An Application of loop-loop EM Method for Geotechnical Survey (지반조사를 위한 loop-loop 전자탐사 기법의 적용)

  • Loop-loop electromagnetic (EM) survey in frequency domain has been carried out in order to provide basic solution to geotechnical applications. Source and receiver configuration may be horizontal co-planar (HCP) and/or vertical co-planar (VCP). Three quadrature components of mutual impedance ratio for each configuration are used to construct the subsurface image. For the purpose of obtaining the model response and validating the reasonable performance of the inversion, we obtained each responses of two-layered and three-layered earth models and two-dimensional (2-D) isolated anomalous body. The response of 2-D isolated anomalous body has been calculated using extended Born approximation for the solution of 2.5-D integral equation describing EM scattering problem. As a result of the least-squares inversion with variable Lagrangian multiplier, we could construct more resolvable image from HCP data than VCP data. Furthermore, joint inversion of HCP and VCP data made better stability and resolution of the inversion. Resistivity values, however, did not exactly match the true ones. Loop-loop EM field data was obtained with EM34-3XL system manufactured by Geonics Ltd. (Canada). Electrical resistivity survey was conducted on the same line for the comparison in advance. Since the constructed image from loop-loop EM data by 2-D inversion algorithm showed almost similar resistivity distribution to that from electrical resistivity one, we expect the developed 2.5-D loop-loop EM inversion program can be applied for the reconnaissance site survey.

Building Boundary Extraction from Airborne LIDAR Data (항공 라이다자료를 이용한 건물경계추출에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the increasing need for 3D spatial data, modeling of topography and artificial structures plays an important role in three-dimensional Urban Analysis. This study suggests a methodology for solving the problem of calculation for the extraction of building boundary, minimizing the user's intervention, and automatically extracting building boundary, using the LIDAR data. The methodology suggested in this study is characterized by combining the merits of the point-based process and the image-based process. The procedures for extracting building boundary are three steps: 1) LIDAR point data are interpolated to extract approximately building region. 2) LIDAR point data are triangulated in each individual building area. 3) Extracted boundary of each building is then simplified in consideration of its area, minimum length of building.The performance of the developed methodology is evaluated using real LIDAR data. Through the experiment, the extracted building boundaries are compared with digital map.

Dimensional Quality Assessment for Assembly Part of Prefabricated Steel Structures Using a Stereo Vision Sensor (스테레오 비전 센서 기반 프리팹 강구조물 조립부 형상 품질 평가)

  • This study presents a technique for assessing the dimensional quality of assembly parts in Prefabricated Steel Structures (PSS) using a stereo vision sensor. The stereo vision system captures images and point cloud data of the assembly area, followed by applying image processing algorithms such as fuzzy-based edge detection and Hough transform-based circular bolt hole detection to identify bolt hole locations. The 3D center positions of each bolt hole are determined by correlating 3D real-world position information from depth images with the extracted bolt hole positions. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is then employed to calculate coordinate axes for precise measurement of distances between bolt holes, even when the sensor and structure orientations differ. Bolt holes are sorted based on their 2D positions, and the distances between sorted bolt holes are calculated to assess the assembly part's dimensional quality. Comparison with actual drawing data confirms measurement accuracy with an absolute error of 1mm and a relative error within 4% based on median criteria.

The Effect of PET Scan Time on the Off-Line PET Image Quality in Proton Therapy (양성자 치료에서 영상 획득 시간에 따른 Off Line PET의 효율성 검증)

