  • This study evaluated the displacements of a Cu bar in the Y-direction and the relationship between swaging pressures and total contact forces to increase the productivity of the rotor core swaging process. Elastic-plastic numerical analyses of four different Cu bar shapes were performed with a constant swaging pressure to evaluate the displacements of the Cu bar in the Y-direction and the contact force distributions at the contact surfaces during the swaging process. Based on the numerical analysis results, the following conclusions were obtained. First, a simplified 2-dimensional cyclic symmetric analysis model was developed for the numerical analysis of the rotor core swaging process. Second, the final displacements of the Cu bar in the Y-direction were nearly the same as the change of the Cu bar size at a constant swaging pressure. Third, a linear relationship between the swaging pressures and the total contact forces, the so called resistance forces, was suggested.

  • This study aims to develop the stance-control typed 4-bar linkage orthotic knee joint that replace the locked orthotic knee joint for the disabled with poliomyelitis and muscle weakness of lower limb. Unlike the existing stance-control orthotic knee joint, there are no needs of electric power, connecting circuit, bulky compomnets, etc, because this 4-bar linkage orthotic knee joint is controled by geometric locking. To evaluate the 4-bar linkage orthotic knee joint, a subject participated in this study who has been diagnosed with lower limb poliomyelitis and have used locked type orthotic knee joint. In the results of analysis of subject's gait using 3-dimentional motion analysis system, this 4-bar linkage orthotic knee joint provide the stability during stance phase and knee flexion during swing phase.

  • The direct current polarographic behavior of 4n-BAR in dimethylsulfoxide as an aprotic solvent have been investigated. The reduction of 4n-BAR in 0.05M sodium perchlorate solution proceeds along two one-electron steps to give the corresponding compound containing hydrazo groups, each reduction wave was considerably diffusion controlled and irreversible. By addition of acid HAc to 4n-BAR in DMSO solvent, the two reduction waves have coalesced into one in the condition M $\geq$ mole ratio, acid/reductant(M = 2), the slope of $log(i_d-i)(Mi_d/2-i)/i$/ vs. (-E) is irreversible along one-electron steps reduction waves.

  • The hydrothermal growth of $GaPO_{4}$ Single Crystals was carried out by the horizontal temperature gradient method. The most promising solvents for the crystal growth of $GaPO_{4}$ are $H_{3}PO_{4}$ and HCl solutions. Single crystals have been hydothermally grown at temperatures over the range $210-290^{\circ}C$ in these solutions with seed crystals. The glowth rates in HCl solution were higher than that for comparable conditions in $H_{3}PO_{4}$ solution. Morphologies of crystals grown at temperatures below $200^{\circ}C$ tended to be bounded by small major rhombohedral(10$\bar{1}$1) faces. In the temperature range from 200 to $430^{\circ}C$, the single crystals have morphologies bounded by prism (10$\bar{1}$0), small major rhombohedral(10$\bar{1}$1) and minor rhombohedral(01$\bar{1}$1) faces at the early stage, and grew with well developed basal(0001) faces by increasing the growth temperature.

  • This paper deals with synthesis of 4 bar linkage by using optimum design. To design 4 bar linkage, overlay method is proposed and for optimization, genetic algorithm is applied with objective function. The accuracy of this method will be determined by errors between real value and test value. We will use Chebychev spacing to get 3 precision positions of input angles. The output angles will be determined by the function that the designer wants input and output relations to be. It will be applied to example to show the accuracy of this method. The advantages of using this method are that it is fast to get optimal solution and it is simple to use.

  • Shear behavior of concrete beams reinforced with steel and/or FRP bar is studied through experimental tests. Experimental parameters includes the mechanical properties of reinforcements in shear and bending, and the ratio of shear reinforcement. The validity of the modified truss analogy, that has been widely accepted as a basis for the practical shear design of concrete beams, has been examined thoroughly by analyzing experimental results. The experimental results indicate that the modified truss analogy cannot be directly adopted to the shear problem of concrete beams reinforced with FRP bar.

  • In 2018, Andrews introduced the partition functions ${\mathfrak{EO}}$(n) and ${\bar{\mathfrak{EO}}}$(n). The first of these denotes the number of partitions of n in which every even part is less than each odd part, and the second counts the number of partitions enumerated by the first in which only the largest even part appears an odd number of times. In 2021, Pore and Fathima introduced a new partition function ${\mathfrak{EO}}_e$(n) which counts the number of partitions of n which are enumerated by ${\bar{\mathfrak{EO}}}$(n) together with the partitions enumerated by ${\bar{\mathfrak{EO}}}$(n) where all parts are odd and the number of parts is even. They also proved some particular congruences for ${\bar{\mathfrak{EO}}}$(n) and ${\mathfrak{EO}}_e$(n). In this paper, we establish infinitely many families of congruences modulo 2, 4, 5 and 8 for ${\bar{\mathfrak{EO}}}$(n) and modulo 4 for ${\mathfrak{EO}}_e$(n). For example, if p ≥ 5 is a prime with Legendre symbol $({\frac{-3}{p}})=-1$, then for all integers n ≥ 0 and α ≥ 0, we have ${\bar{\mathfrak{EO}}}(8{\cdot}p^{2{\alpha}+1}(pn+j)+{\frac{19{\cdot}p^{2{\alpha}+2}-1}{3}}){\equiv}0$ (mod 8); 1 ≤ j ≤ (p - 1).

  • Objective: The horizontal bar of gymnastics is fundamentally based on rotational movements. This study aimed to determine the effect of kinematics variables and sequence during horizontal bar performance (Kovacs, Tkatchev Stretched & Kolman) in gymnastic. Method: Four gymnastics athletes of the national team were participated in this study. All subjects were asked to perform the three types of horizontal bar skill. Simi marker-less cameras were used to collect the raw data (120 Hz). Kinematic variables (total time, interval, center of mass, height, angular velocity etc.) and sequence variables were calculated to examine the differences. Results: As a result, horizontal bar performance in gymnastic has special sequence that making the peak angular velocity from distal joint to proximal joint (knee-hip-shoulder). It is rare sequence that typical sport does not have. Conclusion: In field, gymnastic coaches and players should know the result that there is special sequence in horizontal bar performance. It could be very useful to teach and enhance their performance.

  • Implant overdentures are widely used as a treatment method to restore oral function in completely edentulous or partially edentulous patients with severe bone resorption. Using a milled bar, it is mechanically advantageous as the implant fixtures are splinted. Applying additional attachments to the bar has the advantage of dispersing the stress applied to the implant. In this case, a patient who used implant overdentures using 4 implants wanted to fabricate a new prosthesis due to repeated fractures of the denture and weakened retention. Milled bar with ADD-TOC attachment and zirconia prosthesis were fabricated by CAD-CAM method and mechanically and aesthetically satisfactory results were obtained.

  • Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) attached with 1 GHz center frequency antenna has been used to measure a dielectric constant of mortar, and to detect and locate a steel bar embedded inside laboratory size mortar specimens at various depth. Mortar specimens are made for the measurements with the dimensions of 100cm (width)$\times$100cm (length)$\times$14cm (depth). Each specimen has a 13mm diameter D13 steel bar at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12cm depth. In this paper, results of radar measurments are provided with a sample output, which successfully located the bar. It has been found that the reflected wave of the steel bar interacts with that of surface when the steel bar has the close distance to the surface.
