Application systems that easy to access a information have been developed by IT growth and a human life variation. In this paper, we propose a application system to register a 3D footwear model using a monocular camera. In General, a human motion analysis research to body movement. However, this system research a new method to use a foot movement. This paper present a system process and show experiment results. For projection to 2D foot plane from 3D shoe model data, we construct processes that a foot tracking, a projection expression and pose estimation process. This system divide from a 2D image analysis and a 3D pose estimation. First, for a foot tracking, we propose a method that find fixing point by a foot characteristic, and propose a geometric expression to relate 2D coordinate and 3D coordinate to use a monocular camera without a camera calibration. We make a application system, and measure distance error. Then, we confirmed a registration very well.

A new type broadband channel dropping filter which has a potential use as a millimeter-wave multiplexer has been realized by properly connecting 3-dB directional couplers and bandstop filters. 90\ulcorner3-dB directional couplers have been designed using two nonuniformly coupled dielectric image guides, while bandstop filters with Chebyshev passbands have been designed using dielectric image-guide grating structure. Effective dielectric constant method has been aplied to the image-guide dispersion analysis and to the design of bandstop gratings and 3-dB couplers. Experimental results in excellent agreement with computed responses are demonstrated.
Recently, the textile and fashion industry has adopted 3D printing technology, through which filaments are accumulated continuously in the form of sections to produce digitalized three-dimensional fashion products. Little research has been done regarding the consumer perspectives on 3D printed fashion product. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of consumer innovativeness, uniqueness, and perception factors on consumer attitudes and purchasing intentions for 3D printed fashion products. A questionnaire was given to consumers living in Seoul and Kyunggi, South Korea. The data obtained from the 159 completed questionnaires was analyzed by regression analysis, factor analysis, and Cronbach's alpha using SPSS 24.0. The results were as follows: First, consumer innovativeness and uniqueness, in descending order, positively affect the perceived social image. Consumer innovativeness positively affects perceived aesthetics and consumer uniqueness positively affects perceived novelty. Second, social image has a positive effect on consumer attitudes to 3D printed fashion products. Third, consumer attitude positively affects purchasing intentions towards 3D printed fashion products. Fourth, consumer innovativeness and uniqueness, in descending order, have a positive effect on consumer attitudes and purchasing intentions for 3D printed fashion products. Fifth, social image and novelty, in descending order, positively affect purchase intentions for 3D printed fashion products. Therefore fashion firms should develop their marketing strategy to focus on innovative, unique consumers as a main target and aim to enhance buyers' social image by using 3D printed fashion products.
The amount of image data used in medical institution is increasing rapidly with great development of medical technology. Therefore, an automation method that use image processing description, rather than manual macrography of doctors, is required for the analysis large medical data. Specially, medical image registration, which is the process of finding the spatial transform that maps points from one image to the corresponding points in another image, and 3D analysis and visualization skills for a series of 2D images are essential technologies. However, a high establishment cost raise a budget problem, and hence small scaled hospitals hesitate importing these medical visualizing system. In this paper, we propose a visualization system which allows user to manage datasets and manipulates medical images registration using an open source graphics tool - VTK(Visualization Tool Kit). The propose of our research is to get more accurate 3D diagnosis system in less expensive price, compared to existing systems.

Automatic inspection system is required for increment of copper plate production and demand expansion. Thus 3D surface form and defect detection of copper plate calls for 3D image and GUI analysis. Limitation of 2D analysis, such as error occurrence and decision difficulty makes eye inspection automatic. Automatic inspection is able to raise accurate inspection rate and productivity efficiency elevation. In this paper defect classification is defined and inspection system is implemented. Defect analysis algorithms and GUI for 3D image analysis is developed and tested.

In this paper, we examine whether the 3D image experience through a light-field display device showed the difference in the arousal of the user compared with the 2D image experience. For our experiment, the Looking GlassTM (LG) was used as a lightfield display device that provided 3D images, and 2D images were provided by digital and printed images. The subject's facial behavior during each media experience was recorded for analysis and the degree of arousal was measured by FaceReaderTM. As a result, the first image presented in the first order among the three kinds of images showed that there was a statistical difference in the degree of arousal between the three media. However, no significant differences were found between the three media in the other images. This may be because the arousal did not increase from the experience of the second image through the LG, owing to habituation. In conclusion, the 3D imaging experience may appear in the beginning, but does not continue.
For the measurement of biophysical properties related with cardiovascular diseases (CVD), various microfluidic devices were proposed. However, many devices were monitored by optical equipment. Ultrasound measurement to quantify the biophysical properties can provide new insights to understand the cardiovascular diseases. This study aims to check feasibility of microfluidic device for ultrasound image analysis based on 3D printer. To facilitate acoustic transmission, agarose solution is poured around 3D mold connected with holes of the acrylic box. By applying speckle image velocimetry(SIV) technique, flow information in the bifurcated channel was estimated. Considering that ultrasound signal amplitude is determined by red blood cell (RBC) aggregation, RBC aggregation in the bifurcated channel can be estimated through the analysis of ultrasound signal. As examples of microfluidic device which mimic the CVD model, velocity fields in microfluidic devices with stenosis and aneurysm were introduced.
Significant feature extraction in cancer cell image analysis is an important process for grading cell carcinoma. In this study, we propose a method for 3D quantitative analysis of cell nuclei based upon digital image cytometry. First, we acquired volumetric renal cell carcinoma data for each grade using confocal laser scanning microscopy and segmented cell nuclei employing color features based upon a supervised teaming scheme. For 3D visualization, we used a contour-based method for surface rendering and a 3D texture mapping method for volume rendering. We then defined and extracted the 3D morphological features of cell nuclei. To evaluate what quantitative features of 3D analysis could contribute to diagnostic information, we analyzed the statistical significance of the extracted 3D features in each grade using an analysis of variance (ANOVA). Finally, we compared the 2D with the 3D features of cell nuclei and analyzed the correlations between them. We found statistically significant correlations between nuclear grade and 3D morphological features. The proposed method has potential for use as fundamental research in developing a new nuclear grading system for accurate diagnosis and prediction of prognosis.
This paper is concerned with realistic mainpulation of content in video sequences. Manipulation of content in video sequences is one of the content-based functionalities for MPEG-4 Visual standard. We present an approach to synthesizing video sequences by using the intermediate outputs of three-dimensional (3D) motion and depth analysis. For concreteness, we focus on video showing 3D motion of an observer relative to a scene containing planar runways (or roads). We first present a simple runway (or road) model. Then, we describe a method of identifying the runway (or road) boundary in the image using the Point of Heading Direction (PHD) which is defined as the image of, the ray along which a camera moves. The 3D motion of the camera is obtained from one of the existing 3D analysis methods. Then, a video sequence containing a runway is manipulated by (i) coloring the scene part above a vanishing line, say blue, to show sky, (ii) filling in the occluded scene parts, and (iii) overlaying the identified runway edges and placing yellow disks in them, simulating lights. Experimental results for a real video sequence are presented.