  • Purpose Proton therapy can deliver an optimal dose to tumor while reducing unnecessary dose to normal tissue as compared the conventional photon therapy. As proton beams are irradiated into tissue, various positron emitters are produced via nuclear fragmentation reactions. These positron emitters could be used for the dose verification by using PET. However, the short half-life of the radioisotopes makes it hard to obtain the enough amounts of events. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of off-line PET imaging scan time on the PET image quality. Materials and Methods The various diameters of spheres (D=37, 28, 22 mm) filled with distilled water were inserted in a 2001 IEC body phantom. Then proton beams (100 MU) were irradiated into the center of the each sphere using the wobbling technique with the gantry angle of $0^{\circ}$. The modulation widths of the spread out bragg peak were 16.4, 14.7 and 9.3 cm for the spheres of 37, 28 and 22 mm in diameters respectively. After 5 min of the proton irradiation, the PET images of the IEC body phantom were obtained for 50 min. The PET images with different time courses (0-10 min, 11-20 min, 21-30 min, 31-40 min and 41-50 min) were obtained by dividing the frame with a duration of 10 min. In order to evaluate the off-line PET image quality with the different time courses, the contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) of the PET image calculated for each sphere. Results The CNRs of the sphere (D=37 mm) were 0.43, 0.42, 0.40, 0.31 and 0.21 for the time courses of 0-10 min, 11-20 min, 21-30 min, 31-40 min and 41-50 min respectively. The CNRs of the sphere (D=28 mm) were 0.36, 0.32, 0.27, 0.19 and 0.09 for the time courses of 0-10 min, 11-20 min, 21-30 min, 31-40 min and 41-50 min respectively. The CNR of 37 mm sphere was decreased rapidly after 30 min of the proton irradiation. In case of the spheres of 28 mm and 22 mm, the CNR was decreased drastically after 20 min of the irradiation. Conclusion The off-line PET imaging time is an important factor for the monitoring of the proton therapy. In case of the lesion diameter of 22 mm, the off-line PET image should be obtained within 25 min after the proton irradiation. When it comes to small size of tumor, the long PET imaging time will be beneficial for the proton therapy treatment monitoring.

