Development of a SHA with 100 MS/s for High-Speed ADC Circuits (고속 ADC 회로를 위한 100 MS/s의 샘플링의 SHA 설계)

  • In this article, we have designed SHA, which has 12 Bit resolution at an input signal range of 1 $V_{pp}$ and operates at a sampling speed of 100 MS/s in order to use at front of high speed ADC. SFDR(Spurious Free Dynamic Range) of the proposed system drops to approximately 66.3 dB resolution when the input frequency is 5 MHz, and the sampling frequency is 100 MHz, however, the circuit without a feedthrough has 12 bit resolution with approximately 73 dB.

  • This paper proposes a digital storytelling system that employs a method of making users simple online sketch being animated in 3D. To help users focus on their story development, our proposed system gives sketch guidelines providing 3D scene structure, and publishes final results as animated scenes with story text across time. This system is based on the web and the authoring process can also be shared with others.

  • Due to the advance of H/W and S/W techniques to play 3D sound, the virtual space contented by 3D graphics and sounds can provide users more improved realities and vividness. However for the small 3D contents developers and companies, it is hard to implement 3D sound techniques because the implementation requires expensive sound engines, 3D sound technical understanding and 3D sound programming skills. Therefore 3D-sound-playing-interface is necessary to easy and cost-effective 3D sound implementation. Using this interface, graphics experts can easily add 3D sound techniques to their applications. In this paper, the followings are designed and implemented as a preliminary stage in the way of developing the 3D sound playing interface. First, we develop 3D sound S/W modules converting mono to 3D sound in PC based systems. Second, we develop the interconnection modules to map 3D graphic objects and sound sources. The developed modules in this paper can allow the user to percept sound source position and surround effect at the moving positions in the virtual world. In the coming works, we are going to develop the more completed 3D sound playing interface consisted of the synchronization technique for sound and moving objects, and HRTF.

  • The proposed cooperative 3D modelling system enables more efficient modeling works by improving current cooperation systems. Current 3D modeling tasks work on off-line and most of works are cooperation systems which communicate by files. These cooperation system cannot be interactive, occurs time delay while feedback and must have some programs which can read the files. This paper solves these problems using web that has the characteristics of network and proposes new cooperation system form. Using WebGL(Web Graphics Library) which is proposing technology in technical realization of Web 3D modeling, we make 3D objects in web browser and these objects can be manipulated by server-client communication. Therefore, if people use this system, they can use real time interaction and feedback. Also this system lowers a software installation necessity and can access everytime if web browser is installed.

  • This paper presents an integrated low noise and highly linear wideband RF front-end for a digital terrestrial and cable TV tuner, which are used as a part of double-conversion TV tuner. The low noise amplifier (LNA) has a low noise figure and high linearity by adopting a noise canceling technique based on current amplification. The up-conversion mixer and SAW buffer have high linearity by employing a third order intermodulation cancellation technique. The proposed RF front-end is designed in a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS and draws 60 mA from a 1.8 V supply voltage. The RF front-end shows a voltage gain of 30 dB, an average single side-band noise figure of 4.2 dB, an IIP2 of 40 dBm, and an IIP3 of -4.5 dBm for the entire band from 48 MHz to 862Hz.

  • Recently, in the smart construction field, it is possible to construct spatial information of 3D data base quickly and accurately using drones, LiDARs and ARs,. Most public ordering institutions are pushing for the efficiency of construction work through establishing and announcing road maps and guidelines for utilizing BIM for the entire life cycle of construction. However, in most policies, the impact of 3D data on the entire life cycle is limited by only partially constructing and utilizing 3D data or by being mentioned. In addition, many public institutions, construction companies and planning companies did not actively utilize survey information during the actual construction phase, despite the possibility of using 3D survey information. In order to confirm the utilization of survey information, a total of eight private construction companies were selected and interviewed by experts. The analysis shows that most of companies lack the performance of drone measurements or have a lack of awareness of advantages, and among them, construction companies are relatively active. Based on these opinions, this study examined the usability of surveying information and examined measures to expand the utilization of survey information in legal and institutional aspects, technology development aspects and industrial development.

Design and Fabrication of Multilayer Diplexer for Dual Band GSM/DCS Applications using Lumped Elements (집중 소자를 이용한 이중 대역 GSM/DCS용 적층형 다이플렉서의 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, the modeling and design of high-Q multilayer passives and multilayer diplexer for GSM/DCS applications designed and fabricated using these passives have been investigated.. To miniaturize the system, configurations of inductor and capacitor have involved a square spiral structure and a vertically-interdigitated capacitor similar to 3D interdigital structure, respectively. Multilayer diplexers for GSM/DCS applications were designed and fabricated to apply high-Q multilayer passives to practical systems, which were designed by the proposed structural and equivalent circuit model. LPF for GSM band had the passband insertion loss of less than 0.55 dB, the return loss of more than 12 dB, and the isolation level of more than 26 dB by locating attenuation pole at 1800 MHz. HPF for DCS band had the passband insertion loss of less than 0.82 dB, the return loss of more than 11 dB, and the isolation level of more than 38 dB by locating attenuation pole at 930 MHz.

  • This paper describes a 12-bit high speed pipeline CMOS A/D converter. The A/D converter simulated the 0.35${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ n-well CMOS technology. The results show DNL and INL of $\pm$0.5LSB and $\pm$1.0LSB, conversion rate of 100Msamples/s, and power dissipation of 500㎽ with a power supply of 3.3V
