  • The need of contents adaptation in ubiquitous environments is growing to support multiple target platforms for 3D graphics contents. Since 3D graphics deal with a large data set md a high performance, a service adaptation for context changing is required to manipulate graphics contents with a more complicated method in multiple devices such as desktops, laptops, PDAs, mobile phones, etc. In this paper, we suggest a new notion of service adaptation middleware based on service rendering algorithm, which provides a flexible and customized service for user-centric 3D graphics contents. The service adaptation middleware consists of Service Adaptation(SA) for analyzing environments and Service Rendering(SR) for reconfiguring customized services by processing customized data. These adaptation services are able to intelligently and dynamically support the same computer graphics contents with good quality, when user environments are changed.

And results analysis, and academic achievement in order to transform the curriculum of existing courses into the curriculum of NCS-based courses. Also this study analysed of the existing curriculum. Also analyzed the trend of workforce trends and needs of the broadcasting content industry. Through a needs analysis for the industry and alumni and students, video graphics, video editing and video directing were selected. In this paper, it dealt mainly with respect to the video graphics in a dual job. Modeling capability into the unit through a job analysis, animation, effects and lighting were chosen accordingly based introduction of 3D Graphics. Application of 3D Graphics were derived two courses and selected profiles and performance criteria. This training according to the NCS curriculum for students was evaluated based on the student's job was to investigate the learning ability. Academic achievement were the result satisfaction.

  • In this paper, we propose a new programmable shader architecture based on an effective ALU operation. Today's mobile devices need the programmable shader processor for a three-dimensional(3D) graphics. The programmable shader processors require a lager ALU than a fixed pipeline ALU used previously. The proposed ALU architecture is able to execute two different arithmetic operations at the same time. Two instructions which need exclusive ALU operations are inserted into instruction decoders in parallel. Experimental results show the number of instruction cycles can be substantially reduced up to 40%.

  • In garment manufacturing process, making a prototype of a product is a preceding part ahead of mass production. However, it takes up a lot of trial and error, let alone the expense in the past manufacturing system. In this paper we introduce the process which can replace the past one with using recently developed computer graphics technique. We also demonstrate this method is valid on a variety of clothes compared to the real experiments. In this process, a designer can make a garment, simulate it in 3D computer system, and easily fix the problems before finalizing a prototype.

  • As BIM(Building Information Modeling) is widely used in the construction process the need for exploring building models realistically is also growing. In this paper, we present a 3D stereoscopic navigation method for virtual buildings considering virtual perception. We first find out factors that may cause virtual discomfort while navigating stereoscopic building models, and then develop a method for automatically adjusting the range of virtual camera separation. In addition, we measure each user's JND(Just Noticeable Difference) in depth to adjust virtual camera separation and movement. The presented method can be used for various architectural applications by creating user-customized 3D stereoscopic contents.

  • Advances in computer technology have made it possible for educators to design and develop their own multimedia instructional materials using visuals such as animation. Although, it generally believed that the Mew attribute of computer animation facilitates student's foaming, there is still relatively little research regarding the way in which student benefit from multimedia instruction using 3-D animation. The purpose of this research was to examine and determine whether the use of 3-D computer generated images is an effective teaching device for hoping children to understand color theory, and enhancing the tractional methods. In this study, a 3-D computer generated presentation was creative and it demonstrated the mixing of primary color to obtain secondary color. Three research hypotheses were developed in this research. The first hypothesis stated that 3-D computer generated presentation will be an effective device for teaching color theory. The second was that the presentation will be eye-catching and it will hold the children's attention. The third was presentation would enhance the children's memory of color. Results of this study show that visualization technology and the use of 3-D graphics ends can be employed in the field of art education to increases a chi1d's understanding of color theory. Also, it was proved that teaching children through 3-D graphic is an highly effective teaching tool. Thus this research is a oontribution to both children's au education and the relatively new field of computer animation.

  • We designed a 3D solid modeler based on the web, which was independent from platforms, which could be executed without 3D graphics softwares. In this paper, we show the design of system libraries and how to implement in Java 3D. A client connects to the solid modeler server, design solid model, stores the data as the various file format, and displays the data from other CAD systems. This solid modeler can support the detail design as 3D graphics features such as viewing, rendering, animating are available.

  • A software interface called CGI-K including device driver routines and graphics primitives for the grphic board "K" was designed, implemented in the Design Automation Laboratory of KAIST and installed on IBM PC/AT, using assembly and C language supported by TMS 34010 grphics processor. Several algorithms generating the graphics primitives such as box, circle, pie chord are proposed. The drawing speed of CGI-K on the graphic board K was found out to be three to ten times faster than that of the EGA for several examples. A 2-D graphics editor called GRIM (graphics input and modification) and a 3-dimensional graphics renderer called IPCHE which can draw 3-D objects were developed as two major application programs running on CGI-K. The graphics primitives supported in GRIM include polygon, box, circle, and ace. The IPCHE receives a 3-D objects data file and displays the 3-D object on the screen with hidden surface removal, shading, and perspective scaling.