  • 급속한 도시화 및 지구온난화로 인한 집중호우로 홍수피해가 해마다 증가하고 있다. 홍수피해를 최소화하기 위하여 4대강 중심의 홍수예경보시스템이 구축되는 등 다양한 제도적 장치가 마련되고 있으나 중소하천이 분포되어 있는 도시유역에서의 홍수예측기능은 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 중소 도시하천에 적용 가능한 실시간 도시홍수예측서비스 시스템(Realtime Urban Flood Forecasting Service, U-FFS)을 개발하였다. 경기도 성남에 위치한 탄천을 대상유역으로 선정하고 실시간 강우 및 수위관측소를 설치하여 수문데이타를 수집하였으며 이를 바탕으로 수위예측모형을 구축하였다. 모형구축에는 이미 국내외 학계에서 그 정확도가 입증된 바 있는 Data-driven 모델의 일종인 ANFIS(Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System)를 이용하였다. 개발된 수위예측모형은 지정된 시간에 자동으로 작동 가능한 실행파일로 프로그래밍되어 최종적으로 홍수예측 웹서비스와 연동된다. U-FFS는 집중호우 발생 시 최종 유출구의 30분, 1시간, 2시간 후의 수위 예측값을 웹 상을 통해 제공함으로써 언제 어디서나 홍수예측 정보를 누구나 손쉽게 획득할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 시범운영 결과, 30분 및 1시간 후의 수위 예측은 정확도가 매우 뛰어났으며 2시간 후의 수위 예측의 정확성은 다소 떨어지는 것으로 확인되었으나 전반적인 홍수예측 판단에는 무리가 없을 것으로 예상된다. 본 시스템의 홍수예측모형은 생성 및 수정이 간편하여 그 활용성이 매우 높을 것으로 기대된다. 특히 안전함을 지향하는 각종 U-City나 홍수피해가 빈번한 도시유역에 적용하면 기존 시스템과 차별화된 실시간 홍수예측 서비스가 가능해져 홍수피해를 최소화할 수 있을 것이다. 취수구 직경 D의 3.3배를 벗어나지 않는다는 결과를 도출할 수 있었다.링 목적으로 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서 개발한 영상수위계는 한강홍수통제소 관할의 전류, 청담대교 등 4개소 낙동강 홍수통제소 2개소, 지자체 등에 적용되었으며, 적용 결과 비교적 안정적이면서 정확하게 수위를 측정하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 기존 CCD 카메라 이외에 CCTV를 이용한 영상수위계를 개발하여 영상의 화질 개선뿐 아니라 하천화상 감시 기능을 강화하였다.소류의 섭취율은 높았다. 집단간의 상관도를 보면 교육별로 김치, 장아찌, 콩이 각각 p>0.5 수준에서 유의한 차가 없었고, 나머지는 유의한 차가 있었다. 연령별로는 멸치가 유의한 차가 없었고(p>0.5), 수입별로는 콩이 유의한 차가 없었다(p>0.5). 4. 영양지식(營養知識) 검토 가정생활(家庭生活)에 필요(必要)한 일반적(一般的)인 영양지식(營養知識)은 대체적으로 낮은 편이었다. 어린이 영양, 편식의 해로움, 비만증의 해로움, 임신부 그리고 수유부 영양에 대하여는 일반적으로 알고 있다고 하였으며, 그다음으로 이유기 영양, 어린이 발육에 필요한 식품, 식품과 영양소와의 관계, 우유의 성분, 노인영양에 대하여 잘 알고 있는 비율이 낮았으며, 인체의 영양소, 식단작성여부, 간식의 이론, 식품감별법에 대하여는 가장 낮은 비율을 나타냈다. 각 영양지식은 교육정도가 높을수록 영양지식이 높았고, 교육별 집단간의 유의한 차가 나타났다.   • 최근 기후변화에 의해 단기간에 많은 양의 집중호우가 발생하여 도시지역의 침수 피해가 증가하고 있다. 이에 도시지역의 홍수 피해 해결을 위해 도심지 홍수 발생 시 홍수정도 및 상황을 파악할 수 있는 장비가 개발되었으나, 실용화 단계까지는 진행이 미흡한 상황이다. 또한 기존 도시지역 홍수 현상 및 원인을 분석하기 위해 수치모형을 활용하고 있으나, 우수관망의 노후화 및 초기 강우패턴 적용에 대한 정확한 해석결과의 어려워 활용성이 낮다. 또한 홍수정도와 발생상황 인지를 위한 계측 장비의 개발 연구는 지속적으로 진행되고 있으나, 계측 장비의 높은 가격으로 전국적으로 설치 할 수 없는 상황으로 이를 대응하기 위한 별도의 방안 마련이 필요한 실정이다. 이를 위해 본 과제에서는 고성능·저비용 계측센서를 개발하여 실용화 가능성을 높이고, 전국에 산재되어있는 CCTV(교통상황, 방법용 등)의 영상을 활용한 침수상황 인지 기술 개발, 계측 데이터와 모니터링 데이터의 활용을 위한 빅데이터 개방 플랫폼을 구축하여, 상습 침수지역에 대해 실시간 감시가 가능한 계측 시스템의 정형 데이터와 CCTV 및 영상 등 모니터링 장비의 비정형 데이터의 분석 기술을 결합한 새로운 도심지 홍수 감시 기술의 개발을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구 1차년도에 지표면 침수심 계측센서와 우수관망 월류심 계측센서를 개발하였으며, 2차년도에는개발된 계측센서의 현장실증을 통해 데이터를 수집한다. 수집된 계측센서 데이터와 비정형(CCTV 영상) 데이터의 AI학습을 통해 분석된 침수심, 침수범위, 침수면적 데이터는 도심지 홍수 정보 프로그램을 통해 표출되며, 최종적으로는 현장 상황을 쉽게 파악 가능한 3D 레이어의 형식으로 표출하고자 한다. 추후 도심지 홍수 정보 프로그램을 통해 표출되는 3D 레이어는 환경부가 추진하는 DT(Digital Twin) 연계 인공지능(AI) 홍수예보 사업과의 연계 시 도심지 홍수 지도 구축을 위한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

