  • 대지비저항의 측정 분석에 주로 사용되는 4-점 Wenner 전극법이며 1차원 측정법을 이용한다. 1차원 측정방법은 방법이 간편하며 경제적이지만, 측정방법이 기본적으로 특정한 대지구조를 갖는다고 가정하고 분석하므로 실제의 대지구조와 측정하여 분석한 대지구조 모델이 차이를 갖게 되고, 이로인해 접지설계와 실제시공 결과 사이에 오차가 발생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 1차원 및 2차원 측정법을 이용하여 분석된 대지구조모델를 이용하여 접지시스템 설계를 수행하였고, 이 결과를 실제현장에 시공하여 각각의 특성을 비교 분석하였다.

  • 대기-해양-천문 수치 모델은 주로 3차원 모델이고, 3차원적 해석을 위해서는 사용자가 쉽게 접근하고 사용할 수 있는 3차원 과학적 가시화 도구가 필요하다. 이러한 요구에 대응하기 위하여 무료/오픈소스 기반의 3차원 과학적 가시화 도구인 VAPOR가 사용자 친화적인 방향으로 개발되고 있다. VAPOR는 대기모델 WRF, CAM, GRIMs, 해양모델 MOM4, POP, ROMS의 직접 가시화가 가능하며, VAPOR 자료 형식 변환 과정을 통하여 천문 분야 모델(RAMSES) 가시화도 가능하다. 매년 개발을 통하여, VAPOR는 사용자가 많이 사용하는 일반적인 2, 3차원 표출 기능과 단순 통계 기능을 제공하게 되었으며, 향후 다중 모델 동시 표출 기능도 제공할 계획이다.

Relationship between Physical Properties and Sensibility Obtained from the Rustling Sounds of Silk Fabrics and Their Transformed Colors (실크 직물의 스치는 소리와 변환된 색채의 물리량과 감성간의 관계)

  • 본 연구에서는 실크 직물 7종의 마찰음을 녹음한 후, 색채 변환시켜 소리와 변환색채에 e한 감성을 평가함으로써 시각과 청각을 만족시킬 수 있는 의류소재 개발에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 피험자 30명을 대상으로 소리와 변환색채를 차례로 제공한 후 감성을 평가하도록 하였다. 물리량은 소리의 경우 LPT, $\Delta$L, $\Delta$f, ARC를 색채의 경우 RP, GP, BP, CC를 계산하여 감성과의 관계를 조사하였다. 소리와 색채에 대한 감성차원으로는 '우아함', '활동감', '터프함'의 세요인이 도출되었다. 각 감성차원에 대한 소리와 색채 물리량과의 관계를 살펴보면, LPT와 $\Delta$L이 작을수록, 홍색비율이 크고 색채빈도수가 적을수록 우아함차원으로 평가하였으며, LPT와 $\Delta$L의 값이 클수록, 녹색비율이 크고 색채빈도수가 많을수록 활동감차원으로 평가하였다. 또한 ARC값이 작을수록, 홍색비율이 클수록 터프함차원으로 나타났다. 직물별 소리와 색채에 대한 선호도는 전통적인 수자직 직물이 가장 높게 나타났다.

  • 3차원 메시 모델은 컴퓨터 그래픽스, 애니메이션, 3D 모델링, CAD, 3D 게임 등의 다양한 응용 분야에서 광범위하게 사용되고 있다. 그러나, 현실감을 줄 수 있는 고해상도의3차원 모델은 그 정보량의 방대함으로 인해 처리, 저장, 전송 등에 있어 여러 가지 어려움이 따른다. 따라서, 이를 효율적으로 압축하여 저장 및 전송하기 위한 3차원 메시 모델 부호화 기술이 연구되어 왔다. 본 고에서는 3차원 메시 부호화 기술에 대한 연구 개발 동향과 이에 대한 표준화 동향을 소개한다. 또한, 3차원 메시 부호화 기술과 관련하여 ETRI에서 연구중인 정점 및 면 순서 정보 부호화 기술과 텍스처 좌표 부호화 기술의 내용과 이에 대한 연구 활동 현황을 요약하고, 주요 이슈 논의 및 향후 전망에 대해 간략히 살펴보고자 한다.

