Convergence Education Modeling for Teaching Integration of IoT with 3D Printing Based on Manufacturing Chemical Product by Production Companies

  • This study aims to apply Arduino and 3D printing technology considered as a key subject in the age of 4th industrial revolution which is a step 1 for customizing and applying the process of production by chemical molding companies producing environment-friendly biodegradable packaging materials to the 3D printing teaching in universities. Step 3 is applied to IoT for Arduino application, and 3D printing technology is also used on the basis of teaching creative integrated human resource. Integration of Arduino with 3D printers is based on the assumption that middle- and high-school students can learn it step by step to higher levels and university students majoring or not majoring in computing science can also have computing skills for solving 3D printing-based problems. For IoT application in this study, the 3D printing technology is applied to the external shape of products for producing an Arduino-based lighting fixture. The applied 3D printing technology is further extended to teaching modeling of producing packaging materials by chemical product molding companies in the age of 4th industrial revolution.

Design Challenges and Solutions for Ultra-High-Density Monolithic 3D ICs

  • Monolithic three-dimensional integrated chips (3D ICs) are an emerging technology that offers an integration density that is some orders of magnitude higher than the conventional through-silicon-via (TSV)-based 3D ICs. This is due to a sequential integration process that enables extremely small monolithic inter-tier vias (MIVs). For a monolithic 3D memory, we first explore the static random-access memory (SRAM) design. Next, for digital logic, we explore several design styles. The first is transistor-level, which is a design style unique to monolithic 3D ICs that are enabled by the ultra-high-density of MIVs. We also explore gate-level and block-level design styles, which are available for TSV-based 3D ICs. For each of these design styles, we present techniques to obtain the graphic database system (GDS) layouts, and perform a signoff-quality performance and power analysis. We also discuss various challenges facing monolithic 3D ICs, such as achieving 50% footprint reduction over two-dimensional (2D) ICs, routing congestion, power delivery network design, and thermal issues. Finally, we present design techniques to overcome these challenges.

SLS 방식의 3D 프린팅 기술을 활용한 직물구조적인 디자인설계 연구 -유연성 있는 직조구조 직물설계를 중심으로- (Study on the Textile Structural Design using SLS 3D Printing Technology -Focused on Design of Flexible Woven Fabric Structure-)

  • Since the early 2000s, various fashion design products that use 3D printing technology have constantly been introduced to the fashion industry. However, given the nature of 3D printing technology, the flexible characteristics of material of textile fabrics is yet to be achieved. The aim of this study is to develop the optimal design conditions for production of flexible and elastic 3D printing fabric structure based on plain weave, which is the basic structure in fabric weaving using SLS 3D printing technology. As a the result this study aims to utilize appropriate design conditions as basic data for future study of flexible fashion product design such as textile material. Weaving structural design using 3D printing is based on the basic plain weave, and the warp & weft thickness of 4mm, 3mm, 2mm, 1.5mm, 1mm, and 0.7mm as expressed in Rhino 6.0 CAD software program for making a 3D model of size $1800mm{\times}180mm$ each. The completed 3D digital design work was then applied to the EOS SLS Machine through Maker ware, a program for 3D printer output, using polyamide 12 material which has a rigid durability strength, and the final results obtained through bending flexibility tests. In conclusion, when designing the fabric structure design in 3D printing using SLS method through application of polyamide 12 material, the thickness of 1 mm presented the optimal condition in order to design a durable digital textile structure with flexibility and elasticity of the 3D printing result.

생물 활성이 있는 Halogenopurines의 합성 (Synthesis of Some Biologically Active Halogenopurines)

  • Guanine (1)으로부터 생물활성이 있는 halogenopurines계 화합물을 합성하였다. Guanine을 acetic anhydride와 반응시켜서 2,9-diacetylguanine (2-1)을 합성하여 얻어진 화합물을 $POCl_3$와 반응시켜서 화합물 3a를 합성하고, 다음 단계에서 2-amino-6-halogenopurines (3b-d)를 합성하였다. 2-Halogenopurines (2-2a-d, 4-2a-d, 5a-d)을 2-amino-6-substituted purines (1, 3a, 4-1)로부터 효율적으로 합성한 후에, 새로운 화합물인 2-2a, 2-2c, 2-2d, 4-2c, 4-2d, 5b, 5c 및 5d를 합성하였다. 합성한 화합물의 구조를 원소분석, $^1H$ NMR, mass spectral data로 확인하였으며, 합성한 화합물에 대한 항균 활성을 시험하였다.

