  • 'Jump' control is one of several game controls using mainly in 2D game, and 'Jump' control is also very important in 3D game that has been developed steadily due to the advance of programing technology. 3D MMORPG among some kinds of 3D games is the most popular as on-line game in domestic game market these days. This study will give domestic game developers ideas and solutions through analyzing and testing problems caused by applying 'Jump' control technique as control interface of 3D MMORPG game.

  • In the Contents industry, especially in the field of game contents the area receiving the most spotlight is 3D. With qualitative and quantitative developments in games continue, interest in 3D is becoming more significant. As a result studies and actual application in the area of 3D in the game industry are being most actively conducted. It is true that 3D game characters do not have the same level of natural movement compared to the previous 2D characters. In order to overcome the limitations of movement control of the Key frame method, the method that is currently being rapidly developed is a movement control method using motion capture system. In this study, the focus is placed in production of natural character animation through movement control through linkage of 3D game characters and motion capture system. Hence, production of natural 3D game character animation through a single central action was established as the purpose of this study.

  • Game production education in a university is very important because it is the stage for completing a game education course as well as for determining a future of game industry. In order to perform various experience and creative learning, it should be able to effectively use a computer infrastructure representing the knowledge and information society for the purpose of obtaining and re-processing information necessary for game production through prediction of directions of game industry as well information technology. This research is focused on an effective game engine education for students whom want to become game graphics designers. The purpose of this study is to draw a lesson of game production utilizing game engines and it enables practice-focused class for game production. It also allows the class participant to manufacture prototypes without support from game programmers for their outcomes of works planned during the game production class. The theoretical background of game production compared and analyzed exemplary game engines. Based on the result, the study selected Unity 3D engine and conducted the research on the background where the Unity engine has been selected and its characteristics. In addition, this study provided an example of game production utilizing a game engine, and also described the details of actual realization. This study selected Torque3D with the Unity in order to identify the purpose of this study and efficiency of learning. Thus, the previous situation is that the class remained in making a game plan during the course of game production project and, students whose major is not game programming. Now, it is necessary for students to make many efforts to make a game in an active and positive attitude by utilizing a game engine beyond the previous method of class.

  • 3D character animation grow rapidly with the development of computer graphic technology and software. Nowadays 3D character animation holds a important position in the various industry fields including movie, advertisement, animation, and game. With the rapid growth of computer graphic, real time animation of complex characters as well as high quality rendering, which was impossible before, are now prevailing. What is remarkable in this growth is the appearance of virtual idol. The virtual idol plays a leading role in 3D character animation and has a synergy effect in the field of fancy and theme park industry.   • Flash is the most popular 2D animation and game development software, supporting vector and media technology at the core, which enables the development of small and pithy games. It is widely used in Web animation, courseware, TV commercials, game development, and other works of design. In this paper, we propose a control movement function and auxiliary functions for an alpine skiing game based on ActionScript 3.0. The control movement function is designed with moving phases (i.e., free fall, sliding, projectile, and landing). The auxiliary functions include drawing path, start/restart movement, and saving the highest score. In addition, for the visual design of our game, we designed animations in connection with a character and background. In order to facilitate testing the friction, users can input a chosen friction value. Without user input, the friction default is set at 0.97.

  • Computer game has become the core part of multimedia area in our knowledge and information based society Recently, computer game has been evolving into on-line 3D games which give players more realism from the existing on-line 2D games. We are competitive in developing on-line 2D games. However, we have difficulties in maintaining the competitive edge in the area of 3D game technologies owing to the limited technologies. In this paper, we design and develop Aria Online, an on-line 3D prototype game using Dream3D. The on-line game supports simultaneous connections of multi -users on each game server and full flexibility on user's view.

  • We can travel every imaginary world and do every impossible thing via 3D character. People interest in 3D character animation for modeling like real world due to the increase of 3D game and imaginary Virtual Reality on the internet. In this paper, new framework for present of 3D character of high quality is applied. I represent 3-dimensional Humanoid modeling and animation technology and show the adequacy via simulation for various and natural representation certificate using VRML as a Web3D information type and XML.

  • 3D character animation uses the various entertainment factors such as movie, advertisement, game and cyber idol and occupies an important position in video industry. Although character animation makes various productions and real expressions possible, it is difficult to make character like human body without anatomical understanding of human body. Human body anatomy is the basic knowledge which analyzes physical structure anatomically, gives a lot of helps to make character modeling and make physical movement and facial expression delicately when character animation is produced. Therefore this study examines structure and proportion of human body and focuses on character modeling and animation production based on anatomical understanding of human body.

  • In this paper, we present an emulation library for the essential features and their API function calls provided by Direct3D, the most actively used API for computer game-related application programs on the MS-Windows-based desktop's, with OpenGL library in the Linux environment. In typical Linux-based systems, only the X window system and OpenGL graphics library are available. There are lots of needs for this kind of emulation library to convert the Direct3D-based game applications and user interfaces on these systems. Through carefully selecting the essential API functions from the DirectX version 9.0, we obtained the prototype implementation of that emulation library, to finally get the final full-scale DirectX implementation. Our implementation currently covers 3D coordinate transformations, light and material processing, texture mapping, simple animation features and more. We showed its feasibility through successfully executing a set of Direct3D demonstration programs including a real-world game character animation on our implementation.