A Study on the Image-Based 3D Modeling Using Calibrated Stereo Camera (스테레오 보정 카메라를 이용한 영상 기반 3차원 모델링에 관한 연구)

  • The image-based 3D modeling is the technique of generating a 3D graphic model from images acquired using cameras. It is being researched as an alternative technique for the expensive 3D scanner. In this paper, we propose the image-based, 3D modeling system using calibrated stereo cameras. The proposed algorithm for rendering, 3D model consists of three steps, camera calibration, 3D reconstruction, and 3D registration step. In the camera calibration step, we estimate the camera matrix for the image aquisition camera. In the 3D reconstruction step, we calculate 3D coordinates using triangulation from corresponding points of the stereo image. In the 3D registration step, we estimate the transformation matrix that transforms individually reconstructed 3D coordinates to the reference coordinate to render the single 3D model. As shown the result, we generated relatively accurate 3D model.

  • The low-carbon freight transportation system was introduced due to increase traffic congestion cost and carbon-dioxide for global climate change according to expanding city logistics demands. It is necessary to create 3D-based road network map for representing realistic road geometry with consideration of fuel consumption and carbon emissions. This study propose that 3D road network model expressed to realistic topography and road structure within trunk road for intercity freight through overlaying 2D-based transport-related thematic map and 1m-resolution DEM. The 3D-based road network map for the experimental road sections(Pyeongtaek harbor-Uiwang IC) was verified by GPS/INS survey and fuel consumption simulation. The results corresponded to effectively reflect realistic road geometry (RMSE=0.87m) except some complex structure such as overpass, and also actual fuel consumption. We expect that Green-based freight route planning and navigation system reflected on 3D geometry of complex road structure will be developed for effectively resolving energy and environmental problems.

  • Mobile communication devices such as PDAs, cellular phones, etc., need to perform several kinds of computation-intensive functions including H.264 encoding/decoding and 3D graphics processing. In this paper, new reconfigurable architecture is described, which can perform either motion estimation for H.264 or rendering for 3D graphics. The proposed motion estimation techniques use new efficient SAD computation ordering, DAU, and FDVS algorithms. The new approach can reduce the computation by 70% on the average than that of JM 8.2, without affecting the quality. In 3D rendering, midline traversal algorithm is used for parallel processing to increase throughput. Memories are partitioned into 8 blocks so that 2.4Mbits (47%) of memory is shared and selective power shutdown is possible during motion estimation and 3D graphics rendering. Processing elements are also shared to further reduce the chip area by 7%.

  • Evaluation of shape similarity for 3D models is essential in many areas - medicine, mechanical engineering, molecular biology, etc. Moreover, as 3D models are commonly used on the Web, many researches have been made on the classification and retrieval of 3D models. In this paper, we describe methods for 3D shape representation and major concepts of similarity evaluation, and analyze the key features of recent researches for shape comparison after classifying them into four categories including multi-resolution, topology, 2D image, and statistics based methods. In addition, we evaluated the performance of the reviewed methods by the selected criteria such as uniqueness, robustness, invariance, multi-resolution, efficiency, and comparison scope. Multi-resolution based methods have resulted in decreased computation time for comparison and increased preprocessing time. The methods using geometric and topological information were able to compare more various types of models and were robust to partial shape comparison. 2D image based methods incurred overheads in time and space complexity. Statistics based methods allowed for shape comparison without pose-normalization and showed robustness against affine transformations and noise.

  • Most watermarking techniques insert watermarks into transform coefficients in the frequency domain because we can consider robust or imperceptible frequency bands against malicious attacks to remove them. However, parameterization of 3-D data is not easy because of irregular attribution of connectivity information, while 1-I) or 2-D data is regular. In this paper we propose a new watermarking scheme for 3-D polygonal mesh models in the DCT domain. After we generate triangle strips by traversing the 3-D model and transform its vertex coordinates into the DCT domain, watermark signals are inserted into mid-frequency bands of AC coefficients for robustness and imperceptibility. We demonstrate that our scheme is robust against additive random noise, the affine transformation, and geometry compression by the MPEG-4 SNHC standard.

  • This study aims to suggest the improved business process by analyzing the current design process on work flow of the 3D design of power plant, drawing a problems and setting the improving direction through the integration method of the business process reengineering(BPR). In order to realize the improved business process, the integrated design performance system focused on the 3D design was established and accordingly the study analyzed cases of project performances through the integration system and drew the improved effects quantitatively. In the result of the project performance applied with the 3D design integration system, it showed 20.4% design cost saving effect for appropriate rated cost and the integration of design information from each design parts, sub contracters and vendors reduced overlapped works and improved the consistency of repeated design alteration.
