There is a growing interest in ubiquitous-related research and applications. Among them, GPS-based LBS have been developed and used actively. Recently, with the increase of large size buildings and disastrous events, indoor spaces are getting attention and related research activities are being carried out. Core technologies regarding indoor applications may include 3D indoor data modeling and localization sensor techniques that can integrate with indoor data. However, these technologies have not been standardized and established enough to be applied to indoor implementation. Thus, in this paper, we propose a method to build a relatively simple 3D indoor data modeling technique that can be applied to indoor location based applications. The proposed model takes the form of 2D-based multi-layered structure and has capability for 2D and 3D visualization. We tested three prototype applications using the proposed model; CA(cellular automata)-based 3D evacuation simulation, network-based routing, and indoor moving objects tracking using a stereo camera.
Given M a monoid with a neutral element e. We show that the solutions of d'Alembert's functional equation for n × n matrices Φ(pr, qs) + Φ(sp, rq) = 2Φ(r, s)Φ(p, q), p, q, r, s ∈ M are abelian. Furthermore, we prove under additional assumption that the solutions of the n-dimensional mixed vector-matrix Wilson's functional equation $$\begin{cases}f(pr, qs) + f(sp, rq) = 2\phi(r, s)f(p, q),\\Φ(p, q) = \phi(q, p),{\quad}p, q, r, s {\in} M\end{cases}$$ are abelian. As an application we solve the first functional equation on groups for the particular case of n = 3.

Traditional circuit partitioning algorithm using the cluster development method, which is suitable for such applications as single chip floor planning or multiple layer PCB system placement, where the clusters are formed so that inter-cluster nets are localized within the I/O connector pins, may not be appropriate for the functiona block placement in truly 3-D electronic modules. 3-D hybrid IC is one such example where the inter-layer routing as well as the intra-layer routing can be maximally incorporated to reduce the overall circuit size, cooling requirements and to improve the speed performance. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm called MBE(Minimum Box Embedding) for the layer assignment of each functional block in 3-D hybrid IC design. The sequence of MBE is as follows` i) force-directed relaxation in 3-D space, ii) exhaustive search for the optimal orientation of the slicing plane and iii) layer assignment. The algorithm is first explaines for a 2-D reduced problem, and then extended for 3-D applications. An example result for a circuit consisting of 80 blocks has been shown.

3D printing technology is a promising technique for fabricating complex 3D architectures based on the CAD/CAM system, and it has been extensively investigated to manufacture structures in the fields of mechanical engineering, space technology, automobiles, and biomedical and electrical applications. Recent advances in the 3D printing of soft structures have received attention for the application of the construction of flexible sensors of soft robotics or the recreation of tissue/organ-specific microenvironments. In this review paper, we would like to focus on delivering state-of-the-art fabrication of soft structures with 3D printing technology and its various applications.
In this paper, we present an interactive 3D character modeling and animation including a data management tool for editing the animation. It includes an animation editor for changing animation sequences according to the modified structure of 3D object in the object structure editor. The animation tool has the feature that it can produce motion data independently of any modeling tool including our modeling tool. Differently from conventional 3D graphics tools that model objects based on geometrically calculated data, our tool models 3D geometric and animation data by approximating to the real object using 2D image interactively. There are some applications that do not need precise representation, but an easier way to obtain an approximated model looking similar to the real object. Our tool is appropriate for such applications. This paper has focused on the data management for enhancing the automatin and convenience when editing a motion or when mapping a motion to the other character.

With the increased development of 3D VR applications augmented by recent VR/AR/MR technologies and by the advance of 3D devices, interchangeability and portability of 3D data have become essential. 3D files should be processed in a standard data format for common usage between applications. Providing standardized libraries and data structures along with the standard file format means that a more efficient system organization is possible and unnecessary processing due to the usage of different file formats and data structures depending on the applications can be omitted. In order to provide the function of using a common data file and data structure, this research is intended to provide a programming binding tool for generating and storing standardized data so that various services can be developed by accessing the common 3D files. To achieve this, this paper defines a common data structure including classes and functions to access X3D files with a standardized scheme using the Python programming language. It describes the implementation of a Python language binding viewer, which is an X3D VR viewer for rendering standard X3D data files based on the language binding interface. The VR viewer includes Python based 3D scene libraries and a data structure for creation, modification, exchange, and transfer of X3D objects. In addition, the viewer displays X3D objects and processes events using the libraries and data structure.
This study focuses on the comparative analysis of ABS polymer samples produced using two distinct manufacturing techniques: 3D printing and the sol-gel methods. In the first approach, ABS polymer was augmented with rare earth oxides, Er2O3 and Gd2O3, in nano powder form and fabricated into test specimens using 3D printing technology. In the second approach, identical samples were prepared via the sol-gel technique involving mold-based fabrication. Elemental content analysis revealed no significant differences between the samples produced by the two methods. The study proceeds to evaluate the gamma-ray shielding, neutron shielding, temperature resistance, and SEM/EDS pictures of ABS samples generated through both techniques. 3D printing method exhibited more favorable results in terms of structure morphology and thermal stability while there is no significant difference for radiation shielding. The results provide insights into the performance and suitability of each production method for radiation shielding applications. This research not only contributes to enhancing radiation shielding technology but also informs the selection of the most appropriate fabrication method for specific applications in nuclear technologies and diagnostic energy range in medical purposes.
Due to the rapid growth of Internet, modern software applications must support many web-based functionalities than traditional software applications. These web-based functional supports increase the complexity of software architecture and the cost of software development. Therefore, the development of an efficient environment that web characteristics are well reflected is the most important. In this thesis, we have presented an efficient environment for development of web applications. For the presented environment, after considering the web characteristics, we defined a Process for web applications and modeling environment. The Presented environment has three main functions : $\circled1$ it Provides a modeling environment for design of web-based applications, $\circled2$ it has a modeling language called WML(web-application modeling language), $\circled3$ it automatically extracts web pages from diagrams. As a result, using the three main functions of the presented environment, we can easily design, develop, and maintain the web applications.

Methods & Results: This paper begins with an overview of major 3-D image reconstruction techniques and their basic principles. Subsequently, their applications in plant and animal morphological analysis are reviewed. A discussion on the limitations and future research direction of 3-D imaging techniques for accurate, fast measurements and modeling of plant and animal morphological analysis follows. Conclusions: Owing to the increasing demand for plant and animal morphological analysis, the application of 3-D imaging techniques will increase in popularity among researchers and the agricultural industry.

Currently, 3D printing technology is a new revolutionary additive manufacturing process that can be used for making three dimensional solid objects from digital films. In 2019, this 3D printing technology spreading vigorously in production parts (57%), bridge production (39%), tooling, fixtures, jigs (37%), repair, and maintenance (38%). The applications of 3D printing are expanding to the defense, aerospace, medical field, and automobile industry. The raw materials are playing a key role in 3D printing. Various additive materials such as plastics, polymers, resins, steel, and metals are used for 3D printing to create a variety of designs. The main advantage of the green cement for 3D printing is to enhance the mechanical properties, and durability to meet the high-quality material using in construction. There are several advantages with 3D printing is a limited waste generation, eco-friendly process, economy, 20 times faster, and less time-consuming. This research article reveals that the role of green cement as an additive material for 3D printing.
