Characteristic Analysis of BLDC Motor for Vehicle Compressor Based on High Voltage (고전압 기반의 자동차 압축기용 BLDC 모터의 특성 해석)

  • The performance design and analysis of an electric motor for vehicles is very complicated due to the variety of parameters. This paper presents the design of the BLDC motor for electric air compressor in high voltage(42V) system and compares with the characteristics of IPM, SPM type BLDC motor. Futher, optimal design for the electric motor has been carried out using Equivalent Magnetic Circuit and FEM Modelling. By analyzing the design results, it is found that design parameters for BLDC motor provided an useful tool for vehicles motor design.

  • A lot of conventional automotive components driven by mechanical power source are being replaced with electrical ones to comply with the demands of market and customer, therefore the amount of electric energy used in a vehicle will be increased continuously. The increment of electric power demand causes interest on new higher power system such as 42V Power Net, and furthermore necessity for development of energy storage device is highlighted recently. This paper present the design of the BLDC motor for electric air-conditioner in 42V system and compare with the characteristics of several type BLDC motor.

  • Supercapacitors as novel energy storage devices between conventional capacitors and batteries, with more specific capacitance and energy densities than conventional capacitors and more power densities than batteries are to be used in many fields. And, social demand on fuel economy and reducing pollution needs equipment of new function such as energy storage system with good power performance, high cyclability and good energy efficiency. Supercapacitor is regarded as one of good alternatives for meeting the requirement of market with excellent power performance and high cyclability. This paper deals with the fundamental characteristics of supercapacitor unit and charge and discharge behavior of supercapacitor module for developing 42V hybrid energy storage system with lead acid battery and supercapacitor in order to adopt to 42V power net for vehicle.

This paper deals with the characteristics of charge and discharge behavior of supercapacitor module for developing 42V hybrid energy storage system with lead acid battery and supercapacitor in order to adopt to 42V power net for vehicle. An analysis performed in this paper indicates that supercapacitor storage system may be cost effective for high cycle applications.

  • 본 논문에서는 대면적 플라즈마 사인 보드 제어를 위한 저소비 전력용 인버터를 개발하였다. 이 인버터는 215*86mm 사이즈로 인가전압 220V, 출력전압 1200V, 스위칭 주파수 20KHz, 소비전력 50W 급인 인버터를 역률개선회로 PFC(Power Factor Correction)를 적용하여 리플을 줄이고 안정적인 전압 공급, 전체 전류 정격감소, 회생전압 상승분 억제, 유니버설 입력범위에서 동작 가능하게 만들었다. 고전압트랜스를 4개를 집적화 하였으며 전력 소비 전류가 감소되면서 온도가 상승되는 것을 막을 수 있었고 전자파도 줄일 수 있음을 보였다.

Comparison of Incidence of PSE Pork by Lairage Time, Use of Electrical Probe, Stunning Voltage and Chilling Condition (돼지의 계류시간, 전살전압 및 도체냉각조건에 따른 PSE 발생율 비교)

  • The incidence of PSE pork by lairage time, use of electric probe, stunning voltage condition and carcass chilling rate was compared. The incidence of PSE pork was 22.2% when pigs were held in lairage overnight without electric probe, whereas it was 59.3% when held in lairage for < 1.5 hr with electric probe before slaughter. The incidence of PSE pork was 42.37% when pigs were treated with 230 V of stunning condition, and was 66.67% when treated with 500V of stunning condition. The incidence of PSE pork was 52.2% when the ultimate carcass internal temperature was controlled higher than 38$^{\circ}C$ with the slow chilling(-5$^{\circ}C$ for 70 min), and was 39.6% when controlled lower than 30$^{\circ}C$ with the fast chilling(-15$^{\circ}C$ for 70 min). Results indicated that the incidence of PSE pork was decreased by 37.1% with lairage overnight and without use of electric probe, 24.3% with low voltage stunning treatment and 12.6% with fast chilling. However, the incidence of PSE pork was not significantly correlated with carcass weight.