  • 3D printing technology supporting the specific patient medical services is actively being implemented in dentistry. The purpose of this study is to introduce the legal and institutional considerations to the medical practitioners in dentistry who must observe when they manufacture medical devices using 3D printers, and to provide a ways to activate and enhance their utilization in the domestic approval point of view for medical devices. Through the public data of government agencies and related organizations, the statutory system and compliance matters related to the manufacture of 3D printing medical devices have been examined and reviewed for the government's improvement efforts. Through the study, the government has been actively improving the system and making policy, but the active interest and participation of medical professionals and related workers are continually required to solve the problems which are scattered. 3D printing technology is expected to be more frequently utilized in the field of dentistry in near future. Therefore, it is essential to establish measures to improve the regulation through continuous cooperation with the related ministries with the long-term point of view enhancing smooth entry to the market for the medical devices by taking data from the continued research.

  • In the field of construction, research on smart construction technology is being actively pursued as a measure to increase productivity and efficiency. The technology that links 3D scanning and BIM of smart construction technology is in the limelight as a technology for checking the state of buildings in the field of architecture. It is thought that these techniques will be of great help in solving problems when the amount of inspection targets is large, such as confirmation of the rebar arrangement intervals, and therefore a large number of human resources are required. Therefore, in this study, we would like to apply 3D scanning to rebar construction to confirm whether the rebar arrangement can be confirmed according to the design drawing. In the study, the wall rebar of the rebar placed at the actual construction site was directly scanned to extract data, and the rebar placing status was confirmed through type analysis. As a result of analyzing the reinforcing bar arrangement state based on the data obtained by 3D scanning, it was found that the technology can be utilized.

Synchronous 2D/3D Switching System for Service-Compatible 3DTV Broadcasting

  • This paper proposes a new broadcasting system for the service-compatible 3DTV in which the 3D service can coexist with the conventional digital TV broadcast. In the proposed system, the commercial 3DTV service can be implemented via the existing DTV channel without utilizing the dedicated 3DTV system. This 2D/3D system interworks with the conventional system and can switch to 2D or 3D service according to the broadcast programming and schedule. The system also provides a mechanism that can prevent the synchronization mismatch between left and right video streams and between the stream and the associated signaling in the 2D/3D transition periods. The picture quality measurements are carried out based on the ITU-R recommended test to check the level of quality of service provided by the proposed scheme. The conformity tests are also performed with the conventional channel and the receiver for the DTV system to confirm the feasibility of the proposed one for the commercial service.

  • 3D 영상산업이 발전해 오면서 현재 3D 영상으로 가장 많이 사용되는 것이 stereoscopic 이다. 이러한 stereoscopic 영상을 표현해 주는 기기로써, 셔터식 혹은 편광식 3D 디스플레이가 사용되고 있으며 두가지 방식 모두 제품화가 이루어져 경쟁을 하고 있는 상황이다. 그러나 이러한 3D 디스플레이에 관련하여 crosstalk 문제는 해결해야 하는 가장 큰 문제로 남아 있다. 본 논문에서는 편광식 3D 디스플레이의 다양한 파라메터에서 나타날 수 있는 crosstalk를 시뮬레이션하여 보여주는 시뮬레이터를 제안한다. 다양한 옵션하에서 나타날 수 있는 crosstalk를 시뮬레이션하여 보여줌으로써, 3D 디스플레이의 제작에 있어 crosstalk를 최소화하기 위한 최적의 파라메터를 찾을 수 있다.

3D 애니메이션의 배경 표현에 관한 분석 (Analysis on the Backgrounds Expression for 3D Animation)

  • This article analyzes the background representation of 3D animation and look at what its proper background expression. With the development of computer graphics technology, the background of the 3D animations can be expressed as The actual background. In contrast, "The Smurfs" which was released recently was created to take the actual background. However, 3D animation with real background is not appropriate in terms of creative expression space in the main role of the animation. In this Study, we analyze the character and background of the animation made in 3D graphics. Based on this, we propose a correct representation of 3D animation background.