EM Tomography by Extended Born Approximations (확장된 Born 근사에 의한 EM 토모그래피)

  • EM tomography technique has been developed. The algorithm used the extended Born approximations for forward modeling and reconstructed a conductivity image by a smoothness constraint least squares inversion method. Observed data, the vertical components of secondary magnetic fields, were simulated with the 3-D integral equation code. The results showed that the location of anomalous body could be imaged very well, but conductivity of the body was lower than real one and the vertical resolution was much higher than the horizontal resolution.

Digital approach integrating 3D facial scan and a virtual mockup for esthetic restorative treatment: A case report (심미보철 수복을 위한 3차원 안면스캔과 가상 보철물 시각화를 이용한 디지털 치료 증례)

  • This clinical case report describes the digital workflow that combines a face scan, cone beam computed tomography and an intraoral scan to visualize the outcome of prosthodontic treatment in the anterior region. This approach improves communication between clinic, laboratory and patients. A patient with healthy general condition came for a restorative treatment to treat post-traumatic central incisors of maxilla. A virtual patient replica was made by incorporating a face scan, cone beam computed tomography and an intraoral scan. Design mockup of definitive restorations was shown to the patient and modified according to the patient's desire. This digital workflow facilitates the fabrication of optimal esthetic restorations, and enhances the predictability of outcome of restorations.

IMAGE FUSION ACCURACY FOR THE INTEGRATION OF DIGITAL DENTAL MODEL AND 3D CT IMAGES BY THE POINT-BASED SURFACE BEST FIT ALGORITHM (Point-based surface best fit 알고리즘을 이용한 디지털 치아 모형과 3차원 CT 영상의 중첩 정확도)

  • Purpose: The goal of this study was to develop a technique for creating a computerized composite maxillofacial-dental model, based on point-based surface best fit algorithm and to test its accuracy. The computerized composite maxillofacial-dental model was made by the three dimensional combination of a 3-dimensional (3D) computed tomography (CT) bone model with digital dental model. Materials and Methods: This integration procedure mainly consists of following steps : 1) a reconstruction of a virtual skull and digital dental model from CT and laser scanned dental model ; 2) an incorporation of dental model into virtual maxillofacial-dental model by point-based surface best fit algorithm; 3) an assessment of the accuracy of incorporation. To test this system, CTs and dental models from 3 volunteers with cranio-maxillofacial deformities were obtained. And the registration accuracy was determined by the root mean squared distance between the corresponding reference points in a set of 2 images. Results and Conclusions: Fusion error for the maxillofacial 3D CT model with the digital dental model ranged between 0.1 and 0.3 mm with mean of 0.2 mm. The range of errors were similar to those reported elsewhere with the fiducial markers. So this study confirmed the feasibility and accuracy of combining digital dental model and 3D CT maxillofacial model. And this technique seemed to be easier for us that its clinical applicability can good in the field of digital cranio-maxillofacial surgery.

  • Recently, in a field of cadastre, a computerization of cadastral map is in progress with great growth of GSIS field. Also, the needs fer the integration of land and building information are widely increasing for integral-management and its application of various land related information. Through a revision of cadastral laws to replace the existing 2D-Cadastre with the 3D-Cadastre, a legal basis to register the position of buildings and facilities is prepared in the governmental or civil fields. This paper presented 3D-Cadastre theory that has been studied on Europe and surveyed building position directly with Totalstation at cadastral control point after choosing pilot test area, Also, the most efficient surveying method of registering building in a cadastral map is presented with comparing and analyzing building position after surveying digital orthophoto and digital map. And it is constructed a 3D information cadastral map model that can make the integral management of land, building, connecting land recorders, building management ledgers, building titles, building pictures, and related attribute information.
