CrMoV 터빈로터강에서 모의 열영향부 시험편을 이용한 재열균열 민감도평가 (Evaluation of Reheat Cracking Susceptibility with Simulated Heat Affected Zones in Cr-Mo-V Turbine Rotor Steel)

  • The evaluation of reheat cracking susceptibility in CrMoV turbine rotor steel was performed using thermally simulated heat affected zones. The examinations were carried out in terms of microstructural characterization, microhardness measurement and a Charpy type notch opening three point bend test. It was found that reheat cracking susceptibility increased as the peak temperature increased. This effect was due to the combined effects of the carbide dissolution and unrestricted grain growth at 1350.deg. C peak temperature. Reheat cracking susceptibility was estimated based on microhardness measurement and prior austenite grain size. It was established that for this particular material, reheat cracking in coarse grained heat affected zone can be eliminated if the microhardness is below about 360DPH and the grain size is below about 30.mu.m. It is evident that reheat cracking susceptibility can be eliminated or reduced by carefully controlling the welding parameters such that a refined structure is produced in the coarse grained heat affected zone.

  • The majority of studies comparing the mechanical properties of brittle dental restorative materials now include use of the Weibull Modulus (m). This modulus is determined from analysis of the statistical distribution of strength measurements, which can be determined using a variety of methods, including biaxial flexure, 3pt bend and 4pt bend. In comparing materials it is usually implicitly assumed that the modulus (m) is independent of test method although it is recognised to be highly dependent on flaw distributions. However, in some cases flaw distributions can be modified by sample preparation and test method may modify stressing patterns. This study investigated the pattern of strength and m in two light setting materials.

  • The definite objects of this study are as follows; 1. The study presents the methods of the designing collar pattern and bodice pattern by each concrete object after comparing and analyzing the factors among the features which are in need of clothes designing. 2. The object of this study is to make body-suitable ready-made clothes by comparing and analyzing the methods of designing collar pattern and bodices pattern presented by each concrete objects and Bunka Pattern. The results of this study are as follows; 1 . The results of this study developed the body-suitable bodice pattern of bend-forward type, straight type and lean-back type Compared with the Bunka pattern by physical function test, this study was rated high in the aspects of the shape of neck and shoulder. 2. The collar pattern was designed according to each type. The front center rising point of straight type is 2.5cm, lean-back type is 3.0cm and bend-forward type is 1.5cm. Compared with the Bunka pattern by physical function test, this study is rated high in the aspects of the shape. To confirm the increase and change of the measure definitely, the complete examination of each subject is necessary. This developed and investigated pattern must be supplemented more by comparing and analyzing with other pattern and body types.

굵은골재의 최대치수에 따른 콘크리트 브라질리언 디스크의 파괴인성 (Fracture Toughness of Concrete Brazilian Disk according to Maximum Size of Coarse Aggregate)

  • 파괴인성은 균열의 개시와 전파에 대한 재료 고유의 상수로서 파괴역학에서 가장 중요한 재료상수 중의 하나이다. 콘크리트의 모드 I 파괴인성 측정에 대하여 RILEM 기술 위원회 89-FMT는 2-파라메타 모델에 근거한 3점 휨 시험법을 제시하였다. 그러나 혼합모드에 대한 시험법은 아직까지 표준으로 제안된 방법이 없는 실정이며, 또한 RILEM에서 제안한 3점 휨 시험법은 실험법이 복잡하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 굵은골재의 최대치수가 각각 20mm, 40mm이고, 동일한 설계기준강도를 가지는 콘크리트로써 다양한 크기의 브라질리언 디스크를 제작하였다. 그리고 브라질리언 디스크의 모드 I 파괴인성을 RILEM 3점 휨 시험결과와 비교하였다. 비교 결과, 굵은골재의 최대치수에 따른 브라질리언 디스크의 적정 크기(두께, 직경) 및 노치 길이 비를 제시하였다. 또한 모드 I 시험으로부터 결정된 치수의 브라질리언 디스크로 혼합모드 시험을 수행한 결과 디스크 시편은 혼합모드 파괴의 연구 및 시험에 유용함을 알 수 있었다. 모드 I 및 혼합모드 시험에서 브라질리언 디스크의 응력확대계수는 유한요소해석(FEA)으로 구하였으며 FEA의 결과를 검증하기 위하여 5개항 근사법(Five terms approximation)에 의한 결과와 비교하였다.

