Ku대역 모노펄스 위성추적을 위한 동축구조 도파관 고차모드 커플러 설계 (Design of a Higher-Order Mode Coupler Using Coaxial-Structure Waveguide for Ku-Band Monopulse Satellite Tracking)

  • 본 논문은 Ku대역 모노펄스 위성추적을 위한 동축구조 도파관 고차모드 커플러를 제안하였다. 제안된 고차모드 커플러는 이동체 탑재용 위성추적시스템에 적용 가능하도록 소형/경량화를 위하여 동축구조의 도파관을 이용하였다. 기본모드 신호 추출을 위해 내측 원형도파관을 이용하였고, 고차모드 신호 추출을 위해 외측 원형도파관에 내어진 4개의 슬롯과 스텝 구조의 직사각형 도파관을 이용하였다. 제안된 고차모드 커플러의 모의실험 결과는 반사손실 및 삽입손실이 약 250 MHz의 대역폭(12.75~13.00 GHz)을 만족하며, 모노펄스 추적에 적용 가능한 기본모드 패턴 및 고차모드 패턴이 만족스럽게 생성된 결과를 확인하였다. 제안된 Ku대역 동축구조 도파관 고차모드 커플러는 고속 정밀추적이 요구되는 모노펄스 위성추적시스템에 이용될 것으로 기대된다.

압전방식초음파치석제거기의작업조건에따른치과주조용합금의삭제결손부 양상에 관한 고찰 (A morphologic evaluation of defects created by a piezoelectric ultrasonic scaler on casting gold alloy)

  • Purpose: In this study we evaluated the morphologic aspects of defects created by a piezoelectric ultrasonic scaler with scaler tip on casting gold alloy using scanning electron microscope (SEM) images and defect surface profiles. Methods: 54 blocks of type III casting gold alloy (Firmilay, Jellenko Inc, CA, USA) were scaled by a piezoelectric ultrasonic scaler (P-MAX, Satelec, France) with scaler tip (No. 1 tip) on a sledge device. 2-dimensional profiles of defects on all samples were investigated by a surface profilometer (a-Step 500, KLA-Tencor, CA, USA). The selected working parameters were lateral force (0.5 N, 1.0 N, 2.0 N), mode (P mode, S mode), and power setting (2, 4, 8). SEM images were obtained. Defect surface profiles were made on Microsoft Excel program using data obtained by a surface profilometer. Results: Among P mode samples, there were similarities on defect surface profiles and SEM images regardless of lateral force. The defects created in P mode were narrow and shallow although the depth and the width increased as power setting changed low (2) to high (8). In P mode samples, the defect depth was the greatest when lateral force of 0.5 N was applied. However all the depths were smaller than 1 m. SEM images of Lateral force of 0.5 N, S mode, power setting 2 and 4 were similar to that of P mode, but the other SEM images of S mode showed discernible changes. Defect depth of S mode samples was the greatest when lateral force of 1.0 N was applied. Conclusions: Within the limitations of this study, it can be concoluded that removing capability of piezoelectric scaler with scaler tip becomes maximized as power level becomes higher but the capability is restricted when excessive lateral force is applied on scaler tip.

도시지역 낮.밤 대기에어로졸의 입경 별 수용성 유기탄소의 특성 (Characteristic of Size-Resolved Water-Soluble Organic Carbon in Atmospheric Aerosol Particles Observed during Daytime and Nighttime in an Urban Area)

  • Twelve-hour size-resolved atmospheric aerosols were measured to determine size distributions of water-soluble organic carbon(WSOC) during daytime and nighttime, and to investigate sources and formation pathways of WSOC in individual particle size classes. Mass, WSOC, ${NO_3}^-$, $K^+$, and $Cl^-$ at day and night showed mostly bimodal size distributions, peaking at the size range of $0.32-0.55{\mu}m$(condensation mode) and $3.1-6.2{\mu}m$(coarse mode), respectively, with a predominant condensation mode and a minor coarse mode. While ${NH_4}^+$ and ${SO_4}^{2-}$ showed unimodal size distributions which peaked between 0.32 and $0.55{\mu}m$. WSOC was enriched into nuclei mode particles(< $0.1{\mu}m$) based on the WSOC-to-mass and WSOC-to-water soluble species ratios. The sources and formation mechanisms of WSOC were inferred in reference to the size distribution characteristics of inorganic species(${SO_4}^{2-}$, ${NO_3}^-$, $K^+$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Na^+$, and $Cl^-$) and carbon monoxide. Nuclei mode WSOC was likely associated with primary combustion sources during daytime and nighttime. Among significant sources contributing to the condensation mode WSOC were homogeneous gas-phase oxidation of VOCs, primary combustion emissions, and fresh(or slightly aged) biomass burning aerosols. The droplet mode WSOC could be attributed to aqueous oxidation of VOCs in clouds, cloud-processed biomass burning aerosols, and small contributions from primary combustion sources. From the correlations between WSOC and soil-related particles, and between WSOC and sea-salt particles, it is suggested that the coarse mode WSOC during daytime is likely to condense on the soil-related particles($K^+$ and $Ca^{2+}$), while the WSOC in the coarse fraction during nighttime is likely associated with the sea-salt particles($Na^+$).

