  • This paper describes the development of a racing game with three-dimensional computer graphics as one of web-based game contents. Client user using web can access and run java applet program with download of Java Bytecode with the independence of hardware system. It consists of graphic user interface module, initial space generation module, event handler module, and thread control module. It uses 2-D linked list data structure for the 3-D graphic objects that are located in three-dimensional space for high-speed object searching and sorting. It enhances the dynamic object moving and viewing in three-dimensional space. We can use the developed racing game to inform game users of information for an advertisement like tourism information, and can apply the proposed 3-D drawing technology to 3-D game graphic engine core.

  • This paper proposes 3D visualization method of compound knowledge which will be able to identify and search easily compound knowledge objects based the multidimensional relationship. For this, we structurized a compound knowledge with link and node which become the semantic network. and we suggested 3D visualization method using SOM. Also, to arrange compound knowledge from 3D space and to provide the chance of realistic and intuitional information retrieval to the user, we proposed compound knowledge 3D clustering methods using object similarity. Compound knowledge 3D visualization and clustering using SOM will be the optimum method to appear context of compound knowledge and connectivity in space-time.

  • Because of most current cadastral systems maintain 2D geometric descriptions of parcels linked to administrative records, the system may not reflect current tendency to use space above and under the surface. The land has been used in multi-levels, e.g. constructions of multi-used complex buildings, subways and infrastructure above/under the ground. This cadastre situation of multilevel use of lands cannot be defined as cadastre objects (2D parcel-based) in the cadastre systems. This trend has requested a new system in which right to land is clearly and indisputably recorded because a right of ownership on a parcel relates to a space in 3D, not any more relates to 2D surface area. Therefore, this article proposes a 3D spatial data model to represent geometrical and topological data of 3D (property) situation on multilevel uses of lands in 3D cadastre systems, and a conceptual 3D cadastral model in Korea to design a conceptual schema for a 3D cadastre. Lastly, this paper presents the results of an experimental implementation of the 3D Cadastre to perform topological analyses based on 3D Network Data Model to identify spatial neighbors.

  • On-line avatar community service requires natural representation of communication, emotional expression, and popular dances and various kinds of services. The space should be dynamic, and the interaction between the motions of avatars and the space is required. The avatars with their national, interesting, and various motions should be implemented togetherwith interaction with virtual spaces, in order to have competition in developing 3D avatars. It is expected for 3D avatars to be broadly applied for 3D shopping malls for e-commerce, cyber model houses, 3 D simulations, and 3D virtual reality game. Therefore, for one line 3D avatar community services, we try to provide the scheme for making interactive virtual spaces, together with 3D avatar animations.

  • In this paper, we present a 3-D object recognition system in which the 3-D Hough transform domain is employed to represent the 3-D objects. In object modeling step, the features for recognition are extracted from the CAD models of objects to be recognized. Since the approach is based on the CAD models, the accuracy and flexibility are greatly improved. In matching stage, the sensed image is compared with the stored model, which is assumed to yield a distortion (location and orientation) in the 3-D Hough transform domain. The high dimensional (6-D) parameter space, which defines the distortion, is decomposed into the low dimensional space for an efficient recognition. At first we decompose the distortion parameter into the rotation parameter and the translation parameter, and the rotation parameter is further decomposed into the viewing direction and the rotational angle. Since we use the 3-D Hough transform domain of the input images directly, the sensitivity to the noise and the high computational complexity could be significantly alleviated. The results show that the proposed 3-D object recognition system provides a satisfactory performance on the real range images.

  • This study is apply 3D spatial information per traditional landscape space by comparing spatial information data created using a small drone and 3D scanner used for 3D spatial information construction for efficient preservation and management of traditional landscaping space composed of areas such as scenic sites and traditional landscape architectures. The analysis results are as follows. First, aerial photogrammetry data is less accurate than 3D scanners, but it was confirmed to be more suitable for monitoring landscape changes by reading RGB images than 3D scanners by texture mapping using digital data in constructing orthographic image data. Second, the orthographic image data constructed by aerial photogrammetry in a traditional landscaping space consisting of a fixed area, such as Gwanghalluwon Garden, produced visually accurate and precise results. However, as a result of the data extraction, data for trees, which is one of the elements that make up the traditional landscaping, was not extracted, so it was determined that 3D scanning and aerial surveying had to be performed in parallel, especially in areas where trees were densely populated. Third, The surrounding trees in Soswaewon Garden caused many errors in 3D spatial information data including topographic data. It was analyzed that it is preferable to use 3D scanning technology for precise measurement rather than aerial photogrammetry because buildings, landscaping facilities and trees are dense in a relatively small space. When 3D spatial information construction data for a traditional landscaping space composed of area using a small drone and a 3D scanner free from temporal and spatial constraints and compared the data was compared, the aerial photogrammetry is effective for large site such as Hahoe Village, Gyeongju and construction of a 3D space using a 3D scanner is effective for traditional garden such as Soswaewon Garden.

  • This study is designed to develop programs that analyze the distance of clothes from human skin and cross-sectional body figures based on 3D human body scan data, and to verify accuracy and efficiency of the program so that it can be used for clothing fit evaluation and 3D human body research. The auto cross-sectional imaging program was developed by using Visual C++ and OpenGL, and the 3D human body scan data were adopted to measure the space between skin and clothing. The space measurements were obtained by two widely used programs, RapidForm and AutoCAD, and a program devised by the researchers of this study. Measuring time and space measurements from different programs were compared in order to verify accuracy and efficiency of the newly-devised program. As a result, no significant difference was found in the measurements. However, the required time to measure one cross section was different within the significance level of 0.05, and the differences become more remarkable as the number of measuring and the angle of space between skin and clothing increase. Therefore, the program developed by this study is expected to be useful for research on body shapes and fit evaluation based on 3D human body scan data in the fashion field.

  • This paper was applied space harmonic method as a characteristic analysis technique for slotless PMLSM. There is advantages of active response to the change of design parameters as well as reduction of the calculation time. The method can be overcome disadvantages of finite element analysis that needs long times calculation, repetitions of pre and post-process. In this paper, 3D-space harmonic method was applied to consider the precise description of end turn coil shape and the changes of characteristic according to changes of length of z-axis direction. The thrust of optimal design was performed using genetic algorithm to enhance the thrust which is the disadvantage of slotless type PMLSM. For design parameters, width of permanent magnet, width of coil, width of coil inner and lengths of z-axis direction were selected. For objective functions. thrust per weight. thrust per volume. multi-objective function was selected.

  • Package for artificial satellite is to produce mass production for high package with reliability certification as well as develop SDRAM (synchronous dynamic RAM) module which has such as miniaturization, mass storage, and high reliability in space environment. It requires sophisticated technology with chip stacking or package stacking in order to increase up to 4Gbits or more for mass storage with space technology. To make it better, we should secure suitable processes by doing design, manufacture, and debugging. Pin type PCB substrate was then applied to QFP-Pin type 3D memory package fabrication. These results show that the 3D memory package for artificial satellite scheme is a promising candidate for the realization of our own domestic technologies.
