3D 프린팅을 이용한 Pt/Carbon Nanotube composite 기반 전기화학식 황화수소 가스 센서 제작 (Fabrication of Pt/Carbon Nanotube Composite Based Electrochemical Hydrogen Sulfide Gas Sensor using 3D Printing)

  • Among various types of harmful gases, hydrogen sulfide is a strong toxic gas that is mainly generated during spillage and wastewater treatment at industrial sites. Hydrogen sulfide can irritate the conjunctiva even at low concentrations of less than 10 ppm, cause coughing, paralysis of smell and respiratory failure at a concentration of 100 ppm, and coma and permanent brain loss at concentrations above 1000 ppm. Therefore, rapid detection of hydrogen sulfide among harmful gases is extremely important for our safety, health, and comfortable living environment. Most hydrogen sulfide gas sensors that have been reported are electrical resistive metal oxide-based semiconductor gas sensors that are easy to manufacture and mass-produce and have the advantage of high sensitivity; however, they have low gas selectivity. In contrast, the electrochemical sensor measures the concentration of hydrogen sulfide using an electrochemical reaction between hydrogen sulfide, an electrode, and an electrolyte. Electrochemical sensors have various advantages, including sensitivity, selectivity, fast response time, and the ability to measure room temperature. However, most electrochemical hydrogen sulfide gas sensors depend on imports. Although domestic technologies and products exist, more research is required on their long-term stability and reliability. Therefore, this study includes the processes from electrode material synthesis to sensor fabrication and characteristic evaluation, and introduces the sensor structure design and material selection to improve the sensitivity and selectivity of the sensor. A sensor case was fabricated using a 3D printer, and an Ag reference electrode, and a Pt counter electrode were deposited and applied to a Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) filter using PVD. The working electrode was also deposited on a PTFE filter using vacuum filtration, and an electrochemical hydrogen sulfide gas sensor capable of measuring concentrations as low as 0.6 ppm was developed.

이동 물체의 3차원 계측을 위한 PSD 센서 배열 설계 (PSD sensor array design for the 3D measurement of moving objects)

  • Perceiving a 3D moving target is important for automated machines including robots in a factory. Although stereovision or ultrasonic ranging is often employed for the purpose, the former requires high-cost systems, and the latter suffers from low-resolution. In this paper, we propose a PSD sensor array to acquire the 3D profile of an object conveyed by a belt. Rectangular parallelepiped target objects at random positions and orientations are assumed. Nine PSD sensors are configured in a $3{\times}3$ array above the belt, and fired in a sequence so that cross-talk can be avoided. Time gaps among sensor readings are compensated to get a result that is obtainable when sensors' measurements are made simultaneously along a sensing line. The system designed is tested with various objects in experiments.

Four Anchor Sensor Nodes Based Localization Algorithm over Three-Dimensional Space

  • Over a wireless sensor network (WSN), accurate localization of sensor nodes is an important factor in enhancing the association between location information and sensory data. There are many research works on the development of a localization algorithm over three-dimensional (3D) space. Recently, the complexity-reduced 3D trilateration localization approach (COLA), simplifying the 3D computational overhead to 2D trilateration, was proposed. The method provides proper accuracy of location, but it has a high computational cost. Considering practical applications over resource constrained devices, it is necessary to strike a balance between accuracy and computational cost. In this paper, we present a novel 3D localization method based on the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) values of four anchor nodes, which are deployed in the initial setup process. This method provides accurate location estimation results with a reduced computational cost and a smaller number of anchor nodes.

Development of 3-D viewer for indoor location tracking system using wireless sensor network

  • In this paper we present 3-D Navigation View, a three-dimensional visualization of indoor environment which serves as an intuitive and unified user interface for our developed indoor location tracking system via Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) in web environment. The extracted user's spatial information from indoor location tracking system was further processed to facilitate the location indication in virtual 3-D indoor environment based on his location in physical world. External Authoring Interface (EAI) provided by VRML enables the integration of interactive 3-D graphics into web and direct communication with the encapsulated Java applet to update position and viewpoint of user periodically in 3-D indoor environment. As any web browser with VRML viewer plug-in is able to run the platform independent 3-D Navigation View, specialized and expensive hardware or software can be disregarded.

  • 3차원 형상의 물체에 대한 표면 면적을 6축 센서를 사용하여 측정하였다. 3차원 형상의 표면적은 여러 개의 작은 삼각형으로 나타낼 수 있다. 이 여러 개의 삼각형의 합을 구함으로써 표면 면적을 구할 수 있고, 삼각형의 크기가 작으면 작을수록 실제 면적의 크기에 접근 하였다. 실험 결과 평균 7.78%의 오차율을 보였다.

