Transmission Performance of MANET on 3D Underwater Communication Environments (3D 수중통신환경에서 MANET의 전송성능)

  • Underwater communication, which is used acoustic channel of 1500[m/s] speed being different of wireless electric wave in terrestrial communication, is sensitive on water temperature and salinity and also affected from 3D underwater space. 3D underwater communication is sensitive on propagation loss of acoustic wave and underwater noise with complexity of communication space. In this paper, transmission performance with consideration of these characteristics of 3D underwater communication environments is measured and analyzed on MANET operated on 3D underwater communication environments. Some underwater MANET operation conditions will be suggested. Computer simulation with underwater simulator based on NS-2 will be used for performance measure, performance parameter like as throughput, transmission delay, packet loss rate and consumed energy will be used in simulation for performance measure.

  • 현재 상용화되고 전자칠판에 쓰이는 모든 소프트웨어는 2D 판서를 지원하는 소프트웨어였으나 최근 3D TV등의 지속적인 보급과 3D 전자칠판의 점차적인 보급으로 인하여 최근의 추세에 맞추어 3D 화면에 동작하는 3D 판서를 요구하고 있다. 업계에서는 점차 3D 판서가 대두됨에 따라 3D판서를 할 수 있는 새로운 기법이 등장해야 하는 시기이다. 본 논문은 3D 전자칠판의 하드웨어에 이용될 수 있는 알고리즘의 연구이다. 3D 전용 패널을 활용한 하드웨어에 최적화된 3D 판서 소프트웨어에 포함 될 방법론을 제시한다. 이를 위해 기존의 판서 소프트웨어의 방법론과 함께 기본적인 3D의 원리를 이용하여 구현된 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • To improve the throughput of Device-to-Device (D2D) communication, we focus on the scenario where D2D pair can reuse multi-channel of cellular communication. However, as sharing same channel with cellular communication can cause interference between D2D communication and cellular communication, a proper interference management is needed. In this paper, we propose interference-based channel allocation to select the channels to be used by D2D communication and a solution from game theory perspective to optimize the D2D communication throughput under multi-channel as well as guarantee the interference from it to cellular network. The simulation results verify the stability of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 3D 타이포그래피를 쉽게 표현할 수 있도록 지원하는 라이브러리를 설계 구현하였다. 현재까지 모바일 플랫폼에서 3D 타이포그래피를 지원하기 위한 라이브러리는 iOS에서 사용가능한 FTGL ES만이 공개되었고 이를 직접 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 사용할 수 없으며 제공되는 3D 표현 기능 또한 제한적이었다. 본 연구에서는 iOS용 FTGL ES를 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 사용할 수 있도록 변환하고 OpenGL ES기능을 활용하여 다양한 3D 폰트 표현을 지원할 수 있는 3D 폰트 라이브러리를 개발하였다. Freetype 라이브러리를 통해 폰트의 Glyph 정보들을 얻고 이를 이용해 테두리, 양각, 음각 등 다양한 3D 문자 표현 기능을 구현하였고, 공간상에서 문자들의 배치를 수학적으로 모델링하여 다양한 3D 문자 배치 기능을 구현하였다. 개발된 3D 폰트 라이브러리를 이용하여 다양하게 문자들을 3D 공간에 표현할 수 있으면서, 기존 3D 타이포그래피 표현 방법들에 비해 더 쉽고 빠르게 3D 타이포그래피를 표현할 수 있도록 지원한다.

Performance Comparison of 3D File Formats on a Mobile Web Browser

  • As smartphone H/W performance and mobile communication service have been enhanced, large-capacity 3D modeling files are available in smartphones. Common formats of 3D modeling files include STL (STereoLithography), OBJ (Wavefront file format specification), FBX (Filmbox), and glTF (open GL Transmission Format). Each format has different characteristics depending on the configuration and functions, and formats that are supported are varied depending on the applications. Large-size files are commonly used. The 4th generation mobile communication network secures loading of 3D modeling files and transmission of large-size geometric files in order to provide augmented reality services via smartphones. This paper explains the concepts and characteristics of major 3D file formats such as OBJ, FBX, and glTF. In addition, it compares their performance in a wired web with that in the 4th generation mobile communication network. The loading time and packet transmission in each 3D format are also measured by means of different mobile web browsers (Google Chrome and MS Edge). The experiment result shows that glTF demonstrated the most efficient performance while the loading time of OBJ was relatively excessive. Findings of this study can be utilized in selecting specific 3D file formats for rendering time reduction depending on the mobile web environments.

