하이라이징(High-rising)빌딩으로 탈바꿈 중인 종로와 중구 일대. 1980년대 재개발 구역으로 지정됐던 이들 도심의 지역은 고층 빌딩이나 주상복합 아파트로 재개발이 실시되고 있다. 4대문 안 도심 재개발의 현장을 찾았다.

대문어(Parotopus dofleini)는 한국 동해안에서 외줄낚시와 통발로 어획되고 있다. 이중 대문어 외줄낚시어업은 강원도를 중심으로 3톤 내외의 소형어선 1,500여척에 의해 연간4천여톤씩 어획되고 있어 동해 북부 어업인들의 주 소득원이 되는 어업 중 하나 이다. 해상에서의 조업방법은 일출 무렵에 출항하여 낚시가 해저바닥에 닿도록 부이줄을 조정하여 50여개의 어구를 수중에 투하한 후 선상에서 육안으로 부이의 상태를 관찰한다. (중략)

The single line hook fishery for giant pacific octopus, Parotopus dofleini is one of the important in coastal Kangwon-do of Korea, where was caught an average of 4,000 ton during the period of 1996~2000. The fishing gear is consisted of a single buoy line, a buoy and a hook. In this study, the responses of giant pacific octopus to single line hook gear were examined in an experimental tank using a video camera in order to know hooking mechanism and improve hook. Giant pacific octopus tend to envelop the bait with their arms by rush or slowly swimming towards it. When they rush to the bait, they show much feeding behaviour as withdrawing after enveloping the bait using two arms. But when they approach with slowly swimming to bait, they show feeding behaviour as stopping after enveloping the bait using one arm. and then, the highly hooking rate appeared more often in the case of latter then former. The average feeding time on a sardine, giant pacific octopus and pork fat showed the range of 1 to 30 min, 10 to 50 min, and 50 min to over 1 hour, respectively. This indicates that it takes longer time for giant pacific octopus to eat the tough meat than the soft meat. The performance concerned with hooking showed that the 'B' type hook with a short shank was more favorable than the 'A' type hook with a long shank. However, the 'A' type hook has the advantage of easy dropping out caught octopus, compared to the 'B' type.

The technique to determine the components in the supersulphated slag cement is discussed by several selective extraction analyses. Accordingly, the rate of hydration reaction of supersulphated slag cement could be quantitatively measured by the following 3 kinds of the selective extraction analyses. (1) Determination of unreacted slag - a salicylic acid, acetone.methanol solution (2) Determination of free $CaSO_4$ - a half saturated lime water (3) Determination of free $Ca(OH)_2$ - glycerine.alcohol solution

Just as the front gate is located at the meeting point between the house and the street, the Subject and the Other face each other the same way. This study examines the relationship between House(subject) and Stree (other) at the boundary of the Front Gate-Face. Pursuing the aspects of the changing Front Gate-Face accordingly to the attitude of the Subject facing the Other, this study tries to analyze the possibilities and significance of the hospitality Front Gate-Face with the ethical point of view of Levinas. As architectural instance, results of examining the Front Gate-Face of traditional houses in Korea, China and Japan are as follows. Front Gate-Face of China is characterized by self-centered introversion to interact with the external world (the other). Front Gate-Face of Japan is characterized by a humble submission to the group. Front Gate-Face of Korea shows however more flexible relationship orientations in terms of hospitality, compared to Japan or China. When looking through hospitality factors, accordingly to the above mentioned Korean hospitality characteristics, the possibilities seem not be exclusively bordered inside the conceptual category perimeter suggested by Levinas' concept of hospitality. It is almost impossible for the nowadays ever-strong privacy culture to not allow room for the architectural structure of an absolute hospitality toward others. However, this impossibility not being absolute, still yields a space for a significant possibility to explore.

This study investigates the site and architectural space of Byung-Su Jo's traditional house on Yongyu Island in Incheon. The house is located on a peaceful, warm site that is well protected by surrounding mountains, such as Hyunmubong to the rear, Jwacheongyong to the left, Wubackho to the right, and Ansan in front. The house was designed with an open layout with a sarangchae and anchae. There is a spring on the left side of the sarangchae, and a stream auspiciously flows from the west to the east in front of the sarangmadang. The house generally faces south, but to avoid pressure by the height of Ansan in the south direction, it is slightly turned to the east. There is a wide, rectangular pond that covers the pungsu weak point of the empty open view between the right and left mountains. The sarangchae space is composed of front 6 Gan and side 3 Gan. The anchae space is also composed of front 6 Gan and side 3 Gan,and it has a typical L-shaped anchae layout for the middle region of Korea. There is no shrine in the backyard, where yongmag is descending from hyunmubong, and a jangdokdae is installed to the west direction of the anbang due to narrow and slope backyard space.

This paper presents new on-line handwritten algorithm for continuous alphabet uppercase characters. The algorithm is based on the idea that alphabet uppercase character consists of at most 4 strokes. It tries to determine the maximum output for a recognition result among outputs of four recognizers which have the capacity to discriminate the character using from 1 through 4 stroke information. The recognition module has 4 neural network based recognizers, which can recognize from 1 through 4 stroke character. We also use specialized post-processing techniques for improving the recognition performance. Trained on 440 input data and choosing 390 uppercase words for a recognition test we reached a 92% recognition rate.

Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 powders were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. Using soluble salts such as Pb(NO3)2, TiCl4 and ZrOCl2$.$8H2O and oxide such as PbO and TiO2 as starting materials, PZT powder was hydrothermally synthesized at the temperature range between 150$^{\circ}C$ and 200$^{\circ}C$. The result showed that reactivity by alkali was decreased in the sequence of Pb(NO3)2, TiCl4, ZrOCl2, PbO, TiO2 and ZrO2. Using the first three soluble salts, PZT powder was synthesiged at 150$^{\circ}C$ for 1hr. In PbO-TiCl4-ZrOCl2 system, PZT powder was synthesized at 150$^{\circ}C$ for 8rs. In Pb(NO3)2-TiO2-ZrOCl2 system, PZT powder was synthesized at 150$^{\circ}C$ for 16hrs, in PbO-TiO2-ZrOCl2 system, the powder was synthesized at 200$^{\circ}C$ for 8hrs.

This study is about setting the weighed value of evaluation items for cultural tourism development project using AHP and it analyzed the cultural and ecological tourism infrastructure project in three cultural areas of Andong City. As a result of examining the reliability of evaluation items, it turned out to be 0.9, an appropriate level. In the analysis of weighed value, the items valued highly were in the order of validity of the plan, economic validity, validity of the policy. As for the detailed indices for the three that showed the highest weighed value, for validity of the plan, distinction of contents; for validity of the policy, compatibility of regional characteristics; for economic validity, sustainability were given high values. In the end, it could be concluded that as the cultural and ecological tourism infrastructure project in three cultural areas was delayed a lot more than previously planned, in order to flexibly respond to changing environment, it would be desirable to change parts of the previous plan before pushing ahead with it.