  • 무안경방식 초다시점 3D 영상을 재현하기 위해서는 초다시점 콘텐츠 및 3D 디스플레이 설계가 필수적이다. 본 논문은 무안경방식 초다시점 3D 디스플레이를 설계하기 위한 주요 인자들을 정의하고 이들 상호적인 관계를 이용하여 2D 디스플레이에서 초다시점 3D콘텐츠 정보를 재현하는 시스템을 개발함으로써 디바이스 설계자에게는 능동적으로 디스플레이를 설계할 수 있도록 하고, 콘텐츠 개발자는 실제 초다시점 디스플레이를 설계하지 않고도 시뮬레이션을 통하여 콘텐츠의 입체감을 가이드 할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.

자율주행을 위한 센서 데이터 융합 기반의 맵 생성 (Map Building Based on Sensor Fusion for Autonomous Vehicle)

  • An autonomous vehicle requires a technology of generating maps by recognizing surrounding environment. The recognition of the vehicle's environment can be achieved by using distance information from a 2D laser scanner and color information from a camera. Such sensor information is used to generate 2D or 3D maps. A 2D map is used mostly for generating routs, because it contains information only about a section. In contrast, a 3D map involves height values also, and therefore can be used not only for generating routs but also for finding out vehicle accessible space. Nevertheless, an autonomous vehicle using 3D maps has difficulty in recognizing environment in real time. Accordingly, this paper proposes the technology for generating 2D maps that guarantee real-time recognition. The proposed technology uses only the color information obtained by removing height values from 3D maps generated based on the fusion of 2D laser scanner and camera data.

능동형 센서의 깊이 정보를 이용한 3D 객체 생성 (3D object generation based on the depth information of an active sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 능동형 센서를 이용하여 실사 객체에 대한 깊이 정보 및 칼라 정보를 획득하고 획득된 데이터를 이용하여 3D 객체를 생성하였다. 길이 정보를 획득하는 방법은 능동형 센서 모듈을 내장한 $Zcam^{TM}$ 카메라를 이용하였다. <중략>세 번째, 세부 파라미터를 조절하여 깊이 정보의 왜곡을 보정하고 보정된 깊이 정보를 이용하여 3D 메쉬 모델을 생성한 후, 서로 인접한 외곽 점들을 연결하여 완전한 객체 메쉬 모델을 만든다. 최종적으로, 완성된 객체 메쉬 모델에 칼라 영상 데이터의 칼라 값을 적용해 매핑 처리를 수행함으로써 3D 객체를 생성하였다. 실험을 통해 능동형 센서가 장착된 카메라로 획득한 데이터만으로 3D 객체를 생성할 수 있다는 가능성을 제시하였으며, 3차원 전용 스캐너를 이용한 것보다 데이터 획득이 간편하고 용이함을 알 수 있었다.

LiDAR자료의 3차원 정보를 이용한 최적 Sensor 위치 선정방법론 개발 (Process Development for Optimizing Sensor Placement Using 3D Information by LiDAR)

  • 최근 항공사진과 고해상도 위성영상의 보급과 수치사진측량 시스템 및 분석 알고리즘의 발전으로 인하여 데이터 추출, 영상이미지프로세싱처리, 정밀 대축척지도제작 등의 연구가 진행되고 있지만 2차원 평면 정보라는 제한적인 요소를 가지고 있다. 이에, 높은 위치정확도와 개체인식을 위한 정확한 공간정보와 3차원 좌표가 필요하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 높은 위치정확도가 검증된 LiDAR의 3차원 공간정보를 이용하여 실제 지형을 반영하였고, 센서 최적 위치를 도출하기위해 확률알고리즘을 개발하고 공간분석을 통해 확률 값을 산정하였다. Grid기반인 2차원 3차원 센서위치지점을 생성하고 LiDAR의 3차원정보를 센서감지영역 산정에 적용하였다. 이 데이터를 바탕으로 알고리즘을 구현하여 최적 센서위치지점으로 선정하였다. 또한 최적 센서위치지점 선정 시 고려사항을 3가지 조건으로 나누었다. 첫째조건은 방해물이 없는 2차원인 경우(2-D Non obstacle), 둘째조건은 방해물이 존재하는 2차원인 경우(2-D Obstacle), 셋째는 방해물이 존재하며 3차원인 조건(3-D Obstacle)으로 설정하였다. 이 3가지 조건에 알고리즘을 적용하여 2차원, 3차원적 공간에 대한 최적위치선정 방법을 검토하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서는 LiDAR 데이터를 이용하여 정보 수집을 위한 지상 고정센서 위치 선정 방법론을 제시하고자 하였다.

  • Epoxy composite reinforced with 3-D braided Glass/Aramid hybrid fabric was fabricated. FBG sensor was embedded along the braid yam in order to monitor the changes of the complicated inner region of the 3-D braid structure. The good linearity between Bragg wavelength and temperature was verified by several preliminary experiments. The strain inside 3-D braided beam was estimated using FBG sensor system, and the result was compared with the calculated value. It was found that FBG sensor system is very useful technique to investigate inside region of complicated structure.
