 30대 78.1%, 40대 72.1%이고, 50대 56.0%였다(p<0.001). 베이커리 제품의 선호도에 있어서는 20대는 샌드위치류를 37.3%, 50대는 12.0% 선호하였다(p<0.001). 천연 발효빵은 20대 14.9%, 50대 37.0% 선호하였다(p<0.001).

Objective : The Solitaire Platinum 4×40 mm stent retriever contains radiopaque markers with a long length. We evaluated the effect of Solitaire Platinum 4×40 mm stent retriever in Solumbra technique thrombectomy, and compared it with shorter Solitaire stent retrievers. Methods : A total of 70 patients who underwent Solumbra technique thrombectomy with equal diameter (4 mm) and different length (40 vs. 20 mm) Solitaire stent retrievers were divided into two groups : the Solitaire Platinum 4×40 mm stent (4×40) group and the Solitaire FR 4×20 mm stent or Solitaire Platinum 4×20 mm stent (4×20) group. The clinical outcomes, Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction score, the first pass reperfusion status, and complications were evaluated and compared between the two groups. Multivariate analysis was performed to evaluate the predictive factors for reperfusion and complete reperfusion from the first pass. Results : Higher first-pass reperfusion and complete reperfusion were achieved in the 4×40 group (68.0% and 48.0%) than in the 4×20 group (46.7% and 33.3%; p=0.004 and 0.007, respectively). In multivariate analysis, radiopaque device and longer stent retriever were correlated with first-pass reperfusion (p=0.014 and 0.008, respectively) and first-pass complete reperfusion (p=0.022 and 0.012, respectively). Conclusion : Our study demonstrated the usefulness of the Solitaire Platinum 4×40 mm stent retriever, which led to higher first-pass reperfusion and complete reperfusion rates than the Solitaire FR 4×20 mm stent or the Solitaire Platinum 4×20 mm stent, especially in Solumbra technique thrombectomy.