  • The purpose of the study is to evaluate fracture toughness on the Laser and the electron beam welded joints of high tensile steels (HT500, HT550, HT650) by using 3-point bend CTOD and Charpy impact test. WM (weld metal) CTOD tests have been carried out using two kinds of CTOD specimen, the Laser beam welding (108mm length, and 24mm width, and 12mm thickness) and the electron beam welding (l71mm length, and 38mm width, and 19mm thickness). WM Charpy impact specimen is a standard V-notch type, and the temperature of the experiment is changed from -45 to 20 degree of centigrade. FE-analysis is also performed in order to investigate the effect of stress-strain fields on fracture characteristics. Results of the standard V-notch Charpy test are influenced by strength mis-match effect and the absorbed energy vE depends on crack path, and The transition temperature of Laser beam welded joints is more higher than that of electron beam welded joints. Results of the 3-point bend test give low critical CTOD and the crack path is in the weld metal of al specimens. These results indicate fracture toughness characteristics of the welded joints and transition temperature of HT500 are similar both a Laser beam welded joint and an electron beam welded joint. But the fracture toughness and the transition temperature of the electron beam welded joints of HT550 and HT650 are higher than those o the Laser beam welded joints.

Effect of shear-span/depth ratio on cohesive crack and double-K fracture parameters of concrete

  • A numerical study of the influence of shear-span/depth ratio on the cohesive crack fracture parameters and double - K fracture parameters of concrete is carried out in this paper. For the study the standard bending specimen geometry loaded with four point bending test is used. For four point loading, the shear - span/depth ratio is varied as 0.4, 1 and 1.75 and the ao/D ratio is varied from 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 for laboratory specimens having size range from 100 - 500 mm. The input parameters for determining the double - K fracture parameters are taken from the developed fictitious crack model. It is found that the cohesive crack fracture parameters are independent of shear-span/depth ratio. Further, the unstable fracture toughness of double-K fracture model is independent of shear-span/depth ratio whereas, the initial cracking toughness of the material is dependent on the shear-span/depth ratio.

금속/세라믹 계면 물성 분석 (Metal/ceramic Interface Mechanical Property Analysis)

  • The flexural strength from 3-point bend test and fatigue properties were measured to evaluate mechanical properties of metal/ceramic interface of the multilayer ceramic package produced through tape casting. From the results, the specimens with three electrode layers showed the highest strength. The temperature distribution with time during thermal cycle and thermal stresses with the change of electrode's shape have been estimated by mathematical modelling. Specimen affected by thermal shock, produced microcracks by the difference of thermal expansion coefficient. The results of tensile test and fatigue test showed the rupture at pin. The fact that the pin brazed specimens were always fractured at the pin proved the good bonding condition between pin and electrode.

중앙에 노치가 있는 콘크리트 디스크의 파괴인성 (Fracture Toughness of a Center Notched Concrete Disk)

  • 본 연구는 디스크로 콘크리트의 파괴인성을 구하는 경우에, 적절한 디스크의 크기(직경, 두께) 및 노치 길이 비를 제안하기 위해서 다양한 크기의 디스크와 RILEM 3점 휨 보의 파괴인성을 비교하였다. 또한 이렇게 정해진 디스크에 대하여 디스크의 노치 경사를 변화시키는 방법으로 혼합모드 응력확대계수를 조사하였다. 실험에 사용된 콘크리트의 압축강도는 44.9MPa이었으며 모드 I 시험에 사용된 디스크의 직경은 200, 300, 400mm 두께는 75, 100, 125mm, 노치 길이 비 a/R은 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6이고 혼합모드 시험에 사용된 치수는 직경이 300mm, 두께는100mm 노치 길이 비 a/R은 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6이었다. 디스크의 응력확대계수는 유한요소해석(FEA), 5개항 근사법, 소균열 근사법, Fowell & Xu의 방법으로 구하고 각각의 결과를 서로 비교하여 해석방법의 타당성을 조사하였다. 모드 I 실험 결과 디스크의 직경 D가 300mm이고 두께 t가 100mm일 때의 파괴인성 $K_{IC}$ 값이 RILEM 3점 휨 시험의 결과에 가장 근접하여 디스크 시험으로 파괴인성치를 쉽게 구할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 디스크 시편은 혼합모드 파괴의 연구 및 시험에 유용함을 알 수 있었다.

The static load test was performed to evaluate the structural characteristic and stability of the AL car body. Considering the vertical, compressive, twisting load and 3-point supporting, Bend natural frequency Measurement, Twist natural frequency Measurement type as a testing terms, the structural stability of a car body was evaluated.