인천 공항 주변 고해상도 항공기 추적 정보 기반의 바람 관측자료 생산 및 품질 검증 (Retrieval and Quality Assessment of Atmospheric Winds from the Aircraft-Based Observation Near Incheon International Airport, Korea)

  • We analyzed the high-resolution wind data of Aircraft-Based Observation from the Mode-Selective Enhanced Surveillance (Mode-S EHS) data in Korea. For assessment of its quality, the Mode-S wind data was compared with the ECMWF ReAnalysis 5 (ERA5) reanalysis and Aircraft Meteorological Data Relay (AMDAR) data for more than 3-months from 7 May 2021 to 24 August 2021 near Incheon International Airport, Korea. Considering that the AMDAR reports are not provided by all commercial aircraft, total number of the Mode-S derived wind data with a second sampling rate was about twice larger than that of available AMDAR wind data. After the quality control procedures by removing erroneous samples, it was found that the root mean square errors (RMSEs) of the Mode-S retrieved winds are similar to that from the AMDAR winds. In particular, between 550 and 650 hPa levels, RMSE of the Mode-S (AMDAR) zonal wind against ERA5 data was about 2.3 m s-1 (1.9 m s-1), and those increased to 3.3 m s-1 (2.4 m s-1) in 200~500 hPa levels. A similar trend was found in the meridional wind, but a distinct positive mean bias of 2.16 m s-1 was observed between 875 and 1,000 hPa levels. Winds retrieved from the Mode-S also showed a good agreement directly with AMDAR data. As the Mode-S provides a large amount of data with a reliable quality, it can be useful for both data assimilation in the numerical weather prediction model and situational awareness of wind and turbulence for aviation safety in Korea.

  • 4WD자동차의 엔진마운트 설계기법의 정리 및 실제차량의 실험적 mode 해 석을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 4WD자동차의 엔진마운트 설계 개념을 체계화시키고, 이를 실제차량에 대 해서 실험적 mode해석을 해본 결과 잘 일치함을 확인하였다. 2. power transmission system에 부가되는 장치(front propeller shaft)의 영 향을 검토한바, frequency shift현상이 발생함을 확인하였다. 이러한 영향은 이들 부가장치들의 질량증가 및 관성모멘트의 변화로 기인되며, 질량의 증가 보다는 관성모멘트의 영향이 상대적으로 크리라 판단된다.

  • 다중모드와 단일모드 광섬유의 특성을 순회측정한 결가이다. 7개의 다중모드 광섬유와 4개의 단일모드 광섬유를 사용하여 5개의 국내 기관이 참여하고 비교, 연구하였다. 그 결과를 외국의 순회측정과 비교하여 보았다.

전류모드 CMOS 4치 논리회로를 이용한 64×64-비트 변형된 Booth 곱셈기 설계 (Design of a 64×64-Bit Modified Booth Multiplier Using Current-Mode CMOS Quarternary Logic Circuits)

  • 본 논문에서는 CMOS 다치 논리회로를 이용하여 $64{\times}64$ 비트 Modified Booth 곱셈기를 설계하였다. 설계한 곱셈기는 Radix-4 알고리즘을 이용하여 전류모드 CMOS 4치 논리회로로 구현하였다. 이 곱셈기는 트랜지스터 수를 기존의 전압모드 2진 논리 곱셈기에 비해 64.4% 감소하였으며, 내부 구조를 규칙적으로 배열하여 확장성을 갖도록 설계하였다. 설계한 회로는 2.5V의 공급전압과 단위전류 $5{\mu}A$를 사용하여, $0.25{\mu}m$ CMOS 기술을 이용하여 구현하였으며 HSPICE를 사용하여 검증하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 2진 논리 곱셈기는 $7.5{\times}9.4mm^2$의 점유면적에 9.8ns의 최대 전달지연시간과 45.2mW의 평균 전력소모 특성을 갖는 반면, 설계한 곱셈기는 $5.2{\times}7.8mm^2$의 점유면적에 11.9ns의 최대 전달지연시간과 49.7mW의 평균 전력소모 특성으로 점유면적이 42.5% 감소하였다.

모드형상의 웨이블렛 변환을 이용한 보의 결함 진단 (Damage Detection in a Bean Via the Wavelet Transform of Mode Shapes)

  • Perhaps, this is the first attempt which applies the wavelet transform to the fundamental vibration mode for damage detection in a beam. Contrary to most existing detection methods on mode shapes, the present method directly works only with the fundamental mode of a damaged beam: no vibration mode shape of a undamaged beam is necessary. Applying the concept of vanishing moments of wavelet functions, we show that wavelet functions are effective damage detectors. Both numerical and experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the present method.

  • In this paper we present a technique of discrete-time sliding mode controller design for assigning eigenvalues of sliding mode and determining a convergence rate to sliding surface. First the sliding mode coefficient is designed via Ackermann s formula. Then a linear controller is designed to enforce sliding mode such that the resulting closed loop yields the desired eigenvalues. As we use a linear control instead of nonlinear control, chattering is nearly eliminated. Simulation and experimental results are included to show the effectiveness of the proposed method for Laser Marking System.