  • 본 논문에서는 한국인의 3D 모델을 구성하고, 개인 체형에 따라 3D 모델을 변형하여, 3D 패션코디 방법을 제안하고 있다. 한국인에 대한 다양한 체형을 표현하기 위하여, 성별, 체형별, 나이별로 세분화하여 3D 모델 36종을 구성하고 있다. 개인 체형에 대한 3D 모델을 얻기 위해 구성된 3D 모델의 높이 12 항목, 넓이 6항목, 두께 5항목, 둘레 13항목을 변형하고 있다. 나아가서, 셔츠와 치마의 의복 3D 모델의 체형변화에 따라 의복 3D 모델을 정합하고 있다.

Visual Fatigue Reduction Based on Depth Adjustment for DIBR System

  • A depth adjustment method for visual fatigue reduction for depth-image-based rendering (DIBR) system is proposed. One important aspect of the method is that no calibration parameters are needed for adjustment. By analyzing 3D image warping, the perceived depth is expressed as a function of three adjustable parameters: virtual view number, scale factor and depth value of zero parallax setting (ZPS) plane. Adjusting these three parameters according to the proposed parameter modification algorithm when performing 3D image warping can effectively change the perceived depth of stereo pairs generated in DIBR system. As the depth adjustment is performed in simple 3D image warping equations, the proposed method is facilitative for hardware implementation. Experimental results show that the proposed depth adjustment method provides an improvement in visual comfort of stereo pairs as well as generating comfortable stereoscopic images with different perceived depths that people desire.

  • 교실 현대화 또는 교과교실 지원 사업에 의하여 현재 대부분의 학교는 2D 형 LCD 타입의 전자칠판을 설치하여 운용하고 있으며, 현재는 3D 전자칠판의 도입이 활성화되고 있는 시기이다. 본 연구는 상호응답형 3D 전자칠판에 대한 연구이다. 상호응답형 3D 전자칠판의 구성은 영상을 제어를 위한 AD보드, 3D 변환을 위한 3D변환 포맷터, 해상도 제어를 위한 FRC보드로 결합되며, 상호응답형 전자칠판을 구현하기위해 {x,y,z} 좌표 축출을 위한 전자팬 및 양안 카메라 기술을 적용했다. 또한 실시간 3D 판서 운용을 위한 3D 판서소프트웨어에 대한 구현 방법과 운용 구성에 대하여 연구했다.

  • In this paper, 3D input and output systems for a web-based real-time 3D video communication system using IEEE 1394 digital cameras, Intel Xeon Server system and Microsoft Directshow library is proposed. And some conditions for optimizing the operations of the stereo camera, 3D display and signal processing system are analyzed. Input & output systems are carefully selected, which can satisfy the required optimization conditions and the final 3D video communication system is implemented by using three optimized devices. The overall control system is developed with Microsoft Visual C++.Net and Microsoft DirectX 9.1 SDK. Some experimental results show that the observer can feel the natural presence from multi-view(4-view) 3D video of server system in real-time and also can feel the natural presence from 3D video of client system and finally suggest an application possibility of the proposed web-based real-time 3D video communication in real fields.

Design and Fabrication of WLAN / UWB Antenna for Marine High Speed Communication Network System (해양 초고속 통신망 시스템을 위한 WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) / UWB(Ultra Wide Band)용 안테나 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, we designed and fabricated WLAN / UWB communication antennas operating at 3.3 [GHz] and 5 [GHz] bands in order to effectively use the high-speed communication network system that improved antenna miniaturization, gain and radiation pattern. Microstrip patch antennas were chosen to improve the bandwidth. The slot width, length, and transmission line width were calculated using the theoretical formula for each step. Simulation results show that the return loss is -14.053 [dB] at 3.3 [GHz] and -13.118 [dB] at 5 [GHz]. The gain showed a value of 2.479 [dBi] at 3.3 [GHz] and a value of 3.317 [dBi] at 5 [GHz]. After optimizing it with the CST Microwave Studio 2014 program, which can be 3D-designed, Based on these results, we investigated the performance of antennas by measuring their characteristics. In recent years, WLAN, which is a variety of wireless technologies that are continuously developing, and UWB, which is a communication technology which is increasing in frequency band due to an increase in demand of the technology users, is used for a high speed wireless communication system. Communication seems to be possible.
